Clean rooms, decent rates, and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful!

Initial impressions was alright for a small town, but the front desk person could not put multiple rooms on one charge so it was three separate and when we got in the room: it was really cold, everything was unplugged, and no smoke detector in the room, it had been removed for some reason. Plus spots on the walls/floor were not cleaned up after someone spilled something. Not a good first experience.

The ideal Motel in terms of price-quality.

We needed a place to crash for the night ASAP and leave early the next morning — so it was fine for just that. Didn't even shower there, really just slept and nothing else. Mediocre quality, a little musty with an off smell, didn't feel super clean but not awful. Just a solid "meh"!

Smart choice inn was able to accommodate us at the last minute. The room was mediocre, decent for just a place to crash for the night. Wouldn't want to spend more time than I had to though.

The hotel was moderately furnished and the attendant at the front desk was polite and helpful. The beds were quite comfortable and the sheets and towels were laundered and the towels were much softer then anticipated. The room didn't smell funny or anything either and the AC worked well. Our electrical outlet was a bit loose from the wall which did cause me minor concern, but it still worked. There was also a little fridge and microwave in the room which was very convenient. The breakfast was some cereal, prepackaged muffins, juices and milk, so nothing too fancy but still something. Overall quite pleased with the room as we needed something quick, quiet, and clean for one evening at a decent rate and that's just what we got.

Good value for a budget hotel. Super friendly and helpful front desk guy, super comfy beds and great price. I've stayed in way crappier hotels for twice the price. A beautiful SD plains view to the west and Cute sheep next door grazing for my kid to scare as well :-/

Clean and quiet. Easy access of highway.

Was caught in a storm and needed to find shelter for family. Power was out and gentleman let us stay and pay in the morning. So greatful for his kindness.

Not the cleanest but great for a good night's rest. Towels were stained and few items were not workable, but price was fair for the bed and shower.

Pretty gross. Very very old hotel that was really dirty. The room we had was smoking (I dont't smoke) so it had a very strong foul odor. The towels and sheets were stained. However, it was very cheap. Management was okay other than being difficult to understand when it came to booking the room.

Clean! Very friendly staff. Nice flat screen TV, mini fridge and microwave in room. Very firm mattress, decent for price. Would stay again.

2 stars on the AAA scale. Clean and functional, safe area. Minimal continental b'fast. Clean towels were dingy, time for owner to renew them all. Main hall had faint odor of asian/indian cooking from on premises apt. Okay for a former super8, I'd stay here again.

Smart Choice Inn NOT a smart choice! Carpet in room needed to be vacuumed and was sticky. There was hair on back of toilet and in tub. Was promised a baby crib, but when arrived a note was left saying it was broken. No one was at the front desk, either at check-in (at midnight) or check-out (9am). Our key was left in an envelope on the desk with a reciept (with our credit card # on it! ). In the morning a basket was left out to put keys in on the way out. Dirty place with NO service! On a positive note, having a mini-fridge and microwave was nice.

I stopped here for a night as I was driving across the country. It was a decent, safe place to stay for the night, but certainly nothing amazing.
