Very friendly desk staff who were willing to spend 10+ minutes solving our problem. Handicap rooms were very well maintained, clean all around. Good assortment of breakfast foods. Pool equipment seemed to be sprawled everywhere, otherwise pristine hotel. Enjoyed my stay very much. Polite housekeeping.

The room was comfortable and split up well with a living a sleeping area. The small kitchen in the room was serviceable with two burners a sink and a dishwasher. There were enough pots and pans to make a decent meal for the family. We had two nights of loud teenagers running the hall but the rest of the stay was great and quiet. The pool was taken care of but the hot tub had been filled in. I remembered it from a stay years ago. The breakfasts were good in the morning with a different protein each day. There are pastries and a waffle maker to use. Coffee and different types of juice are also offered. On weekday evenings there are snacks and small meal options with water and soda early in the evening. The hotel is within close proximity of at least 15 restaurants and many places to go shopping. Withing two minutes of the highway for easy access to go around the city.

Way nicer than I expected for the price. Rooms were sleek, modern, and clean. I have stayed in smaller apartments. Multiple big screen TVs, a Blu Ray player, and a well equipped kitchenette. Plus hot breakfast in the morning with eggs, sausage, waffles, potato cakes, etc. All for a good price. I was pleasantly surprised.

They scrwed up our reservation we booked six months ago… There is no door in the bed room song have to listen to my bunk mate snore all night… Wake up to shower and the towels are as rough as sandstone. Fairly clean nice room but needs updated things like making sure the TV work.

Room was not properly stocked with towels/toiletry items. Beds are comfortable. Hotel was a bit dirty and a few areas were run down some. Breakfast is included but did not have many options.

Been staying in Wyndham hotels for the past 5 years in Ohio. The reward points are something I look forward, when I plan my vacations. Do not stay if you work out of town for long periods of time and collect reward points. Shana will deny your points, If you go through a hotel booking service. I went from 68 bucks a night to 98 due to her. Not staying there anymore. Moving to the next Wyndham.

Was an amazing stay! So clean and modern and big enough for our 4 children and 2 adults! And the kitchen was amazing so I saved money on eating out and just cooked in the room!

My group reserved and stayed in three separate rooms. Each of the couches had god-knows-what white stains on there. The chair and a wall in our suite had dried cola splatters. The tiles around the pool are overly slick. Protein at breakfast was limited to scrambled eggs. There was a small amount of sausage in the sausage gravy, so there's that. Front desk staff took photocopies of my wife's license and debit card (that's activity that's ripe for identity theft) due to their system "being down".

The pictures on their site are pretty spot on. The room was in decent condition. The sheets did seem dirty and the pillows… do yourself a favor and bring yours from home if possible. The breakfast our first day was not good either. The second day was a major improvement. Also, they had no extra towels in all of the hotel or even pool towels.

This place COULD be nice if staff was different. Front desk person was rude and unprofessional. She refused to move us to a two bed room when that is what we had requested when booking. We are two 40+ yr old brothers traveling together and it has been 35 years since we had to share a bed until stayed at this place. The worst part was we overheard her offer other room choices, including a two bed option, to some women checking in about 30 minutes later. Needless to say and without further statements… this was clearly racial issue.

The room and service was gorgeous… breakfast was delicious too! Wish I would have had time in the pool… but great otherwise.

Nice looking hotel that had everything we were looking for. The bed and couch were really comfortable. Pool was nice and the breakfast was more then what we expected for a hotel.

Nice quiet hotel with a good breakfast. Check in took longer than expected but they gave me a nice room. Update — I have been staying here for the past month and going home on weekends for work. The last few times there have been issues with the Wi-Fi, so I will probably be going someplace else starting next week. Gotta have internet access!

Very nice hotel. Full kitchen in the room. Very clean. Water was lukewarm at best.

Room was clean and staff was polite. Breakfast was meh, and pretty much first come first serve. Heater/AC would kick off and on throughout the night and aounding like a jet engine. Elevator sounded like it was on its last wire.

My family and I enjoyed the evening at the Hawthorn Suites very much. The room was very nice. The swimming area my family really enjoyed.

My husband booked thru Hotwire since our hot water heater broke. The rooms are pretty nice, spacious and has a kitchen. However, there was no Wifi and the hot tub was out of order. They said they were implementing a new system therefore no Wifi. The reason for the 1 star is the lack of customer service. Even after our Hotwire payment, Hawthorn charged us multiple times. We didn't notice it until the day after when we went back to book one more night directly with the hotel. The woman behind the counter said she's not sure how this happened. The charges totaled to over $550, none of which was correct. My husband was there on two separate occasions where he spent well over an hour each time to try to get our account credited immediately. You would think with all of the time involved to correct their mistakes and the inconvenience, we'd receive our 2nd night for free but was only offered $10 off. They did not seem to care. We will not be back.

Well… Our first room smelled like smoke. They did switch us to another room. The hot tub was out of order. The elevator was on the fritz when we first got there so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. The rooms were nicely furnished though and the breakfast in the morning was nice. Would try again but hopefully they resolve some of these issues.

I stayed this past weekend at the Hawthorn Suites, Columbus West. No one was at the desk when we needed more towels, then we had to go to the desk for them. We were lucky to get a sheet and blanket for the pullout, no pillow. Breakfast no one around to replenish food, which was not hot. Waffles were good. Elevator didn't work a few times and we had to use stairs. It was a good location for our purpose.

This is all older property that has received some upgrades. The room was nice and spacious with upgraded appliances, though, structurally, it showed signs of aging. In general, it was just average… not bad, but better properties could be found for the price.

The hotel was perfectly nice and well-maintaned. The only problem I had during my one night there eas a loud group of kids in the hallway. Besides that, it was fine.

The staff was friendly and helpful. However the hotel is in some level of disrepair. We did not have hot water for showers. There are stains on the walls and in the tub. The Wi-Fi only worked for 5 minutes at a time and dropped connections consistently. The furniture is significantly worn. The breakfast was ok. Standard Gordon food service egg patties and nondescript cheese danishes. However my wife did find some moldy bagels, after I ate one. The first night our hallway smelt strongly of smoke, perhaps not even cigarette. The hot tub is drained and out of order. Overall the staff is doing the best they can it seems — — things are out of their control or mistakes were made. I can get over that. And really the hotel is just aged a bit. It could use a touch up. This isn't uncommon as it is a part of the hotel boom of the late nineties or early 00s and those places are showing some age — — all of them. I wouldn't avoid this hotel just know it's a little older.

Very clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing, so friendly, helpful, and even entertaining.

My in laws always stay here and look forward to coming to visit because of this place… Not sure if that's a good thing or not but they always rave about this place.

The rooms were clean and well kept. Service was quick and friendly too.

Hot tub was out of order. Also, the Kitchen doesn't have enough cooking supplies. Otherwise, pretty decent room and hotel.

Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was mediocre. But, beware if you have a pet! We booked the room on Priceline — the price was slightly higher than the other pet friendly hotels in the Columbus area but we gave it a chance. Bad idea! After we had checked in, the credit card processed for incidentals and keys accepted, the desk agent asked if we had a pet. We said we had a cat and wham! We are informed of a $75 pet fee! We have stayed in other pet friendly hotels booked on Priceline and the price of the room included the pet. There is no mention of the $75 fee on their Priceline listing. We expressed our resentment of the "gotcha" fee but got no where with the hotel. Wyndham, the franchisor, did graciously refund us the $75 but we will never stay at a Hawthorn suites again — the independently owned hotels are free to mislead their guests. Caveat Emptor!

Stayed here a week ago by myself for a class in town. Was very close to everything that I needed in town if I decided to pick up groceries or go out to eat. The room was very clean and spacious for what I needed. The kitchenette was very clean as well and stocked with whatever was needed. However when I left my dish by the sink for housekeeping after my breakfast, it was still there that next evening when I returned. Also, the room I was in, the bathroom ceiling was falling apart and the tub was peeling some sort of layer in it. I was very appreciative that the gentleman at the front desk kept me close to the elevator since I was by myself. Breakfast in the morning was delish and everything was warm when I went down. I definitely will stay here again if I am ever on that side of town.

Great Rooms, reasonably priced. Friendly staff, nice breakfast choices available. Would have been 5 stars but the hot tub was out of service while I was there.

Very clean and well maintained. Rooms looked to be remodeled, felt very welcoming. I love how unlike other places, this hotel already had the dishes, cups, pots n pans, etc already in the room waiting for usage, I didn't have to go to the lobby and ask for them. I will definitely be booking them again in the future.
