You see. Run don't stop and you think. Well maybe it isn't that bad. IT IS! We were booked to spend 4 nights. Within 10 min in our room I was calling and trying to find another place. Cracks, dirty floors, mold in bathrooms. I even talked to another local hotel who despite not being able to accommodate our family have us other options and apologized immediately when I told her where we had booked. R. U. N.

This super 8 is by far the best one that I've stayed at. Very clean, friendly staff, soft beds. Serves free breakfast in the morning from 6am-10am I believe. I had breakfast that was better than most cafes I've eaten at. 2 different kinds of cereal, white and wheat bread for toast, butter, jams, peanut butter, oatmeal, yogurt, waffles in small and large sizes that u can make, bananas, cinnamon rolls are all the things u can choose for breakfast. They have 3 different flavors of coffee, milk, orange juice, Apple juice, hot cocoa, green tea, Lipton tea and a couple other teas. The best part is they are inexpensive. Worth the money. Would recommend everyone.

Our stay at this hotel was acceptable. The staff was friendly. The hotel itself is a bit dated and could use a bit of TLC, but the rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. All in all I would stay there again if we were in town for a visit.

I stayed first time in super 8 with my husband. My husband is working in Rice lake so I came to visit him on his birthday. This is nicest super 8 ever with fair price. My husband got some workers discounts which is really we can say discount as compared to other hotels price. I had an awesome sort time in hotel. I will definitely visit soon.

I stayed at this motel as it was on my way through Wisconsin was easy to get in to with Truck and Reasonably priced. It's older style building but that doesn't make it a bad place the check in person was very nice and checked with me when I came back out of room to get items out of my truck There are several Restaurants close by a really good Family Restaurant in same parking lot. The Room was very clean and Comfortable if in area I will stay again Some of the Super 8, s I've stayed in should take notes from this one Breakfast was sufficient wasn't expecting Steak and Eggs.

Bathtub drain was plugged, they fixed. Not the most modern place. Chose this place for two reasons : Proximity to my reason for visiting Rice Lake, and I was only staying two nights. The Cobblestone in Barron is a much better place! MUCH!

My first time staying here and I must say I'm impressed. For only $69 tax included I was given a nice double bed room. It's was fairly clean and had a nice recently updated room. Continental style breakfast is also included. Staff was amazing and very helpful. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

We arrived on a friday evening and were welcomed and assisted in answering our questions of where to eat that evening. The room was clean, the lodging quiet, the staff helpful. Breakfast was nice with bunch of varieties, Specially I enjoyed cinnamon rolls. It was well stocked and clean. We would stop again as this was a half way mark to our destination.

We were in town for a reunion. Simply needed a quiet, clean, comfortable place to sleep and eat a simple breakfast. Super 8 provided all this plus the staff were friendly and efficient and the bed among the best motel bed we have ever slept in.

Excellent accommodation. Clean, new, comfortable room. Breakfast great and well stocked. Location is right in the middle of town, nice. Breakfast was included and typical. Rooms were clean and well sized. Adjacent restaurant at lodge next door was great for lunch or dinner. Im satisfied, I'd definitely choose this Super 8 again after this experience.

Beating on door 30 minutes before 11 am. I got here at 1:45 this morning. Slide locks have been removed from most of the hotel doors. No hot water in my room. Room itself has been "remodeled" but someone forgot about the bathroom from 1978. Hookers and blow come to mind when I look at this place. Plus, the guy at the front desk barely speaks English. Sorry. This is America jack. We speak English. This isn't a place I want to be. Had to block the door to my room with a chair to make sure no one could walk in on me while I was sleeping.

This Super 8 Motel is a great place to stay. They are a wonderful family that owns and operates this business. Super 8 motel in Ricelake is extra clean and very well maintained. They take the extra step to make sure your very comfortable and your privacy is guaranteed. They have a wonderful breakfast bar in which you leave the motel nice and full. Make your own waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals fresh Orange or Apple juice. The coffee is also amazing. This motel has everything around there to do. If you just want to get away for a weekend or even a week of fishing or hunting, they offer special discounts all the time. I just asked and they gave me a 20 percent discount for a week. I would highly recommend this establishment.

I stayed here during a snow storm a couple times but this last time they definitely exceeded my expectations. I had to be up early for work so I went out and started my car, and I came back out and they had shoveled a path for me to my car. Thanks for the clean room, and going the extra mile to make a customer happy! I'll definitely keep coming back during these Wisconsin snow storms. Friendly staff and Clean Room. Will come again soon.

Very clean and well appointed room, friendly staff all the restaurant nearby snowmobile trails also close by very affordable and breakfast was pretty good nothing to complaints about this place manager was an amazing with customer service. Would definitely stay again at this hotel.

I've stayed here two years in a row and I would say this stays were great. The building and rooms are well kept and clean. The staff are friendly (Nice Person General Manager). They allow dogs. All for a great price. It's a great hotel. I would recommend super 8 Rice Lake to everyone.

I had a good experience here last week. I arrived late and they had no issue with that, in fact they had the room nice and warm on my arrival. Staff was attentive to my questions and very polite. The room was clean and nicely decorated with expanded cable and a nice flat screen TV. Mini fridge and microwave were included. What I really appreciated is that unlike many hotels, housekeeping did not come knocking on my door before checkout. That seems to be a big problem in some chains and I hate that! Overall my experience here was very good.

Negative 5 stars. Absolutely the worst hotel experience of my life. The room was disgusting and the owner was rude to me from the moment I entered the door. The sheets were very obviously not washed, there were water stains on the ceiling and holes cut out of the sheet rock from other water damage. I even had to scrape boogers off the wall that were dried on. After leaving the hotel, I realized I had left my e-reader in the room. When I returned, the owner held it hostage and told me that he was going to charge me $30 if I didn't return the 2 pillows that I stole. What? I wouldn't take anything from that place if you paid me. He's obviously a scammer looking for any way to get money out of people, all ethics aside. There was no free breakfast, as promised in the headline of their website, and they did end up charging me the money for the "stolen" pillows, which Super 8 customer service said they were unable to refund. What an absolute joke of an establishment.

Could use some maintenance. Better than sleeping in the truck. Breakfast is a bit spartan.

Need to keep up on maintaining the place. Had 2 rooms. One rooms bathroom fan didn't work. The other room the bathroom light didn't work. Also witnessed the double book a room for 2 different guests. I would suggest the American Inn down the road.

Handicapped room only had large bathroom. No walk in shower, bathtub with railings. Toilet was low. No hairdrier. No ironing board. Breakfast consisted of juices, coffee, yogurt, toast, waffles, danish, cold cereal.

Don't book with those thieves. Expedia made a mistake and sent reservation to wrong hotel, with no warning about non-refundable policy of any kind. 30 min after booking those crooks refused to refund the booking. You are better off booking your trip with other hotel with more honest customer service.

Clean and partially remodeled. Only two pilllows 4 would be nice. And didnt honor $10 pet charge as stated over the phone and charged $15 instead.

Tried to cancel my stay there by calling. No one would answer the phone. After 4 times of calling, someone picked then put me on hold for over 6 min. And know one was picking up. SO I called again and it would ring once or twice and not ring anymore. All I am trying to do is Cancel do to family emergency. I will not be staying here in the future. I am still trying to cancel.

Had a big yellow urine stain on the comforter and a nasty dirty microwave door handle. Disgusted to say the least!

The rooms were clean and recently updated. The staff was friendly. The continental breakfast could have had more of a selection, but we enjoyed our stay and the price was right.

Comfortable bed and a clean room but the gap on the top of the door let light in all night.

Wonderful stay, very hospitable staff very helpful and friendly. Clean neat facility wonderful breakfast area that is always well stocked. They make you feel like family. Definitely would recommend this Super 8 and will stay there again.

Overall a very good experience. Room are very clean and staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. The bed where just right for my back. If I'm ever back in rice lake I know I will get a good night.

This hotel advertises as free breakfast and pet friendly. However their "free" breakfast is $10 a person and pet friendly is the farthest from the truth. Whoever was standing next to the front desk when we checked in was pissed off that we even had a dog, confronted us, and said we did not tell the front desk person we had a dog even though we did when we reserved the room. The hallway was very narrow and dark. The hotel in general smelled very bad and was unclean. The first room we were in appeared to have blood on the comforter. Staff said it was nail polish; however, it definitely wasn't. Coming from years of law enforcement experience. We got a second round but honestly I wasn't going to stay there. It was just horrible and disgusting and the staff was really rude. When we went to complain to management who said we couldn't cancel. While we were in the process of that, there was a prostitute in the lobby waiting for her John to show up. We ended up getting our money back and leaving, but what a horrible, horrible experience.

Worst hotel my family has ever stayed at the people did not speak english what so ever. Its smelled terrible. And after we stayed there for a couple of hours we discovered bed bugs in a couple of the beds. Never stay here.

Newly renovated, but the bathroom was dirty, moldy shower curtain. Cheap price, but needs a good cleaning.

My family and I are staying here at super 8 motel this is one of the best and cleanest motels in town… the owner is wonderful and very caring of others not to mention how quiet it is, the staff is outstanding everyone minds thier own business… I would recommend this motel to anyone… im so at home here we dont want to leave…

The staff here are really nice people. The rooms are clean and descent, n ice place to stay when you are on the I-94. This is really work paying for the room. I travel a lot, this is one of favorites motels from now. They helped me figure out all the local stuff and helpful. You have to try this.

I wouldn't even give this hotel one star but it is the lowest rating I can give it. My wife and I booked this hotel on Expedia. 1st We go to check in and we noticed a terrible stench! It was the woman at the front desk. I don't think she had bathed for weeks! 2nd We gave our confirmation number and she could not find it We couldn't understand what she was saying. (Darn it if you want to live and work in this country speak English! ) 3rd We finally get our room. Oh man the room stunk, the bathroom had enough room for 3 toilets but the one it had was right tight to the wall, the shower had no pressure or hot water, it was a ground level room the window didn't lock the screen was ripped wide open. 4th We left the room to grab a bite to eat, the back door was ready to fall out of the frame, the sidewalk was in terrible shape! This building needs to be torn down. I have stayed in hotels all over the world this one rates in the top 3 of the worst.

I come here often, even with the inconvenience of the remodeling the host's are great, accept for the owners son who is now the person who greets you. He is not truthful, I walked in asked for a room I was told to wait until 11am after they cleaned the rooms because they had a full night. I called as I left a woman answered I asked for a room she said that she had one, of course this is one of the people here that are great. I think in my opinion! That this was a case of reverse discrimination.

I've stayed at this super 8 multiple times for work and it had gone downhill in the last year alone. You can barely understand the staff that do speak English and they're rude usually. Lay time I stayed there we had 12 room keys in 2 days because they kept going bad and once I asked a lady who worked there if they had a pool and she directed me to the front desk because she couldn't understand me. She sees and deals with customers everyday and can't answer a simple question. Plus the breakfast sucks.

We stayed at super 8 in rice lake on sept. 12.15. When we booked in and went to our room it was unclean and smelled of cigarette smoke. We were about to go down to the front desk and complain the room was dirty, when a guy came out of the laundry room and said he would get us a key to another room. When he came back he checked the new room and we went in for the night. Not 15 minutes later we heard someone trying to get into our room, it was another person they gave the same room key to for the night. It seemed they had no clue of who was in each room. The next morning at check out I handed in the key and asked for a bill, they said something was broken and they couldn't give me one, so we went on our way. When we got home there was a call from them accusing us of smoking in the room and we were being charged $100. If they knew who was in the rooms they should have charged the person that was in the first dirty room they gave us first. I told her neither of us smoked but she didn't care. I really feel that they are just using this scam to get money from people.

Worst experience ever! Waited 20 minutes to get assistance to check in from a non-English speaking man. Had a dryer sheet stuffed in the peep hole in our room. Keys did not work for our room. Bathroom tiles were loose in our bathroom and several were missing. Continental breakfast was non-existent as there was no coffee and food was not edible. Never again!

We used 7 different motels on our way to and from the Sturgis motorcycle Rally. All the chain and privately owned motels were awesome, fairly priced except this one. Last minute booking through Super 8. I have used cleaner outhouses while hunting. Room was dirty, doors were dented and beat up. Continental breakfast was 2 bananas, 3 apples, lousy coffee and some yogurt. It is a dump stay away from it.

Will NEVER use this hotel again. They are extortionists. Had one of our employees booked here and booked the night before to ensure he would have a room in the AM — only to be told "no rooms available" and then they proceeded to charge us for this! They are criminals.

Possibly THE worst motel in the country. $57…? Try $69… and another $10 for a pet, plus taxes. Dirty, unkept, very poor exterior and the interior is falling apart. Stay away from this dump.

Recently stayed at the Super 8 in Rice Lake, WI. Experienced multiple issues took us 3 trips to get our keys to work. Finally get into our room and found we had no toilet paper, bar soap or towels. There was popcorn and cracker crumbs on the carpet and the screen in our window was torn. One pillow had red stains on the pillowcase not sure if it was blood or not. Went down to the front desk to see about getting the supplies and asking if the room had been cleaned. The young girl told us we had check in early so I room wasn't ready we checked in at 3:00 which is the check in time accord to the sign in at the front desk and on the web site. She was very rude told us she was doing us a favorite by letting us in early. At the time I made the reservation there was 3 of us staying in the room we had one more with us. She told us we were only getting 3 towels because that is what we said was registered for. Didn't realize it was such a big issue. She would not give us an extra towel and the towel she did give us had a big hole in it. The other problem was the back door did not lock so anybody could enter the hotel. Anyways I did contact the corporate office and should have a resolution by June 19, 2015. Stayed at other Super 8 not bad experiences. I will not be staying at this one again. I work with the public and I would never treat a paying customer in this manner.
