The hotel itself is nice. We stayed to be close to Barnes Jewish for a medical procedure for my husband. I tried to book over the phone so I could get a discounted rate for a hospital stay, but the phone just rang and rang and no one ever answered so I just booked online. I hoped they could adjust our rate at check in, but they said all the discounted rooms were booked and I should have called ahead. The room was $250 for one night, which I think is incredibly high for such a simple room. The bed was horribly uncomfortable but that's my biggest complaint about the room besides the price. Charging that much for a basic room I would have expected the hotel to have at least a pool, but it doesn't. It's a nicely decorated overpriced hotel. Next time we have to stay downtown for a medical procedure I think I will just stay a little farther away from the hospital at Holiday Inn.

No complaints really. We did want to do laundry and they don't have a coin machine, or have change handy. We had to walk down the block. Rooms are clean and nice. Not many amenities but our son is in the hospital so we just need a place to sleep. Do wish the breakfast was better though.

It was very clean and smells great. No bathtub in my room was 1 thing I wasn't happy about and it's not walking distance to Busch Stadium. Also the shuttle doesn't go to the attractions. The staff are helpful and nice.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms comfortable and nicely decorated. Hotel location was great.

Rooms were clean and cozy. The pillows were so comfortable I actually wrote down the name of them to order at home! Continental breakfast was your usual hot hotel breakfast. Overall great hotel!

I wish I could write a positive review of this place. My girlfriend and I waited for over two hours to check in. I ended up having to demand for a different room because the original wasn’t going to be ready for an inderterminate amount of time. There were several other families experiencing the same problem, two of which had been waiting to check in for 5 hours +. We drove 4 hours to visit St. Louis for a friend, but had to miss a part of our plans because of the hotel’s disorganization. Perhaps it was just a bad day for the staff, but I could not recommend this hotel to anyone and have a clear conscience. However, I will give a shout out to one of employee (Sandy) who went above and beyond to accommodate. Sandy, you rock.

One of our favorite places to stay when doing the least fun activity of going to the hospital. The staff is wonderful; from front desk special requests, awesome parking attendants, to an amazing housekeeping & restaurant crews… all around, the warmest & most sincere THANK YOU. Next time, we're staying only because we love the hotel & downtown location — — no more Barnes Jewish Hospital visits!

Centrally located. Parking on site, no valet. Rooms were modern, well maintained and clean. Walls and doors are thin and I could hear the people in other rooms talking. Applebee's is connected to the hotel. It's not good, but it's there.

Very nice. Comfortable beds, hot showers with plenty of water pressure. There were fresh cookies in the lobby when we arrived. Giving 4 stars because the light on the thermostat was extremely bright and made it hard for me to sleep well. Everything else was perfect.

Clean room. Easy access to hospital. And if this place hired more people as pleasant as Juanita who was the most beautiful and professional person my family has ever met this place would get more than the 5 stars I gave it. She worked in food service but sometimes when you staying at a Hotel it's the people who make you feel at home that makes all the difference. And Juanita did.

The valet/check in area is very small, maybe like 3 cars can park there and it’s parallel to the road leaving you nowhere to go if the valet is full. The parking garage is accessed by your room key which is nice if you were able to check in otherwise you’ll have to pay to park for 10 min to check in. We supposedly had a VIP room but none of the amenities were in the room. The “hot” breakfast isn’t “hot” at all unless you consider cereal and toast a “hot” breakfast. It’s not a horrible hotel but it’s definitley not what they advertise it to be.

Nice clean hotel with spacious rooms. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. A great place to stay for a night or two. It's not fancy but clean and nicely located.

Great accommodation and perfect location to Barnes Jewish Hospital. But very poor management. Managers were unable to provide safety deposit box because they couldn't figure out which keys opened them. Wound up opening a box that was already in use. Upon check out, again, the managers nor the desk clerk were unable complete a refund and wound up charging one of our rooms for two extra nights, took an hour and a half to fix. Must take the good with the bad here for convenience sake and hospital access.

Everything is clean, and the employees are very welcoming and helpful. The room is well laid out, and we were lucky enough to get a corner room with great lighting and a nice view of the area. The walkway to the hospital is handy, but I prefer the walk outside. I'd have to say my one "complaint", which it isn't, but the water shower pressure is REALLY high. It feels great, but my wife just had surgery and we had to do some improvising so she could take a shower with lower pressure. Breakfast ranks up there with Drury Inn. Biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, juices, milks, cereal, eggs, etc. They have popcorn throughout the day and have chocolate chip cookies in the evening.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… It was great having the breezeway to the hospital to come back and forth. The walk is about 7 minutes but you never have to drive or go outside to see patients. The beds are super cozy and there's plenty of food around in walking distance but elders will have to cross a busy intersection at light. Applebee's is in the lobby. If you need surgery before hotel shuttle service open the hospital security shuttle will get you 24/7. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There is a small fridge and I'm glad we brought in a few drinks and snacks. The breezeway is on 3rd floor at hotel so I suggest asking for room on 3rd floor. Ask for hospital rates! The breakfast in morning is not perfect but it gets you some food. The breezeway takes you right past the hospital cafeteria too! Each time we go back and forth we just stop to eat. It's made the cancer surgery stay so much more pleasurable! Less stress for sure. Fitness center on level 7.

This hotel is in the perfect spot if you are visiting Washington University school of medicine or Forest Park. It has nice, comfortable, clean rooms. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Also, it includes a good free breakfast. If you are visiting the St Louis area I highly recommend this hotel.

I was in town for my husband's hospital stay. The hotel is attached to the hospital by walkway so I didn't even have to go outside to visit the hospital. The decor was modern & warm. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room was nice! The free hot breakfast was better than the hotel chains. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location central to major hospitals and transportation hub. Clean rooms, OK breakfast and helpful staff. (Update one year later). Love the well lit hallways and lighting in the rooms. Generally clean but some decline in overall maintenance. (Torn shower curtain, slow sink drain) Front desk staff varies in helpfulness and/or ability. Ashley was very helpful in getting my wife's 93 yo mother in a room near ours on a recent stay. This is a clean, well decorated, hospitable 3 star hotel. If you want a comfortable bed, clean bathroom and mostly helpful staff give it a try. If you want turn down service with a mint on your pillow try another hotel!

Great hotel for the price. Free shuttle really saved us and so nice. Attached applebees in a pinch. Great breakfast in the morning. My only note: the maids seemed very quick to just hand us towels in the hallway instead of actually cleaning our room. By 4 days, we had a million baby shampoos!

Remains a Class Hotel I noticed they even have bath robes. The beds are so high it is hard to get into. The complementary water and treats are nice. I have enjoyed both stays. Thanks.

Nice room. Well appointed and spacious. Free breakfast was good… Not the best I have ever had but plenty of choices and well worth trying. Location was good with lots of food and shopping options within walking distance. Only problem, and it didn't bother me was that my window faced the parking garage… Easily remedied by asking front desk for a front room. Nice place overall… Wouks stay here again.

Perfect location for getting to WashU medical campus and Barnes Jewish. Parking is $7 a night, and they have good free breakfast, cookies every night, and popcorn every afternoon. Our room was clean and I also liked the little couch and footstool.

Rooms look super nice & clean when you enter. They need to be dusted better though. Top of headboard, mirror & picture frames were disgusting. So I left a note. Horrible view. Of the parking garage. Front desk was friendly though.

Great service reasonable price for what you get no pool but the hot breakfast more than makes up for that. Free shuttle to local venues Made me feel like a king.

Location is great, plenty of delicious restaurants within walking distance. It has a connection to the Hospital which is fantastic. The accessible amenities for someone who is handicapped are a mixed bag. The shower and bathroom were quite slick and the bed and toilet are a bit tall for someone who is wheelchair bound.

Great rooms, great service. Area is nice and there is parking connected to the hotel. If you're going to the zoo, art museum or park this is a great place to stay!

Was there in a pvt. Duty nursing capacity, they were always kind and helpful, and very accommodative. They frequently service patients and patient families for Barnes Hospital… a lovely experience, and each morning the Continental Breakfast was extensive and satisfying. They are lively hosts!

Trip to Barnes Jewish Hospital in June for a 2nd medical opinion. Overnight stay — PRICE for a 2 "bed" room (told by the hotel booking agent this was only room left) a little PRICEY. Staff was great. Have a great breakfast buffet for guest to start their day. Next to hospital and small chain restaurant on premises. St. Louis Zoo/Forest Park very close.

Great stay. The location is perfect. Right next to beautiful Forest Park. Easy walk down Euclid street which has a variety of restaurants with outdoor seating. Short drive to the Arch and Busch Stadium. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The price was really great for the area. The breakfast was just okay, not that great. But it was a hot breakfast so that's a plus. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

If you have business at St. Louis Children's Hospital, especially for multiple days, this is a great spot. Skyway from hotel to hospital is great. My group got horrific cell service. Almost no texts or calls got in or out.

Room was clean and nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Sound dampening could be improved. Construction was ongoing in the parking garage and was quite loud in our room (facing the garage). Would return again.

Hotel itself not particularly luxury. Room on fifth floor is ok, however, we were right next to the air conditioning system for the building and holy heck, is it ever loud. A lot of the building shows wear. Shower pressure is awesome, but no matter where you aim nozzle, water ends up all over the floor. Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of lovely shopping/restaurant district, also Whole Foods and local upscale market.

Very nice little touches like free cookies in the evening and free popcorn throughout the day. Very pet friendly, even gave our dogs bandanas to wear. Biggest problem is the lack of light on the bathroom; very gloomy in the shower with only one light over the sink.

Good Wi-Fi, clean rooms, good fitness center, nice amenities. Good free coffee in the lobby. The breakfast was terrible, and the free cookies are a nice thought, but are also terrible.

Rooms were clean and cozy. I found the lobby to be very spacious and a nice place to wait. Breakfast could be served for longer hours (6:30-9:30, maybe try to 10:30? ) and be a little more extensive. Overall I enjoyed my stay and the staff was very accommodating and welcoming.

The Good: Staff was friendly, breakfast was good, and direct access to the hospitals nearby via the walkways. The room was clean and stocked. The Bad: Thin walls and a room near the elevators. Was loud. The Ugly: Our room had a nice view of Saturn… I mean a Saturn because the window was about 5 feet from the parking garage.

Ok hotel, close to hospital. Super rude staff of the two I met at front desk and one on an intercom. Bad parking with poor access to hotel.

I had a pleasant stay. Breakfast was much appreciated as well as the warm chocolate chip cookies waiting for me when I got back from dinner.

I've stayed here almost monthly going on two years, not bad at all. Good, friendly staff (though they won't go out of their way to be helpful), convenient shuttle, next to some good bars.

The Parkway Hotel was great. It was in a purposefully convenient location next to Barnes Jewish Hospital. The room was decent but clean. Staff was friendly. The complimentary breakfast was actually got food and it was tasty. I would stay here again.

The Parkway is clean and consistent, and its staff is friendly and professional. Hotel Wi-Fi is quick and reliable (and there's no splash page, which makes it Chromecast friendly). The breakfast is pretty rough, though: rubbery eggs, grim potato patties, etc…

My son was recently married in St Louis. We needed to find a hotel near where the event would be held (Tower Grove) as well as near sites in St Louis. The Parkway was a perfect fit and they came through in a big way. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very good. Our whole family had a positive experience and I would recommend this hotel from business or pleasure.
