We stayed at the Town and Country Motel this past week as we accompanied my husband on his work trip. When we were booking, we were looking for an inexpensive place to stay that looked nice and clean. Clean and inexpensive don't always go hand in hand, but they certainly did on this occasion! The owners were warm and welcoming, as was the cleaning staff that we saw come through daily. The rooms always looked clean and smelled fresh. To this germaphobe mom, that means a lot! We also enjoyed having the pool pretty much to ourselves, along with seeing what shapes they would form the pool towels into each day. The only thing I wish that was different was that they had larger rooms to accomodate larger families, as there are usually 5 of us, rather than the 4 that stayed there this past week. I understand the space constraints that they are working with, it is just wishful thinking as we would have loved to stay there again! I highly recommend that you give it a try, and make sure to stop by and tell Bo "hi" for us if you do! My girls loved seeing him each morning!

Hubby and I just spent 6 nights at this amazing place. The rooms are spacious and the cleanest we have ever encountered. I booked the room based on the reviews it had and we weren't disappointed. You can tell, that the owners love what they are doing. We had an awesome time and will definitely be back!

An absolute gem of a place! They advertise the cleanest rooms on the lake, and I don't doubt it for a second. Immaculate rooms, with super clean bathrooms, too. They go the extra mile with the little toiletries and towels and Kleenex folded into cute designs. So inviting and welcoming. There's spacious, easily accessible parking, with a number of spaces for boat trailers. They even have electrical hookups to keep the trolling motors charged. Every staff member I bumped into was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast selection was extensive, and don't forget to check for cookies at the front desk. My only word of warning — if you have a cow phobia, beware! Replicas of the cute animals can be found throughout the moo-tel, right down to those cookies on the front desk. If you need a room for the night, the weekend, or the week, don't hesitate to book it here. No, it's not a 5-star resort, but if you like a well-priced place with tons of charm and character, this is the motel for you.

Chose the Town & Country Motel for a recent visit to the area based on the very favorable online ratings/reviews, and I was not disappointed. The check-in was friendly, welcoming (even by Beauregard, the English bulldog), and informative of the area. The room was comfortable and spotless. The small fridge and microwave were very nice to have. The only negative was the rather heavy "room freshener" fragrance of the room — going a bit lighter on that would be nice. Bed was comfortable (we brought our own pillows, but another guest at checkout raved about them). We didn't use the breakfast, so cannot comment on it. Overall, the high ratings are well deserved.

All the amenities you would expect at a bigger chain hotel, with the mom and pop extra touches like homemade cookies at the front desk. The staff/owners we dealt with were all very friendly and nice and the hotel was so clean. On a side note, if you are Canadian, come prepared to talk CFL with the owner Morris as he is a huge CFL fan!

Just want to take a moment to say how amazing this place really is. We always stay here when we are in town and will continue to in the future! They are so incredibly friendly, the rooms are as clean as can be, they are newly remodeled, the bed is super comfortable and the pool is well maintained. The man at the front desk deserves a medal… we didnt get back to our room until 1:30 in the morning and realized we left our key in the room. He was woken up to get us another key and didnt complain about it at all, he was super professional about the situation! Cant wait to stay here again in the future!

Hands down the cleanest rooms at the lake besides an super expensive condo. You won't regret staying here.

Town & Country Motel is a Mom and Pop motel in the best sense of the term. Due to the re-routing of 54, their location is no longer on the only way through town, but they have held up well. Their building is a bit older, 60's style architecture, but it has been maintained or well remodeled. There's a small pool with a significant deep end out front that also appears to be well maintained. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. They gave us several good suggestions of things to do while in town and have taken very good care of our needs. The Wi-Fi is available, but there was a spot in my room that it didn't pick up well, but otherwise it was never down. For the price, the charm and the hospitality, I would definitely stay again.

Morris is very personable and attentive! Extremely clean rooms! Great price! Sweetest Bulldog you'll ever meet! The bed and pillows are new, and to die for! Best bed I've EVER slept on in a motel/hotel/resort. New beds and bedding from pictures currently listed. New windows and air units. New Loveseat with hide-a-bed in King room was so comfy. Sparkling pool! Quiet! Felt safe. Morris recommended a sports bar just down the street… and it was stellar! We will be staying here again!

Excellent mattress! Interior of rooms equal to four star hotels. Easy access to highway, gas, dining and bait shop within 1/2 mile!

The rooms where clean but the beds where as hard as sleeping on the floor. They don’t offer any kind of breakfast, but the worst part was the staff wasn’t very kind or courteous. No one tells you there is only one boat per room & they will not work with you in any way to help out on the parking, even though there was a space open next to our hotel the entire weekend. They tried to get us to buy another room just to make some money, (they don’t accept cash either so keep that in mind if you plan to stay here) they neglected telling us the furniture store beside them allowed boaters to park there, so we had to drive 5 mins to a park and leave our boat there all night.

If you want to stay at a motel with great rates, this is the place! If you want a motel with spotless clean rooms AND comcomfortable beds this is the place. We have been coming to the Lake for more than 30 years, this is the most reasonable, clean, no frills stay here. I would highly recommend staying here.

My brother and I came here when we couldn't go anywhere else due to a massive ice storm over the weekend. The room was clean and well-kept. The staff (which I believe was the owners) were friendly and kind. The price was low for the quality of the room.

I love this Mom and Pop Motel. It's very clean they even use a black light when they clean the rooms! Very comfy bed, loveseat/fold out bed was excellent. Very friendly staff. Love that you can park right in front of your room, no lugging your suitcase and stuff up and down steps or elevators and through hallways. Great amenities. I'm staying here again next week for business and I'm really looking forward to it. Take a lawn chair and sit outside your room, they allow smoking outside your room and have ashtrays provided. To heck with motel chains, this place is perfect for my needs. Thanks everyone at Town and Country Mootel! :0)

I want to praise this hotel. The price was very reasonable and staff very nice and polite. I recommend this place if you are looking for a place to stay. 7 minutes away from Osage Outlet shops. Good place to stay. This is what I would call a Ma and Pa locally owned hotel with decent price for this type of hotel. They are usually a 50/50 chance of being good or bad. I read the reviews and they seemed pretty good so why not take a chance and book a room. I booked online. About 30 minutes later the motel called to check with us to see if we knew about what time we would arrive to make sure someone would be at the office. The rooms were very clean. There was also a fridge, microwave and toiletries in case you forgot your soap and shampoo. Beds were good as well. Swimming pool too. Highly recommend this motel.

Came to town on an impromptu getaway with my boyfriend. Scrambled the first night for lodging and ended up at the four seasons, it was fine but then we discovered this gem of a place. Stayed one night and then decided to stay another because of how lovely the place was. My boyfriend works long hard hours and stays in all sorts of crazy places, he got to recharge and I thank this place. Super clean, quiet, private, friendly staff, and of course the sweetest puppy in the office. I will recommend this place to anyone that is going to the lake. Thank you for a wonderful stay. The woman who ate breakfast in the office.

The pictures do not do this place justice. For a little roadside motel, it was very clean and the owners are very nice!

Person at the front desk was very nice and helpful when we got there and through out our stay. Rooms were very clean and tidy. Shower with decent water pressure which some places lack. Only small annoyance was parking area was very tight my car was hit multiple times but other guests and they didn't seem to care. Lack of available plugs in the room as well every plug had something already in use lights / Tv / alarm clock / coffee pot in bathroom which could be unplugged but not helpful for a laptop.

Overall, a solid place for an overnight stay. Clean room, recent reflooring and painting, and friendly staff. You could pay more for the same room at other places. And honestly? I liked the "old-fashioned" idea of parking five feet from my room door. Easy in, easy out. I'll stay here again in the future.

For it being an independent motel, it's very nice. It's well-maintained, the the staff is friendly.

Beautiful sparkling pool, possibly the cleanest place we've stayed on the lake. Great, friendly staff. Continental breakfast was just bagels, prepackaged pastries, a couple packets of oatmeal, a few boxes of individual cereal, milk and coffee but it was free! Definitely will be back!
