Review of Studio 6-Sulphur, LA 2*

I have had several issues with this location. Upon arrival, I had a 10 day reservation. I paid for 7 days, as it states in the terms at the bottom of the reservations page that if my reservation is for more than 7 days and less than 27 days customers can pay for the first 7 then pay each consecutive day after that. On the 8th day, I went down to pay and they tried to charge me nearly double the price on my reservation. I showed them my reservation and they said it had been cancelled. I called Guest Services and they researched my reservation and found that the manager had changed my reservation to 7 days without my permission and without notice. I had to end up paying almost $100 three days in a row. Bendiya at the front counter is perhaps the rudest person I have ever encountered in the motel business, she screams at the trainee at the front counter, the housekeeper and the customers. It was appaling, My boyfriend travels with his job and we stay in many motels. When I arrived and came in the room it was filthy. I had to wipe all the cabinets and the walls down because they were so disgusting. There were only 3 spoons and 4 forks and a bunch of big cooking Spoons but no knives nor butterknives, there were 2 coffee cups, 3 plates and 1 bowl. They advertise a set of 4 of all. A friend was passing through town on vacation and came on my room for a few hours and they charged me for an extra person for that day, and proceeded to notify me that I was not allowed any visitors. This is not stated on their website. I would have moved due to their rudeness, but my boyfriend was working 12 hour days and both of our vehicles were needed to pack all of our things and I didn't have 4 hours to wait to check into another motel, nor could I afford a weekly rate elsewhere at the time because of the 3 days they overcharged me and his payday was on the 10th day. That was the reason for me making a 10 day reservation. I will never stay at this studio 6 again, and I will tell everyone how poorly I was treated here. May never stay at another location Studio 6 either, if customer service does not rectify this situation.
