I was at the comfort suites for my sisters softball tournament and the whole team stayed here in different rooms. There was many different things that made this stay horrible for the whole team. One thing is the front desk male that was there. He was extremely rude to the coaches and us. It took us 30min to get into are room, because the room that we were supposed to be in wasn’t cleaned at all. They gave the wrong key card to one of are teammates and they went into someone else’s room. The bathrooms were filthy and I didn’t even want to take a shower. Are teammates mom found dried blood on her pillow and are other teammates and a live mouse running around their room. The saddest thing for the girls is that after a hot day they wanted to swim in the pool but we found out it’s been closed for over a year. Worst Hotel Ever!

HORRIBLE stay! I've stayed at many choice hotels in the past and they have been great affordable places, but this one was terrible! The room they put me in had broken glass on the floor, along with many food crumbs and whole what looked to be Cheetos. There was also urine stains and hair all over the bathroom! If this wasn't enough there was mold in the bathroom in the shower. I went to the front desk to complain and the front desk employee was very nice and apologetic for the experience. She went to go ask her general manager what to do. I heard them arguing, he screamed at her and said that I was making it up and that he'd check on it later. Never came out to talk to me! The front desk employee gave me a new room. This new room didn't have mold or broken glass, but still had a bunch of food particles all over the floor! The next day I asked to speak with the manager again to see if they checkout the first room and the manager again refused to speak with me but made the front desk employee take down my name and number so he could call me later, I still haven't received a call 1 week later! Never stay here!

Breakfast is bad: no healthy options and it’s not kept clean. Hot foods aren’t hot. The front desk guy never smiled and was unpleasant to deal with when we checked in. We come to Stevens Point fairly often. Edit: The owner's response doesn't describe our experience when we stayed at this hotel. No eggs, no oatmeal, no sausage, no yogurt. We won't be going back.

Came into the room and unfolded the sofa bed and found cracker crumbs all over the bed. My son almost picked up a piece of gum that was left on the floor and almost ate it. There are stains on the furniture all over the room. The bed sheets have a weird smell. The carpet hasn't been cleaned in I don't know how long. Note that I paid almost $100 for a suite, which is supposed to be one of their best rooms. Lastly, their employees are just straight up lazy. Went over to their morning breakfast and my son wanted to eat cereal but didn't have any milk. There were five employees just sitting there and no one offered to help. Awful experience overall. You are better off paying an extra $20 over at Baymont which is right in front of them to get a better experience. Don't ever stay here.

Breakfast was bad. Pool area is still not complete. Wi-Fi is poor at best (even for something as simple as emails). This place use to be a lot better but has since gone way down hill. The front desk girl was very helpful for checkout.

I generally do not write reviews, but in this case I want to share my horrible experience. First off we booked on the premises of utilizing the pool as well as having breakfast in the morning before our trip back home. When we got there, we learned that the pool was closed for maintenance. When we confronted them, they said it was not their issue as that should have been posted on the 3rd Party website we utilized to book through. We advised them that the 3rd party did not disclose that and once again they said it was not their issue. 2ndly, in the morning we went down to the Lobby to get breakfast around 7am. There was nothing out except for the items they had out the night before (hard muffins, bagels, bread). I went to the front desk and said one again that we booked on the premise that they were going to have breakfast. The guy at the front counter whom seem to be the cleaning personnel said they were aware and that their cook had not shown up. I advised him that I wanted to be confiscated for the two inconveniences. Provided him my room # and told him to do what he needed to do and let me know by the time I check out what they were going to do for us. 9am finally rolled by and it turned out they called the manager in to cook. The whole time the manager was cooking, we could hear him from the back complaining and yelling at his co-workers and how he was going to fire people. Very unprofessional. Non the less they had breakfast out by 9 and served it until 10am.

Location is convenient, rooms are comfortable, and the service is quick.

Stayed there recently, upon arrival my 3 coworkers and I checked in for the week. Our boss takes care of our hotel arrangements so I just needed to give them my card for the damage deposit. They charged 2 rooms to my card without saying anything or giving a receipt. I didn’t find out until 3 weeks later. Called and spoke to a lady who tried to help but didn’t really know what to do, she kept putting the phone down to talk to her manager (a guy named Jason) who was a completely rude about everything and didn’t offer any assistance. I called again the next day to try and sort it out (got that Jason) and he argued with me, and hung up on me after a few minutes. Ultimately it was sorted out by my boss, but the lack of customer service and general bad attitude and rudeness to me was unacceptable. The hotel itself was mediocre, the pool was closed, the breakfast was serverly lacking, the gentleman who was running the breakfast thought it better to play on his phone in the dining area instead of keep up with the food etc. I cannot give a recommendation for this place whatsoever. You would be better off going across the street to the country inn or down the road to the cobblestone, both of which I stayed in after this place and were completely satisfactory.

Jason was amazing this past weekend during the snow storm and 8th grade basketball tournament. He and Megan did an amazing job accomodating guests and making the stay comfortable. Great staff!

Avoid at all costs! Virtual tour touts pool and hot tub but both are under construction and they don't tell you that when you call for reservations. There is one ice machine in the WHOLE building and it does not work. The Wi-Fi is so slow my phone wouldn't even allow me to connect to the internet. NOT what I would expect for a $150 a night.

Never actually stayed over night. I booked my room with an online service, the online service never made me aware that the hotels pool area was under renovation. The online service was still going to charge me a cancellation fee equal to one night stay. Not only did the manager straighten it out out so I got my full refund, but also called around and found me another hotel that had a functional pool area that had openings. The staff and manager went above and beyond. Next trip to Stevens Point WI I will be staying there for sure. Highly recommended this establishment!

It was not good. It was falling apart and the storage closet wasn't locked or labeled "Do Not Enter". You can walk in. I learned the hard way. They also screwed up our rooms. We were supposed to be right next to one another but we were 6 rooms down. Finally the pool was closed. It was supposed to be open but it was under construction. All in all I don't recommend this place.

We booked a non-refundable room through a travel website and were excited about the pool and great rate. 2 days before our reservation we noticed bad reviews stating that the pool has been closed for over a year. Knowing this we contacted the hotel and they confirmed that it was down and would not be open. I contacted the travel website via phone and told them my concern about this non-refundable reservation and the information listed about the website was incorrect. They contacted the hotel to see if we could get our reservation refunded and the front desk person said they would refund us our money and waive an additional fee for canceling. Weeks after the reservation was canceled I received no refund. I contacted the hotel twice, the first time they left a note for the GM, Jason. The other time they forwarded me directly to the GM's voicemail to leave a message. Neither of those times did I hear one response from the hotel management. I called back the travel website and they reviewed the recording of the desk clerk at the hotel saying that they would refund me my money. The GM said that the clerk did not have authorization to offer a refund to me, and he was not going to honor it. I cannot believe how bad management is at this hotel, I will make sure never to stay at a Comfort Suites ever again. I will be cross posting this review so others can see how potential customers will be treated.

Nice clean spacious room. Office chair in room was a bit worn down. Bed was comfortable. Would stay again.

Stayed at the Comfort Suites in Stevens Point and liked the room. The hotel was under some renovations but the room and service was excellent. Their breakfast had more choices than expected and the location was perfect for us. Would stay there again.

Run down facility. No disclosure of out of order pool anywhere! Will not return. New manager Jason responds to reviews stating they are under reno, but that is the same cookie cutter response from over 1 year ago and still the pool is down. Place is falling apart. No saving it now, especially with mold issues according to the city and media.

Overall, it's a pretty basic hotel. Pool has been down for a year now, and they're going through a massive renovation. Good for the price. Hotel was super accommodating with letting us switch hotels.

Booked two rooms via phone. Confirmed rooms the night before. Did not find out until we called down to the desk that the pool was closed. Manager kept making the excuse that it was stated on the website. Not true. Found out after our stay that if you booked online, there was information about the pool. Since the rooms were booked over the phone, that is not a valid excuse for not telling us. Would have never booked this hotel had we known upfront because we had kids along that were looking forward to pool time. Found out the next morning that we should have been offered the opportunity to go to the local YMCA to swim for free. The manager never told us that. We sat with disappointed kids all night. One room that we got had a whirlpool tub. The jets did not work. Hotel staff/Manager said it was weight sensitive. Not true. An adult got in and nothing happened. There was not even a button to push to make it work. Ice machines were nonfunctional on floors 3 and 2. No one was at the desk when we checked in. Manager was very antagonistic the next morning while we were trying to sort through things. Asked for a discount and we got maybe $10 off for our two rooms. A truly awful experience at this location. Very disappointed kids. Giving it one start for the rooms and one hotel staff worker who was actually kind to us. The sad part of this all is that had we been told that going to the YMCA was an option, our experience would have been so much more positive.

The phrase among our friends during our stay was "it's not terrible". The service was OK. Our friends room had temperature issues and the bath tub was clogged. Our room had temperature issues and mold in the bathroom. It looks like they're slowly remodeling/repairing things but hard to tell over a weekend. Typical Choice hotel breakfast. On the plus side reasonably priced.

I was visiting a friend from out of state. She had a nice suite and we could visit and not be confined to the bed. The room was split up like regular living quarters. There was a couch, chair & coffee table. It was perfect for us to catch up long into the nite!

I hate to say it, but I was disappointed in the room. We got a king with a whirlpool for our anniversary weekend, and while there was a king bed and a seating area and technically a whirlpool, the room itself was very narrow, the area around the bed felt cramped, and the whirlpool was really more of a double wide bathtub with jets, and was located in the bathroom. Technically correct as advertised, but not in the least what I had in mind, or even slightly inviting. That, in conjunction with the actual hotel pool being closed for maintenance, did lead us to switch hotels, we did not stay the night. However, the woman at the front desk was more than accommodating, was very understanding and helpful, and helped us quickly and in a very friendly manner. The hotel itself seemed nice for a stay, just for this special occasion it did not meet our expectations.

Our room was clean comfortable and huge. Breakfast was much better than the usual. And the breakfast room was clean and very roomy. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

This is a clean Comfort Suites. I am deducting a star from the review due to the long initial process of checking in for an available room. I was given a key card to a room on the 3rd floor that was still occupied — door was ajar. I went back down to the front desk, and had to get the next available room. Room itself was clean with cool AC considering warm weather. Breakfast was good, the same as what I experienced when I visited this same hotel in February of this year. Overall, I would likely return in the future.

The staff in general was very friendly. The gentlemen preparing breakfast was nice, caring and hard working. I do unfortunately have some significant complaints. The desk crew often would go out back near a wood patio to smoke. Upon needing service once there was a sign stating they were assisting other hotel guests. I knew the routine and tracked them down finding they were attempting to keep an eye on the desk from their outside smoking area. They would take another few puffs when they spotted someone at the desk rather than immediately returning. The cleanliness of the room was suspect. We often found hairs in the bathroom following the cleaning, including upon arrival. Once we received no new shampoo bottle and one night the shower floor mat/towel was not provided. On one occasion upon returning around 4:30 the room was still not cleaned. We left and they did it while we were out between 5-7 pm. Our bed spread had a few stains self-inflicted by my kids with sports drink early in our stay and housekeeping never changed it the entire 6 nights we were there despite the obvious blemish. Common area trash cans were often full, including one just outside the main entrance where I found it overflowing with the lid off when we returned back one day. Lastly for housekeeping, they don't wear any uniforms, not even a simple company t-shirt. It was fully casual shorts and shirts of their choosing it appeared.

We spent a week at the Comfort Suites in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, while attending a Suzuki institute. It was clean, comfortable and priced within our budget. The staff and breakfasts were both wonderful. I love going somewhere to stay that has no bad surprises. We highly recommend this hotel.

We did not make reservations so by the time we got there, there were only two rooms available. We got a room with two full size beds and a pull-out couch. I thought the room was very nice. It was clean the bed was comfortable, the comforter was warm and fluffy and the pillows we're awesome. There were plenty of towels in the room and the bathroom was clean. I had requested 4 extra pillows and the staff immediately brought them to my room. I was very disappointed that when we requested bed linens for the pull-out couch we were told that there were none available, so our kids ended up sleeping with one of the sheets from the full size bed. We were there on a busy Saturday evening and there were many children in the pool but it was nice and the hot tub was nice. Breakfast the next morning was great. I will definitely stay there when I go up to Stevens Point again but I will ask for bed linens early.

Excellent place to stay. Super friendly staff, easy check on/out process. Pool, breakfast, free Wi-Fi that's decent all at a decent price.

Average hotel, nothing amazing. Fairly clean. Reccomend 3rd floor as above guests can be noisy.

Nice rooms, clean and quite. Nice pool, and hot tub. Small fitness area but it got the job done.

We had a nice looking room. The bed was very comfortable. I liked suite style room with the couch area.

The comforter for the beds are not soft and it had stains on it. The bathroom was not clean. The whirlpool tub was clearly not cleaned and there was a ring around the tub and gross residue/stuff floating in the water when the tub was filled. I bought a water bottle and candy bar and when I went to the front desk to pay the guy didn't say a single word to me, and that's his job-to greet customers. You call that customer service? And they took breakfast down super early when most hotels have it out till 10/1030. Also, the king sized suite isn't anything special. It's overpriced. Very disappointed with our stay.

Clean comfortable rooms. Beds are very comfy. Breakfast is OK. Decent prices. Good staff. Walls are thin and you can hear the TV from the other room.

This hotel is absolutely amazing, for such a small town. The value is outstanding for what you pay. The staff is so friendly, the rooms are very spacious and clean, the pool area is very nice and the breakfast is very delicious. I recommend this to my friends every time now.
