We are used to staying in upscale hotels. Booked this as a we just need to get away place. Loved it. Lots to do in the towns surrounding including plenty to do for free in Ha Ha Tonka Park (2 mi away), rooms are clean, breakfast is good, and Dave had a bon fire going every night next to the pool. It reminded me more of a bed and breakfast than a motel. We will be going back.

My family and I came here for the weekend and we rented three rooms. They allowed us to decorate for a birthday, when we arrived early they hurried to get the rooms ready so we could enter right away. Later on when we were ready for bed there was a issue with one of the beds in the room we were sharing with my sister and her husband. However, Tim placed us in another hotel for the night. Although we missed one night of sleeping in the same room with family, the bed was fixed immediately the next day and we returned to enjoying our trip with the family. The staff were amazing throughout the issue and worked with us to get it taken care of ASAP. I would recommend this location to all travelers. The breakfast and campfire area were also amazing and the 24/7 pool is a huge plus! Thanks for such a fantastic stay!

Great place to stay! Very clean. Breakfast was great! The owner Tim was very nice and made sure your needs were met. Pool was nice and clean. There was always plenty of ice. Friendly staff. Overall a nice place to stay with lots of hospitality!

I'm very impressed. All the staff are great and rooms are qvery very clean. I will come back and I will tell anyone to book to stay here. They went above and beyond to meet my expectations. Best sleep and breakfast in town. Keep up the great work.

This place is the BEST! Staff is amazing. It is clean, you can't ask for better hospitality. Pool, fire pitt, rooms are clean. Pet friendly! My family will definately be coming back.

I rented one of the cabins for the weekend & I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Water, charcoal, lighter fluid & bonfire makings were provided. I will definitely stay here again! Plus the pool is open 24 hours!

My room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful showing where anything extra we might need was kept. The pool are was nicely kept. Breakfast for being brought in was pretty good. I enjoyed my stay.

The owner is very accommodating and helpful! Even when we showed up out of the blue and we needed reservations, he went out of his way to look for any cancellations and accommodated us. Very good service! I liked the rooms as well! Would definitely recommend!

We stayed in one of the rental houses. It is very comfortable and quiet. The free breakfast was fabulous.

Such a great little secret! Very clean. Comfortable beds. Soft sheets (huge plus for this little gal). Fire pit and charcoal grill. Lots of amenities. AND, pet friendly. We would are currently back in town, and they sold our room out from underneath us, or we would be there right now! Highly recommend, but book in advance.

Great place to stay and pets are welcome, they really do all their ads say far as breakfast fire pit and bbq grills awesome owner and staff. I was their for two weeks for work and would definitely stay their again hot breakfast every morning too.

When we underestimated the time between Texas and Missouri a few months ago we found out we needed a place for 2 nights. Not only did they help us out after regular operating hours, but they let us change rooms due to a special request. We were worried but it ended up being a very nice stay and couldn't have enjoyed it more.

I stay in motels more than I stay at home and my experience with Dave's Hideaway has been one of the very best in my 35 years of travel Thanks!

This is a nice comfortable place. It is one of the older inns that has been revitalized. The management is doing a great job. So is the staff.

What an awesome place to stay! You feel like your all family there, rooms are very clean, beds are so comfortable, breakfast is wonderful with variety to choose from, the owner treats you like your family. We stayed in the cabin this time, owner already had wood in the fire pit for us, with charcoal & lighter fluid waiting for us to grill in our own private patio. We will always stay here every time we go to the lake! Thankyou so much Tim (owner) for the great hospitality!

This place feels like staying at a friend's house. The rooms are clean, extra supplies are laid out if you need them, breakfast is excellent, he provides grills, charcoal and lighter fluid if you want to grill out, pool and fire pit area area vey nice. If you're looking for fancy, this might not be for you. If you're looking for reasonable rates, clean, comfortable and very relaxing this is your place. We travel more weekends than we stay home and this is one of the most overall comfortable places we've ever stayed.

This place is great … 24 hr pool, catered breakfast and allows pets… Plus Dave's is American owned and operated … Can't forget about Dave… Real down to earth guy who is on his game here!

Dave's rocks. We have been all over the country and stayed in all kinds of accommodations. While Dave's isn't the most to date, they are cheaper than the competition and much more personal. Many personal touches such as fans, fridges, full size bottles of brand name shampoo, fire pit, bar b q grills with supplies, tiki umbrella, and catered breakfast by bob evans. I highly recommended staying here.

My sister and I were traveling from Columbia, MO to Texas very late at night and had to find a place to stop for a few hours of sleep. I called Dave's Hideaway and was offered a great deal on a room so we could rest for a bit before continuing our trip. The staff was kind and professional, the room was extremely clean, and the beds were very comfortable. I would absolutely recommend Dave's to anyone traveling through Camdenton!

Anytime I come across a hidden gem like Dave's Hideaway, I have to share. Given the fact I had just moved out of my apartment and was waiting for my new place to be ready, I needed somewhere local and last minute as this was a Saturday. They luckily had one room left and if I'm honest I wasn't expecting too much. I couldn't have been more wrong. They allowed me to bring my dog for little to no extra cost and informed me a full breakfast was provided by a local chef on the weekends. The rooms are your basic hotel rooms fully air conditioned, clean and have  pretty comfortable beds. I had intended to stay only a few days but ended up staying nearly two weeks at very reasonable rates with a free night after one week. Above all those upsides, the owner Tim and manager Monica made this the great experience it has been. To say helpful and friendly will not do them justice. Any and every little thing they could do to make my stay as home felt as possible they did, even offering me supper when they grilled by the pool. Having stayed in many hotels here within the states and Europe over the years, I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat and encourage everyone to give it a try.

Nice and clean place to stay at the lake of the ozarks.

So far very old place but fairly clean huge Windows hard to sleep during day. Better then a crack motel.
