The hotel itself was nice but prepaid through Expedia and was Still charged! TWICE! $115 & $142. A month later 8 have 1 charge refunded but not the other. I have called numerous times and emailed my receipt from Expedia. I have yet to receive a call back or refund for the second charge!

Positive experience. Attended a private event, food was very good, with a nice variety and seasoned, cooked nicely. Table service was excellent. Room was clean and above standards. Staff was approachable, friendly and professional.

Rooms were fine. However if you are expecting anything to eat for breakfast make sure to eat out. At checkout the receptions informed me that I hadn't purchased a "meal plan" however on my receipt it stated "breakfast included" and was bragging about the reasonable price of $11.00 for breakfast. However, looking at my 4 yr old and 9 yr old (picky eater) 11.00 is not at all reasonable. I also knew better than to mention the meal plan I purchased after hearing how rude the receptionist was to the family checking out at the same time as us. Both families left with hungry kids. I hope this review helps parents looking for convienence and practicality.

This was one nice, classy clean hotel! The employees were very nice, friendly, and helpful! They have a 24 hour fitness center! A indoor pool, bar and buffet! I truly would recommend this place to any and everybody.

I had a great stay over the past weekend. My Girlfriend and I came in town for the weekend. The hotel could use some updated furniture but I was able to manage. The Front desk guy Marlin is awesome on our last night we came in late and there he was greeting us as we came in. The other staff did not really seem friendly as much as he was. But other than that it was great stay.

My overall stay was okay! For starters When u walk into the hotel it has a really funny smell throughout the hotel smell as if it was a gas leak… elevator nasty! Got to my room bathroom had hair on the floor bedding flat sheet wasn’t folded it was made like someone slept in it! Otherwise sheets where clean! Room was very comfortable overall! Staff was very friendly from front desk to the breakfast area! I had to ask for my bottled water which was supposed to be in my room as I arrived due to the fact that I’m a honors member indoor pool area was closed the entire stay which we were expecting to enjoy! Location wasn’t in the best area but had no issues! Could use some undated furniture! Housekeeping was very welcoming! & friendly.

From my check in the front desk staff was professional and friendly. The room was nice and clean housekeeping staff was helpful and polite. Had cocktails at the bar and breakfast. All made my stay as comfortable as possible I will return to this location the next time I'm in the area.

I've stayed in Super 8 hotels that was better, and cleaner. There was hair in the sink and tub. Spider webs everywhere. Beds hard as a rock. I tried to go swimming in their so called indoor pool but it felt like an oven set on 500. It was so hot I couldn't breathe, and I was only in there 30 seconds. But I can say customer service was great.

Very dissatisfied. After a long day of driving, we were looking forward to relaxing in the spa/whirlpool. We confirmed when we checked in the closing time — 12:00 am. We ate a late dinner and went down to the pool area at 10:30 pm. After about three minutes, we were told we had to leave as the pool area closed at 10:00 pm. We pointed out that the signage stated midnight and that we were told upon check in it closed at midnight. We were told it was a new policy instated by management and "if it was up to him" we would be allowed to stay. The policy of "Satisfaction Guaranteed" is b. S. "We promise to do whatever it takes to ensure you're satisfied, or you don't pay. You can count on us GUARANTEED. " Guess we'll see about that tomorrow when we check out. **I have photos of both the time on the pool area and the guarantee to back up my statement. Will not be staying at another Hilton property unless this is rectified.

The hotel is clean and the staff is helpful. The reason for a three rating is because it is not very handicapped accessible. My husband broke his ankle and is in a wheel chair. There are very few ramps and then you have to wheel the chair around curving sidewalks with bushes growing out into the sidewalks. There are no ramps near the side and back doors where I was suggested to park.

Normally when I stay at the Hilton it is pleasant, but not this time. First off I purchased a 2 queen bed room and because they were overbooked they gave me a King suite. Ok Fine I took that, but then when I got in the room the toilet would not flush and the bathroom door had hair stuck to it. The one pleasant thing about the room was the bed. The bed was phenomenal.

This place was clean and the workers were friendly. My favorite part was the breakfast. It was more than enough food and it kept me full for the entire day. I plan to stay here again on my next visit. They also have an indoor pool that I plan to use when I return. They have more than enough soap, towels, and shampoo provided. I would recommend this location to anyone. The only down side was that there were scratches on the furniture and it bothered me visually. Other than this, I really liked this Inn.

Staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hotel amenities (indoor pool, business center, fitness center, laundry room) are a plus. Refrigerator microwave and coffee maker in room are convenient. Proximity to airport great for travelers.

Disappointed. Was expecting a clean hotel that was a little upscale but arrived to a run down tired hotel. The front desk was short staffed so check in was slow. The halls smelled musty and felt clammy. The carpets were old and worn. The walls were dirty and marked up. Wall patches were poorly accomplished and visible. The paint on my room door was literally peeling off. The pool was closed for maintenance with no prior notice at check in. The walls in the room were dirty and marked up. The refrigerator was so loud I had to turn it off. The Wi-Fi kept disconnecting. The picture on the TV was snowy. The road noise in the room was loud. The lamp on the desk bent and wobbly. If this were a lower class hotel I would have expected some of this but not from Hilton. In fact the lower class hotel I stayed at the previous night had none of these issues and provided a complementary breakfast as well. I probably will not stay in another Hilton Garden Inn.

Hotel was nice didn't expect to have to pay for breakfast. I thought it would be complimentary. They did offer complimentary water at check in which I don't understand why it wasn't in the room already like most hotels. My room wad located at the very end of the hall and there was a bad odor. I will definitely be staying here again as long as the room isn't on the 2nd floor or at the end of the hall. I requested firm pillows but didn't receive them. The ladies at the front desk were very nice. Thanks ladies keep up the good work!

Worst Hilton I've ever been in. The lobby is decent, the outside is decent but that is it. The first room was dirty, the toilet lid didn't even fit the bowl (round on an oval bowl) the TV remote didn't work, the walls were cracked, needed painting, needesn new carpet and the bedding was filthy, we had them remake it in front of us. The next day after complaining we were moved to a new room, assured it was a mistake and the next room would be nice. It was not. There were ants all over the room which they tried to spray with our young children in the room, obviously I did not allow that. The drapes had large holes torn in them, the room was again not clean, but not filthy, the phone was disassembled completely, no doubt the last resident's prank but goes to show you how well the cleaning staff does their job. We were next to a high school wrestling team who wrestled and blared loud music all night. Only after a few calls made to the front desk (via cell since our phone was in pieces) was this issue remedied. Oh, and the towel racks for the fresh towels in all the rooms are INSIDE the shower so they got splashed every shower. I've never even heard of that before! We thought maybe we were just unlucky twice, but in speaking to the other guests, at breakfast the next morning they were ALL complaining of similar issues. We checked out that day cutting our stay short due to the lousy conditions. The Motel 6 next door would have been better and MUCH cheaper.

Tv doesn't work. Refrigerator is VERY loud and shrill. Beds are not comfortable. Pool was borderline green and the room was filled with chemicals that made my eyes burn, spa was clean, ceiling needed repair and the restroom was dirty. The breakfast, thankfully, was wonderful. Not AT ALL what I expect from a Hilton, disappointed for sure and was not cheaper for its condition. Would compare to a days inn or a motel 6.

We had a great experience here during our trip to Shreveport. The staff was very helpful and friendly! Room service was quick and the breakfast was delicious. The indoor pool area was nice but it did smell like a lot of chlorine, but at least that means it's clean! Overall I would recommend and if I'm in the area again I will be coming back here.

I stayed here the night I went to M. E. P. S. The beds were comfortable, the food was amazing and the staff was incredibly kind. I can honestly say that I would stay here again, and I live in Shreveport. Thank you Hilton Gardens Inn for the amazing service! I will recommend y'all to all of my family that lives out of town when they come to visit.

The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly. I really loved the keurig coffee maker and plenty of cups to go with it for coffee or tea. The beds were super comfy with a pleasantly clean smell. The hotel was easy to find, close to the major highways.

Nice rooms for first time visit. Beds could be a little more comfortable and you can hear conversations in the next room.?

So, I booked my room thinking it would be better than Motel 6. Don't waste your time here. All of the rooms look like old and out of style, beds are small and in top of everything, they charge you EXTRA fees and don't tell you until you check your account. BAD business. I'll go back to the courtyard or sleep inn. Definately will not be staying here. Front desk staff should at least tell you what you are paying if it's different from what you booked. Who does this?

I Stayed here about two weeks ago with my fiancé. Front desk was awesome. Marlin was at the Front desk and was very Professional and helpful young man. He was the only front desk worker there and it was very busy! I think a wedding reception was going on. He did a great job and did not make us wait long to check-in. I visited the hotel before and the staff was not as friendly but Marlin set a new tone. I most definitely will book here on our next visit.

One person at check in and it was a 15 minute process to get up to the counter to check in The shower handle was broken, the ottoman was torn, the sheets looked dirty and had hair on them. To top it off, it had not been vacuumed and there was broken glass on the floor, about 8 pieces that I found, that cut my feet on 2 different places. I won't stay here again.

I love the location and the staff! The issue I have is each time I stay in the same room of 178 or 179 and I notify the staff of my findings. As of my last stay these issues have yet to be addressed. I've never heard from management either so hopefully this get their attention and I can later update the stars to five. I have pictures still but I will give management an opportunity to reply first.

I must State the rooms looks nothing like the picture! I always stay here when I'm in town. The staff is always professional but I have never ate at the hotel. I know the area well so I eat out.
I did have a drink there before and it was not worth the $8.00.
Now the rooms are dated, especially the restroom but they are clean upon arrival and they give you plenty of towels.
I don't think management responds to items bought to their attention well.

Bring lots of bottled water, the tap water is horrible. I could barely stand the smell to brush my teeth. 32" TV screens need updating. Comfortable pillows and bed. Quiet place close to done restaurants.

The alarm kept going off early in the am! It went off about 10 times. From 8am until 10:30. The housekeepers where loud! Cause our room where to end of the hallway. I will not come back! Plus there is no compensation for the interruption.

Came in to the Hilton with a warm welcome at the front desk. The room is exactly how the pictures on the website displayed. The service was wonderful, and the cleaning crew took care of my friend and I. Love the fact that they had ice water and coffee available 24/7. Would definitely come back and stay at this place, I highly recommend it.

Walked in on Saturday night with no reservation and got a nice room with no problem, had great burger and a couple drinks at the bar. Helpful staff and all at a very reasonable cost. Available but not used: indoor pool until midnight, exercise facility, social area. Couldn't ask gor more.

Friendly staff. Well situated. Plenty of restaurants and retail nearby; with the casinos just minutes away. And the bed… Very comfortable. Would definitely be back.

Rooms are too small and not very updated. No free coffee except for in the room and you have get enough sugar beforehand to drink it. Breakfast is not complimentary and overpriced. Hotel was just over priced for a one night stay. However, staff was awesome and very pleasant. They try their best to help in any way. Made all the difference.

The hotel was booked for the weekend and they had to turn many away. They were also renovating some rooms. We were first assigned to a room being renovated and we had to go back to the desk to have it changed. However, the staff was very friendly and had a great attitude about it all which goes a long way. The breakfast was delicious!

To start with I was offended twice, and I'm a nice person. The first was there was a small buffet out with no sign it was for military and no military guys in uniform. But 3 young men were eating. I got tea and grabbed a plate. A lady from the area got real hateful with me and said it was for them. We had had a buffet in Florida hotel and thought it was similar was why I even did this. I was totally embarrassed and felt she handled telling me wrong. I am proud the do help our men in the service, but put up a sign! Away from comp tea and coffee. Next next am I slipped in shower. Hit my head on the soap holder. There is no hand rails for support or help? The shower was also moldy and hair all over shower curtain. I didn't make any big deal but I did mention to check out girl at the desk. Not even a sorry or comment to my pain. It's been 12 hours and still very tender to ear and behind. And tinnitus in ear. I'm seeing a Dr. In am. I am a retired nurse so I do know what to look for but still. For a broke down couch I sat on once, and bed not so comfy,, and cost of over $100 it was total disappointment. Rant over.

The rooms were amazing the TV a little bit out dated but great the beds comfy everything clean.

The room was ok. It was definitely on the older side. However, online it says "free breakfast" when we went up in the morning it wasn't free breakfast. All that was out was waffles, bread, fruit, and yogurt. Everything else was to be made after asking and you had to pay. $10.95 if you wanted eggs, bacon, the usual. I just got a waffle and yogurt and she charged me $3.95. Now that's not a lot but still. Not only that but we showed the waitress about how it says free breakfast online and she replied, "that's not true there is a package for 10 more dollars called the bed and breakfast package. Sorry, but if you tell me FREE breakfast I already have it in my head that it's free.

This was to be for my birthday celebration. This was the worst Hilton Garden Inn we have ever stayed at. Changed rooms 3 times. The first time, the room had never been dusted and I thought I was going to have a full on asthma attack. The next two rooms were supposedly non-smoking suites, but smelled like some one has just smoked a full pack in each room. The only reason we stayed was because it was non-refundable. The only ray of sunshine was La Qinta. She tried to work with my fiancee and I each step of the way. I will never stay there and unfortunately am re-thinking my whole love of Hilton.

OMG I have stayed at Hilton's all over the usa this was without a doubt the worst I have everseen. It smelled bad all over hotel like mold and mildew. The fitness excerise room smelled like vomit could not even go in. The pool had people drinking beer in glass bottles. Told the desk they didn't care water all over. The floor.

Honestly, not what I would expect out of Hilton. I stay with them frequently for work, and decided to book this for our honeymoon. Room was clean, and the pool area was nice; but that's about it. AC did not work, it stayed on all night and was still hot in there. The room across the hall had set out a bowl of gravy for room service to pick up. It hung out for 2 days. We had to request towels twice when the cleaning crew didn't leave us any. For some reason, the vacuum cleaner was just parked out in the elevator; riding up and down with the guests all night. Not sure what that was about. Service at the bar sucked. The waitress was pretty busy chatting it up with the other single patrons. She didn't seem to have time for my husband and I. Took forever to get our $18 bill for 2 drinks. I highly doubt we will ever use this Hilton again, although the area was OK and seemed safe. There's several other hotels to choose from right next door.

After an entire day of moving we wanted to settle down and came here. Oh boy! What a mistake! The room was clean enough. The shower looks like it. Could use some bleach. Then I got in bed. It was hard as a rock and lumpy. The kids complained the entire night and it wreaked havoc on our backs. We had to continue the move the next day and thanks to Hilton we had to spend monew to but aleve. That's for nothing Hilton.

We arrived at Hilton Garden inn on Friday February 12th-135th. Staff was extra nice. The room was perfect. The breakfast that was cooked to order was on point. It was my first time there and I do plan to return.

Our room was dirty, in bad shape, the shower head had a paper to adjust the almost falling shower head. Found cigar ash, even found some unknown pills on the floor. We were thinking of requesting another room but we check in around 11:30pm and after a long day of driving I didn't have the energy to move to another room and probably was going to be the same. I just want to share my experience so you know what to expect if you stay here, I wish I knew before a paid the $134.00 for such a bad room.

I stayed at this hotel for one night and enjoyed the room and the envirement. The service however needs improvement. The kitchen staff, including the "waiters", are indifferent and robotic. I have stayed at much cheaper hotels than this and received much warmer service. This is not a case of "you get what you pay for".

Lobby/Front desk clerk was fantastic. Overall safety feeling 5 out of 5 The room. Having stayed at many locations in Shreveport/Bossier, I'd have to put this room (Suite) in the bottom half of my top 10. No serious problem but you can see that it needs updating, from the ceiling fan to the shower head (also my shower handle was coming undone). The room was also a little tight it being a suite. Overall, it's not a bad place to stay but for the same price as surrounding hotels it wouldn't make the cut. My top 10 hotels in Shreveport/Bossier (not including casinos) : Ranking of 7

TERRIBLE Wi-Fi! Connected to "complimentary Wi-Fi" and ran a speed test, got about 2 Mbps. Can't even stream a YouTube video.

The staff at the receptionest was extremely rude! I arrived at 2:20pm and was not greeted with kindness, but shut down immediately when I said that I needed to check in. She interrupted me twice stating you can not check in till 3, I understand that's fine, but no need to be as disrespectful and tacky as she was! Will be speaking directly to managment!

Staff friendly Very, beds well sucked hard way to firm and low quality. This week I have stayed at 3 Hilton gardens on a family road trip but this one was nice but the beds horrible.

My wife and I stay at the Shreveport Financial Plaza hotel whenever we're in Shreveport. About 2-3 times a year. To me, most rated hotels are about the same: clean room; polite staff; reasonably priced. What differentiates this particular hotel from others in its class that I've stayed at are it's people. This hotel's staff seem to like their jobs. During our recent stay, the hotel was accommodating several little league base ball teams, so you can imagine the potential chaos during breakfast time. The cook saw that the waitress had her hands full, so the cook attended to us. I remembered her from last year when I complimented her on her grits. Her grits are still the best in the South. It's good to see all team members pulling in the same direction.

They need a better cleaning staff. When I first arrived with two very tired toddlers our key cards didn't work. After going down to get new ones and we entered the room it reeked of cigarettes despite it being a non smoking room. After having to switch rooms I went to give my two sons a bath and when I bent down to turn on the faucet to the tub and it reeked of mildew. I went down, yet again, to the front desk and she offered to switch my room again to which I replied that I was tired of switching rooms because I have two small children so they offered me a bottle of disinfectant. In the end my husband cleaned the bathtub himself.

I ask when I called if the suite had two rooms, was told yes. This is not true two rooms means a door between them. Also the bed was so lumpy and sagged in the middle could not get a good nights rest. Will not stay here again.

Hubby and I stayed at the hotel for our 17th year anniversary. Our hotel stay was wonderful! The hotel staff (KJ) was very informative upon our check in. The hotel lobby was elegant. Our room was nice and clean. The Kuerig in our room was a nice touch. The location of the hotel was within easy access to restaurants and casinos. We will definitely consider staying at the Hilton Garden Inn again.

Hubby and I were in town for his cousin wedding and decided to stay here. Pros: Great price, Very friendly staff, clean hotel, great breakfast, and clean pool area. Everything worked and was available to us. LOVED the K-Cup coffee machine in our room (A++ FOR THAT). As first time guests and first time ever staying in Shreveport, the staff informed us on the best eatery’s and shopping areas. Hotel was easy to find and located right off the interstate which was a major convenience to us. Cons: Wasn't many cons, except the walls are very thin in the rooms. We stayed for 2 nights (weekend) and the first night, I heard doors slam all night. One door slammed so hard, that it woke me out of my sleep and I am a deep sleeper. That made me VERY cranky but their breakfast made up for the Nosie level. Second night was a breeze. No door slamming and slept well.
