Nothing fancy but extremely comfortable and friendly.

This place sucks poor management sorry customer service and failed there inspections everything is breaking broken and falling apart don’t waste your money or your time.

This is a wonderful place to stay while in Columbus.

Ladies that serve breakfast are very attentive, polite, outgoing and just awesome! Beautiful personality.

Have no elevator, very hard to get luggage and self up stairs. Very disappointed for a courtyard by marriott.

Very good location if you are going to Fort Benning. Very helpful and courteous staff. Love the new soap, shampoo, and conditioner pump dispensers in the shower.

Just witnessed a General Manager handle a customer that you just couldn't make happy. Even though it was something that Corporate would have to change, she handled it professionally and with so much grace. Kudos to you Ericka. You and your staff are so sweet and professional. The place is nice. It's clean and what you would expect. My low rating comes from the horrible experience I had with the front desk. I accidentally left a pair of keys in the room by the TV. On the way back to retrieve them, When we called to let them know, the lady said she would check the room and she then just transferred our call without telling us to another line that never picked up! It gets worse, my wife called back when no one answered, and the front desk just said "ok" and transferred the call again. I'm assuming to the housekeeping office. When we walked in, that same person immediatly told my wife "no she didn't find anything". Then when we asked to speak to housekeeping she said they went home. There was ZERO effort to help us communicate or try to solve the problem. It was disgraceful to anyone who knows what being the face of a hotel is all about. There was no urgency or even signs of empathy. Please enjoy your stay there, but watch your back around the front desk staff…

Absolutely best staff! Was there for my boyfriends Ranger School visitation and the young ladies that were there were amazing and more than helpful. Young man that was there also went out of his way to help me find things and provide best service. After driving from NC, these happy faces were such a treat. Definitely will be coming back!

Didn't stay long but everything was great including the room and the friendly staff. Ate breakfast at the cafe and that was a good experience as well.

This was a horrible experience no stars, give me one price in reservation charge another price when I got to the hotel … NO ELEVATOR the bathtub was dirty … ceiling had been leaking HOT WATER ran out while taking a shower no shampoo or conditioner empty containers in shower… big roach on the bathroom floor… refrigerator was dirty and it had a beer in it… I dont drink … spoke with Walter he said there's nothing he can do about it …

We were greeted beautifully. The staff were all lovely. The room was great! We were given an accessible room what was huge. The beds were comfortable. The water temp in the shower kept fluctuating which was challenging. This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel. I will definitely return next year.

I love everything about this hotel! I booked a room last minute online and the gal at the front desk gladly checked me in when I arrived. The hotel itself is very beautiful and feels extra fancy. The whole place is very clean and I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know in the Columbus area!

Have stayed here a few times for business and have never had any major issues. Nothing that stood out to make it 5 star worthy but it was a nice clean room and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Very nice and clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Nice decor, but A boring unenthusiastic, no personality clerk at front desk. And No free breakfast you do have to pay $6 or more for breakfast. Otherwise overall good hotel. I recommend it highly.

Aside from the rooms not being real clean, the hotel property is well maintained. This is the last good thing I can say about the hotel. We stayed here over father day weekend. On Friday evening my sons pet ball python escaped its enclosure. The hotel is not a pet friendly hotel. I did look for the pet policy before staying but couldn't find it until after referring to the Marriott corporate website for instructions on finding the properties pet policy. The hotel staff found the snake in the hallway and easily captured it. They placed the snake in a box and then placed the box in a plastic bag and set it outside. The next morning when we discovered the missing pet we asked if any pets had been reported found. Almost 2 hours later the assistant manager approached me to tell me what they'd done. At that time she explained the snake had escaped the box and sealed bag they'd placed him in and left outside for over 8 hours. The manager could not show me the box or bag the snake had been in. Giving her the benefit of the doubt I asked where the animal had been placed overnight. She told me the area was a landscaped area in the rear of the hotel. I spent the next two hours looking for the snake. I learned the next day the animal had never been at the back of the hotel but had been placed near the dumpsters at the front of the hotel. My entire family spent over an hour that evening looking for an animal that had never been there.

Had a great time, will be back. Swimming pool check clean room clean bathroom great time.

The service was great until 50 people showed up in one room and overtook the common spaces — the pool and courtyard area — for a birthday party for a 10 year old. There were multiple complaints made to management but they said that all of the "50" were staying in multiple rooms. For an hour I sat there and watched all these people pile into one room and come out to the pool and have a great birthday party celebration. They had a birthday table by the pool and tied their balloons to the pool fence, allowed their kids to climb over the walls, play on the handicap equipment that goes in and out of the pool, the parents brought bottle beers to the pool and all the meanwhile running off all the other guest of the hotel because they were obnoxiously loud and having a grand pool party at the expense of the other guest. I really don't care if the hotel rents out 1 or 5 rooms for someone to have a birthday party and use all the common spaces but you should at least notify the rest of the guests who think they are getting a peaceful night away, poolside, to enjoy a little time away from their weekly chaotic life for what they think is a relaxing night away. Or make that party pay for your hotel for the night because they used your "whole" hotel last night. And when you say you have so many guests also calling to complain, why did no one come out to the party to ask them to get their party under control?

I loved this new hotel! The rooms are sleek and modern! The staff are extremely nice! I enjoyed my stay! If I were ever back in the area I would stay here again!

If you are staying in Columbus Georgia this Marriott is a very nice treat and it is clean it has the bistro and for this area I have not found nicer folks who want to make sure that your stay is satisfactory.

Great stay. Staff was friendly and accommodating with a wealth of knowledge about the area. We stayed on a visit to Mississippi State, which was just 30 minutes away. Rooms and common areas were clean and pretty. A great stay. Only downside was no continental breakfast.

They kicked us out of our rooms after booking. There were 19 teenagers going to a conference going through the hassle of moving all of our stuff at 11:30 p. M.

Great place. Very clean. The lady that checked us in was nice and even helped us get a discount after asking about it. The only odd thing was the key for the room kept messing up but not a big deal. They said most likely it was to close to a cellphone.

Hotel was easy to find with plenty of parking. Rooms are clean, the bed was amazingly comfortable! I sleep on a Tempurpedic at home and am hard to please and will now be considering the Courtyard chain based on the bed alone. I love the layout of the room. Feels less like a hotel and more like a very small studio apartment. Property is well lit. My only complaint is the in-room lighting could either be brighter or laid out better. You have to turn on all lights to get the room bright enough. I did like the reading lights attached to the bedside lights. There is no signage but they do offer incidentals like toothpaste and toothbrushes for no charge — just ask the front desk. There was a mix-up when I checked in, I was told my company received a breakfast voucher but when I stopped by in the morning the woman said the other person confused companies but she was giving me a voucher anyway, which was a nice surprise. The restaurant does seem overpriced. The in-room coffee is better than the Starbucks they sell at the Bistro.

One of the most comfortable hotel beds I've stayed in in a while. The rooms and common spaces are clean, and the staff is friendly. There is a cafe open from 7 to 9:30 in the morning and again in the evening for drinks and cocktails. There is also a pool and hot tub, so bring your swim suit. Overall, enjoyable stay.

Wonderful staff and room! The building and surrounding property is newly built so, take advantage and book this place if you're passing through! The price was very reasonable and the hotel and rooms are chic and new. The only downside was something they truly cannot help: Unusually large bugs outside of the property. However, hey, that's Mississippi in the fall ;)

The rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff very friendly and helpful. Down side… no elevators.

The room was nice but the bed was hard as a rock. Everything was a bit dated. I was fine with everything until I woke up to loud gospel music first thing in the morning. I was put in a room just above where they have a church service Sunday mornings.

While it's updated for a VERY old Courtyard, and overall is fairly nice (great lobby, rooms are up to date), it suffers from some problems of older hotels. You can hear quite easily conversations in the room next door, and there is no elevator to the second floor. Also had the least comfortable pillows I've ever experienced, they were tiny in size (roughly throw pillow sized), and while extremely fluffy would compress down until it felt as if you had your head on a ball of wadded up fabric. Great location, love the internal courtyard with pool, and staff was friendly and helpful.

Not a bad hotel. The hotel staff was awesome. I did keep seeing extremely small ants around the sink area. It was never multiple at the same time. Only maybe 1 a day or 2 a day. Not sure where they were coming in from exactly. Possibly the sink. It wasn't unbearable.

The courtyard was easy to find and easy to get to. Plenty of parking and very stylish exterior. Once inside it is very well laid out. One place was like a small sports bar while another had laid back calm quiet feel. And the staff where awesome. The only complaint I had was $3.00 was a little much for a gold member to pay for a Coke. Over all I would stay again and refer to friends.

The staff was really nice and helpful. The pool area was nice and clean, other than that not, much positive to say about this place. I killed a roach in our room on the last night here. The TV in our room kept loosing signal. The rooms got extremely hot because there were occupancy sensors on the thermostats and the A/C unit would cut off every 10 minutes or so. Our room looks like the roof leaks and is about to fall in. I have stayed in way nicer hotels the cost less than here.

The hotel is very nice. Our room was very comfortable. It was a little understaffed. Our biggest reason for staying at the Marriott, after consulting the website, was that breakfast was included. It was offered, but it was NOT FREE. The hotel lobby contained a nice Bistro, but they did not even offer free coffee. It was Starbucks. After a long trip, this was disappointing.

The Courtyard Columbus is a nice, clean hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is located within walking distance of a few restaurants.

Well, the conditioned air made a lot of noise.

Check-in was pleasent and received a nice size too, but the rooms are patched up and half clean, checked in with no wash clothes & half tissue roll. Pool & hot tub was dirty. Spoke to GM and she had a VERY FAKE apologetic attitude. Apparently, she didn't realize I stay in Marriott's at least 200+ nights a year. First & last time staying at this property… maybe I'll give another hotel chain a try. This hotel didn't meet my expectations.

Very new hotel, nice rooms and lobby. The location is about as good as it gets in Columbus, there are closer options to the base though. Overall, one of the better Courtyards out there.

This is one of my go to places here in Columbus to take my wife when we want to get away without actually getting away. The hotel is great and staff are friendly. But I have to give a shout out to the young lady serving food and lattes at the Bistro this morning. She was extremely efficient and conscientious of her customers' time. She appeared to worry about it almost to a fault. But I want to assure the Courtyard management that she was fantastic.

There has been alot of updates since all of the comments listed from 2007 etc. They have a bar as well as a Bristo with Breakfast and dinner. The food was great! They even have a starbucks. They have a huge flat screen called the go board that is a touch screen and you search for local restaurants, shopping, churches etc. The rooms have also been renovated/updated. The gym worked out fine for me. They have the usual things any hotel does and they had 3 treadmills not just 2 like other hotels and they also have free weight. The best thing was it did not smell like a gym. They are in waling distance of the mall and a movie theater. Columbus State University was within walking distance and very convenient to Fort Benning which is the reason I have to come to Columbus is because of work at Fort Benning. Before you make a decision not to stay there due to very old reviews I would recommend you go to their web site. I was certainly stay at the Coutyard anytime that I am in the Columbus area.

Brand new and great decor. Has everything a traveler needs. Clean and very nice. Helpful staff. Free Wi-Fi. Nice business center computer set up with printer. Airline check in station printer. Made to order breakfast avail. Directv, small workout room, jacuzzi.

The hotel itself is clean and seems to be well-maintained. However, lower-quality room appointments, small pool, and no free breakfast put this hotel a clear notch below the local competition, which is too bad because the courtyard concept could have been a great selling point if the rest of the hotel was better finished.

I stayed here because the Marriott downtown Columbus, THE hotel in the area, was full the weekend I needed to be in Columbus, so I was referred here. I was very disappointed to find there was no full service bar or restaurant, only a breakfast bar in the mornings (and NOT free! ). The closest there is to a lounge was a TV area, though I liked the small pool and whirlpool, and I appreciated the free e-mail/internet access in the lobby with free printers. NO Wi-Fi anywhere. There were no other business center amenities, and the 'health club' is a joke. There was no gift shop, though a mini-store controlled by the front desk is somewhat helpful. In addition, there is no elevator to get to the second floor, and I had to beg to be on the first — even though I had to suffer with just one king size bed. The design of the place is that of a glorified motor lodge, and all the first floor rooms can be accessed through sliding glass doors — great when you need to load your luggage into the vehicle (or go the pool, if room on inside), but BAD for security! I prefer hotels in which all must pass by the front desk before going to rooms. Cleanliness was above average, and there is a place for a refrigerator/mini-bar in each room, but the cubby hole was empty — — front desk will have a mini-fridge brought in upon request. HVAC was good — and controls responsive — though opening of glass door (the only way to open window for fresh air) would have been a security risk!.
