We had a wonderful time. The Desire Room was perfect. The hot tub and porch were cozy and Colette the cat was friendly. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend this guest house!

I had the most relaxing experience at Blue60. Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, and the most wonderful host you could ever want. Cozy garden with lots of pretty plants and foliage. The murals on the walls are amazing. Close to French Quarter, and downtown. Walking distance to everything! Great market across the street, Roberts Fresh Market. I won’t book anything else for next visit.

I loved the atmosphere, hospitality, kindness, and consideration that went way beyond the usual B&B stay anywhere else I’ve ever chose to stay. Joshua Smith is one of the most beautiful human beings I’ve ever encountered in every way… Blue60 is the only place to stay in New Orleans.

The Blue60 Guest House is the perfect getaway from reality. For the last week I have enjoyed the completely relaxing environment that was exactly what I was looking for during this vacation. Not only did the owner, Josh Smith, greet us with champagne upon arriving, but he also brought us a beautiful bouquet of flowers the first morning we were here. He has went above and beyond to make our stay here pleasurable and accommodating. I highly recommend coming to New Orleans and stayIng at the Blue60.

We have been treated wonderfully during our stay here. We are here for our 25th wedding anniversary and they treated us to a bottle of champagne and a beautiful bouquet of roses. The house is very clean, spacious and represents NOLA very well. Would definitely recommend this guest house!

Fabulous experience overall! The location is perfect (e. G. Very close to, but not IN the French Q). The accommodations are lovely and reflect the unique style of NOLA. Lastly, Will, the Manager was an exceptional host! He was welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure that our group had all that we needed and more. Looking forward to our next visit!

This was the best little place! Our host was amazing and we couldn’t be more happy with our stay! Once you open the gate off the street it’s like it’s whole little hidden world behind there. Highly recommended!

Comfortable, friendly, great location close to the French quarter.

Blue60 is amazing! We stayed in River, which I think is the smallest suite. It was spacious, light and airy and we felt welcome as soon as we were greeted by Will, the manager. The rooms (bedroom and living room) were filled with a variety of eclectic furniture and the walls were filled with Joshua’s (the owner) photographs. The bed we used was very comfortable and the room was nice and warm. Everything was immaculate. The property is just around the corner from Loretta’s, a… great place for beignets in the morning, and within walking distance of the French Quarter. The walk to St. Louis Cemetery might be a bit much for some, but public transportation stops right across the street. The rooms are full of special touches to make a traveler comfortable: body wash, shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower; power strips with USB ports by the beds; a binder with detailed information about the area eateries and bars; a Ninja coffeemaker complete with coffee and creamer; a microwave, plates, bowls, silver, mugs and glasses; and a lovely selection of tea. There is a garden area with benches and swings and a hot tub. We felt safe walking in the neighborhood, even in the evening, and met many friendly people. I would happily stay there again.

Such a warm, welcoming, special place! Joshua and Will went above and beyond to make my birthday visit a fantastic experience to remember… Beautiful pictures decorate charming rooms with modern comforts. Centrally located to tons of great things to see or do or eat. I can’t wait to return to the beautiful Blue!

The room was nice and clean. Will was an awesome host and very helpful. The location was everything! Walk to the French Quarter and the Street Car was at the corner. I think I found my place to stay anytime I'm New Orleans.

My whole family really enjoyed our stay at the Blue60 Guest House! The room was quiet and had all the accommodations we could have asked for. We were in charge of cleaning our room during our stay, which was great because we didn't have to worry about other people coming into the room! Best of all, the room was DEFINITELY NOT haunted!

This place is close to every thing that you may enjoy while in N. O. William is very helpful and a very nice manager He will help with anything you want to know. Bus, street car, and Uber can all be used to get around. We had the porch room which is very nice for two people. So all in all this is a very nice place to stay. Thanks to Will and Josh.

This was a clean, very comfortable and beautifully decorated guest house. Josh was welcoming and responsive. It is close to public transportation. I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed in a beautiful, cozy room with a fabulous porch. It's so close to Frenchmen Street that you walk just a few blocks and you're in the best part of town for listening to jazz, with The Spotted Cat and The Three Muses right there. But it's just far enough, you know? Because for being near a busy area like that, it was amazingly quiet in my room. Josh was so kind and I love the tips he and Will created. Enchanting guesthouse that captures the quirky comfort of life in New Orleans. A lush oasis of plants decorates a colorful shotgun house complimented by a beautiful network of outdoor spaces and uniquely cozy-but-beautiful guest suites. The people who run the place genuinely care about the guests experience and comfort!

Great house and convenient location at a reasonable price! The porch suite had a charming decor with eccentric pictures hanging and the porch itself was a relaxing way to enjoy the May weather. Location was private and incredibly convenient with a grocery store across the street and only a 10 minute walk from the action on Frenchmen Street. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in New Orleans!

Without a doubt we'll be staying here again! Will was absolutely amazing and really took the time to show us around. The location is perfect, walking distance to just about everything. The room was great, and we loved the courtyard area. We've been to NOLA before but stayed in hotels, this was SO much better! You really get to immerse yourself in the culture. It was an added bonus that Will was so much fun to hang out with!

Anniversary stay and I could not have been more happy! Joshua was on vacation while we were there, but Will was the most fabulous host! The husband and I quickly made friends with him and it felt so comfortable! The apartment (Garden Suite) totally suited our needs. It was super clean, well maintained (for house built in 1850) We wanted a 'local' experience and we got it. The neighborhood was eclectic, vibrant. There is Genes Po-Boy shop 3 or 4 houses away. It's okay if you're drunk and need food. But the world famous part…? Roberts grocery across the street is a bit pricey, from our stand point (maybe not yours) but it was a saviour! It was awesome. Great wine selection, decent beer choices and an amazing hot food carry out. There are literally 2 bars within steps. Mostly gay bars, but we didn't care. They were accepting of us. We travelled the neighborhood a bit, and the people were fantastic! Short walk to Frenchman street, the French Quarter and St. Claude street car. This is now my go to place in NOLA!

Blue 60 and its owner Josh are a wonderful find. Perfectly located in the Marigny which seems to be the heart of local culture and entertainment as well as a easy walk to the French Quarter. Our stay was great and provided exactly what they claim to deliver… a off the tour bus experience in New Orleans. Will stay there again and again!

Great place to stay! We came to New Orleans to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. This was a nice spot full of culture that was only a few blocks away from the French Quarter. When the manager heard it was my birthday he brought us a complimentary bottle of champagne. Will was great! He was so helpful and gave us so many suggestions for things to do. He even organized a cab to pick us up at 5am for our departure flight. Any issue we had he took care of immediately. The only thing I will say is that the walls were pretty thin and we had some noisy early risers next to us. But its an older house, so that's to be expected. All in all, loved the house, loved the service!

Wonderful beyond words. Classic in every sense old New Orleans beauty, charm and warmth. Superb location. Loved the grounds and the hot tub. Josh, Will, and Colette the cat are wonderful hosts. Nowhere else I would stay in New Orleans.

This place exceeded our expectations. The guest house is in a perfect location, in walking distance to the French Quarter and hip, trendy bars and restaurants and across the street from a grocery store. It was very cold when we went, so the hot tub was an amazing bonus to have. Super friendly staff, clean, quaint room with lots of character. I would definitely stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

I loved staying here. We stayed in the Garden Suite for 3 nights. The location was perfect — just a 5 minute walk from the music and restaurants of Frenchmen Street, and also walkable to the French Quarter. Josh and Will gave us plenty of recommendations for things to do, places to eat, and walks to take. Their restaurant recommendations are perfect — we ate almost all of our meals at places they recommended and we loved them. Our room was quiet, bed was super comfortable, and their were water bottles and coffee and tea waiting for us. One other thing-Josh's photos are amazing — we bought one as a reminder from our trip and it is my favorite souvenir.

Charming Hotel, beautiful decor and very well located near the famous Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter. It is a house with large bed, a living room with armchair, has a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and the indispensable glasses, cups, cutlery, etc. The bathroom is very comfortable and in general it is very clean.
If you go by car you can park at the same door.
The owners are lovely and very friendly.

I didn’t actually get to stay here because I cancelled my trip due to Hurricane Nate but I would have to say, the owner of the house deserves 5 stars due to how awesome he was in handling our last minute cancellation. He actually cared about the safety of my family and the actual experience we would have versus being worried about not being paid. Thank you so much Joshua for seeing past the money and our actual safety and experience. Once this crazy weather passes we will surely book at Blue60 Guest House. It’s alresdy got 5 stars in my book!

Perfect location to be close to the action but without hearing people partying all night. The house is really nice and the customer service was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

The Blue60 Guest House took very good care of a group of travelling photographers I was showing around Louisiana. They felt comfortable, safe, and being that close to the Marigny and French Quarter they could walk to all the hot spots.

The Blue 60 was our first experience at a Guest House. We stayed in the River room and it was delightful. The highlight of our stay was Will, our host. He was so fun and full of entertaining stories. Be sure to spend some time with him. The location is charming and within a half block to the trolley system for easy access to the French Quarter. We love, love, loved it!

My wife and I just spent 2 nights at Blue60. Everything about the guesthouse is top notch. Joshua is an excellent owner and host; he had everything ready for our arrival and personally greeted us at the door. The room is comfortably decorated with nice amenities. We really liked the location as well — in the heart of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Overall, 5 stars and a great experience.

Our stay here was nothing less than awesome. Excellent location, well appointed rooms, private deck and hot tub. The owner was so incredibly nice and accommodating to our wishes. We felt like we have found a second home in the Blue60 while in New Orleans!

I cannot believe that we had such a wonderful experience. So often you'll reserve a lodging not sure your making a good choice. This was our first time in New Orleans. We're not the type that are interested in staying on the beaten path. Joshua was so insightful they actually had a very insightful reference guide. More over the hospitality and accommodation were top notch. To say that our experience was exceptional is totally down playing it, everything was at your fingertips. We sat with Joshua and his mother one afternoon in the courtyard so pleasant and minutes from everything. Southern hospitality doesn't even begin to say how welcome we felt. They had these wonderful locking system no key cards or keys everything was so personalized. We even were able to do a load of laundry before we set out for our cruise ship. Thank you Joshua, thank you Blue 60 for the experience of a lifetime.

We spent four nights in Josh's guest house and loved it! The location was perfect as it was a relatively quiet area but also less then a five minute walk to restaurants, bars, etc. The room it self was lovely and spacious and Josh left us with a book of recommendations for places to eat — a great way to try some of the local spots! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Blue60 is a delight. Joshua and Will are wonderfully helpful hosts, and the location is perfect for exploring New Orleans. We loved walking to local restaurants, bakeries, Frenchman Street for meals and jazz. Joshua and Will helped make all needed arrangements for tours, taxis, and great suggestions for places to shop and eat. The rooms are so fun, with amazing art and local antiques. I asked for decaf coffee for our room, and it was provided at once. We so appreciated all the thoughtful items provided to make our stay wonderful.

The photos don't do this place justice. The decor is incredibly classy and the room is huge. There's an awesome bathroom and a great little kitchenette with microwave, toaster, fridge and coffee maker. Location is perfect as it's on the edge of the French Quarter so walking distance to all the bars but away from the madness. The guys who run it are super friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our shower and they were on it straight away. Great place and excellent value.

Josh is a great host. My room is lovely and so comfortable just like being at home. It is clean and has everything I need in the bathroom and in the kitchen. He has a variety of books about the area and travel pamphlets for information. Josh goes out of his way to make sure you like the room and is full of local information. My room is at the back off of the deck. The patio areas are lovely. This is the place to stay as far as I'm concerned.

If your going to New Orleans, this is the place to stay, Josh and Will are excellent host, they were very helpful in pointing out attractions and best places to eat, and ways to get around, with out having to drive. The accommdations are immaculate. It is only about 6 blocks from the french quarter, 3 blocks down then 3 blocks over and your on the east end of the french quarter. This will be the only place I stay when I go to New Orleans.

The Blue 60 is a great little “off the path” Guest house. My wife and I stayed there over the weekend and it worked out perfect. It may not be located in the heart of the French Quarter but is only about a half a mile away, and this is actually a plus. We parked our car right in front of the house (free by the way) and walked the rest of the weekend. The house is also a half a block away from the Street car system. 3 bucks gets you all day access to anyplace the street car goes. When you finally wind down for the night you don’t have the bar sound as you would from some other locations. There is some road noise from the Elysian Fields Ave, which is a semi-busy road, but nothing to crazy. The house itself is nicely redone. Nothing to fancy, but very stylish and a nice place to hang out. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to see a little different side of the French Quarter. We even met some of the local neighbors and everyone displayed the typical southern charm. Well worth your time to check it out…. Jp.
