This place was atrocious! Ppl fighting dirty rooms dirty bedding. No hot water in the sink. Staff not accommodating.

I got a hotel for someone who was homeless had no where to go. I’m a single mom of two and tried to do the right thing.
That person smoked in the room and they charged me 250$ smoking fee and now I can’t pay my bills.
I put the hotel under the persons name and still charged me. They also charged me an additional night without my consent and the manger keeps dodging me and won’t call me they’re over charging me and won’t make it right… Also ironically they charged me a smoking fee and the whole place smells like weed…
I didn’t even sleep there!
Not fair not right!

The idiot on the front desk had a serious attitude problem.

Nicest super 8 I’ve stayed in. Rooms are nice and updated with microwave and mini fridge. Nice bedding. Was very surprised. I stay in a lot of super 8’s. None are this nice.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. We pulled off for a quick dinner after a long way of driving, and we then decided we wanted to call it a day. It is always a hit or miss in my experience with a cheaper place, but this hotel was definitely a nice find! I was so impressed by how clean everything was. It was so nice to have a great, warm shower and sleep in a clean environment. The TV channels were HD and a lot to choose from, which my children definitely appreciated. The location is nice, quiet, and seems very safe overall. The front lobby worker was very inviting and made sure to ask us did we have all we needed. I would definitely recommend this if you need a comfortable night stay, especially if you’re on a budget.

Exceptional stay! I stayed at this hotel three weeks in the month of April, telling the truth I got exactly what I wanted, peaceful, quiet and much needed rest. My room was perfectly cleaned, the staff was there when needed, the manager was just great, a nice smile every time I passed by the front desk, a simple kind word goes a long way in my book she was given me good accommodation to many places and restaurants to eat. Overall was a great stay and I will be back again to Super 8!

Woww! my first step to Super 8, I was shocked the way how is presented, excellent rooms, lobby nice and cleaned. Breakfast is free and its both hot and cold, staff very helpful, the lady at the front desk was very nice and professional, I think her name is Woufa. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay is comfortable, she even called me after I went to my room to check if if everything OK, I stayed in couple Super 8 before, but this one is the best. Thanks again for making my stay enjoyable!

Easy check in. Clean room and bathroom. Very COMFY BEDS! Breakfast was not great no butter! They did have a waffle maker and syrup. For the price it was a great deal!

I was very happy and pleased with my overnight stay at this Super 8 while traveling through Connecticut. Check in was quick and easy, the staff very accommodating and friendly. The room was super clean and nicely appointed, with all amenities I needed for an overnight stay. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The room was quiet. I did not take advantage of breakfast the next morning (being a vegan, hotel breakfasts aren't my thing). I appreciate the affordability, cleanliness and service at this hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of this hotel. I was just telling my husband before we registered that the cheaper the hotel, the stinkier and dirtier they sometimes are. After a military discount, this room with a king size bed cost just over $70. I stepped into the lobby. Pleasant smells and clean, neat environment. It lasted all the way down the hall and into the room. The room actually felt a touch luxurious, with its modern, updated decor. The bed was comfortable, I slept well, and am looking forward to the free breakfast in the dining area. One of the best stays I've had in a hotel!

Big improvement, I will give 5 stars to this hotel, rooms were unbelievable, excellent condition, bed so comfortable and clean, staff very polite and professional, the lady who works on Thursday night at the front desk was exceptional, the ice machine was not working it takes couple minutes so the ice can be ready, since I was tired, she asked me to go to my room and she will brings the ice for me. It was very nice to help me out. Very happy and satisfied. Thanks again!

Excellent service, very clean room, great location. The best part is the customer service in this hotel. Wafa was great, she walked me to my room just to make sure that I am satisfied, I really liked the great atmosphere, I felt warmed and more welcomed at Super 8. Thanks for making my stay enjoyable!

It was last summer. They're just remodeling the place but they are very quiet and good at it can't wait to see what the new place is going to look like.

In a busy area with close and accessible stores in walking distant… the Staff is decent most don’t speak or understand English well which is alittle annoying. Some are not very friendly at all… the Rooms APPEAR to be nice but reeks of cigarettes … towels are full of stains… Housekeeping knocks and even enters your room while your sleeping and even with the DO NOT DISTURB on the door. They are constantly vacuuming the halls at early hours of the morning an frequently have a bunch of people obviously intoxicated hanging out outside smoking and making noise late night on the weekends. Breakfast sucks it’s very limited with cereal, yogurt and bruised apples. The waffles are gross and OJ/Apple juice dispenser always had little black specs of I don’t know what floating in it. (Some FRESH bagels/pastries and mini bottles beverages would be decent. ) Prices are affordable but for long term stays such as 30+ days (which they have a lot of) guest should have a 30 day flat rate where they can live and pay once a month or at least every 2 weeks or something just like an apartment. Because weekly rates can be too expensive and inconvenient. They offer military discounts but refused to apply it to certain packages which is pointless to even offering if their going to pick and choose when they want to honor it. If they enforce the no smoking Rule and thoroughly clean their rooms and get friendlier staff this would stay again but I most likley will NOT be back.

Solid management. Conscientious staff. Respect for all clients. Clean. Helpful. And approachable.

This review is for a Super 8. Not a Hilton. Not even a Marriott. A Super 8. We already know there are no mints on the pillows or jacuzzis or gyms. Going to a Super 8 means either spur of the moment or no other vacancies in the area. Ok. These people were wonderful. Key issues. Sink issues. Phone issues. BUT, the shower rocked! The bed was actually incredible! I would return IF I had to.

Horrible experience. Took three trips up and down before I got Door keys that worked. Bugs were present although not bed bugs. Next night same thing, key cards didn't work. After another 3 trips door finally opened only to find room was not made up. They gave me a new room. There were crumbs on the chair and hairs all over the bathroom. I will never stay here again.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel itself was quiet, but it is right next to 91, and you could hear the traffic from our room. We had to wait for someone to come to the front desk to check us in.

Called the phone number that's on Google (apparently that's not the number for this specific motel), and reserved a queen room (they said it was available), gave them my card lnfo so everything was paid for. They said the minimum age requirement was 18 (which I am). I got there, and I told the guy at the front desk who I was, he asked for my ID, he stared at it for a minute or two and said you have to be 21, then called corporate or something and they said 18. So then he said there's no queen room and that the king room was only $5 (not a big deal usually but I paid for a queen room already and I wasn't trying to pay extra for anything) so after saying no for a minute he said he'll give me the king room for the same rate. So I agreed. Room was freezing for about 45 minutes, TV remote didn't work. Other than that room was good.

Great location and it’s around many places to shop and get something to eat. They were updating the hotel when I was there but it didn’t bother me because I was happy they were taking proud in their hotel.

The staff are nice and attentive. The price is cheap compared to other hotels in the area. Free continental breakfast was pretty good as well. We had some issues with long delays on lights working. Also, the bathroom lock wouldn't work.

We arrived and were told that there was no reservation and for us to call their head office. Head office confirmed our reservation and we sat and listened to the desk clerk argue with the office. The desk clerk Ashraf was amazing and professional with us and we were able to get a room. However the 10-15 dead bugs in the fridge, the black hairs on the shower wall, the dried red spot on the Kleenex box and the rolled up used bandage under the bathroom counter wasn't impressive. The fridge made noise all night. Room service did come in between our days and all the above mentioned issues were still there after they finished cleaning. We were attending a convention and hotels were full, otherwise we would have left. We have stayed at other Super 8's that were great but not this one.

So far so good. I was surprised by how roomy it is in my room, with a small kitchenette and a full refrigerator. The king size bed was also a pleasant surprise. Only complaints so far are that the bath tub doesn't hold water and the breakfast selection is somewhat limited. Other than that, I'd say for the price this is a decent, serviceable room. Also glad that housekeeping is respectful and per our request only brings towels.

Overall the room was fine, and for the price it's about what you expect. The bed was comfortable and pretty quiet considering how close to the freeway this hotel is. The front desk guy that we check in with was not friendly or welcoming. We were not greeted when we walked in, and he took so long with the one person in front of us that my husband and I discussed going to a different hotel while we waited. In the end we stayed and it was fine because we didn't have to go back to the front desk for anything. The free breakfast was free… which is about all that it has going for it. The most concerning thing we noticed was that the elevator inspection certificate was two months expired at the time of our visit. I don't make it a habit of checking this, but the sounds the elevator made when going up one floor we're concerning enough that he checked. Needless to say, but we took the stairs for the next two days.

The front desk customer service is extremely lacking. The person at the desk had zero personality and was not welcoming. The room was newly updated and decent for the price. We probably wouldn't stay here again but it's an option if you need somewhere cheap to stay.

Nice and clean, daytime manager was not as nice. Charged us more than we were told.

Haven't stayed for a few years, but was pleasantly surprised by the renovations when I stayed in August 2017. Will be back for sure, next time I work in the area!

The rooms look pretty good, relatively clean and decorated nicely. However, my room had a leaking shower. I unfortunately had some crazy person banging on my door to deal with.

Decent hotel. I needed to stay somewhere in a pinch due to my water heater being out so I stayed here for a couple of nights. Room was clean, it was cheap, staff were friendly. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, a waffle iron and some bread, but there's a Dunkin, McDonald's, a diner, and a few other places to eat right around the corner.

EXCELLENT! Microwave, Refrigerator with freezer and ice cube rack, HD TV with cable channels, Good smelling toiletries, large mirrors in bathroom and in room, bath tub had curved curtain bar for to accomadate big sized people, a desk with coffee maker and coffee with cups, strong blowing a/c, beautifully calm paint with nice wall portrait to go with it, and best of all, a super comfortable bed. For the price it definitely was worthid. Very friendly staff. We will definitely be staying there again. Thanks Prince!

We walked in and the person checking us in told us we were staying in the Presidential Suite. Went up to the third floor to get to our room and the first thing we noticed was every single door was propped open. Found out why when we entered our room. They were in the process of renovating the rooms and did not fit the doors correctly to the frame. I'm a big guy and had to slam my body weight against it to get it closed. The sitting room side of it only had the end tables and coffee table but no couch or table with chairs. Checked the bathroom then and they did not clean the sink or bathtub at all and left all the grim and dirt were it lay. Didn't clean around the toilet either. Had another couple check in the same time as us. Their room was in even worse shape. Their TV was laying screen down on the coffee table in their sitting room. Also had dead bugs in their bathroom. May have loved it if the hotel hadn't been greedy and tried to put us in the room before they had actually completed renovations.

I wouldn't say this place is 'super Nice' but certainly isn't 'run down' either. Definitely a good value for the money, great location, near various food places and right off the highway.

I have stayed at this Super 8 a few times and I have been 100% satisfied each time. The Staff esp. Bill — The front desk Manager is so friendly, efficient and helpful. He makes me feel like I am family. Gary — The night Front desk mgr. Is also very friendly and goes the extra mile to be helpful. The owners are on site often, friendly, visible, helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious, beds are superior, I don't hear next room neighbors. The location is excellent, close to all highways, Walmart, grocery, restaurants, etc. Breakfast is above average for Super 8 standard.

That's where we stay every time we come to Connecticut and we've always had excellent excellent service that's a place you want to be Super 8 in Cromwell.

This is a great place with great staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable… Staff are friendly and profesional I highly reccomend if ur looking for a clean simple no frills place to stay. Its not fancy. But its a good place to stay. At a good price.

Looks like this place has bed bugs, and unfortunately they don't seem to be in that much of a rush to investigate it. It's understandable that it's a budget hotel, but that is unacceptable. After sleeping in the bed, we noticed that we had woken up with red bumps all over and spots of blood on the sheets, which is pretty cut and dry as we normally don't break out in hives and bleed while sleeping. Luckily, the hotel manager, Bill, is a doctor. Oh, wait, no he's not, but he DID try and diagnose the condition over the phone rather than apologize like any normal human being would. Between the bad attitude + likely bed bug infestation, I'm not interested in staying here anymore and I would not recommend anyone else does, either.

Non smoking section reeked of cigarettes. I was sick the entire next day. I understand that there is smoking allowed in CT but a non smoking room shouldn't be that horrible.

This place has BED BUGS! DISGUSTING! I had to travel to CT on short notice and ended up staying here. What a mistake. I woke up at around 2am and saw a bug crawling on the sheet. I knew immediately what it was, so I grabbed it, and sure enough, it was a bed bug. The manager didn't even have the decency to refund my money. Never again!

Stayed here on Sept 15th and it was an ok stay. Bill on the front desk was super nice and helpful. The room was clean but dated, just looks older. I was on the first floor and found it to be a bit noisy but once I turned on the AC that blocked out most of the noise. Honestly if you are looking for a budget friendly hotel this is the place to stay there was nothing wrong it just wasn't a luxurious hotel. My only complaint is that when I came for breakfast at 9:15 it was told breakfast ended at 9. Asked could I least get some milk for cereal and was told all the milk has already been dumped out. Kind of upset about not getting breakfast but ended up at Cromwell Diner and that was awesome so it all worked out! Lady on the desk in the morning was not as friendly or helpful as Bill the night before.
