Checked in wed June 19 black desk clerk ran my debit and credit card said both were declined. Both cards had ample amounts of money on them. I pulled my bank account up on my phone $603 had came out of my account. Clerk said she couldn’t see it on her end. Refused to give us a room. She ran my debit card manually agin an took out another $603 it’s now Monday June 23 still haven’t got my money back. Clerk has refused to fax a copy of the decline to my bank or help during this week to get my money back, when I checked out yesterday same black clerk refused to give me a receipt for either transaction. I had to call Sulfer police to come and get my hotel receipt for one transaction an get police case number for the second transaction. Worst stay ever, I was on phone with Hampton Corporate every day for hours I was hung up on, I was told they would call me, they were rude and no help at all. THE Hotel large cemetery in the front door. Front area it looked like the plants had been ripped out of the ground very unkept area. Police were called one night I’m assuming a drug bust cops everywhere going thru a truck. There was a big dog running around no leash, dog feces in stairwell and hall, suppose to be no animal hotel. Broke running toilet all week, cold breakfast every morning. I posted survey about Hotel Sunday in parking lot before I left, it still hasn’t been posted. They’ve given their self a 4? The majority of the reviews I read gave them 2, 3 that doesn’t add up to 4.

Front Desk help was super nice. They go above and beyond to help you. I recommend this hotel for everyone and give them 5 out of 5 stars…

Checked in room somthing was wrong with the thermostat. They took care of the situation right away. And from that point my stay was comfortable. They also had fresh coffee which was nice.

Clean friendly and functional rooms. Good breakfasts too.

We visit lots of Hampton Inns and its mostly our go to hotel. But some are nicer than others. Not sure why.

The Lake Charles Hampton Inn: Hire front desk personnel who help with problems ie incredible noise issues. Not overcharge $90! per room.

Great people when you ask for something they do it right then and there.

This place used to be really good. However, when I checked in yesterday, and asked if I could be on the 3rd floor, where it would be quiet, she said "we don't have many people here, so we put everyone at the end of the hallway on the first floor, so the maids don't have to go all over the hotel to clean rooms. " Ok, well, that's a bummer that maid convenience overrides an easy request from an exhausted traveler who just wanted to sleep in a quiet area. Morning breakfast — very watered down orange juice. My door barely closed, and made a huge dragging/scraping noise each time it was opened or closed.

I had 2 reservations and was trying the App for the first time. When checking in the double queens, the system didnt show me what types of rooms so I assumed I was checking in my king, well it switched it to a king choosing that room. I tried checking in my other room and found out also was a king. I called the hotel no luck at first since this is Team member reservations. Called Hilton they said it was the hotels modification. I was stressed, this is for my mother's bday. And come to find out the had no more doubles. I called the hotel back. The manager let me know that the App was at fault and that he could fix it for me since the had a double cancel. Thank goodness! I'm sure even if there wasn't a cancellation they would have taken care of it. Glad to be apart of Hamptons and looking forward to our stay tomorrow. Thank you all for your help.

Other than the new policy of not being able to switch the credit card on file before checking into the hotel the experience was great. Free breakfast, decent complementary Wi-Fi, very clean rooms and comfortable beds.

We recently attended a family wedding in Sulfur. Our entire family stayed at this Hampton Inn in Sulphur. This Hampton was wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were great, very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I would like to give a big thank you to Leann and the whole staff for our wonderful stay! Very sincerely, Denise Robinson.

Rooms were clean, there was a nice variety for breakfast. Parking is close. It is located on the main street but very quiet once you're inside.

Still fresh and new feeling. Conveniently right off the interstate and didn't have to hear cars all night.

Great place, room was nice, pool is outside, gym and business center on 1st floor, didn't get to eat breakfast. Staff is friendly, cheerful, helpful and great.

Friendly staff and nice, clean rooms. Continental breakfast was very good. Outdoor pool area was amazing.

The group made us feel at home during our 2 week stay. Mary on the night shift welcomed us back nightly, gave ideas for activities in the area and made sure we had everything we needed each evening. I saw her interact with all guests this way. She was kind and compassionate helping those impacted by hurricane victims.

The room was nice but they dont have any decent handicap rooms or shower chairs. I went there and the gave me a shower chair that I couldn't even sit on so I had to sit on the toilet and drop water on myself to take a shower… I even called ahead of time to make sure it was a wheelchair room with either a shower bench or that they had some kind of shower chair I could use. The bed was nice and soft so for anyone not disabled it should be nice. However if your in a chair or use a shower chair take your own to this hotel.

A bit old but exactly what you'd expect from an off ramp motel. Don't use the fitness room or pool, however it is a good clean room with good people.

I reserved a room a found rates cheaper in area. This is not a high end hotel. There are several maintenance issues. If you go one more exit you will find better accommodations. I reserved room through call center never again. This will be the last time I ever stay at a Hampton Inn. Be carful of fine print on cancellation policy.

Nicest hotel in the area. Lobby is very nice and clean. Rooms are pretty good too. Bathroom was a little run down, but that's all. Good hotel. Recommended.

Just this particular Hampton Inn — They thought it wise to have a hotel next door to a grave yard! — Roseland Cemetery 50 % of all the rooms have a view of the grave yard… It is the only view available for these rooms! So unless it's happy Halloween, stay away! Normally I have a very pleasant experience with all the hampton inns. Just this one was badly planned! The facility, the managers and the rooms were as usual great!

Exactly what I've come to expect from Hampton Inn.

Aside from a very friendly Front Desk girl, my stay at Hampton was HORRIBLE. Rooms were outdated, overpriced, and filthy. I found several dead bugs in the room and once speaking to the head of housekeeping soon discovered that this had to do with laziness of behalf of her AND her staff alike. In addition the room smelt horrible as if it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned so they addressed this by spraying the curtains and ac vents with air freshener. Wouldn't recommend to ANYONE. Unless your driving by and want to pick up some of the teas available in the lobby.

I decided to try your property and had a very pleasant stay! The breakfast hostess was sooo polite and helpful; we loved her! Thanks for your hospitality and I have decided to stay with you guys on my return visits. My family and I will be there this weekend. I stay at different places but I think I have found a home away from home. We come to this area every 2 weeks.

This is just another Hampton, maybe a little on the lower side of that. The rate was too high for the room I got, which was just a very basic room. Of course with the comfy Hampton bed. I came in very late and very tired so I guess they knew they could gouge me.
