The management at this location is ridiculous. I've worked in management for about 16yrs and excuses should be the last thing you present to your guest/customer. My fiance and I checked in Friday at about 5:45pm. At 7:00pm we notified the front desk clerk of an issue with our room. We told clerk about A/C not working. The clerk told us to turn off unit and turn back on, place temperature down on 60 degrees and turn unit on high. We did just that and left the hotel to explore the New Orleans city. When we arrived back to hotel at about 11:00 pm, A/C was not working and the room was extreme hot. We went back to front desk to report again and there was no one at front desk to report it to again. We called and finally got someone at 5:30am. No one at this location seems to be able to help us or make a decision without the General Manager whose name is Risë M. Spinelli. We were told by the housekeeping supervisor that she would contact the General manager and get back with us, which never happened. When we finally spoke to the General Manager, she was standing at the front desk and not concerned about any guest issues that were happening on the property. The first thing she should have done was try to reach to us about the situation. The General Manager DID NOT even apologize to us about the situation. What the General Manager did do was tell us she could only take $50 dollars off of the room that cost $158.00. When we all could not come to an agreement about this situation she the told us we could leave the property or she would call the cops. We should have let her call the cops because this is ROBBERY. This shows how much Choice Hotel care about the guest/customer's. I will NEVER do business again with hotels in the Choice group. I expect to receive a full refund that was charged on our card, because we paid for a service and DID NOT RECEIVE THE SERVICE! This is the number 9069666 for this complaint after calling corporate about this situation. I would appreciate someone in upper management contacting me via email address or phone number that was left after filing this complaint!
