Disgusting and made me want to take another shower when I got home. Where to start… I know! How about the fact that it's next door to a strip club and I felt as if I was going to be murdered. Lobby looks decent but that's where it stops. Walking to the room you're presented with caution tape around the pool that makes it look like a murder scene. The windows are hazed up and not clean. Halls smell of mold and mildew and I doubt it's from the trash sitting in the hallway, couldn't be. Carpets are stained and walls look like they've seen better days. Once I was inside the room I was greeted with old carpet and more of a musty smell. The room appeared clean overall but I, being the germaphobe I am, would have to check closer. I first went over to the window to see what the view was. Parking lot out back. No biggie really. The 9 inch crack in the window would have provided fresh from outside air had they not decided to repair it and sealed it up with box tape. Darn. Of the 2 pillows on the bed, one had some sort of brown stain the size of a silver dollar on it. I can only speculate what it was. Blood, poop… who knows. To the floor with it. The other pillow had 2, foot long hairs on it. Gross. I about lost my lunch trying to pick them off. They gave a good fight though with being intertwined into the threads. So when trying to tug them out they pulled the pillow. No visible bed bugs luckily. Believe me, I checked. Under the mattress, sheets, anywhere I thought the little creatures would go. I turned on the A/C unit and left for about 90 minutes to have dinner. Not at the strip club in the same parking lot but to the restaurant connected to the hotel. The restaurant food was good. I'd go there again. Upon returning to the hotel, I opened the room door and was hit in the face with an overwhelming smell of rotten, mildew, mold, poop, whatever it was. It was nasty and I started gagging. It was coming out of the A/C unit. YAY! I turned off the unit and let it sit for a few minutes. Turned it back on and it seemed to go away luckily. I actually looked into the A/C unit wondering if there was any connection to the sewer, it was that gross smelling. The bathroom seemed to have been updated but not with high quality materials and not all of the way. I also love it when at hotels the toilet paper has about 6 inches left on a roll. That's always a good thing to leave in the bathroom for the next person who stays there, makes them feel connected to the previous user. I did have to use the toilet and nothing's worse when the seat moves several inches under you causing you to slide to one side in a violent motion giving you the feeling of falling. I literally gasped expecting to find myself on the floor with my pants down around my ankles. The shower head was wonderfully placed in the corner of the shower right next to the curtain so if you wanted to get under the shower head you had to pretty much get wrapped up in the curtain. Horrible placement. In the morning I stopped by the free breakfast but didn't take part except for coffee. The coffee was rather good. All in all, not a good experience. I would not recommend staying here unless you lose a bet.
