We really had a bad experience here, resulting in checking out of the hotel hours after checking in (which took 20-30 minutes). The rooms were very dirty and things did not work. There was a huge red stain on the floor upon walking in and what appeared to be blood on the lamp shade. I attempted to charge my phone in 4 different outlets, none of which worked. When I did find one that worked, the table I set my phone on was covered in dust. There were stains on the bed's dust ruffle and comforter. The bathroom was not much better. It was tiny and could not even close the door without maneuvering your body into a corner out of the way. The shower curtain had mold all over the bottom of it. We attempted the 'water park' briefly as this was a disappointment too. Attractions were closed, water was murky, could taste salt after coming out of the water, and the teenage staff had no interest in talking or responding to questions for assistance or managing the overcrowded out of control patrons. As we were walking down to the pool area a staff member saw my 4 year old son with us and simply said, 'he looks bad'. I have no idea what it was in reference to or why she even thought it was appropriate to say. Luckily we were only 200 miles from home and it was still early enough for us to leave and not drive through the night. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone that cares about cleanliness and customer service. I imagine the proximity to Kauffman Stadium and Arrowhead Stadium are what keep this place open. Google makes you select as least one star to post a review, so this 1 star is just a formality. Forgot to mention the elevators took FOREVER, with people often choosing just to walk flights of stairs. A staff member also commented on how slow they were operating. Also at check-in there was a child driving in a large electric Power-Wheels type car in the crowded lobby, honking it's horn and making people move. This should have been our first clue about the lack of care and interest the staff puts into this facility and their jobs.
