Don’t go there if you have a truck bigger than 12 it won’t let you park even if there’s ample parking in the lot also don’t request anything special when you’re checking in because you won’t get it, just the exact opposite.

The room was gross. Pee was in bathtub. Only one tall and coffee cup. Half the lights do not turn on. And vending machines broke. Wouldn't recommend. Couldn't even lay in the bed the place was so gross.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights — only because I’m not 21 & can’t book other rooms. They don’t accept cash or any prepaid cards — only debit or credit. I was told that the $50 security deposit was included in the $197 for a standard king room and it wasn’t it was additional. Our room wasn’t cleaned the entire time we stayed there & when we asked about getting new towels we were told to go downstairs and get them ourselves.

These people rude af. Do better. 🤷🏽‍♂️

The beds are advertised as queen beds and they are more like twin size. The check in ladies act like they have no clue what is going on. The “assistant” manager had the maintenance guy enter our room that was supervised and said they told him that no one was staying in that room and it supposed to be empty. He did not announce he was the maintenance man until my spouse asked who he was and what he was therefore. And the phones in the rooms are broken the heat does not work well the shower didn’t work in the first room they moved us to another room I still wasn’t happy I was just tired the rooms were filthy and dirty they are not cleaned or properly. Will never recommend to a friend, family or anyone traveling that way. The manager doesn’t Want to do anything.

The room smelled like smoke. There was NO smoke detector. The front desk clerk Jesse said that he didn’t care that the family had a baby in the NICU. Very rude.

This was by far the absolute worst place I've been too in my whole life. Never would I ever make this mistake again ever.

Worst experience of our lives! Drug dealers, hookers, filthy, disgusting. No fault at the desk, but it was run down, we left after checking in.

Not happy with my stay at all… beds are not queen! I would say more like a full size… area was a little rough and everyone that works there has an attitude… my 6 year old son left his brand new Nintendo switch in the room we live 4 hours away and noticed half way home. We called and they claimed to not have found it… called back a few days later and they said they donated all their lost and found to Salvation Army… called again to talk to a manager which was no help at all, only rude! Save your people. This room is not worth the trouble!

The manager is the most rude person I have ever met. She did not resolve my situation at all. This hotel has BED BUGS. Please save yourself and do not stay here. They are crawling everywhere in the room.

It just sucks no way to do laundry here and beds are soft. Room was very cleaned. Staff is very nice n friendly.

A Absolutely wonderful hotel, staff was very professional, helpful, easy to talk to, one of the house keepers who really impressed us was Kathy Young. The manager, Tori, General Manager, Callie, We definitely recommend Red Roof Inn Plus, the rooms are beautiful, the beds were very comfortable as well as pillows. Our experience was a definite 5.

Great value for the price. Clean, quiet, easy access to other areas of St. Louis. The room is comfortable, staff is friendly. The pillows come in firm and soft and are labeled as such which is a nice touch. The rooms are being renovated and I believe we got one of the rooms that have been completed. The floors have been replaced and the furniture appears to be new. The air conditioning unit works like a champ. We would definitely book here again.

Red Roof was a good value for the money and close to the park and hospital. We had one of the remodeled rooms with fewer of the problems of other guests? It was good value when compared to other downtown motels. There was coffee available to guests, and the parking wasn't so bad for our car. Highly Recommended for value and location.

Not too bad. Dated. Had wood floors so no sticky, disgusting carpeting. No breakfast. I picked the 85.00 (100.00 w/ taxes), room so I'd have a microwave and fridge. Definitely not worth $100.00, but all I needed was a room for the night and all the other hotels were almost 2X as much. If I was with family I would pick a different hotel.

Room was FILTHY! The front desk staff was very nice and helpful tho. I was grateful she reimbursed us for 1/2 the rate but we will not be back. We would have went elsewhere to stay but were so tired from traveling. Hire better housekeeping… ones that know how to clean!

We will not be staying here again. The air conditioner is so loud, keeps getting louder, and is hardly cooling the room. There are several hairs in the bath tub. Let's not forget the front desk staff being rude when you ask why they are charging a price different than what it says on your email reservation.

Nice clean and quiet! If you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay the night, I reccomend this Red Roof in St. Louis missouri. From the moment we walked into the lobby, we were met with a greeting and smile from Tori. She is friendly, professional and a great representative of Red Roof. Thank you Tori for making our visit so easy and pleasant.

The location is perfectly located to get to many St. Louis attractions. The beds are firm and the rooms updated. Staff is friendly. Our rooms were not cleaned one day out of four. We were only left decaf coffee in 4 days so got coffee in the lobby. The price through travelocity is very competitive for the area. Conveniently priced, convenient to the zoo, botanical gardens, downtown and other locations, clean, comfortable beds, pet friendly, and friendly staff, I would stay here again and bring my own coffee.

Excellent location, but very small room, the deadbolt was broken and there was a broken exposed prong in one of the plug-ins. Stayed 2 nights with a small child and worried about these things. Also, was not provided a crib I requested upon booking, not a big deal, but be aware.

The room itself was very nice, clean, and appears to have been recently remodeled. Though, I was irked that there was no mini-fridge or microwave after the rep on the reservation hotline specifically said there was (perhaps this had something to do with it being a pet room? ). The place is a motel (doors face the parking lot) and while the staff was not rude I could not call them abundantly courteous. Parking lot is a bit tight — not ideal for trailers or RVs. The hotel is located very near Forest Park, but I'm not sure that one could walk there safely due to the highway between the two.

Friendly staff. Room was clean. Shower got nice and hot. Very close to the zoo, maybe 15 minutes from downtown. Air conditioner and bathroom fan did not work, as well as you cannot open window, so room became uncomfortably hot overnight. No fridge or microwave.

The rooms look wonderful from the inside equipped with new upgrades along with all the amenities one may need plus more. At check in the gentleman named Ryan has been more than accommodating! (I'm just so exhausted right now I'll take more pictures tomorrow) plus the staff is just outstanding as a couple of the housekeepers were already off duty but help me carry all my items into my room. My mother and I took a trip from Ohio to St. Louis… And we had late arrival… Let me tell you the the lady at the front desk was so warming and sweet when I called to let her know if our 11:00 arrival she took note and told us to drive safe. When we arrived it was easy to find and the location was perfect. Our room was just like the website showed clean comfy with pretty decor. I loved the sink. Only thing no microwaves but the front office has one where they also offer coffee. We stayed 3 days 2 nights. We did not encounter any issues ALL the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about locations and directions. House keeping was on their job as well they were patient and very friendly their want a worker there that didn't speak as I walked by. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. THE STAFF y'all we're amazing thank you and I hope to return and see y'all smiling faces.

Rooms are getting run down. Basic maintenance needed especially in bathrooms. The bed is horrible. The mattress is all spring in your back. The mattresses need immediate replacement. If you're looking for a comfortable nights sleep, this is not your hotel. I recommend a few cocktails before trying to sleep on these mattresses so you don't notice how awful it feels. However, you will feel it the next day. My dog ended up sleeping on the floor and she loves to sleep in bed. The iron is missing from the room. The toilet seat is broken. Feces left in the toilet from last guest. Hair left in the tub from last guest. Do you think House Keeping actually cleans?

The room seemed to be remodeled and somewhat clean. The shower head cover flew off when my fiance was showering. He said it was the worst shower. Usually all rooms come with at least either a microwave or a mini fridge this place had neither you had to pay extra for that. At the end of our stay I ended up paying 85 dollars for one night stay for a room that didn't have a fridge or microwave. The staff… the evening staff were very nice and helpful didn't hear complaining but the morning shift when I was checking out were complaining about other staff and the maintenance said some people got too rough and put two holes in the wall. Not very professional. I would not recommend this place if you can afford another place.

The staff were very accommodating. We ended up hanging out in the front desk area and they were nice and helpful. They have security too and cams outside doors. The room was pretty nice but the shower rooms entire design was very poor for any physically handicapped person to use. The shower bar especially. Also there was only one towel rack. Other than that. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is easy to find and they offer special room rates for Area Hospital visitors the check-in process was smooth the front desk personnel we're helpful and friendly. We arrived late but they still had our room reserved we asked for a late check-out and they gave us an additional hour to check out which was 12 noon the parking lot is clean and well-lighted but our room was on the second floor and the elevator was not functioning upon entering our room we noticed a stale smoke odor but not too strong the room was clean but kind of small as ours had a king size bed in it. The room has a TV with many channels to watch and a place to work if need be. The floors are laminate flooring with no carpet except Runners beside the beds because all the rooms are pet friendly. The bathroom was clean except a little dirt in the corner the shower and tub were clean so we had no complaints with the room the checkout process was easy we just left our key in the room and departed.

Affordable, the rooms were ok without being exceptional. It's a 2-star hotel, and this hotel (Motel) is perfectly in its class.

The parking lot was well lit and interior of my room was in good condition and recently updated. This is great value for the price and location. I had to knock off a few stars because even though every room was clearly marked as non-smoking my room smelled of cigarettes when I got in and the coffee maker in the room was not cleaned out had tobacco leaves in it. The staff didn't care and just wanted to get me in and out. Not a five star experience but a good enough place to stay the night for business in St Louis.

No breakfast offering. And only working ice maker is on third floor at other end of property. However staff was great and room was clean. We stayed in a basic room. Some have been upgraded. But basic room was still decent.

Got an upgraded single room with a King sized bed. It was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Only concern I had the entire time was the fact that it was 7 degrees outside through the night, and the fan in my room had no option to heat the air — — only cool the air. I thought this was odd, but thankfully the blankets and comforter were heavy enough to keep warm. The fridge included in this upgraded room had a freezer compartment, which was nice. Lastly, the front desk clerk was very nice in letting me check in after midnight, as their normal check in times are before 11pm. Would definitely recommend this inn/hotel for any party of four or less.

Anthony was very nice when checking in. Had a little trouble with my reservation as I used a third party and I dot think it had come through yet. Room was very clean and straight. They don't allow smoking but you could still smell a faint odor of smoke though I'm super sensitive to cigarette smoke so others may not notice. It wasn't enough to complain about. Staff was very friendly and helpful when checking out. Asked for important sites to see and they gave me several options. I would definitely stay here again.

I was stranded in St. Louis, with problems with my credit card not working. The Managers Callie, and Dawn went above and beyond anything I expected. Very understanding and courteous, not to mention professional. By choice I will never stay anywhere other than a Red Roof Plus! even the housekeepers where extremely courteous. Very pleased, thanks again for the service. By the way this was the Forest Park location.

Room stunk of cigarette smoke! All of my belongings smell horrible! Floor was nasty and didn't look like it'd been cleaned in sometime. White socks are now black. Stains on sheets and towels. Stayed for close proximity to hospital at reasonable rate. Won't stay again! Guy at desk on second morning was annoying when I asked for more towels. Rude and nasty place!

I stayed there twice. Both times I asked for a first floor room and was told at the desk upon mu arrival that I would have to take a handicap accessible room because that's all they had available on the first floor. I don't understand why they don't secure the room when making a reservation.

Trying to find a hotel that would allow dogs limited our options. Finding one with availability limited our options even more. To that end, I'm grateful we were able to get a room at Red Roof. However they were unable (or unwilling) to match the rate from even their own website, forcing me to use an online service to book the room to get the best possible rate. And even at that rate, I over paid for the size and quality of the room.

This is the second night in a row that I called ahead to this location and asked them specifically what the cost would be for one night with tax included and when I got here the front desk told me a completely different price. The first night I came I had to leave and figure out another place to stay because I didn't have the extra money. Tonight, luckily I had the extra 19 dollars they told me it would cost. Tonight I call them 30 minutes before I showed up and ask them how much the room would be for one night with tax included and told the lady the situation that had happened the night previously, she told me that because I'd only be here for less than 24 hours it would only cost $76. I wasn't able to put a room on hold because I don't have a credit card and that's what they require but she said as long as I was on my way there shouldn't be a problem with me getting a room. She said that regardless of if I got a room with a king-size bed or two double beds the price would be the same. And when I showed up it was a man and he told me the price was going to be $95. I told him exactly what had happened 30 minutes previous to me arriving and what happened the night before and he didn't care. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal but because I'm waiting for my new apartment to be ready I've had to stay in different hotels and I've been in and out of the hospital so I haven't had a lot of extra cash.

Just ok. Great showers. Rooms are redone, but you can tell it was once run down. My room smelled like pot so they gave me a new one. Which was much better. Great historic Italian neighborhood just one block away called The Hill. Right off the highway. Nice location.

First off, let me say that the staff at this hotel was very courteous and welcoming. They do not merit criticism. However, while I understand that budget hotels won't have all the bells and whistles, it appears that everything in this whole property was constructed with the cheapest possible materials. The walls are truly PAPER thin. I was awakened every hour or so all night due to people walking by, closing car doors, or talking: in my room, in the bed furthest from the window, with a pillow over my head, I could make out every word of the normal-volume conversations of passers-by. My normally completely quiet dog was driven nuts. The air conditioning unit was very shoddy and only worked occasionally, and when it did, it was loud as a diesel engine. Once it got to roaring so loudly it woke me up and I had to bat at it a bit until the fan finally quieted. It may have a loose bearing somewhere, I don't know, but it was loud as sin and inefficient at cooling the room. Furthermore, the shower was small and uncomfortable. The beds were just okay: they didn't squeak, but they weren't super plush either. Pillows were thin but usable (I used 2). Covers were just alright. The room was supposedly non-smoking but had the lingering musk of cigarettes. Ice machines are not well-labelled and hard to find. When we first checked in, there was a drunk man who fell over twice outside the lobby and had to be escorted upstairs by a receptionist and a random guest.

I booked a king so my wife and I could sleep after the Billy Joel concert instead of driving back home. It's budget friendly. There are no extras. It was nice, the room is well decorated, but small and the bathroom is your basic setup, nothing fancy. The staff were nice, even offered to call a cab to go to the stadium. It was well worth the price I paid to not have to drive myself back to home so late at night.

We are back again for a few days because my father is still ICU. I can't say enough about the how helpful and accommodating Anthony and Tori were in helping us get checked in. After spending a long day at the hospital, it so nice to see smiling and friendly faces who are anxious to help us get quickly and efficiently checked in.

Great for sleeping but not much else. There wasn't a mini fridge or microwave which was kind of a bummer but the price was $20 less than holiday inn next door. The a/c was loud and made a squeaking noise too. Liked the wood laminate floors and the room was clean so not bad.

We didn't like it here on our Route 66 trip. Room old and partly dirty. Location in the industrial area…

Expensive for what you get. Old. Outdated. And kind of dirty. Won't be back.

We enjoyed our stay at this location. Close to the zoo, museums and restaurants. All the staff were very courteous, professional and the room was clean. We would stay here again in the future.

Dirty filthy room. Had to ask for new quilt. Had something all over the one they had for us to use. Crap (literally) on the bathroom door. Mouse ran across room. Stunk like a musky wet ashtray. Longest night with no sleep. You get what you pay for. 50.00 with hospital discount is so not worth it.

Not sure whether my company skimped this day on the hotel or not but I was not impressed at all. In my experience, this hotel is not as bad as a roach motel but nowhere near what I would call a nice one. This is one for budget minded/no frills people that don't want to go to the worst hotels. The room was small as hell and supposedly I even had an upgraded room. When I first walked into my room I was hit by a really strong musty smell. I checked the sheets and I could see barely visible stains. There are signs all around the place warning of car breakins. It took 15-20 mins just to get checked in for some reason. If you don't mind mediocre, this hotel is for you. And yes, they do try to stick you with a "safe" charge that you have to specifically ask to have taken off when you check out.

Checked in with my father and an 11 year old child late at night. The first room was hot as hades. The air conditioner did not work to cool it off any either. The sink stopped up promptly upon entering the room. The bedspreads were naaasty! We called down and explained the air wasn't working and they moved us. Had to lug all stuff out and back into another room. Had to wake up my 11 year old out of a sound sleep to move him. Only to find that new room had cockroaches in the bathroom and water seeping in bathroom floor. Still, even nastier bedspreads. Well, at least the air worked and the sink wasn't stopped up, right? I also think this is a very seedy area. I WILL Never Ever stay at a Red Roof again. This ruined it for me. Luckily we only decided to book for one night, like we always do for the first night. We have had way too many experiences with sorry places and not being able to get your money back… so we only do one night on first night just to see if the rooms are okay. Thank God we only had one night here!

Customer Service was great. Checked in 7-5-16 at 10:30pm and the night staff were friendly and funny. The room we had was very clean. At check out the next morning the staff was also very friendly. Would definitely come back to this hotel.

Rooms were clean and well-maintained. The staff was very professional and courteous. We had a few issues with some of the amenities, particularly the televisions in a couple of the rooms. Overall I'm fairly satisfied with my stay.

Be aware, this hotel has a "safe fee" where they add a $1.50 to your bill whether you use the in-room safe or not. There is a sign at the registration desk saying they'll remove the charge if you request it. I requested it but the charge was not removed. I imagine they dishonestly make quite a bit of money each year on this little extra fee because most people aren't going to notice or call them on it. But I specifically told the clerk to take it off, and she said it would be removed in 3 to 5 business days, and it wasn't. So I won't stay here again.

What does the "Plus" mean? Stripped down rooms, no mini fridge, no microwave, cockroaches and a bite on the back of my neck. Small bathroom with barely enough room to turn around. Drove around twice to find lobby which is not marked. This is, at most, a $49 a night hotel. Good part — Bed was comfortable and air-conditioning worked.

They don't even have cable at this location. No TV due to a storm. I guess I'll just look at myself in the mirror before falling asleep. Oh wait, I forgot I brought my Chromecast with me!

Room was very hot. Air conditioner would not cool it down even running on 60 degrees on high cool all day and all night. Paid extra to have extra pillows and bottled water and juice. Did not have extra pillows, had one bottle of water and one bottle of orange juice for 2 people. Other than that it was okay, just miserably hot.

Tiny reception area, no breakfast, broken computers to check me in, barely working phones, shady neighborhood. However on the upside, completely no smoking, clean rooms, parking lot security, cheap prices and very close to concerts and the zoo.

The location is convenient, and the price is very affordable. I've been coming back for 6 years. The only thing I don't like is that the rooms are never cleaned right. The front desk staff is friendly though.

Do NOT stay here! Our car was parked in a well lit area right outside our door. Around 3 am we heard an alarm go off and about 15 minutes later there were cops at our door. Our car and several others had Windows busted and stuff stolen. Be weary of this place. Reading the other reviews, this isn't the first time.

Spent the weekend here while my truck was in the repair shop. Very convenient location with access to food (24 Hour Hardee's) and others within walking distance, a convenience store across Hampton Road. Quiet location, room was really clean, beds comfortable, ice, drinks and vending areas available. Heat was thermostat controlled with a window unit for air. Nice, hot showers, well lighted and monitored parking, and a decent selection of channels on the TV made for a comfortable stay.

Our room stinks like someone smoked in it! Its a smoke free room! The night hotel girl was super rude when we checked in! She charged us more then we were quoted over the phone and didn't give us a receipt. (Not to mention she was talking on the phone the whole time she was checking us in! ) If I wasn't parking the car I while have protested! I kept on stepping on stuff on the floor dirt or? I felt like I had to wear shoes or slippers the whole time. Other than that the room was decent. The bathroom was clean and the ac/ heater both worked, although the ac smelled like old cigarettes : — (

This hotel chain in general has given my family a hard time. The general manager Cali and her staff Tori are in particular being pointed out because Tori was aware of the mistake the the company made in booking me for and extra night and charging me for it. I was told by guest relations that because they were at fault I would receive the rate I was quoted for in the first place. Cali was unwilling to honor the rate. Even had the nerve to think she was doing me a favor by refunding me the no show charge. Well of course you are going refund me IT WAS YOUR ERROR. What kind of operation are you running? I have never dealt with a company hospitality in general to send you through so many changes and unwilling to be of help when it was their fault to begin with. When I told Cali that I was going to see of going else where she then tried to quote me a lower rate after she said it was nothing she could do to a rate that was still higher that the agreed rate. Which tells me that she could accommodate me if she chose to but she chose not too. I made it clear that my 92 year old grandmother would be staying as well and all she could give me was a sorry. She has to be in the wrong profession. If you can't get anything solved with the gm then who you suppose to talk to. They had the nerve to charge $129 for a 2 star hotel. Please! I can get better service with a motel.
