Great place to stay and just minutes from restaurant’s and recreational areas.

Don't change rooms without informing the customer ahead of time. Don't offer breakfast if all you have is fruit and juice. Don't leave the air off when it's blazing hot all day. Took 3 hours to cool down after an 8 hour drive.

Nice staff and nice room.

The hotel was not in a good area. I was afraid to park my car out back. When I got there my room had a ladder and paint set up. The halls were loud and the room had a slight smell. Not the best.

Really liked the stay. It was nice and clean and had a warm clean pool kids really enjoyed it five stars all the way.

Friendly and efficient staff. Room was clean and supplied with a microwave and fridge. Good selection of free TV channels. Overall, the hotel was clean. Complimentary breakfast was good; many items to choose from. Complimentary coffee available 24 hours.

Not worth the money we paid. They say they are a smoke free hotel but the rooms still smell like smoke after they 'completed' their renovations. If you are sensitive to smoke don't stay here. Also, the hot water in the shower didn't last. I will not stay here again.

I stay here all the time and I absolutely love it! All the rooms are very clean and nice. The staff is so nice. I always feel so at home here.

My boyfriend was called in to fix the carpet that was terribly installed. We were treated great by the owners and staff while we were staying there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who has to come to this awful town! As far as I can tell The Comfort Inn is the best and only nice thing about Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

Great service. They were willing to work with problem that I had and was willing to assist in any way. Rooms were well kept and the price was great for the area. Would recommend.

One of the better hotels in town. Has a pool and sauna. Picnic table out back by the kokosing river. Just a Five minute walk to Ariel Foundation Park and two blocks from downtown's local shopping and night life. New owners and in progress of total remodeling. Pricing is competitive but fair.

Haven’t been there, but I just broke up with my gf and saw your name and was very comforted. 5 stars, would break up with my gf any day.

The walls were so thin that we could hear everything happening in the hallway. There was a dog barking and scratching the door for two hours in the middle of the night that woke up my whole family and several other residents. We complained to the desk after 10 minutes, again after 30, 60, and 90 minutes. They had no policy about how to handle the situation. Then several times while we're trying to sleep the lights turn on because another resident turns their lights on and ours is on the same wireless frequency. It was all around an awful experience and they only refunded about a third of what we paid for the room. I highly recommend you stay somewhere else.

Comfort Inn, Mt. Vernon, OH thurs-sun Arrived and checked in and was told the pool was under maintenance. They gave us points and took money off the bill. I had brought 2 bathing suits because we like to swim after breakfast, around 2 and after dinner. The whole stay the pool was no operational-they should post that on the website so others know they need to go elsewhere if they really want a pool. What was management thinking on a holiday weekend? We had to go out hiking instead, not a big deal but we had to travel to Newark and it was raining Friday. Some nights were noisier than others with others who were staying running and down the hallways after 2am. Room was great, plenty of room. Breakfast was ok, too small for 3 to get around in but they had fresh fruits which other places don’t always carry. Fridge had a huge size freezer. Love the handles on faucets and grab bar in bathroom-don’t ever remove them. Would stay here again but I’d make sure the pool was open or we’d just travel to Newark. No fitness center onsite. One day after room had been cleaned we had to get new keycards made cuz room door would not work.

False advertising. Don't expect to use the advertised whirlpool. Over the course of two years we have stayed at this motel four times and only once were we able to use the whirlpool (and then, only briefly before it stopped working) in the pool area. They always tell us "oh there's something wrong with it but it will be fixed by the time you get here. " Never is.

Had a very good 2 night stay here a couple weeks ago. Kind staff, room was clean, nice pool, nice hot tub, quiet, peaceful, good rates. Near to everything.

Very clean and the swimming pool was great. The kids really enjoyed the breakfast there was a lot to choose from.

This location is somewhat small for large groups but does have a nice location on the bike trail running through Ohio and is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Very nice, clean rooms and helpful staff. The pool looked nice, but we never had time to get in it. The beds were comfortable and the AC VERY cold. Free coffee in each room, and plenty of towels.

The pool was nice and had balls and pool noddles to play with. The rooms came with a 1/2 sized fridge and had free Wi-Fi. Definetly recommend over the other hotels in town.

Well maintained rooms, but a bit on the small side. Friendly service. Good breakfast, but the breakfast room is cramped. Nice pool and hot tub. Convenient to MVNU.
