As frequent travelers, I’ve never experienced valet service of this nature. First, at $45 a night, I have no idea why a driver would go into my armrest and steal my concealed $6 for unexpected tolls. Upon my return, I quickly notified a valet manager and he returned the money. However, the second incident takes the cake. I waited 40 minutes for my car only after returning for 15 minutes and was told it had not made it back to the garage. Then, I was told it sat outside for a …while. That was not the case because I was In The lobby the entire time ordering Uber Eats before returning to valet to request my car. Then, I was told, “I don’t know where your car is. It hasn’t made it back to the garage yet. ” Not good to hear at all. A young man tried to locate our car repeatedly. I reported the incident to the manager at the front desk and they “comp” one night of valet; however, not for the unavailable room. Unfortunately, we did not get the room we reserved with the balcony. We got a suite instead and was told the rooms with balconies weren’t available. On top of that, the wall are paper-thin. We could hear the conversations of our neighbors and they weren’t loud young ladies, either. So, we compensated by turning up the TV while we slept. On a positive note. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was phenomenal. As was the bathroom (where shower shoes). The location is pretty good as well. You’re able to walk to some pivotal points in New Orleans, such Canal St. It’s a 10 minute walk to Bourban St. Since this is our anniversary weekend, We have kept everything positive and will continue to focus on the many awesome and blessed experiences we’ve had in New Orleans.
