10 stars bc 5 just isn’t enough! Where do I even start!? The Honeycomb Hostel exceeded my expectations! I came to KC for my bachelorette party with 21 of my closest friends/ family members and we rented out the entire hostel. Elsa was absolutely amazing and made us all feel at home! Her dog Max was such a cute and friendly pup that we all adored. He staff (Tevin and Jay) were some of the sweetest people too. Words can’t even begin to express just how great of a person Elsa is and how she makes everyone who steps foot in the hostel part of the family. She went out of her way and even had a comedy show for us girls one of the nights! I know all of us girls will be back to stay with Elsa when we come to town again. Thank you for everything! If I could give you 10 stars I would!

Beautiful clean space in an unique neighborhood of KC. The best part of this hostel is the owner, Elsa. She has amazing stories and will change your life! The hostel has a welcoming environment and will make your KC stay comfortable and homey.

I’ve stayed here 3 or 4 times now as I passed through from Ohio to Colorado. Always comfortable, always welcoming. Regret I haven’t yet had time to really explore the city! Elsa is a great manager. Things are clean and well kept! Max is also a very friendly dog who brings some extra charm to this place. Highly recommend! So grateful I know I have a place to stay when I take trips out west!

Wonderful visit! Beautiful house, neighborhood and dog! Elsa and Max (the dog) are the greatest hosts! They do have shared rooms, lockers, kitchen and a nice terrace to go have a cold beer. Really loved their decorations! The honeycomb is near to bus stops that can takr you to downtown. Totally recommended it!

Excellent host. Cool city. Awrsome people. Even better bbq and jazz. Definitely worth staying here if in town for a conference.

This hostel stay totally changed my life. It was my first hostel stay ever and I will never forget the talks with other travelers. I especially won't forget Elsa. This amazing women is straight out of a fairy tail and helped me to open my eyes to a new world of opportunities. So greatful for this experience. A total must visit.

I met so many people from all over the world and had one of the most eye opening experiences of my life while traveling to this city and staying at this hostel. So beautiful and home like. I can't wait to go back!

Words can't really describe how GREAT the Honey Comb Hostel is. The beautiful Hostel is warm and welcoming. Elsa the owner and staff are superb, right from the start, she gave us a tour of the place and made us feel right at home. We had a group of 5 girls from Columbia, Missouri visiting KC for a Bachelorette Party for the weekend. Before we even left to go out for the night Elsa, lent the bride-to-be a beautiful white coat that matched her outfit because she was worried that she would get cold. Besides the amazing hospitality, the Building was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. We even had an amazing Hostel dog named Max who was always around for a handshake. I wish we could have stayed longer, but will DEFINITELY be back to visit! (Especially to see Max. )

This Hostel was absolutely fantastic. It had a really cozy atmosphere and felt like home. Everything was clean and our room had a really comfortable bed! Elsa and staff were great hosts, helpful, and satisfied all of our questions about what to do in the city and gave us great reccomendations. I would absolutely recommended to anyone who travel to KC!

Stayed 2 nights and had an absolute blast! The owner Elsa and Maddie are true backpackers, were super friendly, laid back and welcoming. They gave me all the info I needed to see the sights in the city and eat at some great local spots. Hostel is in a huge house that has been newly renovated, lots of common space to relax with modern kitchen and showers. There is also rear car parking available. Loved my stay and would def return. Thanks for everything!

Amazing hostel. Opened 3 months ago, everything is big clean and new. The owner is absolutely lovely and has many stories to tell. There is a playful dog which makes the thing very homely. The only thing missing was a hairdryer and maybe a washer, but the owner offered to wash my stuff and said in the coming renovations a washer will be installed. Absolutely fantastic.

This is super charming and probably one of the cleanest hostels I’ve been to. It’s a much needed addition to the Midwest as it’s the only hostel in Kansas City. (Im from St. Louis and there are none)

This place is clean, cozy, and genuinely beautiful. The staff are kind and welcoming even the dog Max will give you a warm greeting! if you're in town stay here!

I stayed with them a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t ask for more! Clean beds and bathrooms and a super friendly staff. The owner and some friends were talking in the dining room and they welcomed me like family! An added bonus: I used to travel the US and Canada for work and that was the second most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on! I can’t wait to stay with them again!
