To be honest, the location is terrible. If you're coming from the south you have to double back on a very busy highway. There is nothing within walking distance and all nearby food options are south so you have to do the double back again. The neighboring building is boarded up and overgrown. Besides the bad location, though, it's a nice hotel. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are what you expect from a holiday inn. Beds are comfy and the breakfast is filling. Can't go wrong with the cinnamon rolls!

Pamela the GM is So Awesome! She helped us get a room at another hotel because they were at compacity here at The Holiday Inn Express. She was helpful in staying on the phone with my wife to give directions to another hotel, And she even wished me a Happy Birthday! (So Sweet). We were Very Pleased that she would go out her way and be so helpful to us. We would Definitely be back to see Pamela And The Wonderful Staff was helpful in giving us directions on which casinos to visit and where we should eat once we arrived. Pamela and The ENTIRE STAFF at The Holiday Inn Express are TRULY AWESOME! Thank You All Again.

Extremely friendly staff. Convenient location. Staff literally never stopped cleaning the entire 4 days we there. One of The cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in.

Second stay here was consistent with the first. Clean comfortable room, good service from the staff and everything was as expected.

Have been staying here three nights a week for a couple months while working in the area. Will be here for several more months. Clean comfortable hotel with a great staff. Pamela the general manager is quite possibly the kindest, professional person I've had the pleasure to meet in the hotel business. Highly recommend if staying in the Raytown area.

It was an OK stay. They missed my wake up call the first morning, and the breakfast was meh. None of the delicious smells you normally get, the selection was small. I went to go outside, but all the doors have signs not to exit there, so you have to go through the front. The pool was murky so I wouldn't use it. The room was clean and the front desk staff was pleasant though, so overall it's still an alright place if you just need somewhere to crash.

Hotel was nice. Staff was nice but could use some training. Bathroom door wouldn't latch closed — let front desk know and she said she'd make a note.

23 family members and myself traveled from Shreveport, Louisiana to attend a young family member’s funeral. It was a painful time and we arrived in the middle of the night. The staff was superb… my cousin found the hotel for us and got a great group rate. The hotel clerk (Jerica) assured us we would be taken care of and that we were… the clerk on duty (Jamila) was patient and helpful at 5 o’clock in the morning. Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was hot, fresh, and good. Later that day we had many family members wanting to visit with our family so the manager (Pamela and Audrey) provided us with a small meeting room on the same floor as our rooms for us to entertain those family members. We have all agreed we will stay nowhere else ever again. The Holiday Inn staff was professional, helpful and friendly. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience during a rough time. Newer hotel with complimentary breakfast and extremely helpful and friendly staff! We stayed here in February and winter storm cut our stay short. The staff offered to help scrap the ice off my car so I could get on the road before the weather got worse!

Not the best location. Workout room didn't have any weights. Seemed a little older. Otherwise, it was fine.

As always a nice clean and quiet place to stay. Staff was very nice.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! I had an uninvited guest show up and harass me. Pamela, the general manager, kicked me and my family out. She was so unprofessional. She told one of my family members waiting quietly and patiently in the lobby he neeed to leave! What? What kind of guest service is this? I am a hotel employee and have been for 10 years. I first of all would never approach someone not on a reservation, you should professionally talk to the guest on the room. Then she told me I was smoking in the room, ummm ma’am. First of all I am a hotel employee and know the consequences of smoking in a hotel. Next, the officer that escorted me to the room, said it absolutely does NOT smell like smoke. Third, check you cameras Pamela, every person from my room went out front to smoke. So not only did you kick me out when I was being harrsssd but you are going to lie? As I work for a holiday inn property, I know the strive for exceptional customer service, I provide this every songle shift I work, and then come to a property such as this, makes me sick and not want to work for such a company, but the totally awesome thing is, is that my General Manager at my property would never EVER treat a guest this way. She should have come to talk to me and we could prolly have decided to call the cops together.

The staff is delightful! The pool is warm. The breakfast is great (even had turkey sausage! ). This is a well run hotel! Clean, Fast, and Friendly!

The hotel and staff were great. The pool was ok, just not as warm as we hoped. The breakfast has something for everyone, but the hot items were not that great. W also had some issues work out key cards a couple of times. Would recommend this place overall.

Stayed here a second time not very good here anymore. Cleanliness 2 stars rooms 3 stars no hot water 1/2 star. Discount for no hot water 0 stars. Car breakins in parking lot No security.

Hotel was a good value. The beds were just okay as I didn't have the best night's sleep but still decent. Breakfast was pretty good too.

Stayed after a Chiefs game. Staff was friendly and room was nice and clean. Hot breakfast was nice the next morning. Only negative was that the TV didn't work but we got in so late it didn't matter.

Great stay! Friendly, helpful staff. There was a problem with our reservation, but the manager quickly resolved it and we got a better room at a discount.

We were there for 2 nights but didn't spend that much time at the hotel. Got in late each night and was up early the next morning. The breakfast was nice as was the location. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

The staff at holiday Inn express was very nice. The room was clean and we had a overall good experience with this stay. Thanks holiday inn express. We'll be staying with you again next time!

The staff was phenomenal have no complaints around the service they provided. The only issue is that I kept having a hard time breathing in the room, I would get incredibly stuffed up each time I entered the room. I opened the curtains, and there was a significant amount of water damage at the top of the window. The only other issue was the air-conditioner did not seem to work properly. It was set at 70 but it was still uncomfortable and would wake up sweating. Tried turning the unit does to 68, then 65 and still the same issue.

Front desk staff were pleasant and the motel appeared to be clean throughout the building. Grandkids enjoyed the pool which appeared to be clean and well-maintained. The only issues I had were that the pancake machine wasn't working at breakfast and my grandkids were counting on pancakes. In our room, the refrigerator was missing all of the shelves so it was difficult to put food inside, also the bathroom door wouldn't lock. It appeared that part of the door had been pulled away from the wall. We've stayed here several times because it is a nice place to stay while visiting family in the area.

Great group of people. Our ac went out in our house. We have a 5 day old and 3yr old baby. They were more than accommodating to us. Thank you for a wonderful stay and hope our baby didn't fuss to much for our neighbors.

Stayed 4 nights for a seminar at Labconco, less than 10 minute drive. Staff at the Holiday Inn Express was excellent, very friendly and made some wonderful suggestions to were to eat each night. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable, very quite between the rooms and endless hot water for my morning showers. Free Breakfast was good too. Price for the room was reasonable and I look forward to staying at another Holiday Inn Express again.

Huge rooms and the front desk was helpful with whatever we needed. Had a microwave and refrigerator, which came in handy.

If I could give this POOR excuse for a hotel a minus 1 I would! They are racist and thieves! I am not understanding how you don't accept "certain" types of debit cards but you have NO problem completing the transaction online. In addition to calling to confirm reservations. Only to arrive and be informed that you guys don't accept this card. I will NEVER stay at the holiday inn. You mean to tell me that the Marriott will accept my card but poor little holiday inn won't. It was never about the card.

I made a reservation to stay at the hotel on 2/25/. So that my husband, my 7 month old and myself could have a decent night's sleep on after my son had surgery. I get to the hotel the front desk clerk ask for my ID in my card. I present them both and I'm told by the front desk clerk that they do not take my card. Okay I can understand that but I can't understand why she jumped back as if there was something wrong with me and my card. I proceeded to tell her that Holiday Inn has already made a transaction with my card. So the front desk clerk goes to get her manager. The manager looks at the card and says well if we take this card then we'll have to add an additional deposit for incidentals which is $200. I tell the front desk manager that's fine. Then she looks at me and says it won't go back onto your card for 2 to 4 weeks. I look back at her and say that's fine. Now my card is in my maiden name my new drivers license is in my married name I also presented the manager with my ID my drivers license that has my maiden name on it. She didn't tells me no we can't take it you can't stay here my paycheck is on the line. This was the worst I have ever been treated in my life I will never stay at another Holiday Inn it's funny how. The Downtown Marriott can take my card but the Holiday Inn Express can not I find that crappy.

The front desk manager pamela is the best.

For the most part our stay was okay. Our room was really big, which was nice. It was clean. But I choose this hotel based on a few things: pool/hot tub, free breakfast, free parking, and free Wi-Fi. I'm pretty sure the website said there was a hot tub. Well, there was not. Also, every single time we went to our room, we had to go get a new key card. They worked once, and never again. That was pretty annoying. The hotel was right off the highway and the exit ramp to the hotel was a pain in the ass. Lastly, our view sucked. Outside our window was a shit pond and an abandoned semi truck trailor. Room service sucked. We called and asked for more towels and an hour later, I finally went down to ask for them.
