It's a very nice venue. Easy to see the stage and get great pictures. Highly recommended.

Who knew? Such a surprise to find the Star in the Desert arena venue. Great show, sound, lighting and courteous helpful ushers. What a surprise! If you’re looking for a ride out of Vegas and a laId back casual environment check out the events at this venue.

The amusement area was OK. The log ride was closed… They say it's down for refurbishment but it seems like it's been closed for a long time. The roller-coaster was operating. The other rides were not manned. The buffet appeared to be closed and the tram between the properties was offline. The theme was still there that I love. The cleanliness is lacking on the casino floor and the rooms. I get that this place is only a stop while people are on their way to and from Vegas, but I guess I expected better.

That is my first negative review, for most of the cases I can explain myself anything what did go wrong and get over it. Booked a room, came in. That was a line at the registration. 50 minutes waiting to hear that they do not have clean rooms and I need to wait another 45 minutes. Refund please. I am a trucker, and have 10 hours night rest. I am here only cause Flying J Shower system is down, and willing to pay $60 to get a room with one of those, spend money at the bar and restaurant,. I’ve been in customer service for years, not sure whose mistake is that. But how indifferent you should be to let it happened to anyone. There were elderly people in line, families,. At least 30 peopleThat is sad that this review wouldn’t change anything. They will still get those guests, waiting, as they basically have no choice left with their booking at 10pm on Sunday,.

For the price you pay, they really need to do some upgrades. I could see large patches in the walls that were done poorly. Some of the furniture in the room was pretty beat up. The room was so warm and changing the setting on the cooler did absolutely nothing. My friends in a room down the hall had the same issue. It was about the same in the hallways, so I think their air conditioning system is just very inadequate to handle the 111 degree heat. On the plus side, the king size bed was extremely nice, and so were the pillows.

Gave Buffalo Bills four stars as a benefit of the doubt since I only visited the Casino. I've never stayed at the hotel. Been here countless times before The "Old West" theme, by design, is apparently permanent; given the name of the place and all that implies. That being said, the decorations inside the casino have not changed much, if at all, since the place first opened it's doors way back when. The place is too dark for my taste, giving it a feeling of being dusty and dingy. The casino area by contrast is brightened by the glow of slot machines and other attractions designed to draw you into risking your money. As casinos go, this one is not too different than most. Seen one, seen them all is the impression I got. The staff is attentive and well trained in the art of customer appreciation. No complaints there. (With the possible exception of the McDonald's Restaurant order taker who appeared to care less if I was there or not. ) Overall it is a nice place to stop on the way to or from Vegas. Give it a try.

Empty with hardly anyone there. Not what you expect for a casino to be like. Hard to find your way out of this casino… the way it's built drove me nuts. We couldn't find the exit and the casino took you in circles. Kind of like the song Hotel California where you can visit but never leave. Hotel rooms were clean and had the basics and were pleasantly affordably priced.

The casino was definitely the best part of this location. Small but, a fun experience. The roller coaster was down and the arcade was under construction (as of June 2018). While the rooms are a little rough around the edges, service was pretty darn good. With an on-site Denny's, McDonald's, and Panda Express there's quite a variety of familiar foods, at resort prices. All in all, great for a one night stay, would recommend.

BAP! Long live the tree bar! Great times. Come every year for an event and have a blast. But… If only they actually wanted to sell you at the bar. They have 2 people every time I have been there and they are SLOW and act like they donot want the business… We all end up bringing in our own beer it's so slow and then they lose the sale. And I don't want to have to have a ice chest at the bar. But… We do. Hire a real bartender so I can leave the ice chest in the car.

Great rooms in the east tower. Pool is always a bit colder than I like, but, it is nice. Denny's restaurant is in the casino, and serves their food fast. The casino is huge, and seems to pay out well. The workers are great to talk to, and the cocktail waitresses are quick with the drinks.

We will never stay at this place again. We just stayed there for the night on our way to California. The ac in our room didn't work. The bed didn't have a fitted sheet on it. It was only a flat sheet. Our car got broken into and a bunch of our stuff got stolen. The ladies at the front desk were not very nice at all. We asked if they would give us a refund on our room since our car got broken into and the lady at the front desk refused. The only positive thing I can say about this place is that the security staff was very helpful and super nice.

Nice, historical, but without service the pool.

Always will luv this place came here as a kid and still as an adult. Great environment and always something to do never gets old. Also a great stop to rest your feet and back on your long trip to California. Stock up on those snacks and drinks.

Quite ok but pretty rocked off.

Best to enjoy on the weekends in the summer. They have a casino with live dealers, big buffalo shaped pool only open in the summer, bar, bookie, gift shop, roller coaster, water coaster log ride, arcade, race track out back, a mall across the street, and lots of other stuff. I stay there usually three times a year. McDonalds and Denny's are the only two food options during the week. They need a grocery store because what you can get at the truck stop is expensive because it's a convenient store in the middle of the desert.

It is a can’t miss! Get out of your own way and enjoy this gem for what it is. Beds comfy and the rooms are well made up. Overall the place is dated, that is part of it’s charm. The staff are so hardworking, keeping this once glistening ship afloat. The gambling floor is something straight out of a Tarantino film. For an authentic US hive I recommend. Some things like an ice machine here or a long check in aren’t 5 star, the experience itself by far overcomes any initial hesitation to stay a second night.

Would have rated it 3 stars except the hotel could use some attention to make it cleaner looking. Carpets are well past replacement age, rooms would benefit from thorough cleaning, the pool was filthy. Services were limited on site, but you could go across the interstate to get them. The people there were very friendly, both other guests and employees. Since it was not busy, (Sunday), it was nice and quiet. OK for a quick, one night stay while traveling through the area.

Since 1994 nothing has been renovated here except the Bed. That was very convenient. The rest has come in the years, dirty and mostly no longer in Operation. And yet the price has increased by a "Resortfee". There is no bargain like 10 km further.

It's a nice place to relax.

The hotel is big, was on a Friday. Quiet cozy, but of course there is no such power as in Vegas. We had a room with a dog (there are rooms in the first floor) many see the rooms with animals-but here to be honest I did not like the rooms, a little dirty! (approximately as in roadside motels) ) ) But I did not see the usual rooms (write about the room with animals) The rides did not work (but if you want quiet on the family, you here!

I was fascinated by qui I had a lot of fun I put a binge or my espso him to charge me to the hotel to rest comfortable me the pass.

We booked and paid for a room here a week before our arrival. We called prior as well to tell them we would likely be there in the late night early morning. Upon our arrival at 11:30pm, there were no less than 100 people in front of us waiting for their rooms. There were an additional 50 people lying on the ground with blankets and pillows, stating that they had been waiting for 7 hours already to get a room. We were told by staff that they have 400 rooms and only 5 people to clean them, and that this was a regular occurrence. We ended up going to another hotel, and were just going to come back the next day, however they had cancelled our reservation without even talking to us. Fortunately we went through Expedia, and we're refunded. The staff, was nice, but management needs to hire more cleaning staff, and stop selling rooms that they know won't be available.

Nice hotel. I had a good time. Friendly front desk and hotel staff. I really enjoyed my visit. Wish the attractions would've been open but I was there mid-week. Overall good experience.

1:20 am, only one guy at check-in and the line is not moving because they said the rooms are not clean. 11 am checkout and they cannot have the rooms clean after over 14 hours?! At least 50 people in line waiting. I will never stay here again. So unprofessional and inexcusable. UPDATE: We did not get to the front of the line until 3 am, and we had been there since 12:00 am. My mother passed away and I was out there to take care of things because I don't live in Nevada. The last thing I wanted to do was wait 3 hours! I am very confused why the owner in the response is asking for more details on what could have been done better. It isn't obvious? Your staff isn't telling you when something goes this wrong? I guess if you could have come and helped clean the rooms, that would have been nice.

Beware. Made a reservation a week ahead of time to stay here when moving from Denver to LA. Arrived around 11pm and Friday night and there was a massive line to check in. They said that the cleaning people were getting rooms ready and it would be over an hour. My picture shows the line to check in at midnight on a Friday night. When I got up finally to the desk, the lady at the desk told me that a room would be ready maybe in an hour for me. I asked if there was anything she could do since I paid to reserve my room a week ago and she literally just walked away and went in the backroom for 20 minutes and didn't say anything to me. This place is a joke. Obviously they are running on a shoe string budget with zero planning. Zero professionalism amd zero customer service. DO NOT book a room here thinking it will be ready for you.

Room was large without fridge and coffee maker. Casino boring partly restaurants closed as well train to other casinos.

This is my favorite mini vacation spot. Take my family there all the time and we always have a good time. They have a little bit of everything for the family to do including the nearby mall and plenty of places to eat. They have a great concerts and the rooms are reasonable.

We stayed at Buffalo Bills on Feb. 9-10, 2018 as we were attending the Battle at Primm Desert Races. We had a smoking room but never noticed any stale smoke from previous guests. Room and beds was comfortable and worked out great for us. TV little outdated but overall we enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We will definitely stay with Buffalo Bills again. Thank you.

It is mandatory for me to stop at this beautiful hotel, the Buffalo Bill's is at the start of Nevada is a good place to rest, play and if you are to love the adrenaline to get on your great roller-coaster is one of the best roller-coaster I climbed.

My family and I rented five separate rooms. Out of the five rooms, only two were clean. My room had filthy bathroom and chocolate on the bed. My daughter's room had yogurt on the bed. My other daughter, who brought our two young grandchildren with her (ages 18months and 3 years) found dirty underwear in the room and the babies found two marijuana roaches. When I told the for the desk manager about the underwear and marijuana, she was rude (I told her out of the 5 rooms we had, we wanted this one comped). She only wanted to comp the resort fee. I had to argue with her and she still would only comp one night. As to the resort fee, I don't know why we were charged this since the pool was closed, the spa was closed and all the rides we're closed. This place is disgusting and falling apart.

Almost everything is closed. Only Denny's restaurant has the grill and offers only green salad. The whole thing is rocked down! Stay away!

Good amenities. Good price. Could use updating but price reflects that. Good staff on board. See you soon.

Buffalo Bills basically closes down after Saturday. Primary restaurants closed. Dennys is their gourmet cuisine. And they are out of their seasonal promotional items. Food court. Only Panda Crappy Express. So note to self. Stay far away from this place unless it's Friday or Saturday!

I am not a large fan of this place. It comes down to the fact that it feels dark and run down. I do not feel safe. I also do not like the automated paigow table, it feels rigged. I would like for then to invest in upgrades and higher quality. Even the people seem run down. Very few smiles. It makes me feel sad when I go there.

Because of my play and rewards card I was offered three nights free on New Year's weekend. They had a wonderful dinner at Primm Valley but I stayed at Buffalo Bills. I was able to make the reservation the Tuesday before and it was a New Year's weekend. Totally awesome service was great room service brought towels and amenities very swiftly. Played all the table games including craps. None of the machines paid out very well but occasionally I would win a little bit playing the table games. I did hit at least one little mini jackpot on the slot machines. All around a wonderful New Year's weekend.

A childhood memory of mine, even the smell of the wood in the casino brings back memories. A nice place for some quiet gambling. A little sad to see many of the restaurants and stores closed up though.

Hotel was good. Room was clean. Only small problem we has was turning on the heater made the room smell funny. Might of just been our room but we were too tired to let them know about it. They have lots of food places to choose from inside the hotel and in other nearby hotels. Overall a pleasant stay at a good hotel.

The rooms are very comfortable, the hotel casino is fun the stout very friendly, we arrived at the place before arriving at the vegas as it is much cheaper, I would come back from having the opportunity.

Rather then waste your time playing the slots and getting robbed of your gambling money, try driving up to the front entrance, out the window hand them your money then drive away. It's less frustrating and less time consuming yet the end results are the same. I noticed when playing the slot machine I would bet a dollar and hit a paying combination line, the pay out was forty cents. Even when I won, I lost. Most slots will not pay out more then the bet amount. Bet fifty cents, win back twenty five. Also, most penny slots require a minimum bet of forty cents but if you want a chance to hit the jackpot you have to play the max amount of three to five dollars each spin. So, basically your playing dollar slots disguised as penny slots. Oh, and the famous Hot Dogs are no longer a dollar, they will cost you three dollars and fifty cents even if your sitting at the bar playing video poker. They don't even have the cup of shrimp cocktails any more. I was not impressed with that place.

Very affordable they do military discounts as well. Oh there's also a rollercoaster along the entire hotel. Not sure it works. Costumer service is great. We stayed there twice. Little minor things can be fixed. Other than that we like it.

It was AWESOME! We went here for a break from driving from Hampton Resorts at California. Panda Express service was awesome, The Arcade was full of Awesome games, and the Desperado was probably the best roller coaster in Nevada! Only problem was that some of the Arcade games were not working. Definitely coming back!

I had a lot of fun here. Ended up staying a few hours longer then expected because of that. Has a cool dark atmosphere as though your gambling in a cave. Has a good selection of food and gaming choices. Friendly staff rooting for the players.

This Hotel & Casino is awesome. I like it a lot, because rooms are clean and functional; they look very good. The service is very good. They have a variety of restaurants and the food is good. You have a lot of fun playing in the slot machines and playing tables. Pools are great! I recommend this hotel casino.

Customer service was good. They messed up and told me, and wrote down, the wrong room number. So, I had to go all the way back to the desk, which was a pain. But, it was an honest mistake and customer service was apologetic and fixed the problem quickly and without much hassle. Other than that people were nice. Facility was clean. I loved the shower pressure! Nice stay for a good price. I would totally stay here again.

I really like this place. Its nice staying in the desert, away from the city. Affordable & fun atmosphere! Beautiful pool & desert storms at night. I enjoy being by the Mojave desert & the California border. Really cool drive out there in the evening. ☁ *I'm curious when this joint was built? Also, what happened to the Casino in the area that looked like a river gambling boat? I remember driving to California and seeing the highway sign that Willie Nelson was playing there.
