I would highly recommend this hotel. My husband and I resided here for 1 month while working nearby. The place is freshly renovated. The office staff was friendly, very helpful and didnt allow strangers to solicit on their property. The room attendants came daily and were very generous. The maintenance man came and fixed a blown light moments after we reported it. The appliances were clean the living space were well kept. We did not experience any roaches, bedbugs nor unwanted critters during our 1 month stay. The mattresses were clean and newly purchase. The linens were icy white. The outside of the property was swept, powerwashed and even vacuumed weekly. We really enjoyed our stay and we look forward in helping anyone else enjoy theirs! The only problem we experience was the guest laundry room needs some attention. Im pretty sure… The management will handle it real soon.

I only wanted to give 1.5 but I couldn't so a two is what it is. First the pricing was really reasonable for not having a reservation. Hence the one start. Now. The room. It appeared this is a 'remodeled' location which is fine but it seem like things was undone. Only one set of towels. The decor was a bit drab and the beds was horrible. One of the beds dipped on the side so I switch to the other one in the room and it squeak so bad every time you moved, very annoying. I think the worst for me is the copying (taking a pic) of your Drivers License. In this day and age this practice just sets a customer up for identity theft. Companies do everything they can to head off a breach but they still happen. Not to mention just because you vetted that employee does not meant they wouldn't think of taking your information and doing fraudulent things with it. Having your DL, DOB, Credit Card information and address is really all you need to do damage to your name. In this techno world it should be a better way. AND they say it's destroyed after a certain time frame, who really knows if it is or not. Just a thought. And another note: Cash is just not accepted at most places anymore, I would much rather pay in cash then to have all my pertinent information at a hotel.

Roaches — Beware! The Good! — front desk staff was friendly (but incapable of help). The television, sink, and mattresses appeared to be brand new. They are military and dog friendly. The Bad! — The bathtub lacked a tub stopper and front desk told me to stuff the drain with a wash cloth because maintenance was unavailable. The Cox cable box was mounted behind the TV, so I had to stand up and point the remote behind the TV. The Terrible! — I killed 5 roaches, but saw more. There are holes in the walls. The electrical outlets were hanging outside the wall. The room was filthy. The walls and doors were covered in smudges and dirt. There was body hair on the bed and inside the shower. My family wouldn't walk on the filthy floor barefoot. Partly my fault. I arrived tired and only reported the tub stopper problem. I didn't report the dirty room because I had zero confidence in an available clean room and I didn't want to relocate my tired family. I did report the roaches in the morning prior to check out. Front desk said someone would spray to kill them. Update — I filed a complaint with corporate prompting the new owner to contact me. She was very friendly and offered a full refund. She acknowledged some work needs to be done and I believe requisite change is likely forthcoming.

Friendly reception, clean room, nice tv, good bathroom area. Can I complain about the too clean bathtub? Perhaps a little slippery, otherwise, this place was great and surrounded with lots of eating choices.

We checked in shortly after 10 p. M. So the entire transaction was done through glass. I did not appreciate having my signature forged on a form. Nor did I appreciate being told that I was going to be charged extra because the room I booked had been sold out before we arrived. (this was fixed, and we paid what we reserved. ) I did appreciate the morning staff calling to double-check that we had left, as they thought we had left something in the room. The lack of breakfast options based on the pricing was very disappointing. No information was provided about Wi-Fi. No alarm clock was also disappointing. I was also disappointed at the lack of shampoo/conditioner.

No one at the front desk when we arrived. There seems to be only one person manning the desk and she was out checking on something on the property, so we waited abou 10 minutes for her to get back It took over 30 minutes to get checked in as the computer did not upload my reservation for 2 rooms and had only assigned one. I do not fault the clerk for this, as she immediately called "help desk" for assistance. (More training needed to handle these situations) Both rooms were clean, but the bathrooms had mold/mildew in the tub area surround. One room had a bug caulked in the tub surround. The toilets are a joke. They are not standard size, but appear to be child-sized, very small and low to the floor.

New Management. They tried to do what they needed to do but they have a long way to go to earn a 2-star. The floors were dirty. The beds were not properly made. And there was no toilet paper for backup in case you run out. I think it will be better once the new manager gets things straightened out.

The bathroom was filthy and had definitely not been cleaned in a long while. The toilet had been used and not flushed. It made me only wonder if the sheets and linens had been washed between guests. This is why I give this motel such a low rating and will not recommend to others.

The room was disgusting! They give you two towels in a double room and charged 79.99 because we came in the middle of the night! My son got pulled over because we were coming back from vacation in Florida and we were tired and looking for a place to get some rest! The guy over charged us for no reason! There are other hotels in the area that are cheaper and cleaner! The room smelled like smoke and had boot prints all over it! If I wasn’t exhausted I would have left! STAY AWAY! My brother drives trucks for a living I will make sure he lets all the truckers know to go elsewhere! Be careful who you take advantage of!

Upon further inspection of the room, we realize there are no hooks, rods, shelves, bars or anything of the sort to hang your clothes and towels. 3. The mini fridge was caked with brown ice in the freezer portion at the top. 4. The room was covered in strange smudges and dingy build up and stains from prior tenants stays. I went through the room myself with antibacterial wipes to get my mind at ease but it's more grime than one should experience.

Right off the interstate and basic. It was clean and quick. Right next to chilis and a few other restaurants so it was convenient. Keep in mind, its a cheap hotel so dont go in expecting some fancy 5 star place.

This is a nice place to stay if you need a place to lay your head for a day or two, but the room itself does not give off a "come and stay awhile" kind of feel considering there is no refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, or sofa. The room is big. The "bedroom" is modern with a comfy bed and a nice sized TV hung on the wall. Also instead of the normal lamps around the room, there are LED lights installed in the ceiling, which assist in the modern feel. The bathroom is small but adequate for my needs. Overall, it's a good find for the price. Last but not least, the woman that checked me in and out of the hotel, Ms. Tina, was very nice and kind.

Glad to have a place for the dog and I to get off the highway for the night. Motorcycle club members holding court in foldup chairs in parking lot and they're still at it. T. V. Doesn't work, so I got an out of service room. Small dead roach on the bathroom floor. 'We'll leave the roach on for ya! '

First it was a nice large room recently re-modeled. The remodel was really poorly done, super low quality, slop everywhere, also a little dirty. Staff was very nice tried to help us with a TV that only had one channel and off-on and volume.

The room was very clean and nice. Location was great (right next to the highway) and the staff was amazing. The ladies in the office (I think one was a security lady and the other was the receptionist) were extremely helpful. I thought my cat got out and they spent a little over 30 minutes reviewing the tapes and consoling me (I was a blubbering mess) until we found him. I would definitely recommend this location because they defy the motel standard and are definitely above some of the higher end hotels I've stayed at as well (plus I saved a lot more money).

Very recently updated with a modern flare. Hardwood floors are a nice touch as we all know most hotel room carpets get cleaned only every 5 years. Couple matters: 1) No bedside lighting — all lighting is from recessed ceiling floodlights. Reading is tough. 2) Bring your own soap, 1 small chip was all there was in room, 3) Thought $70 a night was high for the room, especially in that area.

Very clean, Great Value for price. I wanted to see the room before paying. The male clerk said not possible that people take key and use room then say not want. He told me I had 10 minutes to get a refund. I paid and went straight to room. I have no idea what Denham Springs Motel 6 looked liked before flood of 2016 but it is very nice and CLEAN! Please don't mind our personal belongings. I forgot to take pictures till was checking out.

I had out of town family stay there and the a/c was broken.

I have stayed here before when it was not a Motel 6 and I gave the Motel a better rating. This time however… I dont know if its because it was taken over by Motel 6 or what, but I was very unhappy this time. I will NOT be staying again even though it used to be my "go to" place. The Wi-Fi is absolutely horrible. Worst I've ever experienced. I was staying several days and had to have my room key recharged or whatever several times. Even the first day, it stopped letting me in my room. NO stopper for the tub or sink. Two dinky little pillows on the bed. The bed spread is very very thin and there were no blankets. On the plus side, I was able to have my pets with me. The woman at the desk when I checked in was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, that was not true of any of the other people who worked the desk. They were all very sullen and unfriendly when I took my room card to them to get it working again.

Affordable but room smelled like urine.

Rooms are large, but the room smelled of urine AND there seems to be alot of shady people coming and going. King bed w two small pillows, I also have a set of my own travel sheets for cases like this and I used them! Didn't pull down the cover at all, just put my bedding on top, just in case. I got stuck in terrible storm in the area, should of tried south side of I-12. Don's Seafood across the street was a good meal, motel needs help in more ways than one. Btw… It's a Motel 6 now.

The rooms were big. But we had a king bed and it only had 2 pillows on it… and two sheets to cover up with and let me add the air conditioner worked very well. Toilet seat was dirty. And for breakfast the gravy was expired it tasted so rotten! I was still happy with it till I noticed the nasty toilet seat and spoiled gravy!

The place is a total dump. Smelled like vomit mixed with piss. We went back to get our money back and they refused. No stars.

Worth your stay! This hotel was very nice and up to date on all the amenities! Staff was very friendly and rooms were extremely comfortable. They have the best customer service always willing to go the extra mile for their guest helps me find great restaurants to eat. Had a great night sleep, very comfortable beds I must say. No bugs, comfortable pillows, and enough towels for guest. The only complaint I have is that I was only staying one night and heading out the next morning. Would love to have stayed longer.

I have read the reviews for this hotel and I can only assume that the owners/managers wrote them. This place was a complete dump. We had powerful storms pass through the Baton Rouge area so there was widespread power outage. Because my husband and I both had to work the next day, we thought it would be more convenient just to get a hotel room for the night. I booked this room online based on the reviews and the photos. While the photos are of the room — they must be from about ten years ago. They are NOT current. The room stunk, there were stains of unknown origin on the carpet and there was grime in the bathroom around the shower. I sat on the bed and within minutes, I started itching. Within one hour of arrival, my husband and I decided to go back home in the dark as opposed to spending the night in that hotel room. Additionally, they have a no cancellation policy which means that if you book it online, you can't cancel once you see it in person. What a scam. By the way, the rooms aren't $54 — they are $78. Do yourself a favor, keep scrolling past this place.

This place was awesome. Room was massive. Breakfast was just as good as any other hotel and a little better. Management went above and beyond required service for me and my wife. Can't get anything near this quality for the price. Great stay.

Ok for the price air conditioning doesn't work to good light bulbs missing you can see lots of day light through door with it closed but like I said good for the price as for the staff don't really know only one girl at front desk no problem with her.

Stayed one night, couldn't handle another one. Had to wash the tub out before I would even step in it. TV remote didn't work, Blow dryer looked like it would catch on fire if you used it. Was supposed to serve hot Breakfast and the only thing hot was the coffee. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

I stayed two nights in jacuzzi sweet was very nice but only room for one in jacuzzi. Staff was super friendly breakfast was good and room was clean. 78 dollars a night u can't beat that.

Horrible service and facilities. They made many excuses over and over for the problems, never accepting responsibility, generally saying "I just work here, " and always needing to "call the owner" to get anything done. The pool was out of service, which they did not post on their website; however, they did admit it "should have been" posted. They would not cancel our reservation once we found out they did not have a pool, although that was a key reason for choosing them with the number of kids we had brought with us. The online host had double booked one of the rooms, which they also could not cancel, but the online agent canceled after about 20 minutes on the phone. The rooms were not clean, stains all over the place, and stunk horribly. We did get to cross the busy street and use the pool across the street, which was overfull with two fully booked hotels of people trying to swim. Service was poor all around, including the fact that we had to go to the front to get extra bedding, as they had not provided any for the pull-out bed and would not bring it to the room. Overall, a very poor experience. We should have known better, but we only had a quick overnight stay to survive. Breakfast was also horrible: bad food, bad service, left without eating much at all.

I travel extensively and this hotel is a beautiful hotel, especially for the great price. Its on par with any Hampton Inn I've stayed at. I would highly recommend this hotel any travelers visiting Denham Springs. The rooms were awesome, the staff was very friendly, and the hotel appears to be brand new renovated.
