Clean hotel but an issue. Said huge parking lot for trailers and whatnot so when we get there, yeah there's a huge lot with lots of dump trucks that park there every night. There was 2 actual parking spots not occupied. We ended up having to park in the grass.

Terrible service at front desk. They couldnt find our reservation even though we had a conformation/ receipts. The AC in room didnt work and made loud noises so we had to shut it off, very hot room.

We've been staying at this establishment for years. It's suddenly gone down hill, and fast. Our room has tons of rust in it. The AC could wake the dead, and I'm not sure how the shower rod is still attached. Very disappointing.

No complaints on the room, up to date and clean. Pool area however was a different story. Walked into a very musky smell with everything in the room being damp. Hot tub was also far from clean. Be sure to get to breakfast early, as the options are limited, and quantity seems to be as well.

People just don't understand what you require to bathe when you're handicapped. Without the proper Grab bars you just don't do well. The rate is more than enough to install the proper Grab bars.

Room nice and clean. Front desk personnel nice. The parking lot needs more lighting.

The staff was friendly. Beds were good. The breakfast was pretty simple. Good overall for a stay.

This is one of better Super 8's I have stayed in for awhile. I originally wanted a room for one night, at the last minute I called to see if I could get the room for a extra night and there was no issues. Nancy was very understanding about a late check in. When we arrived the lady at the front desk was also very nice and made check in fast. The rooms are very big and very clean. I would most defiantly stay here again.

This super 8 was not what I was expecting when I pulled up to it. I'm not sure if it had been newly renovated or not but the overall look of this place was much more than what I was expecting. It looked warm and inviting like a hotel should, although most fall short of meeting this quality. I was greeted by a very kind and friendly woman who checked me in quickly. She also was able to give very good advise when I asked her about things in the area. The rooms had been extremely clean. Tv worked well. Shower was very good. Not to mention all of this for an extremely affordable rate too.

Nice enough room. Kids enjoyed pool with water in it and breakfast with waffles in it. Would stay again.

Very clean! Nice front desk staff. It was the best price in Mound City. I deff would recommend Super 8.

Very great place. Not overwhelmed by a last minute check in with pet (cat). Was very impressed with cashier. Very helpful. One of few hotel/motel that allows cats.

The service was friendly, the room was clean. The Wi-Fi was decent. What more can you ask of a budget accommodation?

Not a bad place at all. The only thing I didn't like is the bathroom fan wasn't working, only the heat lamp. Otherwise a great place.

I haven't stayed at a super 8 in 20 years and I had very low expectations for this place. Surprisingly it was better than I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it's no 4 or 5 star hotel, but for a quick overnight stay while on the road this is a great option. It's an appropriately clean place to rest your head and shower, and the free complimentary breakfast in the morning helps you get on the road with a fresh start. I'd recommend holding off on better coffee though. It was pretty terrible. But the waffles are decent!

My company booked 4 rooms for 3 nights for business reasons. 2 weeks later Super 8 calls and say they over booked on one of the nights and they would not honor our reservation. I spoke with the manager who got lippy with me and rude so I returned fire. She blamed the fact that she was new to the hotel and the girl who booked the rooms did it wrong b y overriding the system. She admitted that her employee made the mistake. I ask for compensation for the hassle, she said NO she has the right to refuse service to anyone. Here is the real reason, these room are during the total solar eclipse and she can $400 to $500 or more a night for each room of our rooms so she kicked us to the curb. This is why we booked our rooms 50 miles away from St Joe and early to make sure we had rooms we could afford. Now I have nothing! WORST SERVICE EVER… I AM CALLING MY LAWYER! Don't believe your booking is good until you are in your room, and then they might throw you out if the get someone to pay more.

Stayed here a few weeks ago, at three in the morning. Nice hotel, but some of the rooms didn't have adequate air conditioning, and the room I stayed in smelled weird. The beds and bathrooms are nice, though.

No signs giving directions to hotel. Once found though it was a very quaint location. Just of the main strip through town, easy access to food, drinks and just about anything else needed. Biggest complaint would be the refrigerator in the room. It was very noisy and the freezer did not keep things cold enough to stay frozen. Staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the area.

Was only at the hotel for a few hours but service was great.

Decent room at decent price.

Had car trouble along I29 and stopped for the night at Super 8. Helen, the manager, went above and beyond trying to help us. The whole staff was very nice. We had to stay an extra night and Helen again made suggestions and phone calls to places we might get help. Extremely helpful staff, great room, pets allowed and can't say enough about Helen and how she was a godsend.

An excellent place to stay! We reserved the presidential suite as we were traveling with 6 people and needed a smoking room. The room consisted of a king size bed (wonderfully comfortable for 2 adults and a young child), a twin size bed, and 2 sofa couches (which my kids said were not the most comfortable beds but were nice) plus a Jacuzzi tub! We arrived late and the lady at the desk said that we must be (she called us by na me although we had never met her but did talk to her to inform her of our late arrival time). It was a wonderful feeling to know that they cared enough to call us by name. The pool was also wonderful although we had to take advantage of it the next morning. The continental breakfast was a typical Super 8 breakfast though. Lovely accommodations. I would stay there again.

Great friendly staff. Helen, the manager, was great. The desk staff was some of the best that I have dealt with. Friendly and helpful in any way that you could ask. Would like to see a computer area and maybe a workout area but not necessary. The housekeeping staff was awesome. Rooms were really clean and smelled great. The housekeeping manager went out of her way to help me with cleaning and I appreciated it. Only problem was my stay was only 3 days. Would rate higher if I could go more than 5 stars.

Hot tub 'out of order' for the third year in a row and ice cold pool. No satisfaction from staff or manager who each passed the buck to the person above them. Don't waste your time and money here.

Above average for a Super 8 for an above average Super 8 price. Clean rooms, good breakfast, attentive staff.

Had car trouble and limped to this place. I was not expecting much, but I was very impressed with the size of the room. It fit 6 of us comfortably with lots of room left. They were all super nice as well.

I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. On my way to see my family for the holidays, the engine in my car exploded. I stayed the night, but was not able to leave by the checkout time the next day as I was waiting for my dad to pick me up. The hotel, which could have charged me extra, allowed me to stay that next day as I waited. Every member of the staff was extremely friendly and professional. The room was clean and had all the amenities I would have wanted. Additionally, the pool was great. Again, this was a fantastic experience. The efforts of the staff here helped make an unfortunate situation seem much better.

Bed bugs! do not stay here! the place is invested with bed bugs! changed rooms twice all three rooms were crawling with them.

Thise is the last place you would like to stay in. Rooms are old. Price is high. Over 80.00 in mid week for a stink room! Front desk people have no idea what costumer service is. They missed my wake up call. Was late for my client delivery. Will never book a super8 ever again and so should you. Helen the manager should work with horses not people.

We were very surprised on how nice the room and hotel was. Beds were comfortable, room clean, and didn't have any problems. Super 8 has really stepped up over the years. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Plus, had no problems with working on the laptop.
