So we went to Ziggy's, which is located at the Lamplighter. Let me be the first to say, the food is unreal. Best chicken tenders I have ever had (don't tell my wife! )! And there is something up with the cod… It was unnaturally good. I mean it was so good that it didn't make sense. The employees there were absolutely wonderful. Overall, a fantastic experience. I will be going back!

Dirty! The 1st room we got had vomit in it. The night clerk was very apologetic & got us a new room. That room needed a deep clean! There was a dirty wash cloth under the sink & something on the toilet. When we checked out in the morning the day clerk asked how everything was. I told her they need to clean the rooms better. She acted like I was just making things up, I told her to just head on up to room 224 & look at the floor between the bed & wall then. Stay somewhere else, this is not a place for families!

Most of the time Ziggies restaurant is great. Last time we were there the service was terrible, the waitress kept saying "I have a large group in the back". Well I can be understanding and sympathetic to a point but I'm a paying customer as well so if it takes a little longer I understand but don't let us sit and wait for a table then let it take 7 or 8 minutes before anyone decides to ask us about drinks. I like this place so I'll get over it but last time was not a good experience. Oh the food was still good, no worries there.

Check in staff was very polite … room was a disappointment. Very old & not well maintained decor. Mold & grime along baseboards that explained the faint musty odor in the room. The air conditioner did work … but was quite noisy. There must be no insulation in the walls because you could hear all the movement in the hallway as well as all the traffic outside the grimy window. Not condusive to a good nights sleep but it really didn't matter because the bed was the worst part so no one was going to sleep anyway! I tried several times to find a place on the bed to lay down … but I never found a place where I wasn't being poked by a spring or something. It was just plain bad all around. There are several other choices right close by … I'd say give this place a miss & try one of the others.

The gentleman on duty at the desk went out of his way to find us a room. We had been at Mercy Hospital and been up for over 24 hours when we went to the hotel. Our room was nice, the air was cold, and the bed was comfy. Thank you sooo much!

Comfortable beds, clean rooms, great check in and out experience. The continental breakfast was stocked with a good variety. There were 2 things I wasn't happy with but they are minor. Ran out of hot water during a 10:00 shower (4 minutes in) and at breakfast they ran out of coffee and none was made before we left (25 minutes) I would stay again.

It was filthy, nasty, smelled musty, had hair, several found in the sheets, and different places in room. Lysol was used on everything to finally feel comfortable enough to stay there. Because it was graduation season it was not feasible to go to another facility/property. I recommend motel 6 before staying at Lamplighter Inn… I giving it one star because the staff was friendly but other then that. The place was horrible!

Bathroom ceilings were very low. You could not put your arms up in the shower also the shower head was terrible. The breakfast wasn’t good and they were out of syrup for the waffles. The elevator was really old & small. The staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful. Seen a lot of the staff just standing around or outside smoking. Some of the lamps had no light bulbs.

Staff is nice. Our room was filthy! And, I do have pictures! When I am charged $80 it had best be nice. I will be calling corporate. If they do nothing, the pictures will be posted and go viral! I was disgusted with the dirtiness of the room! Anthony Melchiorri please review this hotel and bring it up to par!

Ziggy's used to be a go-to place for us to get breakfast anytime since they were open 24/7. Last night was likely the last time we'll be going back. Tables from past patrons hadn't been cleared, the floors looked like there had been a food fight and we had to ask for a second cup of coffee and straws for the drinks. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the food was as expected, although I sent the potatoes back to be browned. We usually leave at least a 20% tip but this waitress didn't deserve anything. If I was paying the bill last night, I would have left 3¢ under the upside-down water glass.

In bad need of modernization. I have been going here for 20 years, and in the past 5, the decline is noticeable. Rooms have very few updates, main hall from front was leading in to a bucket. Breakfast area was sticky and poorly stocked. Beds were clean and bathroom was clean, but just felt a bit ran down overall. Slept fine.

Nice clean room. Cheap. And in the middle of town. Close to pretty much everything. But, neither of the bedside lamps or the usb charging station worked. The only other outlet was behind the bed where you really couldn't get to it. And there was no toothpaste in the bathroom. I probably won't be back.

The staff couldn't have been more polite or helpful. Kasie helped get me in as quickly as possible for as little as possible after a very long drive and went out of her way to help me find a permanent place. There was a thing here or there that could've been better with the room itself but the staff (in their entirety) more than made up for any other shortcomings.

We stayed at the South Lamplighter Inn & Suited on Glennstone in Springfield Missouri. The staff was friendly enough however the cleanliness of the Inn needed a lot of attention. The floors were very dirty throughout the Inn. Trash was actually inside of the Inn on the floor in more than one place. There were dead potted plants throughout the lobby and the roof leaked as did the first room we was in. We had to switch rooms as our first room had water coming in through the window seals onto our heating unit. And our first room had dirty sheets that had been made up into the had. The second room actually had someone's left over coffee in the pot and food particles in the fridge. There was an empty prescription bottle on the outside of the Inn at a side door on the ground. The bed itself was comfortable and the bathrooms in the room were clean. We would not stay here again unless there were many improvements to the housekeeping issues. We did not stay to eat breakfast but I did look and waffles as well as biscuits and gravy, sausage links and cold cereals were offered.

Jared the night-time desk person is so awesome! If you have a problem with unclean bedding he will get you new sheets. The hotel was really busy the night I was there and Jared made sure to take care of all the guests needs. If it wasn't for the sheets I would rate this place four stars. Also the breakfast is totally awesome!

It’s 2AM and I haven’t got any sleep and have to be up super early for a funeral tomorrow. All I can hear is the room next to me loud laughing/talking and hitting the walls and I keep smelling weed. Beyond annoying.

Met with guys from work. And we were all quite pleased with the experience. Food was great and service was exceptional. We will be back.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was ok but the bathroom looked old and not clean but could have just been because it needs updated. Floors were stained and the bathroom door was looked dirty.

Pretty ok hotel room. The shower was not super. The restaurant that is attached is pretty good though.

Elevator wouldn't close properly, doors are very thin and you can easily hear people in the hallway. Internet speed was very good, though, and the desk workers were great. Probably needs renovation.

Restaurant service could've been much better. I saw employees working while on their cell phones; waitress was distracted & kept forgetting things and there were only 5 tables being served. Floors were kind of gross and our booth seats had to be wiped off before sitting down. However, the food was cooked great & tasted great too.

Was surprised at how nice and friendly the staff are. Breakfast was good. Had a wonderful time.

It's overall cleanliness leaves A LOT to be desired. Rug in room is filthy, the laundry area, which is two stacked washers and dryers you would find in an apartment are not adequate for a motel. The elevator takes five minutes to travel between 3 floors. No security. The list is too long. Maybe the North location is better, I don't know.

Nice room, comfortable beds. Easy access to anything centrally located in Springfield! Free passes to the bar next door always a plus on a night out!

If there's a different place to stay… Stay there. This lamplighter is right next to a strip club not very family friendly. Poor decision all around on our part. Writing this so no one else makes that mistake. Many ladies of the night if you know what I mean. Also the staff doesn't really understand customer service.

Convienant location, fairly close to everything. Good prices and clean rooms. Other rooms around us where fairly noisy and little sound dampening from the hall is distracting. Still for a price a quality stay.

Got really nice service from front desk. Enjoyed clean and comfortable room I had. Easy access to parking and room.

Staff was very nice add helpful. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was decent. Just fyi there is a gentleman's club that shares the parking lot.

I've been coming there for years I enjoy the restaurant very much and their staff is also very agreeable. They have a large menu and are generally pretty fast about it.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is going through upgrades which was visible in some areas. They offered free breakfast that included biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage and donuts.

Most of the time, it's a nice place to stay. However, they didn't even bother to check if my adjoining rooms that I reserved ACTUALLY had a door between them. So, we were stuck with separated rooms. Not happy at all. That was the only thing I asked for. Now the restaurant closes early, not 24/7 anymore. That was a big reason for staying here, as visiting hours at the hospital end around 9, having a place to eat afterwards was a plus. Not anymore.

I stayed here for several weeks for work. I know I was going to get what I paid for, but the maids were HORRIBLE. All they did was make bed and replace towels.

This place is nasty! Our 1st room had hair all over the floor and in the bathtub, it clearly had not been cleaned… the 2nd room had bed bugs! We got the heck out of there quick… only plus was the management was very nice.

I'm trying to word this carefully because I do believe their hearts are in the right place but they are missing the mark. I stay there because they offer a discount for those who have to travel for medical treatment and the room I normally get is very accessible for my needs. They have a free breakfast that is delicious and an attached restaurant. (My only complaint is it closes at 11 now rather than 24/7 like it was. ) The staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The down side: Some of the people popping in for the night would make anyone cringe and I'm more than accepting. Let your freak flag fly! However the guests can run wild. Please don't drink beer by the back door and smoke while screaming into your phone at someone at all hours of the day and night. Please don't ask me to watch your children/child/pet/purse/phone or anything else. I love kids and animals but I don't know you. Don't be loud right by my window all night, do not take the handicapped spots unless you have a tag, and heads up to everyone, I went to get a cable from my car just before be and I had planned to sit a second because I was in pain on the bed and just as I got in and shut the door, I heard my passenger door shut and there's a woman in my car that just started talking about her meth rehab, kept asking if I was a cop, said her two motel roommates had fought so she was just giving them time to make up.

I guess it's true, you get what you pay for. 2 plug ins, and a power cord. The beds were comfortable but only full size, not queens as stated on website. Small sink vanity, sheets had stains, picture in room had something on it, not gonna say what it looked like! Paint chipped off the walls. The room was very dusty. Food on the hallway carpet. The elevators were nasty. Was a domestic dispute in the hallway and into the next room! Vomit in front if the hotel entrance! The pool needed some cosmetic maintenance. TV very fuzzy, not many channels to watch. We stayed two nights, and no one came in to make beds or straighten up, like most housekeeping does! The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was okay. Ziggies is not 24/7 as stated in the website, but friendly staff and good food!

Fine hotel. Had a mini fridge and working TV in room and a king size bed. Service was fairly good. Room was in a slight state of disrepair. A/C worked well. Breakfast included but I did not try.

The people are nice but… this place is dirty in the lobby and hallways. The rooms are a little better but not much. The continental breakfast could use a lot of help. No fruit for the last 2 days. One juice and they don't seem to refill the food when it runs out.

We've stayed here several times. Love there waffles and danishes. U have access to 2 computers and a great resterant/drinks. Only thing that would be better is having there hot tub inside. Nice staff and super long halls from single elevator, need another one closer to front parking.

One of the best parts about staying here was the house keeper. Kila is just awesome! She was willing to do more than asked to do and I'm just impressed with that and how great of a person she is. I love how she cleaned our room and took enough thought for my youngest child. I just want to say thank you Kila for this. Please continue doing a great job for others.

Disgusting and made me want to take another shower when I got home. Where to start… I know! How about the fact that it's next door to a strip club and I felt as if I was going to be murdered. Lobby looks decent but that's where it stops. Walking to the room you're presented with caution tape around the pool that makes it look like a murder scene. The windows are hazed up and not clean. Halls smell of mold and mildew and I doubt it's from the trash sitting in the hallway, couldn't be. Carpets are stained and walls look like they've seen better days. Once I was inside the room I was greeted with old carpet and more of a musty smell. The room appeared clean overall but I, being the germaphobe I am, would have to check closer. I first went over to the window to see what the view was. Parking lot out back. No biggie really. The 9 inch crack in the window would have provided fresh from outside air had they not decided to repair it and sealed it up with box tape. Darn. Of the 2 pillows on the bed, one had some sort of brown stain the size of a silver dollar on it. I can only speculate what it was. Blood, poop… who knows. To the floor with it. The other pillow had 2, foot long hairs on it. Gross. I about lost my lunch trying to pick them off. They gave a good fight though with being intertwined into the threads. So when trying to tug them out they pulled the pillow. No visible bed bugs luckily. Believe me, I checked.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Immediately on walking in it smelled like an animal had made the place it's bathroom. The second strike was the blood stains on the sheets and comforter. Third strike was the hair that was on both beds. I am about 90% sure the first room they gave us had the same sheets on the bed for us as it did the last guest. I travel for a living and this was hands down the dirtiest room I have ever checked into.

Very nice hotel. The rooms are always clean and up to date. It's also located a fair distance to anywhere important in Springfield. 10/10 would recommend!
