Reviews of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino 4*
My host booked me a suite and the front desk supervisor takes them from me. She’s extremely discriminatory against me. This is not the first time and guest relations has never resolved NOTHING!
Loved! Clean and friendly staff. Slot machine paid out very quick. Complimentary soda or coffee.
Wonderful machine we’re hitting. The Staff is way cool.
Great casino 🎰 Lots of variety machines!
Top notch gaming, events, and lodging and not to mention high quality cuisine and customer service.
Beautiful place & northern light was great seats & venue.
Great place. Excellent service, very organized, so neat and so clean.
The waitress were very polite. The place is clean and not crowded. I had fun.
The casino steals all your money. They get fined every month by the city because their machines don’t pay out what they’re supposed to but the fines are cheaper than the payouts. When they have promotions, it’s all set up because the same people win over and over. The hotel is pretty nice, but definitely just there as a rest period between gambling sessions. They keep doing updates due to their casino taking everyone’s money but they still haven’t put a pool in the hotel. Which again just proves that the hotel is there as a rest period between gambling sessions.
LOVED the Carlos Mencia show but that’s where the fun ended. We wanted to get something to eat afterward and there was an hour wait just to be seated. The slots were so tight we couldn’t even get a bonus Drink stations and bathrooms were a mess. We left. We weren’t going to waste anymore money there. I keep telling myself I’ll give it one more try but the results are always the same. I’ll go elsewhere. Too much competition coming.
Always excellent service. Rooms with amazing views. Wonderful restaurants on site with great food and of course lots of games to choose from.
Excellent service. Enjoy my stay, clean safe.
Good gambling and great restaurants.
The Ruyi restaurant is fabulous. The food is always fresh & tasty.
Nice hotel, very clean environment.
The service was awful. Waited 40 minutes for my card to cash out. They refused to serve my wife or myself. Will never go back. Garbage.
Great Xmas decorations. Fun! Nice hotel.
I don’t gamble but I would recommend the bar. Great affordable drinks.
Great staff and service. Love the casino.
The wonderful slots & amazing food yes you can WIN I did.
Great selection of slots. I go often and win a fair amount of the time! The rooms are very nice. Friendly staff.
Great drinks and the great luck.
The Casino is very clean and the employees are very nice and helpful. There were lots of slot machines to choose from.
Great experience. Nice drinks. Awesome game play. Will come back.
I love it here. But I never win lol it is a very nice casino though. Best of luck!
Just had the absolute worst experience of any casino I have been to since covid. Within 4 min of being in the casino a friend was walked out due to one hit of a vape. At no point were we ever warned of the new no smoking policy. We were not given a warning. We were enformed there is a zero tolerance policy. Security was very unprofessional. We were refunded our hotel stay but no refunded for the full drink they made us leave behind. Security is awful. I do not suggest going here as you feel eyes on you the entire time. Mind you NONE of the signage mentioned a zero tolerance policy after we were shown were the no smoking policy signs were located. They were not able to produce any type of written policy of a zero tolerance policy. 6 of us decided to leave over the incident. Beware of the ridiculous security here. They will without any warning kick you out for policies that are not posted.
Yes it's a very clean and quiet Hotel and the staff is really nice I give it a 5 star my room have been very clean and nice had a free stay for the Month of January and February nice.
Friendly staff and love the place.
I get high on the rooftop of the parking ramp. Glow bingo is lit. I go hard with the Buffalo machine. Non smoking card tables are chill. Bubble tea is a great drink. No tapico! That’s important. Food is decent. Bunch of woman in that joint. Bars are nice. Alcohol Drinks are expensive tho. Might find a sugar momma. Free soda. Bathrooms are clean.
Very clean and friendly hotel. Their service was prompt, easy and efficient. Everyone was sweet and hospitable I would recommend this hotel to everyone it’s awesome!
I do recommend Potawatomi Hotel and Casino. I feel very safe there, they check your temperature when you walk in the door and there’s hand sanitizing stations everywhere. I’ve been going here for over 20 years, and had many wins!
Spacious, clean, well maintained property — both casino and hotel. Dine in options still not back but soon (I hope).
Love this hotel! Clean and friendly staff.
I was very impressed with the safeguards put into place after the casino reopened. Plexiglass dividers on all machines, I love the reservation protocol to limit the number of guests, requiring players to wear masks, and the best change is keeping the casino smoke free! The casino was super clean and I felt safe. Well done!
Great casino and beautiful hotel! I miss it!
It's a nice place is comfortable the food is good and the rooms are great.
Love it. Great food and accommodations. Lit if fun.
Love this casino! It’s always clean and staff are so nice. Also, I walk out same or more often then not with more then I walked in with.
Nice casino. Love the restaurant options. Nice rooms and my favorite… bingo!
Top notch service and amenities. Always a great time at Potto!
The huge selection of slot machines. The courteous staff. And good food.
Fast friendly service and very clean place. My favorite casino hands down! can't wait to go again AAAA+++ place.
The rooms are amazing. Plenty of great places to eat.
They have great and kind service. Excellent atmosphere. Great Employees everyone friendly.
The hotel staff is very polite, kind and accommodating.
We enjoyed our stay immensely!
Our room was so beautiful.
We had dinner at the steakhouse.
Our server Chris was so knowledgeable about every menu item and did an excellent job waiting on us. The whole staff was amazing.
Our meal was delicious all the way down to the housemade chocolate ice cream.
We definitely recommend having a meal there.
Thank you for everything!
Kelly & Shelly Modad.
Great service, rooms were nice. The Asian restaurant was really good even 1/2 hour before they closed. Fire pit was good spot for lunch. Really good security with the elevator system to rooms too. Casino is so big, alot to see! great location and room price. You would not even know a casino was below. Maybe the rooms are sound resistent. We will be back! Thank you!
Awesome Place! Great food and a variety of Restaurants.
Everything was great since we got there.
front desk service outstanding, rooms super clean.
Amazing in every way. Had the best day.
Bingo in the morning is always my favorite. Love trying the different slot machines. Bar chicken dinner is great downstairs.
Very nice rooms, and the buffet is to die for. The crablegs are so delicious, but their lobster tails are my favorite. Well the slots you win some and lose some, that's why they call it gambling.
Lots of different and new machines. Extra wide aisles in much of the place. Great food. (But noisy as all hell. ) Nice location. (But the parking garage is a nightmare — took several times to figure out how to get on the right level to get to a specific exit. )
The building itself is nice. No complaints about our room or the location. The casino was clean, machines were updated, and it wasn’t too smoky. But their staff needs serious sensitivity training. After riding our Harleys for 7+ hours in one day, our group of ten was exhausted. First person who saw us when we walked in (elderly security guard) told us, “you look like you don’t belong here. ” Brian, the man who checked us in, was extremely short and rude with everyone. Then a …security guard yelled at my friend for relaxing on the couch. The only positive experience we had was with our waitress Carrie at the Fire Pit restaurant. She was great and the food was too. Fellow Harley friends, I highly recommend you find a different hotel where you aren’t treated like vagabonds.
Always clean and quiet rooms. Only Smokey smell in the casino area. Hotel restaurant has the best bacon!

RespondValet parking woman was SUPER polite and personable. At check in, they are quick and efficient. Room we had was a double queen with nice comfy beds. Spoke with housekeeping — such a pleasant person. All around a great visit, due to the people I encountered mostly! I forgot something in my room when I left, It'll be interesting to see if I get it back or not after my call this morning.

RespondUnfriendly and uncaring management. Forced us to cash out in the middle of a smoking hot 45 minute roll in electronic craps game so they can empty the hoppers. We asked them repeatedly to wait until the roll was over. Lady barged in and started opening machines anyway killing a hot streak. This game uses real dice ao should be treated no different than a craps game. Try that at a table and see what happens. Never seen people so rude and uncaring. Talked to the manager, said they would "talk to someone about it". Very clear they didn't care and weren't going to do anything about it.

RespondPotawatomi Hotel & Casino makes you feel like a VIP in almost every way. The hotel staff is incredibly accommodating. Everyone in the bingo hall is so friendly, too! It's our favorite thing to do at Potawatomi! One area that could use improvement is the casino floor staff. They could take lessons from the floor staff in the bingo hall about how to treat guests. You rarely see the employees on the casino floor smiling. They also have no problem walking right in front of guests as they're walking through the casino. It's the opposite in the bingo hall so we stay up there more often than not.

RespondNow to start off, I am not big on gambling. It is not really my thing. We came here for mt fiancee's birthday, so I tagged along. I have asthma, and being in the closed off space with cigarette smoke everywhere really bothered me. I tried to tough it out, but the flashing lights from the games was actually causing me to panic and have mini anxiety attacks. Take everything I say with a grain of salt. If you enjoy gambling and being in casino's, you will have a great time here. If you are like me where you get overwhelmed with lights and busy places, maybe just go to a coffee shop down the road. My biggest complaint would be not clearly marking the exits. That caused a lot of confusion for me and the group I was with. That is the only thing I can really complain about since the rest was more issues with me.
My husband and I love the casino … we have never stayed in the hotel due to we live in kenosha wi. And the drive is, only 30 mins. But the the casino and hotel are very beautiful and every one is very helpful and friendly and the varieties of food choice are great… we love the Fire Pit sports bar and grill and the Tater kegs a must have… my over all review of the entire casino hotel & food would be 100% excellent place for a great get away… I must add the entertainment… FUN FUN FUN and very enjoyable… I would recommend to give Potowatomi Hotel & Casino a visit you will be very satisfied …
Decent casino. The ATMs weren’t working for me and my friend and it took us about 30 minutes to finally get cash. The woman that helped me get my casino card was an extremely nice woman. That was the only good thing about the entire place. Also, when the police had to remove someone, they were super calm and gentle and no one was hurt. They were really professional.

RespondRoom was great. Clean and comfortable. Nice location; within a few blocks from shopping and dining. All employees we engaged were very informative and pleasant, great customer service! Room Service was punctual and extremely delicious! Overall great stay and I would definitely stay again.
Love this place! Loose slots, big payouts on bingo, front desk staff are very courteous, and get you checked in fast, Kevin was very knowledgeable and friendly, and gave you service with a smile, the manager made me feel at home as well, so glad they're adding more rooms and a spa! Best hotel and casino ever!
Had lunch here on a Monday. We arrived early around 11 AM. The staff that greeted us, took our drink order, and seated us were very pleasant and professional. After being seated, I was surprised that many of the buffet trays looked as if they were sitting for several hours. We expected the food to look fresh especially at this time of day so I was very disappointed starting off my meal. The pepper steak is extremely peppery. I've had this entre numerous times in other establishments and can say this was peppery to the extreme… very unnecessary and ruined the dish. The chicken dumpling soup was okay as was the fried shrimp. The Mediterranean section looked like the food was held over from the previous day I didn't take a chance on this. For $13 plus dollars I expected a better lunch buffet experience and level of quality. I may try again on another day but that will be it if I experience the same quality issues.
Always a good time. You'll win some, you'll lose some but have fun either way. As long as you're ok about the losing part. You'll get some face fulls of smoke but they do their best with keeping the air clean. A lot of games so you'll find something no matter how busy it is. Good food at all their restaurants and good drinks from the bar as well. The hotel is a great place to crash for the night as well.
The biggest Crooks in Wisconsin The latest Potawatomi publicity stunt even fooled the mainstream media. Reportedly a woman won 1.6 million dollars at a $1 slot machine at Potawatomi. It turns out that the women was a Potawatomi native. An ingenious way to lure more victims. You would have to be naive to believe that Potawatomi would allow someone to win that kind of money after building a multimillion-dollar hotel. Potawatomi has been fined on numerous occasions by the gaming Commission for not paying out the percentage requirements. I also heard from dealers that they take tens out of the blackjack decks to give the house better odds because the less tens in the shoe the less likely a dealer will break. We need to shut this place down. They destroy more lives than cocaine and heroin.
I was at a two day corporate event for work. The conference room was nice, the food was very good as the staff seemed efficient and sufficiently friendly. Those were all great pluses. One minus was the smoking across the other areas of the casino. Walking around and going to the bathroom or walking through other areas expose you to a lot of secondhand smoke. In Wisconsin, the casinos are the only businesses I know that are permitted to have smoking indoors at their businesses. It seems a bit gross these days. Other than the smoke I can't complain about anything else.
Pretty fun. Haven't won anything big but I've only gone a few times. Drinks are pretty reasonable. I don't like that the different bars charge different prices for the some drinks. Could have an area in the bingo hall for group or people that know they are a little loud. Due to my friends and I tend to get a little roudy when in a group together. Other than that it's a fun place to be.
The casino staff were great in explaining how to work the slot machines (the only type I tried). The buffet was okay, I found some Mediterranean and Latin fare and filled what cracks I had. I am soooo NOT a gambler type but managed to walk away with a lil change.
I’ll never understand how folks win and then give E V E R Y single dollar back. Omg. I’d have been looking like Saddlebag Susie, getting up outta there with my winnings, lol.
Well, my cash out tickets, anyway.
I was with my Zeta, and a couple other of my kids, we had fun, they took turns seeing what may be in store for them — popping wheelies while navigating me around in the wheelchair (the nerve if my pinched nerve), and trying not to pass out from all the cigarette smoke!
We’ll do it again this fall, different casino tho, please and thank you.
The room we had was excellent! Clean, great views, and very up to date / modern. Getting to the check in desk with my minor son from the parking garage was a terrible experience but oh well. The smell of cigarette smoke is way over bearing, they need some serious ventilation in that place. I tried to gamble a little but just couldn’t take the smell. All in all it was a nice stay but they need to do something about the cigarette smell.
It's always nice and clean. I noticed there's a lot more security, which is fine! Food area should be 24 hours when it open back up at 4am the line was 20 mins long. The people were awesome and got everyone in and out as fast as they could. Went woth my husband last night and his friend and his friend hit the slots for 12, 000! We only hit for 240 but it was 200 more at least! Good to know people don't just loose!
Although Potawatomi is a large casino and bingo hall, there is friendly staff willing to point out the right direction if you're lost or turned around. It offers both smoking and non smoking sections for both casino hall and bingo hall. Love going here when I have the spare cash to play some slots or a round of bingo!
Love the $5 min blackjack tables here. I tried food from the Chinese restaurant they have here and it was really good. Only thing I don't like is the smoke. They do have a small non smoking section though which is very convenient.
Nice looking hotel with floor to ceiling glass windows over looking downtown Milwaukee. Big rooms with lots of space and nice glass stand up showers. Non smoking areas in the casino. Free valet parking when staying at hotel. Only downfall was the high price for drinks and food. Has texas holdem poker where as casino's in Chicago doesn't. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place to everyone. It's close to Harley Davidson museum. A LOT of breweries to go check out.
EVEN though I would love to WIN I truly enjoy playing Bingo and if I could I would play each session EVERYDAY! IT is my relaxation! TRY PLAYING BINGO. Once you understand the speed and what to do, I BET YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO.
Went there for the Chili bowl cook off. It was in two rooms. We got there an hour and a half into it and the lines were very long for some of the samples. Of course, we figured it was because they were delicious, so we grabbed the first open line got a sample and then stood in line. Another hour and the lines were all gone. The best presentation goes to Chili in a muffin size bowl made of pizza crust. I also wanted to try a 5 alarm and yes, I only had one bite. Great deal, $18 and you get $10 in gambling Money.
And Hido to the casino and not to the hotel but I was told by the hotel Q Avia Chichos.
I came here just to stay in the hotel overnight while working in Milwaukee. The room I stayed in was very spacious and I liked that the water in the room was complementary. I was very pleased with the fast friendly service at check in as well. If you choose not to vallet and wall through the Casino from the parking garage you will be walking through smoking sections.
If you are a non-smoker, run, don't walk, away from this casino! First the positive : The only good thing about this casino is the poker room. The massage therapist is also very good. But this is the worst casino I've ever been to when it comes to smoking. It's 2018, you wouldn't think they'd force non-smokers to put up with second hand smoke. And boy it's a lot of it. Their ventilation system is worthless. After 30 minutes, my throat and nose were burning and my eyes were watering. This is no joke. No entertainment is worth this. Even if you're a smoker, this is just too much. Too bad, because the staff is very nice and the facility is nice as well.
Excellence in. Hotel Restaurant. And. All. In. Your. Very Personal. Kind.
A nice casino with a few good restaurants and sometimes great concerts. There is smoking allowed on the gambling floor and at the middle bar on the floor. I haven't played bingo in a few years but it was fun the last time I did. The new hotel attached is beautiful. Fun place to go for something to do.
This is a beautiful place. Somehow we managed to go out of our way home. But it was a good thing because we stopped here. It was beautiful. Would love to go again when I can stay longer.
I am not sure what all the negative reviews are about. We come here about twice a month Your drinks are reasonably priced for a casino. People complaining about machines being too tight. It is a business making money. I am a nonsmoker and your smoking areas are one of the cleanest I have every been too. Obviously if you're writing a complaint saying you have been coming there 4 times a week and are down, you probably have a problem. Love the updates, but please don't remove ALL of the old slots. They are the best ones. And also, for a casino you have a very large variety of food. Keep it up.
Again, this casino is a joke. I have never lost so much money in such a short amount of time. NO ONE around me was was winning. A few years ago I could play for a long time on the money I brought and even win a decent jackpot. Indian casinos continue to say they are regulated by the state. THEY ARE NOT! They can set their machines anyway they want to. And they have them set to give the lowest amount possible. 10 free spins on a $5 machine and I "win" $13? It's a joke. All of the casinos in Wisconsin are a joke.
Pretty good casino. Keep low tables most of the night which is nice but even if you're getting $50 a hand they still don't give you free drinks. Obviously no Vegas but probably best in the area.
It's a very nice place
It's very big.
Has free valet parking, restaurants, live entertainment. Gambling separated by doors from hotel, but you have to walk through it to get to parking, restaurants, etc. And that part has smoking and is loud. There are a few small smoke free gambling areas, but not much. So, except for the gambling, it's perfect. We drove there from Kansas City so we chose it for the free parking garage which was nice. Valet or park it yourself all free. The restaurants were convenient, had good food and courteous service. The gambling areas were very populated, but the noise did not penetrate to the hotel and the machines did not ring. There must have been winners, but no ringing.
I am not sure what all the negative reviews are about. We come here about twice. Your drinks are reasonably priced for a casino. People complaining about machines being too tight. It is a business making money. I am a nonsmoker and your smoking areas are one of the cleanest I have every been too. They are the best ones. And also, for a casino you have a very large variety of food. Keep it up.
Room was great. Very nice and quite large. The mistake we made was bringing the kids. There are no activities for them. The best restaurants are located in the casino and kids aren't allowed there. Next time we leave them home.
I had a room facing the east and looked over the city. The view was better than expected. The customer service was great and friendly. I had no issues. The sheets were clean and the food was good. The fitness room had enough to get a decent workout in and then I hit up the lake for a jog afterwards which is nearby. The bar was busy and I met up with a few people having a good time. Plenty of parking as well. Overall a fun time and definitely would recommend staying at the hotel for a weekend trip.
If I could give zero stars I would. My boyfriend works for Potawatomi and recently they changed their schedules so everyone comes in at really weird times. Not only is it confusing, most times they don't even get tapped out when their shift is over because no one has any idea when each dealer is supposed to be finished. Clearly they don't care about their employees. I do not recommend supporting any business who doesn't care about it's own workers.
Every year my mother and I find a hotel with casino to stay at on a Thursday evening, (we, then spend the rest of the weekend in Algoma, WI, for their Shanty Days celebration) this year we chose the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino. I just want to say "Thank You" for a wonderful experience we had no trouble with our reservation and checking in, the staff was very friendly, when asked if this was our first time here, and we said "yes", they gave us a room on the 12th floor with a wonderful view of downtown Milwaukee. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. The casino was well worth the 7 hours we spent there, a really enjoyable evening. So, much so, we plan on coming back next year. Once again, THANK YOU!
The staff of both the hotel and the casino were friendly and helpful. The hotel room was clean, well decorated, and comfortable. The bed and pillows provided a great night sleep. The casino has a large number of the latest slot machines, with a respectable number of them in nonsmoking areas. Table games are well represented and not limited to the standard blackjack, craps, and roulette. I had a great time learning the table version of Texas hold'em.
I went to dinner with a friend at Bella Italiana. Neither of us had eaten at this particular restaurant before. I was amazed! The food was incredible and super affordable. It's not often you find a place that you can order an incredible 3 course meal for $18! And when I wrote that price I'm serious. They didn't mess with $17.95 or similar things to make you feel like you are paying less when it's still really the same cost. The only thing I recall on the menu that even dealt with change was my beverage and that was 2.50! Dinner for 2 adults at the best Italian restaurant I've been to (where the food tasted sinful and looked amazing) fabulous wait staff and beautiful atmosphere. Our bill was less than $45 and well worth much more.
Stayed here for one night for a girls day trip and was very happy with the experience. Was able to check in at 1pm instead of their normal 4pm time. Staff was very friendly both on the phone and in person. Parking was a breeze in the lot got something very close to the door. The casino floor has a lot to choose from when it comes to slot machines, I was pleasantly surprised. Bingo is no joke and they had multiple times to play. We did a back to back marathon. There's a food court with decently prized generous servings It was conveniently located on the 3rd floor next to the bingo area. The room was beautiful basically what is shown in the picture. The only issue I had was with the scratched furniture, it was all scratched. And I also didn't notice until the next morning that the sheet was completely torn. For $219 a night I would expect better especially for all the other detail placed in the decor of the rest of the room. That's the only reason for the 4 instead of 5 star review.
While I have not had the chance to stay in the hotel I have been able to visit the casino several times over the last few years. I recently celebrated a family member's birthday here and was quite satisfied. I was able to hit several smaller jackpots — nothing major, but enough to leave ahead. There are always new machines when ever I get the chance to visit so there is always something new to play, even if I don't play the machines very much. It's usually very busy which is why I prefer the bingo hall. They have some of the biggest payouts for bingo compared to other casinos. I will definitely be back at least once this year.
My visit was just to give gambling a try. The location is good. It's like a maze to get there, but worth the drive because the view there and around it is beautiful at night. The bathrooms were kept cleaned what seemed like every hour on the hour. I always saw someone tidying up when I went to the bathroom. Bartenders and staff are nice, as well.
A decently sized casino with plenty of slot machines and table games to go around. There are a couple places to eat on the ground floor/main casino area including a sushi restaurant and a buffet. On the second floor there are sections for poker and off track betting, along with a large bingo hall and food court. The only downside I have with the establishment is that they allow smoking inside the building. The smell is quite pungent and it lingers on you well after you leave the premises. To be fair, they do have a non-smoking section with several table games and slot machines, but it is quite a small section compared to the rest of the casino.
The recent poker room upgrades make the room much nice. The room was great. My only complaint is that I get carded all the time which gets annoying after a while.
I went with a couple friends to play bingo Saturday night. None of us have played bingo so we asked for assistance when we got to the counter to buy our cards. We were pretty much told to pick a package, and nothing else. We tried to ask some questions but did not really get much of a response on what we were supposed to do. After watching a game or two play out we realized we had to wait for a round to finish. So after a longer wait we didn't realize we would have to do we sat down in the smoking section. We didn't even know for over a half hour and moving once that there was another side with non-smoking. So we moved over there. Once the games started (we still had no idea how to use the machines or how the process went). Some people had paper cards which we we're not even given as an option. Our machines didn't work for the first 2 games and one if us even had to find someone to reset a machine which took asking a couple people before we got help. Our machines froze and we very slow the whole night and another machine had to be reset halfway through. Missing games because the numbers weren't loading. We had no idea going in that we were in for a wait to start and about a 3 hour game after. There should be someone there to help inform people that have never experienced bingo at a casino before. After that night I have no desire to play bingo again.
Stayed overnight in the hotel. The rooms are very nice and spacious. TV could be a little bigger. Bathroom has a stand up shower and separate water closet. Nice amenities. The room includes free coffee, tea and Aquafina water bottles. Call housekeeping if you need more. Had a little luck in the casino and ate at the Fire Pit Bar and Grill. Blackjack burgers were amazing! Nice Milwaukee getaway!
Ok… so this could've been an easy fix but apparently Perry (manager on duty) just doesn't know how to handle business. I was in Milwaukee for the night (Sunday. 3/26) and stayed at the casino (Potawatomi). I arrived early (1:30pm) and my room wasn't ready (still being cleaned). So I hung out around the casino… had some lunch and around 4pm, I tried to check in again to no avail. The room still wasn't clean (I'm hoping this room is steam cleaned at this point), so I continued to pass time in the casino. At 6pm, I finally checked into my room and went to dinner. I'm completely fine with the late check in, the double tip I left the bell hops from all the confusion, etc… All I asked of the manager on duty was a late check out the next day (maybe 1 or 2pm so we could get some rest) but the manager was unwilling to accommodate whatsoever. Our room wasn't even inhabitable until 5pm the day before, but we have to be out by noon the next day so the hotel can continue to make money without interruption. I'll never stay at this hotel again and I'll curse it's name to everyone I know. All I needed was a late check out. How difficult is that, Perry?
The meeting room was nice and the AV system seemed to work well. Food we were served during lunch (deli meat sandwiches with chips, apple, and cookie) was actually pretty tasty and filling. Seemed like a pretty nice place. The staff was friendly. And it was easy to get to from the Interstate.
No dresses above the knees? Seriously? What is this a middle school dress code? My girlfriend wasn't allowed in while wearing a modest dress with tights on underneath… Ridiculous. We're recent Marquette University graduating seniors attending a ball upstairs of the casino! No information about a dress code in the casino was given. Terrible customer service as well, workers were rude and didn't want to talk to us when we asked what the dress code was. Overall terrible experience. Do not recommend! Ridiculous dress code and rude workers!
Poker room was acceptable, good action, competent dealers. Actual casino was somewhat antiquated but not much of a regular gambler, so no points deducted. Restaurant I ate at had great service and made an excellent burger. Will return soon.
The atmosphere is great if you like second hand smoke, even in the non smoking section. I saw many staff going around and picking up after the patrons, but when you give out free soda, there will be sticky issues. This is a bit of a turn off when everybody is basically touching the same thing to gamble. Their payouts are mediocre at best, but no one expects to come away winners when going to a casino. I don't gamble, but my wife does, and she likes the venue and its closeness to our house. It seems like they try to provide a better environment for people to give them their money, but the messes of the masses ultimately wins out in the end.
Staying at this hotel for 3 days on business for a small trade show event. Ate at the Buffet restaurant at the Potawatomi on my first day at 5pm. I had this feeling that something was going to happen because the food looked like it was sitting all day and didn't taste that great. By 11pm, I had food poisoning! Called downstairs and talked to a guy named Christophe and registered my complaint. I asked if someone could bring me some Tums, or an antacid… and he said you'll have to get it yourself at the hotel gift shop. Wasn't helpful at all! I'm writing this now as I'm ill. As a business person who travels frequently I can tell you this hotel's response and especially the restaurant are well below par! Stay away! I rate hotels on how they treat you when you have a problem. This one is a big Zero. I'm in for a long night… I'll be filing a complaint with the County Health Department tomorrow.
It is a casino. Too much smoke (even in the non smoking areas) and way over priced food and drinks. But the staff was mostly friendly, good variety of table games, and the good food. The hotel rooms were pretty decent as well. It was better than most casinos in Wisconsin but you pay for it.
I've never seen such sadness and weariness of soul so consistently as in the faces and even posture of those sitting at slot machines, presumably placing their hopes in money (unearned) yet losing theirs at an unfortunate rate. They have free soda though, so I came out on top! Very nice architecture and décor! I wonder where all that money comes from.
Went to see Jay Leno. Great venue for a show like this. However drink service was horrible. Very slow. Only time for 1 drink for 2 hour show. Didn't have drink menus. Ordered chocolate martinis. No chocolate. Ordered 7&7. No 7up or similar. Didn't tell us just brought drink with club soda instead. Horrible.
I had the worst experience ever at the hotel upon check in yesterday. I drove up from Chicago to stay the night a Potawatomi Hotel and casino. I began by Valeting my vehicle and attempting to check in at 1am at the front desk. I then was informed by the hotel staff that there was not a reservation for me and that the only comp rooms I can use is Sunday through Thursday. I then asked to speak to a manager and that is when I met Kira Johnson who is the front desk supervisor she then apologized and told me that there was nothing she could do. So my next step being that it was 1am, I asked for my host to come and talk to me. Well that didn't work either because he was off, but Kira requested that the "guest relations specialist" by the name of Dominic Marinello come to the counter to speak with me! He arrived and had no clue what was going on nor did he know anyone that I was asking for (Cheryl or Candi which are floor supervisors), he was clueless as to how he could handle the matter, (my suggestion would be hire someone that has some intelligence). So after debating back and forth with Dominic, I then asked for a "boss" that knows what they are doing. He summoned Andrew Olech who by far was the rudest most ignorant person ever! While waiting for Andrew I then gave up and asked to be checked in to a hotel room and I would pay out of my pocket. Kira started the process and asked me to sign the screen which I noticed that they were charging me $285, I then said forget it!
Saw comedian louie anderson. Great show wonderful food at the pre show dinner. Did some gambling everyone was very courteous. All around amazing time!
Hotels are nice. Room was nice and clean and bathrooms are really nice. King size beds are nice. Free Wi-Fi is decently fast too! Only complaint is I couldn't stream a show from my phone to the tv. Chromecast is blocked. Overall, nice hotel.
The rooms are clean and nice. I like the security of needing your room key to even use the elevators in the hotel part. We ate at the Fire Pit and at Locavore, and enjoyed both meals. Loved the waitress at Locavore, she was very kind and personable. I wish I could remember her name, but can only remember that it started with an F. We also received good service at the 360 bar. We had a good time in the casino as well, and enjoyed the several dealers we met at the Three Card Poker table game.
The overall experience was great and most of the employees were very polite and sincere. At one point I visited the food court and overheard one of the employees talking bad about a customer which is dropped the level of class for the evening. The hotel room was very classy and clean. Thanks to the floor to ceiling windows even facing west the view was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the comforter makes me want to buy one for my house! Clean bright bathroom and nice towels… Great Hotel! One thing I do not understand is the levels of the firekeepers club cards. I have been going to pottowatomi for years and am still the lowest level player. I love the benefits from the card and make all my friends sign up when we go I just dont know what it takes to get upgraded, it seems like a lot.
We were really shocked when we decided to book Potawatomi for our wedding ceremony and reception. We are not big gamblers, but the venue was so pretty! It was fancy and had a high end look that we just loved. Meeting with the catering manager several times before the event seemed to have everything on track. The last month before the wedding, things started to go off track. The manager was late to our meetings, and then we were promised things that never happened. Ultimately I spoke with the catering manager, for about 5 seconds on the actual wedding day. We brought in our floral arrangements the day before the wedding and were told they would be put into a walk in fridge, this never happened. We reviewed several times, the way the prepaid bar items would be handled, the bar tenders were giving open bar to everyone, one of my bridesmaids had to correct them it was beer and wine. The Play Cards given to us by Potawatomi for wedding favors were never put out for the guests. During the time of the ceremony the reception space was not set up on the agreed upon mapping. Then at the end of the night, I was finally getting a late night snack, and was told they were out of tortilla chips for the nacho bar! The night manager then asked if my family could help pick up the space. I am sure none of my guests noticed these things, but it was still disappointing to see things fall through the cracks that last minute.
☆Played bingo and hit the slots for my birthday was a fantastic evening to bad for how much I give them I couldn't win. Even on bithday. But for surely will be going back! Prices for bingo packets are a great deal even the electronic bingo is fun! ☆
Played bingo and had a blast! The line to play was very long, but the teller was helpful in making our choice of gameplay, the equipment was functional, and the refreshments at the food court were good during intermission. Will definitely come back again in the future.
This was my third stay. I have always had a great time. Corner rooms are the best. Room service is quick and eager to please. Food court and buffet are above par in my opinion, with fair proces. Check in/out is always a breeze. Especially when using the valet service. I will be back again soon!
Potawatomi has updated their experience in the past 2 years to be more in line with the traditional Vegas experience. Lots of options for fun to be had here. The special events are always a fun time. The reason for the 4 star rating is simply that despite their updates they still have not fully solved the smoke issue. While the smoke removal and ventilation is significantly improved, it is still present.
Preface: I've stayed at most of the hotels on the Las Vegas strip. I came for an IT summit and as a convention center, it was top notch. The room was really nice and the lecture rooms were very nice also. I don't gamble, but the casino looked like any other during the weekdays. Sad octogenarian Wisconsinites piddling away their pensions on video slots and chain smoking. I love, however, that the steakhouse is named "Dream Dance Steak" because seriously guys, were you high when you named it? Dream Dance Steak is the most hilariously named steakhouse in the Midwest.
The only reason why I won't write a 5 star is because it is way too smoky. Also, the machines are not maintained. They are replaced… But not maintained. Lots of machines with sticky buttons and out of service signs. However, most of their machines are beautiful and fun. To be fair, they have better games than any other casino. If Potawatomi could only maintain the machines and have two discrete smoking and non-smoking sections, I would rate this casino 5 star all the way.
We've stayed at Potawatomi Hotel and Casino several times. It's location is near downtown and Marquette University. The hotel doesn't have a pool or hot tub but otherwise has nice amenities. The rooms are pretty standard. You do get free coffee and water which is a nice touch. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, and TV is good size flatscreen. As far as things to do, the dinning options are all pretty good, casino? … it's a casino, nice bingo hall if your into that and if you want to catch a game around people there's a nice sports bar. We'll stay there again.
Potawatomi is a great location if your coming from miller park, otherwise it's too far to walk anywhere. The rooms were pretty standard, no complaints there. The service here is aweful, they have a business attitude and the dealers seem unhappy and afraid to make mistakes.
All I can say is Wow. It must be all of the lobbying efforts "Paying Big" for the casino. I've never lost so much money so quickly, and to add insult to injury the free play I accumulated was lost to a machine because you have to load money to use it. Just a flat out horrible experience. $800 spent to get a bonus on max bet $4. The bonus paid me $12. Went through $400 on a penny machine without a bonus… until I was down to five cents. Tried to spin off and it hit a bonus for $5, which should've paid $500. Every where I turned people were losing their asses. This place needs to be regulated by someone, probably the feds as the state is full of lobbyist cash. Never coming back here — $2500 gone in under an hour.
On NOVEMBER 1st-2nd they gave us a free hotel on the 19th floor which was amazing in layout only! THE WORST THING WAS NO HOT WATER AT ALL. Could not give an estimate for the repair and customer service was beyond rude! They will forever give free rooms with this type of service. Millions maybe even billions of dollars and NO HOT WATER for two days? Did not even offer another one night stay for free or anything just we don't have hot water sorry? Hotel def need some fixes and its rated at 1 star for me!
Horible! The casino chaged its rule about allowing anyone under 21 eat in the buffet. Aparently some people were taking their underage children on the gamblung floor which caused the change. The casiono could have come up with a better monitoring system to prevent this. So now we cannot take our daughter with us. Sad!
I'm giving this place 1 star because that's the only way I can leave a review. From the second we pulled up to the valet it was just awful. These people need some hospitality training. I never was yelled at or talked down to by soo many people in 1 place before. Even the security guard was rude. This hotel is not children friendly and not worth the $. They were gonna male my son walk around the building in the rain to catch a taxi. WTF! They don't accommodate you whatsoever. They lost $ on us by being rude and being assholes. We will never go back. Not worth the $.
Kurt the supervisor in the poker room is a total tool. I asked him why don't thay have chairs and couches to sit on like thay have had in years past, the turd yelled at me "ARE YOU GOING TO BUY THEM? " Hmmmm last I checked Poto raked in a couple hundred million. Kurt i'm sorry you hate your life and/or job but come on bro don't be a complete d-bag and than your company sends me letters calling me a guest. I said goodbye to Kurt as I walked out, dude is so freaking cool he didn't even have time to look up at me and say good nite like a REAL Host. Maybe go into the lobby, grab a "working woman" and work off some of that hate.
Reading the reviews of all these people is hilarious. It's like how many degenerates can you get to complain about a casino in the last 9 months? Complaining about payouts on slots, that they never win, etc, etc. IT'S A CASINO, they aren't in the business of making you money. Slots are one of the worst casino games to play at any location, so I don't get why anybody is surprised they are losing. I understand the rate at which you are losing may be different from location to location, but come on, you should know what you are getting into. When I go up, I literally only play craps, because it's one of the few casinos around that you can do that at, and it's far better than the trash of Gary, Indiana. In the 6 times I've been up there the last 5 years to play craps, I've never walked out a loser, and just the last time I cashed out $1000 after buying in for $200. It's all about discipline and being smart. The staff has always been friendly to us, so no problems there in my personal opinion. The food is a bit overpriced, so it definitely pays to have some kind of voucher. The smoke definitely still lingers, so that is a downside to this casino for non-smokers. I also can't comment on the hotel or the bed bugs rumors as I've never stayed at their hotel. The poker room is very nice and has a good variety of tables and limits.
This is the worst casino in history ever made absalutely unbelievable lost I played my whole money not a single bonus and bet max played a few more bet max went to bonus only 10 dollars won I cannot believe these people are getting away with such huge losts to our money we work hard for its never fun to win nothing its never fun with no bonuses absolutely horrible managers who walks around just to make sure you are loosing every single penny these people should not even be in service I mean huge lost here totally dissatisfaction a total discrace a total mess employees who works there a total mess never in my life go there again they have taken money that was important please don't waste any money try hit big cause they make sure you get not a penny and its very sad how they get away with such dirt I mean very disrespectful and revenge for no reason at all…
Been coming to the casino for a very long time… won a little and lost a lot. Love the food… But the service has got to get better. Customers need to be greeted with a smile… Not an attitude. I know that I am responsible for the amount of gambling I do but the slots sometimes don't… No… A lot of times don't want to give you a feature… And when you get it. It doesn't pay you anything. I play the same machines and I have noticed how in one visit I can get features and/or win a little which extends my play… and another visit I will go through 200 dollars in 30 minutes… makes me think that they are being rigged which im sure is against the law… limiting my play and limiting my visits… keep your coupons unless your gonna let me enjoy it.
I have never used it because evil tongues say q is very expensive, but very comfortable.
