I was expecting it to be a bit nicer, but it was clean with comfortable beds. The shuttle service to and from the park was great! Loved the heated pool that was open til midnight and being able to view the fireworks from KI poolside every night was an added bonus. Will stay there again.

3 stars But satisfied because we didn't expect everything to be fantastic. Price for Kings Island tickets And the shuttle service too and from the hotel is what made this a great deal. (5 stars for price and that shuttle service is fantastic) The hotel room had everything you need (hair dryer, iron and ironing board, wet drying rack, dresser, refrigerator, microwave, tv, table and chairs, extra towels for the pool were nearby the pool). The bathtub is not very wide to take your shower. The toilet seat seemed cheap and not very sturdy. The exhaust fan cover in bathroom needed cleaned. The air conditioning settings were only High and off. Woke up every night to turn it off from being too cold. We used a chair with a towel on it too stop the air-conditioning from blowing directly where your head lies on the bed. Staff friendly, price great, shuttle service to Kings Island are the pros. If you have toddlers or baby's I would recommend staying at a more expensive hotel. If you didn't save up for nicer hotel, don't have toddlers/babies, can tough out the small bathroom and the annoying air conditioning unit, then I recommend this hotel.

Great location for going to Kings Island. Having the shuttle to and from Kings Island was definitely a perk. The staff was friendly and accommodating! The room was clean. The front desk clerk was great! I would recommend this hotel if you're just coming up for a night or two in order to go to Kings Island.

Looking at the area stays for a family vacation, I took a chance with Super 8 and glad I did. The cost was very affordable, the location is superb (walking distance to 3 restaurants), they offer regular shuttle service to Kings Island (which is one exit away), the pool was well maintained (chlorine lil high, but not like the Y) and breakfast was decent. It's not high end, but great for a family getaway.

Stayed Fri-Sun with my family of 6. Chose this location because we were going to Kings Island and the hotel shuttle takes you to every hour and picks up 15min of every hour. The staff was friendly, they gave us a crib for my infant, the breakfast was basic but provided as stated, pool was warm, business computer slowwww but available. Grocery, gas and entertainment all near by. Besides the room being small and beds being uncomfortable we Enjoyed our stay.

Front desk service and cleaning service was great. Just didn't like that the outside pool stayed open til midnight. Kids running around everywhere all night long. It was perfect location for the days we stayed it was not far from our attractions we did.

It's more of a hotel than a motel. Rooms were adequate beds are somewhat comfortable sheets were stained had holes in them. The geese in the pond next door is nice and the convenience to Kings Island and many restaurants, overall it's an alright budget stay with random shower temp and Awful is the bathrooms constantly flushing cause none of the torlet worked well. All ways changing shower temp … thin walls. Needs a face lift bad.

Room was nice but lacked the decor we are used to in super 8. Was surprised at how far we had to park from our room and the fact that it was upstairs after I told them we had a service dog. Also that my children had to walk pretty far to get more towels and soap as they would not bring them to our room. Otherwise the waffles for breakfast looked delicious though we couldn't stay for breakfast.

The room was old and in need of remodeling. It was raining and water was pouring from the second floor walkway in front of our door on the ground level. The room was very small. Breakfast was crowded and took 30 minutes to make a waffle with the line. Flow was very unorganized due to the crowd. Too few selections to eat. No fruit. One type of muffin. Bread for toast. Two types of cold cereal and oatmeal. And of course the fiasco that was the waffle line. Very disappointed and will never visit this chain again.

Worst place I've ever stayed! Very outdated! Ask for a non smoking room, gave me smoking, they wouldn't switch it. Omg the smell reeked! Even there clean, towels had yellow stains on them from previous smokers! Breakfast was a joke! Unless you just want a waffle!

I love that my parents found this hotel to stay on when they came in for my son's graduation from kansas. It was a little further than they wanted to be but it was the closest they could find. Free Wi-Fi. Free breakfast. Clean nice rooms. Big flat screen with cable. Also my 2 year old niece was with them and they were able to get a room directly in front of the park and pool. Unfortunately the pool was not open yet because they came before memorial day but I can tell u it was already looking nice cool and ready for opening day.

Room was clean and quiet, outdoor pool area was nice. Continental breakfast included a waffle maker. Even the room coffee wasn't bad. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

You get what you pay for, and we didn't want to pay much lol Bathroom had tiles you could tell they tried to replace, but they weren't properly applied. Hair in the shower, so thank goodness I showered before we left our house. The best part about this hotel is that the Are (513) Bar and Grill is right next door. Breakfast in the morning is all pantry/refrigerated items, no hot food. If you are looking for somewhere just to sleep, this will do the trick. We only stayed to attend King's Island, which is what most people do.

Right of the interstate, clean rooms. Free Wi-Fi, friendly and helpful staff. The free breakfast smelled good, but I didn't have any. Extremely close to Kings Island, we could see the fireworks from our room. Will definitely stay again.

The room was good for such a cheap price! If you just need a cheap place to stay for the night, this is perfect. Good breakfast.

The bed was too firm for my liking and I was taken back by the door not being by the actual bathroom. For what it's worth, it's not too shabby. Good for a one or two night stay.

Pretty friggin gross room. See pics. Non-smoking room smells like weed. Heater doesn't regulate temperature well — — it's either too hot or too cold, never just right. Way too much freeway noise coming through due to a big gap above the door; but if you like drafts this is the room for you! Bed is hard as a rock, and this is coming from someone who prefers a firm mattress. Would never stay here again. Nasty.

An excellent place to spend the night.

Location was great, the room was a little damaged but was clean. It did have a little of a smell to it when we first walked in. The bed was really firm and not too good to sleep on, I think it would of felt better on my back to sleep on the floor. But it is a older motel so what do you expect.

The staff is friendly and attentive. The room was clean. A waffle mix dispenser with a waffle iron for fresh waffles was a pleasant surprise. There is plenty of parking. Overall a very good value for the money.

A two star in every way. Mostly 2 because it's close to lots of food places or it could be a 1.

Its the nicest super 8 I've ever stayed at and I've stayed at a lot! Me and my 2 kids and my boyfriend loved it! Staff was nice and they have a lot of little amenities which make it more pampered than most motels/hotel's. Obviously if u r up here stay at Super 8 in Mason Ohio ✌! The pics I post were me n my kids n my boyfriend tha1st night we wer there but the last photo is my kids playing at tha playground that was right outside my room. It really is a good place to stay.

Decent clean rooms, water pressure and temperature good, bed comfortable, TV works with lots of channels, refrigerator microwave hair dryer all work, heat and air conditioning work, Wi-Fi worked, only problem the shower on spigot was stuck on so I couldn't fill the bathtub just used the shower to fill. No noise but it was a Sunday night and it wasn't busy.

Rooms are clean and has a decent bed. Water is warm and has pressure… what else can I say. It is an inexpensive hotel to stay at that's clean and has breakfast in the mornings.

Standard budget hotel. Convenient location, close to all types of restaurants, shopping. Just across the interstate from kings island. Rooms are pretty spacious, with couch, dresser, Jacuzzi tub, refrigerator, microwave, desk. Bar and grill in the same parking lot.

It's affordable, clean, and comfortable. I've never seen anything gross while here. I stay here when I'm visiting friends and have never had a problem. Staff is courteous and the breakfast is really good. The playground is cute too. 5 out of 5 for what an inexpensive motel should be.

Limited breakfast and beds seemed dated but cleanly otherwise. Also no door between toilet/ shower and sink area, only one to close it all off; inconvenient for multiple people.

Very clean and professional motel. It was reasonable in price for the area. Also loved Thirsty's Oasis about 100 ft in front of motel. Great food and drinks.

The website pictures for the rooms here look much better than the rooms look in real life. Trashy place. We got a suite. It was a joke to call it that. A regular room with a door to a room half the size that they used to use as a room. The door to the outside still there. Pillow cases had dried semen on it. Bed looked like someone had already slept in it. Desk chair was wobbly and it's seat, back and legs had dried semen on them. At this point we were already looking at getting our money back and staying somewhere else. Then we tried to use the restroom. That was the final things — feces on the underside of the toilet lid and right above the handle to flush. We went to the lobby. They said no refunds after checking in. We told the hotel manager/owner who had just come on duty what we had found in the room. He said "That's impossible. My ladies do not do that (leave the rooms in that condition without cleaning them). But I believe you. " Which one is it? Do you believe me or are you calling me a liar? They ended up giving us about suite. It didn't seem as dirty, but the tub had awful, thick soap scum in it. People were tromping around all night upstairs, people yelling and making load noises outside the doors at all hours of the night, interstate noises sounding like it was just outside your door. My advice is not to stay here. I know I will never stay here again!

The staff snuck in my room while I was at work thank goodness I had someone in there who witnessed it. They took my cash said the receipt machine was down then later knocked on my door and said I didn't pay. Of course I had no proof and they wouldn't watch the cameras. They gave me a bill for random fees and called mason police when I denied the charges I stayed there almost a month and that is how they treated me. It is old and out dated. They do not have a gym as advertised. They need to lower their price or better their service. It felt racially profiled. This place is not to be trusted. I stayed here for an extended time and was not treated respectfully. No special weekly rates for me when I stayed. Would not return or recommend.

This wasn't my first choice but due to Jazz festival all hotels in area were double in price for the weekend. So this fit my budget. Our room was clean, mattress's were new and comfortable. Yes I checked for bed bugs and ther were NONE! Had a mini fridge and small microwave and coffee maker. For an older hotel/motel I was pleased. The Pool is wonderful. Open til midnight. Plenty of lounge chairs and tables. Great covered patio. It was great to come back from Kings Island and the kids could play in the pool. Nice breakfast in the morning. Waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereal, muffins, juice and coffee. Family that owns it was very nice. Would stay again.

I read all the reviews on here and was a little nervous upon arrival. We booked 3 rooms months in advance when we got here they weren't next to each other. Went back to the front desk he switched us so we were all in a row. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Tore all 3 rooms apart to look for bed begs like other reviews stated they had and seen nothing and I tore it apart even took headboard off wall. Nice pool breakfast is pretty cool. Obviously it's not going to be a 5 star luxury hotel but for what it is it's absolutely perfect. People on here complaining expect to pay the cheap prices this hotel has and then expects it to be the best hotel in the world. In conclusion we had 3 rooms all of which were clean, staff is friendly, and overall a nice hotel.

My husband and I got there early they let us check in we got to spend a whole afternoon in the huge pool they have there to ourselves nice n peaceful later was a different story but they were all having fun. The oasis bar excellent walk through the parking lot. Rooms were nice and the bus that takes you to kings island is so convenient we will continue to stay here.

Nice man Raj… checked me n accessibility to room great!. Supposed to b non smoking reaks of smoke too tired to ask for a change toilet has ashes n it and dried pee in the back! … Gross…

Its old and can use a coat of paint but for 50 bucks not bad.

This location is great, next to Kings island. Bath room could have been cleaner.

Nice rooms friendly staff but they should allow their guess to check in early without paying $20 to do so. That's not good at all… I has to go across the street to Baymount Inn who allowed me to check in early without paying…

Clean room, nothing fancy. Good place for just crashing for the night, which is all we really did. Could use more outlets for charging devices, but no complaints.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Close to lots of restaurants and the freeway make it handy. Free shuttle to Kings Island was great. Rooms were clean and comfortable (used my own pillows but I have to whenever I travel). Bathroom was old and seemed dirty — couldn't tell if it wasn't cleaned well or if it was old and needing repairs (or a combination of the two). Overall a nice place to stay for a day at Kings Island.

Good place to stay overnight or more. Staffs are friendly. Rooms are clean. Swimming pool is outdoor and very clean. You could reserve from Priceline or just walk up to the front desk. Highly recommended. Very close to Kings Island, The beach, and Great Wolfe Lodge.

I didn't like this stay at all. Looking at the pictures of the rooms on their website it looked nice. When I got there it wasn't like the pictures showed. It's false advertisement. I ran into several problems. First we had to wait forever to get a room. When we got to the room it had a old musty smell. It's wasn't clean at all. The refrigerator in the room wasn't cold at all. The beds are super hard and the sheets are all stained up and dirty. The bathtub was chipped, the spout was broke and the shower head barely worked, the toilet water supply leaked. We fount dirt in the desk drawer. We passed some of the employees and wasn't greeted not even asked if everything was ok… I'm not very happy at all about my stay at this Super 8.

Stayed two nights, room was clean, ac was cold, free breakfast was good. Stayed in non smoking room. There wasnt any fowl smell in the room. (Which is a big deal to me, been in a couple hotels before that have that "old" smell, yuck)! Real close to kings island. They run a shuttle there every hour. (5-10 min drive). Great value for the price. Dont spend extra $ on the "suite". Looked at it first, because it wasnt too much more, but the one couch in there looked 100 years old and worn. The "hot tub" is in the bathroom, next to the toilet. (Just stick to the basic rooms). Only bad thing is that there was only one lawn chair next to pool, they had little plastic chairs and tables to sit. Nice new deck next to pool, to get out of the sun.

The air conditioning stunk. They didn't bother to tell us that our room was at the edge of a very, very active pool and playground and the quiet hours didn't start until midnight. The toilet seat was broken. They said the room would sleep 5 but the pull out sleeper chair was atrocious-worn out, ripped, lumpy. The sheets were waaaay too big for it too. When all this was brought to their attention they did absolutely nothing.

Good basic motel. Comfortable bed. Reliable Wi-Fi. Friendly front desk staff. Close to a variety of restaurants and amusement parks. Would recommend for budget-minded folks who are just looking for a place to crash as the end of the day.

It was a decent experience! Just a few things that kinda made us mad, they adverise for a free shut ride to Kings Island and they told us that they where not running the shuttle both days they was there. Also, they advertise for a heated swimming pool but at night its cold as ice. Other than those things its a nice place to stay and convenient.

Location provides good access to several amenities. Smelled like someone had smoked in our non smoking room, but otherwise was clean. Comfy beds.

I so appreciated how spotless my room was. It was a fantastic room. Only one thing I suggest, if a microwave and fridge is important to you, remember to make sure you reserve a room that includes these items. My dog loved walking around the pond that's on the premises.

My family and I was there from July 3rd to July 5th 2015 and we loved it. We got the King suite and all the beds was nice and clean. Now the only problem we had was the pull outs was a little worn out but was sleep able. I can not tell you about the breakfast cause when we went in there it was so full you could not get in. But the workers and the room was great. We will for sure stay here again our next time up that way. Also you can not beat the free shuttle to Kings Island back and forth and the pool was very clean. We even had a few talks with other travelers that was by us as well. Everyone was just as nice as the next. Thanks Super 8!

Ok for an overnight stay but couldn't wait to leave. Room was dirty, bathroom light didn't work, tub was ridiculously filthy. Itched all night in the bed. Breakfast the next morning left me with stomach issues for about half a day. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning. Spend a few dollars more somewhere else. It will be worth it.

Liked the proximity to Kings Island, however, they advertise a free shuttle but when we got there on Tuesday they said it only ran on the weekends. We even called to confirm there was a shuttle and no one let us know it was only certain days. Questionable blood red stain in stairwell and room smelled like wet dog. Breakfast tasted good but caused gastrointestinal problems almost immediately. Staff was polite but there was a language barrier.

This was the scariest place I've ever been to. My boyfriend and I started off driving to Arkansas to New York and we stopped here for the night. After being in the car ALL day — it is now 1am. We entered the building to get a room and we had to have been waiting for at least ten minutes for someone to come to the counter. A guy finally came in from an outside alleyway of the building with no uniform or indication that he worked there. He reeked of pot. He asked if he could help us and obviously we asked for a room. So we left the main building to go outside to get to our room. With all this happening, I didn't mind all too much. Upon entering the room, it smelled really strange, I noticed a couple rips in a chair, and there was a quarter sized dent/puncture in the wall. I convinced myself that because this was a motel and not a high class hotel that this was okay. My boyfriend and I threw our stuff on the bed, and I went into the bathroom. I took one glance into the bath tub to see ants crawling all over inside and around the exterior of the tub. There was also mold. I was then horrified to find a spider crawling around the shower head. I turned right around and told my boyfriend that I could not stay here. He went into the bathroom and was equally as disgusted. Upon looking in the sink a big, black spider that was not there before emerged from the flood drain on the side.

Not the best, but you can only expect so much from a cheap motel. As far as that matter, it wasn't all that bad. Although it was aged, the bathroom was very neat and clean. It was freezing when we first came in due to the fact that it had been vacant for a while and it was — 5 outside. We just turned the heater up full blast and about ten to fifteen minutes later we were fine. I suggest if you are looking for something fancy then this is not the place. If you just need an affordable place to rest for a bit then in that case its perfect.

The service staff is slow. The morning brunch is very very basic. It's over priced for the bare minimum you get.

Worst hotel ever! It took 12 hours to warm the room up. There was a strong wind blowing through the bolted door. We asked the manager for more blankets. There are none. The floor was filthy. I only hope those stains were red coolaide. The advertised price was 15 dollars than what I was charged. Staff just argued with me when I brought it to their attention. I will never ever ever stay at another super 8 as long as I live. Worst experience ever.

BED BUGS, need I say more. We did a quick inspection of the room upon entry and we found a bug, took a video of it and went to front office. The lady was not even surprised and checked us out without question, we were there a total of 5 minutes. It was later we found out that Columbus was infested with bed bugs and compared the video of the bug we found to internet photos. Confirmed bed bugs. The positive reviews have to be managers of this facility, because the room was disgusting. From Michigan.

When we walked in it looked like someone had an orgy in it. The beds were destroyed, the room was a mess, and it smelled horrible. We then went down and told the desk about the room and asked if they gave us the right room. They replied with "Yes, why wouldn't we have". And we told them the room they gave us was a mess and obviously someone else had already stayed in it. Then then threw a fit and gave us another room. This room was in the back of the complex and we had to pass about 30 bed bug infested mattresses to go to our "wonderful" room. This room also smelled, the door didn't shut all the way, had no AC and it was in the middle of summer. There was at least an inch gap under the door once we finally got the door to close. We proceeded to go to the restroom where there were cockroaches in the tube and sink. There was dust on the beds and the floor, and the television didn't work. We then went to the desk to ask for our money back and to not stay there, and after a very long argument they finally gave us our money back. Horrible don't stay here! save money.

I honestly was worried when my fiance insisted on getting this hotel based on the location. After looking at the reviews I was seriously scared that when we opened the door we would be hit with a smell, dirty room, and uncomfortable beds. I am SO glad we chose this hotel. Bed was comfy and so were the pillows. Air worked great. Shower turned from hot to warm but no biggie. There was a stain on the chair and the floor but again nothing that made me feel dirty. The pool could have used a scrubbing around the top tiles of the wall but besides that the water was clean and they provided towels pool side. The breakfast was basic. Cereal, make your own waffles, biscuits and gravy, muffins, milk, juice, and coffee. Although get there early because after 8 you will be waiting in line for about 30 minutes to get your food. The shuttle bus to and from Kings Island was a big plus, saved us 12 bucks and was there as soon as we walked out of the park. Thirstys Bar and Grill is pretty much in the same parking lot which was nice to be able to walk to and from especially for drinks. Also, KI had fireworks and we were able to see them from the room. I would stay there again.
