Great staff, laundry facilities in great be working order. Rooms very nice.

Front desk service was amazing, room was clean and affordable.

Can be a little noisy being next to the hwy but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast isnt that great and the pool is small and has little privacy. But overall a good place to lay your head if that's all you need.

Best breakfast in town,. Cozy rooms, for a reasonable price,,, loved it.

A really nice hotel, and a good place to hang your head. Place was clean. The t. V. Worked and the bedding was clean. They gave me a bag of cookies and water on the table on my way in. The staff was very friendly, and heloed out every chance they could. The only complaint and I wouldnt call it a comolaint. The toilet was a little stained. You can use some clr to get those stains out.

Soso. Not really modern. The breakfast was very good. Room smell heavily smoky disturbs even me as a smoker.

Everyone was so friendly, smiles and talked to you. Bed was very comfortable, shower was great, breakfest was nice and pet friendly hotel plus proud to be pet lovers. If we come back to the area this is where we would stay. Thank you all for a great place to rest our heads.

The owner increases the price during the week, due to the fact of the location. During the week you have these hard workers come in to work in surrounding refineries… these guys work hard to support their families… greediness is not a good thing… but of course no other options unless they want to stay in vehicle… plus the rooms are plum dirty and nasty… would I recommend. Noooooooo.

Me and my family of 4, stayed here for 11 days and while the staff has been friendly they are definitely not in appropriate attire. Most of the time when housekeeping comes I am in the room and I vacuum and do most of the cleaning myself. But on the 3 days I was out all they did was take out the trash and replace towels, I always make the beds and gather all the trash and dirty laundry for them. The room was never vacuumed, bathroom was never cleaned, and I never got replacement bar soap. Even when they did replace my sheets I helped strip the beds and then made both of them myself. As mentioned in the above review they do wear PJ’s, the one housekeeper was wearing very noticeable pink slippers when cleaning rooms. It also seems as if most of the staff lives on the property, which makes me question the hotel. The laundry room is a small unventilated closet on the side of the building. The pool is nice but doesn’t seem to be cleaned very well and always taste like salt. And even though the rules at the pool clearly state that an adult must always be with a child, the workers who live here let their children go out to the pool unattended all the time. It is not a very professional place at all, my whole stay felt like I was staying in white trash housing vs. A hotel. They do not have a business center even though it was advertised online and there “LARGE WORKING SPACE” the advertise is a joke it’s a small desk with just enough room for a computer and a notepad.

Stayed here with my husband for a little over a month or so… tattooed trashy looking and ghetto front desk whom is extremely rude with the exception of maybe one. The manager works with her PJs on… the place is completely unorganized and unprofessional with rate changes & we couldn't even get a receipt! No no no! Thumbs down!

Very nice! Clean, staff is very polite. Rooms are newly painted and well kept! Very pleased!

Decent room, comfy bed, ok breakfast. Cleaning staff knocked on the door a little too early though. Racetrack gas station next door. Not worth 100$ a night but was the only option I had short notice.

Places dirty staff is rude food sucks there's a lot of people there all the time.

Horrible! Parking is pathetic, it was clear the carpet hadnt been vacuumed, the room was horrible, I will never go back.

I can't lie they remodeled the whole place and compared to the last time I was here it's wonderful. Nice and cleaned im surely coming back. Hotel front desk was nice and friendly.

Throughout my travels in the south, I have had some really great experiences at hotels like the Magnuson hotel in Port Allen, and unfortunately I've had some bad experiences at other hotels. I would highly recommend this hotel to any travelers going into the Port Allen area. The level of service, the cleanliness of rooms, and the overall hotel reminds me of Hampton Inn. But I like the price a lot more! Don't miss this one.

I have been traveling through Louisiana on business and have stayed at 2 Magnuson hotels so far and if I ever com to this area again I will definately go out of my way to stay here again! Staff is very accomodating and rooms very clean and quiet. I am very happy.
