Review of Sunflower Resort 4*

The resort in the name is a joke! They offer a view of the lake, docks, a small playground and limited cable (on a TV almost too small to watch it). The view of the lake is beautiful but I don't feel it was worth the price and the issues we had to deal with there. I feel like I was lied to on the phone when asking questions about the room and the place in general, I really feel I was miss lead. I wasn't able to see anymore then what pictures were offered on the website due to living 3 hours away. We thought we were getting a room that had a bedroom in it and it turned out to be just one big room, we found out at check out that there was a room like that and it was open And we move 3 different times due to the strong smell of bleach and mildew in the first 2 rooms we were shown. Our room flooded by the front door when it rained (big or small). You get a 4 top stove, a toaster and coffee maker in the basic rooms and a full kitchen in the suite. Our bathroom in the basic room was a shower stall like at your local pool but in the suite you get a full bathroom with tub. I was told no pets but then told that there was one room for people with pets, I saw more then one guest with pets. No golf carts but they use one. And it would have been nice to know beforehand that there are to be no firework shot off on the property since it was 4th of July weekend. They have a lot of hidden fees too, for day guest (each), using the docks and a bunch of other stuff. Over all if you just need a roof over your head its ok, but that's about it. Only reason its getting 2 stars is the view of the lake.
