It's been quiet. Comfy. No pool. No free breakfast. There is coffee and fruit. Parking spaces are a bit tight. Nice owners. There's spearfish creek that runs through town. Walk over to it an the path, it's BEAUTIFUL. Look for the old car in the side of the imbankment.

Full review: Peace and Quiet: This Lodge is quiet and tucked away in Spearfish, making it a great location for a nice getaway and a good night's sleep. We didn't have any issues with noise — not even our Australian Shepherd was concerned with noises and she normally freaks out at things we can't even hear. Location: In addition to the P&C, it's very close to a gas station, some restaurants, a dog park, and other little shops. Spearfish itself is a beautiful city, especially if you check out Spearfish Canyon outside of town. Cleanliness: Spotless! Made me feel comfortable and clean. I don't think I truly appreciated this enough while I was there until I spent a night elsewhere that was a nightmare. No funny smells, no suspicious stains — so nice! Extras: Microwave, mini fridge, cabinets/shelves for food and items. Bathroom was nice and they did good work with utilizing the space to be comfortable and useful. I can't wait to go back!

While the price was a little different than it was on Google it was obvious that they had just renovated the hotel and it was beautiful brand new appliances brand new furniture brand new bedding it was well worth the price.

Suuuuper cheap. Great bed. Amazing value. Huge shower/tub. Definitely going to stay there again.

Awesome staff! Just checked in and there was a booking error on our end, reservation was set at three nights but we only reserved one, so we thought but the staff at the front desk was very curtious and waived the cancellation fee for us! Rooms are very clean and the grounds are very accommodating, and breakfast. We will be staying here again in the near future.

I like this place. The owners are awesome nice people. It may not be the most luxurious place but it isn't some dive hotel either. It is great for some R&R. Affordable, also they offer extended stay rates and they have a 24hr on call in case of late check in or whatever reason you may need their assistance.

This hotel is in the process of being remodeled and was in the earlier stages when I arrived but the rooms were still in good shape. The manager of this place as of Oct 2017 is a straight shooter with good attention to detail that is the perfect person to be in charge of remodeling a place like this. Pros: Clean rooms, good showerheads with a neat mist feature, full selection of TV channels. Outside entrance means no kids running by the door screaming. Competitive prices (make sure to check online as the price they give you at the desk may be a bit more) Cons: Being an older establishment, the walls don't have the best soundproofing. You will hear the muttering of the neighbor's television and other activities which can go well into the night. A pair of earplugs took care of this with complete efficiency. The AC unit when turned on even at the lowest setting left quite a draft directed at the bed which could get unpleasant. I was trying to use the fan setting for white noise but the draft was too much. Overall I'd recommend if you're just looking for a low priced place in Spearfish and can handle the above caveats.

Beautiful layout of the property peaceful and the very kind and friendly woman working was a beautiful sight to be greeted by not to mention very intriguing personality.

The rooms were very clean and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay there! The location is decent as well.

Our stay was clean and comfortable, only thing that could have hit a home run would have been breakfast.

It may not be the most upscale hotel out there. But the owners and staff are just awesome people. And it is a nice place where you can actually get some real R & R.

Well for starters, they were very courteous and offered me the same rate (less than $70) if I wanted to stay 2 nights… which is amazing given the location and the time of year. I still have another full day and night before I check out but I'm pretty sure I will be more than pleased with the Crow Peak.

Not a palace, but you get what you pay for. It is clean and that's what mattered to me.

Stayed at this place twice going to and from Canada and each time was a pleasant experience. The second, however, really solidified this place in my heart. We hit a pheasant on the way back south and it left my bumper torn to pieces and practically hanging off my car. When we asked the manager (who recently started here as well) where to buy zip ties, she directed us no further than her husband who has been fixing up all the rooms in the place and sprucing up the facility. Both were very helpful and very generous and in no time my car looked almost like it has never been involved in a murder most fowl. The facilities themselves look older, but the insides are cozy and the beds are soft. We had a small room both times that was tucked into one of the inner corners. I thought the lack of windows in the room itself were odd (there's a window in the bathroom and one in the door with an inner door to block the light and allow privacy) but let me tell you, waking up in the darkness is such a lovely thing. Cheap rooms do have their perks. This cheap room came with a mini fridge, a microwave, and a slightly run down TV with an eh picture. We didn't need that TV though so it wasn't really a big deal. The air conditioner is located in the bathroom and is VERY powerful. Just time your showers to turning it off and back on and you won't freeze. It cools down our room very quickly, something most hotels have issues with achieving.

Front desk personnel was the best. Most helpful how customer service user to be.

This place sucks. Paid in advence stayed two days and had a medical emergency and had to leave. Would not refund me my last day rent.

We booked a room here a month in advance and showed up that night to find out they overbooked and didn't have any rooms available. We had to travel to a different town to find a room, and then two days later I see on my credit card statement I was still charged for the stay! Now they are giving me the runaround when I'm trying to get a refund. Do not stay here.

We were harassed from day one. The staff were horrible, our door didn't lock (or close), we didn't have hot water, and we were paying WAY too much. 2 days late with the rent, and the mean Asian lady locked us out of our room and refused to let us get our stuff. Had to call the police and have them force her to open it. Went to Bells Motor Lodge, was given a MASSIVE room with it's own Kitchen for half the price, and the staff are 10x friendlier. Never stay at Travelodge.

I had absolutely no problems with this room and the billing of the room. It's not a fancy hotel by any means, but we knew that going in — — — we weren't planning on being in the room much. I booked the room expecting a small room, was very surprised at the size of the room, which was actually 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms and 2 TVs. Office hours are a little unusual, but we managed just fine.

We made a reservation in the afternoon for this motel, that night at 9:20 p. M. We called to cancel the room. We were answered by a answering machine, we left a message. The next morning we called back until a person answered the phone to be sure the room was canceled. We asked if our room had been canceled, they said yes and thank you for calling and leaving us a message. We said again so our room has been canceled. Later that day a message was left on our home phone. We called the number that was left and the person on the phone could not speak english very well and said that becasue we did not call and cancel with in 24 hours that our credit card would be charged. We asked to talk to the manager and he we very rude and stated we had not contacted them correctly and did not give them all the informationand that the room, all fees and penalties would be charged to our credit. We told them, so if we show up you will have our room, correct? He stated, no, but we will charge your card. This a very poor way to make money. I agree with the people below donot give your credit card information to this motel and do not book a stay.

I booked a room here for my family when they helped me move, the lady asked for my credit card, and since I dont have a credit card I gave her my debit card. And I said now this is just to have o file right? your not going to charge my card. She said yes that is correct, the next day I notice they charged my card. Called backk adn they said ti was just a hold. Regardless I gave them my grandmothers credit card number so I could continue to use my bank card. When my family checked into the hotel they asked now this is being charge to adn said my grandmothers name. Credit card. They said yes. Thats correct. A week later my debit card gets charge for twice the amount. It took 4 weeks after that for the money to be put back onto my debit card. I have nothing agains foreigners. But LEARN HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH I doubt I would havee had half the problem if the lady at the from desk could have understood me. ;.
