While driving from Florida heading to Phoenix, my motorhome broke down and I chose to stay here because if it being pet friendly. The room was clean, big and the bed was so comfy. The staff was a huge help. I asked where the closest store was for me to get some Advil and, the manager knowing I had no transportation went out of her way to get me some. The breakfast was nice too. I highly recommend this Comfort Suites.

I don't know why people give 1 or 2 star to this property but definitely way better then across the street best western. Hotel under construction but it won't bother at all. Best breakfast and nice marketplace. Room size is way bigger then Hampton inn. I travel every week and I work at lsu. And I always stay here. Even they were booked up still helped me to get room and everyone in staff know me by name. Would def recommended this best place in town.

Big rooms and fairly clean only complaint is the day I arrived I was put on a floor that was being repainted and sheetrock repair. The entire floor was covered with plastic and didn't realize that it was covered in sheetrock dust. Needless to say by the time I Made it to my room me and all my luggage was covered in dust. I had to borrow a vacuum from office and vacuum my room and belongs.

Thank God we hadnt fallen asleep… We alerted management immediately. She came and inspected the room and saw the bed bug. She apologized and moved us to a new room. We pull the covers back to check the beds of course, and this room had them as well… I can say that the manager was very apologetic, and did what she could to make things right. I suggest that if you do stay here… Check your bed and linens…

Best price we could find in the area by a small chunk. Being so cheap, I was nervous what the rooms would be like. Got to our room and was blown away. Yes it is slightly out dated, but the room was HUGE, very clean, and best of all the beds were comfortable! Came down this morning to a wonderful breakfast spread with eggs, yogurt, cereal, muffins, waffles, sausage, taters, and more! Staff was super friendly throughout our stay! I would gladly stay here again when in the area!

Under conctruction, which is no problem I understand that. But the staff was extremely rude during check in and check out. And the room smelled very musty. I have definitely stayed in worse but I don't think I will stay here again.

Nice place, comfortable beds and a great staff! Krina is super nice and very helpful. If the staff can locate my brand new work boots I accidentally left from last visit I will give them 5 stars.

Slight mixup on reservation but front desk clerk handled me very well considering my attitude was far from friendly when I found out. The problem was not her fault and her demeanor kept everything from becoming much worse. I wish I had gotten her name so I could give a personal pat on the back in this review. Great room. Clean lobby. Clean breakfast area. Typical “hot breakfast” items.

This location is older and not at all luxurious. The bed, bedding and towels are the same quality as other properties, but the facility is significantly lacking. There is a pervasive musty smell throughout the common areas.

LOVE this Comfort Suites. Functional, efficient and conveniently located. Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable and heater/air conditioner worked well. Would definitely stay there again. Front desk manager very helpful and friendly staff.

Older property, cosmetically updated. Bed clean and comfortable, good hot water and shower, but the toilet in our room was not working right and should have been replaced. Breakfast average.

Lots of renovations in hotel, which is great but strong paint smell in room and door was still wet when we got to room.

Port Allen is not the best place for an overnight stay. Many contractor vehicles, etc. Etc. Good breakfast, but had forgot
To change battery in entrance so we were in the wrong time zone until correction many hours later.

Nice sized rooms great price and the owner was very nice and accommodating. We also had a few good conversations. Good location.

The staff was extremely friendly and willing to help with extra towels, shampoo, etc. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the elevator was slow to the point that I thought I had gotten stuck on it… and I also could hear it ding all through the night from my room a few doors down from it. Other than the elevator my stay was excellent for the price and I would definitely stay there again!

Room smelled like mildew and other built up bacteria when the room is humid and lower than room temperature. Otherwise, the bed was clean and bathroom was nice. Just a weird smell all around.

I have been in a few hotels because of my job and I will say the comfort suites I have been in are rather nice. I have been here for a week now and I have a couple more weeks to go. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, and if you have a complaint they fix it right away. (I had a very noisy guest above me one night and they fixed it right then and there) So if you have a problem with this hotel just tell them they will be happy to fix it to make your stay more enjoyable. This one does need to be updated. (I already told them).

This was the worst hotel experience we have had. The first room we were given smelled of mildew and when you took your shoes off your feet got soaked from the wet carpet. We were given another room with a jacuzzi, the jacuzzi room had the same problem, but had a separate bedroom that was tolerable. The carpet wasn't soaked. We stayed here because we were sick of moving our stuff around at 11pm with an infant. In the morning we all had bed bug bites! I am appalled we paid to put our baby in this environment. We will not be staying at this chain of hotels again.

This hotel was great. Very affordable. Friendly staff and the room was very nice. I was 100% satisfied. Will stay here again! I'm not fond of powered scramble eggs.

First stop on a 5 day trip with 11 teenage girls. Rooms were very roomy and clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. Only downside was we reserved 3 rooms and thought we'd be close together but instead we were on different floors (1st, 2nd and 3rd). Luckily we have 3 adults so it's not that big of a deal.

Our door would not lock behind us. We stayed 2 night with unlocked door.

The hotel was staffed with very pleasant people and the room was clean, spacious, and reasonably priced. The only downside was that the shower rod was loose, so the curtain didn't prevent the water from spilling out near the sides. The continental breakfast was spectacular. Make your own fresh waffles!

I'm a road truck driver that had to take my standard 10 hour break. I assure you that you will not be disappointed. Nice place.

The owner of this hotel as well as a specific desk clerk are a couple of the meanest most ignorant people I've ever met. My company stayed here and paid with a business card. The card didn't go through but instead of telling us, they gave us rooms anyway. The next evening After a long day of work, the card still hadn't went thru. We were not allowed into our rooms and had to sit in the lobby for over an hour and a half until we got in contact with the right people to add funds to the account. We were threatened with calls to the police and even threats of violence. Most unprofessional and just plain ignorant situation I've experienced in a long time.

I would not stay here again. The manager Mel is very rude. The rooms have a bad odor and the toilet wasn't working. Plus when I was checking out I realized the price was incorrect. I told the manager Mel that the price was incorrect that it should have been 85 a day not 95 a day and she didn't care she said she couldn't do anything about it that the lady who gave me the price when I checked in was new and she didn't know the prices. I told her it shouldn't matter if the lady was new that she needed to honor the price the front desk girl gave me because that's what I was told when I checked in Mel didn't even bother to help me she didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody.

Your staff is friendly and courteous. I enjoyed my stay here. The lady that fixed the breakfast is delightful and loving it is great when you can talk to someone who is friendly and truly pleased. Thank you and all your staff members. I will return again.

We visited family staying there during Mardi Gras. The attendant at the desk didn't greet me or acknowledge us.

Hotel check in was really pleasing. We arrived early around noon. I asked her if she could put the rest of our group in one area because we will all get back at the same time from travel ball. She did exactly that and I thanked her for it.

We stay here once a year on our annual trip to Texas to visit family during Christmas. Each time we have stayed the room was clean and the front desk staff helpful. The lady who runs the breakfast takes obvious pride in her work. Although the free full and hot breakfast is not fancy, the area is clean, the food is fresh, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The odd occasion where something is running low, it is provided promptly. The little Christmas festival that is always going on next door about that time (weekend before Christmas) is a fun surprise for the kids. We have gone on horse drawn wagon rides, carnival rides and toured the Christmas light path.

A/C was extremely loud… Freight train in your room kind of loud. Tub had several chips in enamel. Room was "updated", but obviously done on a budget. Strip of carpet missing in old closet, bathroom vanity had old toilet paper and tissue holes in it (though not used anymore), mattress was uncomfortable and had a mattress topper on it. Check-in took around 15 minutes, 10 of which waiting for desk clerk to get off of an obviously personal phone call in office. However, room was clean. Staff was friendly. Amenities were in place. Overall, from a platinum member, below average for the brand.
