Excellent! Cannot wait to come back!

It’s at the base of the best sky resort in the country what more can I say? It’s not fancy or modern, kinda rustic, cowboys helping you along the way. Has a nice pool and hot tub. Close to many restaurants during the open season.

This would be a 3 1/2 to 4 star hotel named after one if the Big Sky developers. The unique decor always reminds that you are rugged country. Service is friendly.

What an outstanding place. Clean. Friendly. Plenty to do. Mountain bikes. Zip line. Base camp activities. Movie room. Great accommodations. Restaurants to meet everyone’s palate. Breakfast was great. Shopping area. Small grocery store. Coffee shop. Can’t wait to go back.

Great place to visit during the summer with lots of outdoor activities such as mountain biking (trail and downhill), hiking, and zip lining. Price was fair for this season. Staff were very helpful. Nice amenities throughout. Older section of the Huntley Lodge is dated and noise transfers from above (foot steps and lots of floor squeaks) and through the walls.

The room was ok, but it's a ski Lodge so you don't really need much more than that. The front end staff is phenomenal. Everyone in the lobby was very knowledgeable and was able to help me with some odd logistical issues. The room cleaning seemed to be going all day, but I'm probably in the minority of someone who actually was in my room most of the day. Solid place, not my dream location but certainly above average.

HUGE lodge, hotel right at main base of Big Sky resort. Clean and roomy, but breakfast was average at best. Coffee wasn't very good. The rooms were nice, 4 of stayed in 1 room (saved some $) and walking distance to the village market, other stores and restaurants at base. Ski shop nearby for tuning skis and clothing too. Wi-Fi, clean bathrooms, better coffee was what we made in the room. parking was next to the lodge, close.

Great place to stay. Staff went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Building is older so rooms are a bit loud and decor could use a bit of updating. Still a great place to stay!

I loved the location. It is located almost at the bottom of the ski hill. You can walk out of your room and be at the explorer lift in 5 minutes. The rooms in the area we stayed in are showing their age. The noises from the pool carry at night. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

I am only giving it 1 star because it wont allow me to give ZERO or less than Zero If I can give less than 0 stars I would. From Check in to check out, the hotel provided one of the worst services I have ever experienced at a hotel. Check — in took over an hour. They attempted to give me one of the worst rooms in the house. Then tried to switch me to another room that already had someone in it! Yes, I had to get keys 3 times and try to get into a room that someone was already in. During this time, I went to try to park car but could not get in because I did not have room. BTW, I found out at end of trip that they had valet parking (they told me they don't tell people that though). Would have been nice to know. They found a room. A lesser room than I reserved that was cheaper than the one that I reserved BUT they wouldn't give me the refund of the difference as they don't do refunds. WHAT? After an argument they did. While staying there, they did not clean room. The housekeeper said she forgot. What? My son went to the gym In the gym a Yoga teacher was giving a private lesson to someone and told him that because her client paid extra that he couldnt be there. What? Since when is a guest not allowed to use gym just because someone else paid more $$$ Disgusting. Concierge was not helpful in finding dinner reservations. They just pushed same recommended restaurants. Upon checkout, I was told I had to bring all of my luggage to the bellman to store.

How good it is the service, and the food is rich!

Stayed here for a weekend ski trip. The location is obviously amazing, but the rooms felt a bit antiqueted and you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. Even the ones across the hall.

Huntley lodge is the affordable lodging option on the mountain at Big Sky. Overall its a decent place and you are definitely paying for the location. Fantastic breakfast options is also a plus. It's nice they give you ear plugs for the historic noise as the walls are thin and the floors make noise on every step. The rooms have not been updated in some time but that didn't really matter too much as most the time is spent elsewhere. The folks that work there are fantastic like most everyone at Big Sky. Probably won't be going back unless I had a conference or other event to attend but if I did I would look at one of the other lodging options and pay a little more.

The Huntley Lodge is an older hotel that has been well maintained. The staff is very friendly. There are useful ski amenities like a boot room and ski valet. The breakfast is complementary, although they bring you a check if you want to tip the waiter. The rooms are adequate. If you are coming to big sky to ski, then this is a good place to consider.

The bellhops are cowboys, which is always fun. There are two large outdoor heated pools and hot tubs. Beds were comfortable and the room was nice.

Very very rude staff. If you book your room discounted you will literally be told by a manager that you will be treated as a second class citizen (as you saved maybe $15 on your room). The manager madeline told us that because big sky had a sale on rates at the Huntley, we were not valued customers with money less green than a full paying customer. She basically did everything in her power to make us feel like big sky didn't appreciate or want our business. I would save your money and not get condescended by a hotel manager.

Stayed for a conference and had a wonderful time. The lodge is historic, but updated. Rooms have great view of the slopes. Plenty to do. Restaurants available. Small grocery with excellent deli near by. Fun for all. Will return again.

Great hotel, stayed here for two nights in the summer whilst in Montana. Room had good Aircon and a fridge. Wi-Fi was good and worked out in the resort to. Not too expensive for the resort of big sky.

Cozy rooms, and an amazing staff. These rooms are being upgraded every year. Individual a/c units have just been installed and work great. The outdoor pool and hot tubs are great too.

Haven't been here yet, but I had some friends stay here recently and they were very pleased with their stay. The views from the hotel were awesome and they couldn't believe how beautiful the sunsets were! They also mentioned the name of a health club employee who worked at the pool during their stay. I believe his name was Jesse. He was very friendly and welcoming to them, even though he wasn't a Montana native. Can't wait for my trip out there! Who knew Montana had so much to offer!

The Huntley Lodge is positioned at the base of Big Sky resort and makes accessing the mountain and nearby village a breeze. The historic Huntley is not as new as the Summit next door but it is also less expensive and larger. Shoshone and Huntley are in the same building. Pull up to the cowboy valet and they will take care of you. Rooms are decent size but perhaps a little dated. Everything a Montana lodge should be!

The location was an amazing choice for a get-away conference! Huntley Lodge itself was, as they said, historic so some of the problems of an old building (such as fairly thin walls), but the staff did provide extras such as ear plugs. All of the staff I met while there were incredibly professional, courteous, and friendly, which really made the experience wonderful. I would highly recommend the location for conferences, and plan on returning at some point for a family vacation as well.

Cheap, on the mountain and a great pool/hot tub. Not to mention a decent free buffet breakfast.

I recommend staying here. Includes breakfast and ski in ski out for an affordable rate.

Wonderful location, beautiful views. Stayed there for a conference in June. There was no air conditioning, which I imagine can get quite uncomfortable in the summer. Overall the rooms were nice, quiet and comfortable.

A fantastic venue for the IEEE Aerospace Conference for both the beauty of the location, availability of presentation rooms, and proximity to the ski slopes.

The Huntley Lodge was a perfect place to stay. The staff was very friendly!

Stayed here for 2 nights, was welcomed by the friendly male staff in cowboy hats who helped us with all our luggage right to the room. A few hours later we were greeted by a call from front desk welcoming us and asking if we needed anything to make our stay more comfortable. The breakfast is AMAZING! Can't stress enough: omelette station, waffle station, and a main buffet. 2 hot tubs and perfectly temped pool were great for apré ski! Waiters would come around and take drink orders right from the pool deck which was a pretty nice convenience even though I we had our own beers. After we checked out and skied the final day, the hotel was nice enough to give us a pool pass for after! The hotel chauffeur drove us to where we needed to go with no questions asked for no charge! Great service for the price, HIGHLY recommend!

While the lodge's age is heard due to little inter-room sounds insulation, the location, amenities, and service is great. We would stay here again for sure. Free ski valet, reasonably priced spa, hit tubs, etc make it a great spot to relax. Breakfast is great too.

Was given wrong room and they did nothing to fix it. I was given the runaround all weekend from both the hotel and Expedia saying they would make it right. I was only offered room difference and nothing else. I will not be back to the Huntley Lodge or book through Expedia again.

Since we had a good deal for this place ($150 for a room) I consider this place as OK, but if I would have paid the regular price of around twice as much then the review would be way worse. The entrance to the hotel looks stunning, so is the reception desk. But as soon as you start looking at other things (cracked floors in all swimming pools, cracking floors, thin walls, outdated bathrooms, absence of air conditioning) then there is only 1 conclusion to make: this hotel is highly outdated and really needs some maintenance/upgrading before it is really worth the money.

Beautiful hotel and rooms with plenty of activities. Could upgrade beds and rooms seem to be a bit noisy.

Ended up staying here because the place across the street (where my original reservation through Priceline was at) turned out to be out of business. The staff at Huntley Lodge was very helpful and accomodating, but the rooms are the noisiest I've ever experienced. You can hear all your neighbors moving around, showering, peeing, talking, and what they're watching on tv. Very little lighting. The "services" folder in the room that usually tells you what's around was dated April 2007 (and we stayed here in June of 2011). The guests just a few doors down were having a loud party but since they were conference attendees the staff didn't seem to feel justified in telling them to quiet down. No parking nearby and not easy to get from your car to your room, especially if you have small children. I guess because of the conventions going on here, there were several large drunken parties happening, surprisingly mostly middle-aged and older folks. Not family friendly at all. I'm also pretty sure our beds were full of fleas — we woke up covered in itchy red bumps. If you're deaf and/or drunk this is the perfect place to stay.
