The Graduate a try. We had the best hotel experience ever, love the hotel and we’ll definitely be back!

Camp Tripalindee at the Graduate hotel is probably the best bar that I have ever been to. The selection was fantastic, prices reasonable, and my bartender — Zach — was very charismatic and made sure my glass was never empty. Try the Bug Juice and their award winning burger!

Cute hotel! Small but well-thought out room. Nice pillows. A little noisy but nothing decent earplugs can't handle. Good location.

Okay, folks. If you ever find yourself in Madison, WI, PLEASE do yourself a favor and stay at this perfect hotel. When unexpected flight delays had us traveling an extra 1500 miles today and arriving 7.5 hours later than planned, barely in time for our conference presentation, the general manager of the Graduate Madison *personally* went ahead of us to the conference location and *set up our booth himself* (! ) to ensure we had a successful event. Have you ever heard of such incredible customer service? The location is stellar, the room is beautiful, the restaurant was good, the decor is fun, functional, elegant, and quirky, and every staff person with whom we have interacted here has gone above and beyond to make our short, whirlwind stay memorable and comfortable. I can’t possibly say enough good things about this staff. Goes to show that when leaders of an organization are seriously committed to service excellence, it’s contagious across the board. I love this place. Just wow! ❤️

Modern hotel located right next to campus and 1 block from Lake Mendota. Staff were very professional, helpful, and friendly. Room was clean, spacious, and the bathroom had nice little amenities (high quality soap, shampoo, conditioner etc. ). Bed was very comfy. Hotel was pretty quiet at night (but school was not in session when we were there). There is a bar on the top floor that provides a decent view of the capitol building at night (it's brightly lit) and a view of the lake. Prices are a little higher than other local bars, but they do serve some food. Only thing that kind of sucks is there is no parking really, you have to park on the street (it's a busy college neighborhood) or pay for valet parking ($25/night). This isn't a money grab though, you have to pay for parking for this whole area because space is tight.

Perfect location for a college visit or enjoying downtown Madison. We used the shuttle both to and from UW-Madison. We would have liked more breakfast options available from the cafe for convenience, although there are many other options within walking distance. There was a hip bar on the top floor with more time we would have certainly visited.

Cool college themed rooms and they are dog friendly. They also have a fun roof top bar. Right on State St. Lots of action. Service was good. Only downside, rooms are a little small.

In general — the hotel itself was very nice. Rooms were small but comfortable and it has a fun atmosphere. Unfortunately for us, we had a horrible experience with the valet service that took care of our cars. The morning following our night at The Graduate, the valet employees could not find our vehicles. We waited over an hour and a half for someone to locate where they parked our cars, and many others. We even offered to go find it ourselves, if they would tell us the location of their parking garage. They pretty much ignored our request. We were extremely frustrated. We learned that The Graduate Hotel hired the valet service and that it is not affiliated with the hotel itself. The hotel staff, however was obviously irritated as well and extremely apologetic. They even offered to comp our hotel stay. The valet staff on the other hand, were very unprofessional we felt they didn't handle the situation well at all. We would definitely stay at The Graduate Hotel in the future, but I sincerely hope they hire a new valet service.

Great location, fun hotel, and great bar on the 7th floor overlooking the city! The rooms could have been cleaner and nicer, but the price was reasonable.

The hotel is very nice. The beds are comfortable and the staff are very friendly. Rooms are a little small but still cozy and help you feel at home.

Very cute place. More European style and sized. You pay for great location and ambiance. If you want something more roomy you may opt for another place. So cute and convenient though!

This is a great hotel. It is really conveniently located near the university and many food and shopping options. The room was smaller than at some big chains, but still had plenty of space and comfy beds. They have fancy toiletries, too, which I appreciated. I Iteally felt like a luxury hotel! The in-house restaurants were good, too. You can even roast s'mores at the roof top restaurant! The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, too!

I love this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location next to State Street and just two block for the UW campus is very convenient. The restaurant/bar on the top floor is great for a quick meal or just to sit and relax with friends. I have stayed here several times and have always been happy with my stay.

I love the rooftop bar! Great atmosphere that is casual and fun. Games available to play and the rooftop patio is well protected. You can't beat the location. I have stayed here twice and had great service both times and I have visited as a non guest as well and still received great service. I would give this rating a 5 star rating if they improved the wine options. Wine is served in a can (with glass provided) and just isn't very good. Beer options are good however. Overall, this is a must stop if you're in the area. Decor is awesome.

The Graduate Madison is not just a hotel, it's an experience. Stepping inside is like walking into a Wes Anderson movie complete with insane eye candy, awesome staff, great coffee and a summer camp inspired rooftop restaurant that you will never want to leave. The location couldn't be better either. It's located right in the heart of campus, just a tiny stroll to shopping, the lakefront, and great local hang outs. Although, I have to be honest, we spent the majority of our time in the Graduate taking in all all its glory, drinking adult capri suns, playing board games by the fire pit and drinking in the view!

The Graduate Madison is a decent hotel. The bar located on the 7th floor has gorgeous views of the lake, but lacks substantial food items while being the only dinner option at the hotel. The facility caters to college visitors and misses the mark for business travel. The rooms are clean, cozy, and modern.

This indoor and outdoor bar is called Camp Trippalindee. The drinks are fairly priced. The views of Madison and Lake Mendota are very good. The ambiance is right out of LL Bean. Fire pits, board games, older style metal chairs, and campy outdoor pictures. Leave your attitude in the elevator and relax.

The location was perfect — especially for a — 20 degree night! The staff was super friendly and very accommodating! One of the staff even helped us jump our car the next morning I will mention, the room was quite cold (thermometer read in the 40's) when we first got there, but we ended up going out on State Street and letting it warm up while gone.

Literally the softest bed in the world. If you have a long day, a long night, a long life, these beds will take away all your pain. Also cute summer camp themed bar on the roof w/ firepits! *100% smoke-free facility.

The hotel was very clean and unique! The decor was different, but in a good way. The price was right, and accommodation and location were perfect.

Great hotel and staff — especially Dennis — he is the best. The hotel is pet friendly which is a huge plus. We didn't get a chance to check out the roof top bar, the Triplelindee (Is that named after a dive in that Rodney Dangerfield movie? ). They offer valet parking — but we found it cheaper to park in a garage on State street. The decor was a nod to the midcentury modern aesthetic.

Cute hotel. However there are some issues. First off there is no parking. There's the option to valet your car, but it's 20 a night, which seems crazy to me. There's no free parking in vicinity. Elevator is retro. My room TV didn't work. And I was super cold the whole night. The temp controls didn't seem to do much. There's also the option to get breakfast from in house cafe. They should really be more forth coming with info. But staff was nice enough.

Good stay. Amazing interior design… no detail in rooms overlooked. Every single piece of furniture, furnishing, and artwork designed with the theme in mind. Service, though, was just ok. Except for one, front desk employees didn't smile, weren't really enthusiastic about their work. I'd still give it another try.

Great location on campus. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean. Decor has a very fun Wisconsin theme. But space is a little tight, so rooms may be small.

I work there and the staff and guest are amazing! The crowd is young and older so its a great mix of fun and business. Fun place and peaceful I'd stay there anyway of the week.

I am rating the Graduate in Madison for the cafe on the ground level, Portage Pi. My husband and I stopped here last spring and enjoyed savory pies and beers, and we couldn't wait to come back when we were back in Madison. It's a great place to kick back and relax with a drink or for a light meal. This last time they had the bloody Marys which were fine. Not the best vodka but no headache. The savory pies are delicious. My favorites are the veggie and the chicken.

The room was nice and the furniture was recently updated but it was the middle of October and my room was 60 degrees. When I called to complain they said it was because they hadn't turned the heat on for the building. Having turned on the heat in my room was actually making it colder because it was only circulating cold air, so they sent up a space heater and a small blanket.

I booked a room at this hotel through Hotwire so I basically paid half price. Even at that "bargain rate, " I want my money back. The room was painfully small and had a tiny bed that I didn't fit into. Bathroom had not been cleaned properly — hair remained in the shower from the last guest. The heat didn't work in the room, even with thermostat set all the way to 80, only cold air blew through the vent. Walls are paper-thin, I could hear the couple in the next room talking as if they were right in the room with me. I have no idea who this hotel is catering to, but if anyone is going to pay full price to stay here, they had better be small of stature and not claustrophobic or they are in for a miserable night.

I met a friend for a drink and some snacks at the newly opened bar on the top floor of The Graduate Hotel. The bar staff were extremely nice and provided great service. We split the chicken sandwich and sweet potato wedges, both of which did not disappoint. The patio has several fire pits, great for the upcoming fall season. I definitely recommend the bar/restaurant.

This place is a few steps from state street which is an area with a great selection of food and shops. On one end is the university of Wisconsin campus and the other end is the state building. The hotel has an old school college feel and is very cute. The bathroom has heated floors and large shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles affixed to the shower wall. The elevators are very old and dated but fit well in the old school feel. The front staff were very nice and helpful. They recommend a place for me to grab food on state street. I was also offered an umbrella by the staff as the skies were threatening rain. Overall this place is a great place to stay and in the heart of the downtown.

The Graduate was very clean and upscale. Used to be a dorm or apartments or something. Very good location on state street and close to the lake as well.

A good alternative to the large downtown hotels. Views from the rooftop bar/restaurant are great. That being said, bathrooms are TINY. Don't expect luxurious bath. We only had a shower. Beds comfy and hotel conveniently located to campus, the Union and the lake.

We had some issues with our reservation and we we're fortunate enough to have Stephan at the front desk. He was calm and did everything in his power to make sure we could have our reservation honored. The decor is quirky and fun and it's a great stay. I will be back for sure.

The Graduate is doing really cool things at University campuses by renovating old hotels. In some ways it seems like they stop in certain spots with actually making them better but for the most part it is really well done. Great stay overall.

I went to the bar on the top floor for some drinks and it was phenomenal. The bartenders were friendly and engaging, and the drinks were delicious. Will definitely be going again.

The Graduate presents itself as a trendy higher caliber hotel then it is. It's comfortable, but with mildew in our first bathroom, a shower stall that would not drain in our second, and a "worn" feeling to each room that goes beyond the retro style it feels like it's coasting on its location and reputation. I've been in 2 star hotels that felt cleaner and comfortable. This is not to say it's a bad hotel, just not worth the price tag.

We had dinner as a storm rolled in. The food was good, especially the quinoa burger. The drinks are a bit pricey, but the food is reasonable. I'd go back.

Beautiful remodel of this perfectly-located property. Drinks on the rooftop is a treat on a beautiful day or night. Nice small plates and a simple but varied drink menu.

Above all else the staff are amazing! Decent food downstairs. Great (and well priced) drinks on the rooftop w sweet views. Rooms were good enough, bed was comfy; bathroom was tight. Stayed w a kiddo and staff was extra helpful.

It is an angry location there is a lot to do around it. It's very clean and looks very nice. I would stay here again.
