In our 24-day vacation with stays in some 12 places, the Hampton Inn Tropicana stands out as the best by far. Almost one factor contributed to this pleasant experience: the people at the front desk; specifically: Michelle and Lauren. These two ladies were the face of the hotel. They were first-rate professionals: extremely helpful, very knowledgeable, problem solvers, accommodating, very pleasant to deal with. I can go on for a while but you get the picture, they simply left nothing to be desired. After a very nasty experience with Hertz (car rental) on Badura Ave. (Las Vegas), the hospitality we received in this place was greatly appreciated. Here are other factors that helped make the stay comfortable: The room didn’t have a refrigerator but when we asked for one it was delivered in less than 30min, with no hand extended for a tip. The included breakfast was a class act, really vintage Hilton class, plentiful, good quality, large variety attended to by very polite and conscientious staff in a very pleasant setting. The front desk stored our luggage until check-in time and from checkout time until the hotel’s courtesy shuttle took us to the airport. During our stay, the courtesy shuttle took us to other casinos. The “Business Center” was quiet and well equipped with printers, paper, etc. The hotel is 0.6 mile west of the strip, a short taxi or public bus (#201) ride to the strip in hot mid-day sun.
