Review of Clarion Suites at The Alliant Energy Center 2*

This was my first stay at a Clarion Suites Hotel, and I found the Madison Clarion to exceed my expectations. With convenient access from the Interstate, this location is ideal for the conference I attended, which I accessed via the hotel’s covered-walkway. The Madison Clarion is all I could ask for: free parking, free Internet, free breakfast, with hot waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage links, and more along with free coffee and free refills all day and night, two free bottles of water, fresh-baked cookies, free workout room and equipment, free pool, hot tub, and free morning paper. My room was a spacious suite with a 25-inch color TV, queen-size bed, extra pillows and blankets, sofa-sleeper, coffee table, and workstation, which doubles as a table with two chairs. If you are staying a few days, you’ll appreciate the kitchen, which is equipped at no extra charge, with a microwave, bar sink, refrigerator, cupboards, tiled floor and coffee maker with free coffee. Moms will be pleased to have the refrigerator for keeping drinks or leftovers cold, and the microwave is great for warming up simple meals or snacks for hungry kids. Ladies will like the bath and toilet, which are separate from the dressing room, which has a vanity and wall-to-wall closet with full-length mirror. If you like self-serve, you’ll be fine with handling your bags and parking your car to expedite check in and check out. The receptionist acknowledged my arrival, was knowledgeable, efficient, and invited me to a complimentary cocktail hour for hotel guests that occurred one night during my stay. Housekeeping completed their chores and tidied my room without disturbing my belongings. The scrumptious breakfast was kept hot and well stocked by a friendly staff. When in the area, I will definitely stay at the Clarion Suites, and next time I will bring my border collie, as pets are welcome, too. Thanks for making my stay an enjoyable one.
