Spent almost $400 on a suite for the night and our room had no heat. We went to bed and noticed it was 68 in the room and turned the heat up to 80, woke up and it was 66 degrees. We mentioned it at the desk on the way out and they said “oh, we’ve been having that issue lately, I’m sorry”… umm… what? Also, for a luxury hotel it seems ridiculous that you can’t access a guide on the TV, nor do they have smart TVs to log in to your streaming services or anything. Definitely won’t be back, not worth the money.

Love having this central location to all the highlights of downtown & the ambiance and spacious rooms and wonderful amenities. Summertime is perfect time to experience rooftop bar Azure & the Ledger Bar as well!

My absolute favorite hotel in the greater Cleveland area. Staff is top notch and the accommodations are first class. I took my mom and her sisters as a retirement celebration and they LOVED the rooms. Thank you for making one of our family memories very special. And a special thanks to the manager.

This is a fancy hotel at its finest! I stayed last week for a few days until my sister had her wedding on the rooftop of the building. I especially loved how comfy the beds were!

Our compliments to the chef, my husband really enjoyed his short ribs. He said they were so good he'd go back to the hotel just to get the ribs again. Bar tender at the ledger was super energetic and knowledgeable. We could tell he enjoys his craft. Ended our evening in the vault. Very cool vibe and loved that we had our own space. Excellent set-up for social distancing.

Do yourself a favor — stay literally ANYWHERE else in Cleveland. The hotel directly across the street is phenomenal and the rooms are gorgeous.
Let’s start from the beginning. My wife and I traveled to Cleveland to celebrate our recent reimagined Covid wedding. We booked our stay with the hotel roughly a month earlier via Hotels. For the most part I had an Amazing time, despite 1 or 2 employees it was great.

Maintenance staff is incredible. Leasing office is incredibly ineffective.

Very Beautiful Hotel lots of things to do but we would probaly wont stay there again. We had a problem with a annoying loud noise in our room at 4:00am after numerous calls to the front desk and finally going down to the front desk someone came up and immediately went to the fireplace and found the problem and stopped the noise. He said that there's 4 or 5 rooms that has a projector problem inside of the fireplace. He Apologized to us and stated that we would a phone call from upper management the following day and also he would email them about the concern upon checking out we had not heard anything from management we asked to speak to someone about our concern seeing that we had to listen to this annoying sound for over 3 hours when speaking to management He was unaware of our concern and stated that he had not checked his emails for the day even though it was mid-afternoon. He was very Unapologetic and seemed very unconcerned. He said the only thing he could do was offer us 5000 points toward our next visit and walked. For $500 a night I found that to be a INSULT! for those prices we should have been treated way better than that and not have any problems at all. They can keep the 5000 points and retrain their staff to give top notch treatment since their charging top notch prices.

Love this place real beautiful place the food is great tomos are excellent. And it's close to Jack Cleveland casino Heinen's Supermarket right next door I love it.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel! Our suite was unbelievable! One of the best steaks we've ever had was at Adega. We will definitely be back.

There is not a better hotel in Cleveland. The RSRV lounge, rooftop bar, and the mezzanine bar were incredible. Don't even look at other hotels.

Just a beautifully appointed hotel, fantastic restaurant, unbelievable food, great bars, weight room and suites. Our room is overlooking the Indians stadium and the views are fantastic.

Just well thought out. Nice attention to detail. Great amenities. Decent quality toiletries. If you cant be home, this is a good place to be. I really like the welcome basket, perks.

Service and amenities here were excellent. I've been in a lot of hotels all around the world and I can say this one stands out. The rooftop bar was spectacular and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Room service was quick and friendly.

I've stayed at the 9 on prior trips to Cleveland; the rooms are sumptuous and this hotel has my favorite fitness center of any Marriott property in the vicinity (I've also stayed at the Residence Inn and Renaissance). The Vault bar has great cocktails, and an interesting vibe — — laid out in a series of small rooms that feel intimate for a group of guests or couple, but perhaps secluded as an individual. The Rooftop bar has a great view of the city but I wish service was a little more consistent in late hours; you'll have to make your way to the bar for any drinks with no servers making the rounds.

3rd time and it's still a charm! Due to travel conflicts, hubster and I have enjoyed this place on separate occasions — happy hour at Azure's Rooftop and a Wedding reception at the vault. This time we enjoyed it together with dinner at Adega's, drinks at the Vault and Azure's. Everyone was friendly. We enjoyed a champagne toast together and our room! Glad we were able to explore the hotel before and after the Indian's game. Looking forward to a future stay!

We went to the rooftop bar and the vault bar in the basement. The rooftop was nice, we could see the Indians game and the breeze was nkce. The vault bar was incredible. The drinks were all hand crafted and the bartenders made the difference. The atmosphere is amazing and we got some great pictures! I'll be back!

Excellent hotel for a Leisure not so much business stay. You can make all of your accommodations with Under One Roof there's no need to leave from the Metropolitan 9 unless you're going to the ballpark or the football field, other than that the Metropolitan 9 is the place to be. Great atmosphere with a lot of great and fun people to me, hang out at the Rooftop Bar azure or mosey on down into the basement to the famous vault nightclub which is breathtaking and unlike your typical nightclub. If you are a hard worker and you looking for some fun and play this is the place to stay.

I can't express enough how much I LOVED this place. Came for a wedding and had an absolute blast. The rooftop bar has a beautiful view of downtown Cleveland and would recommend to anyone and everyone. The staff from the valet parking to the front desk were great! I loved it so much that I didn't want to go home.

This is a beautiful hotel in Downtown Cleveland with a prominent location on East 9th. The staff is friendly and outgoing, and the premises are new. The Azure Lounge overlooks the city of Cleveland and offers great drinks. Adega located downstairs serves excellent Mediterranean food. Valet staff is friendly. The atmosphere is youthful and upbeat! I would highly recommend this location for business and personal travel.

Everything was amazing. The check-in was flawless, the room was great, and the bars and restaurants I went to were all really nice. I would definitely stay there again.

Room was good. Hotel staff were good. Main issue was the valet parking… they damaged a rental car and took absolutely zero ownership of it. It went so far as to they had altered to initial drop off ticket to reflect a dent on arrival. Horrible business practice. I'd stay at the hotel again, however I'd recommend not parking with their valet service.

I did not stay the night here but I visited two bars inside. Very beautiful contemporary decor. I know others who stayed and the rooms are really nice. I will definitely come back to visit.

Great room, service and location! We stayed in a king suite for our 15 year wedding anniversary. The suite was wonderful and large (about the size of two rooms). I don't think photos do a good job of conveying how large the suites are. It was nicely priced for how impressive it was. Upon returning from dinner, we were surprised by a bottle of wine and two slices of vanilla bean cake. It was a nice touch to end a great evening. The staff really pays attention to details.

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Our stay was perfection. From the chocolate strawberries and champagne for my husband's birthday to the spacious room. Will definitely return for out next special occasion.

I just recently stay at this hotel and I will say it is the BEST hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! I stay about 75 nights a year in hotels and this one is a gem. I will be back to Cleveland for pleasure next time and will stay here for sure. Staff is incredible, John floor R for breakfast and Mike for evening cocktails. AMAZING people.

We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday "in style" at The 9. We had awesome drinks at The Vault where the bartenders were so friendly. She and her 8 friends loved the rooms and felt like they were celebrities for the night. Thanks for a wonderful 21st birthday memory!

Recently had my wife's Birthday celebration here. The hotel was extremely accommodating and friendly to our whole party. All of the on-property establishments were excellent. If you stay on the reserve floor be sure to say hello to Fernando! He went above and beyond and is an exceptional host.

By far, one of the best hotels I've been to. Considering that I spent 90 nights in hotels last year alone, I have many points of comparison. The hotel is very stylish, yet functional. The service is impeccable and the food is a tasty work of art. If you are staying in downtown Cleveland, this is hands down the best place to stay.

Definitely a nice hotel to stay with. Several bars on different levels each with their own unique features. Great showers and products. Excellent TV in the room if you're into that. There's a restaurant in the hotel as well but you're down town so options in the area are great. Staff is excellent.

My room was absolutely fabulous, staff check us in very quick and valet always had our car quick. Clean comfy bed, great suite for couples. Very romantic.

We had our family rent an apartment there for few months so they can avoid the Florida heat and had the pleasure to stay here few times. The hotel is really nice and the restaurant is great. However, I would avoid at all cost having them park our car. AVOID their valet service! Upon returning my car, my entire car was covered in rusted metals that have fell down on my car while parked. Not sure if it was some rusted steel from the garage or what. When I inquired about it with the Valet, their response was "The city should pay for it if you complain". What does the city have to do with your service, your parking etc? It was the most ridiculous response ever. From that falling rust, I have damages all over my car. I will be contacting my insurance and see what steps they will take as I've provided pictures from the valet when they returned my car with the metal pieces on my car.

The hotel is very nice with loads of ammentities. The room was very nice and very unique compared to others in downtown. Very close to all the goods Cleveland has to offer. My only complaint was the pillows in the room were very uncomfortable. Bring your own if you can.

Very disappointing visit over holiday. Room was worn down looking. Especially carpet and bed linen. Wet, dirty, towels left in shower, assuming from previous guest. Sticky film covered coffee table and TV remote (very gross) At checkout their were added charges and taxes on bill no one could explain. Staff not very helpful. Place is a horrible value for money. Wouldn't recommend. Much nicer places elsewhere.

I just want to say that The 9 is the best, absolutely magnificent. I want to say thank you to David Binion the resident head mixologist of The 9 and his staff and the Vault for helping pull off the perfect proposal. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and welcoming. If you have to choose a place to stay or just have a drink or throw a party I recommend hands down the Metropolitan 9 and the Vault.

The 9 is a place worth visiting if you are looking for one of the most upscale hotel/night life scenes in Cleveland. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the enormously large but classy establishment. Highly recommend!

Hotel was is a great location, close walk for any activity. Rooms were very nice and clean. Staff was always friendly and knowledge about any question we had.

What a fabulous stay from the customer service at the curb, to checking in to the birthday surprise extra waiting for us when we got back to the room last night. The room was gorgeous. This is one classy place that we highly recommend for anyone staying in downtown Cleveland. It wasn't our first stay, and it definitely won't be our last. Thank you for a memorable stay!

This may have just become my all time favorite Hotel. Let me start by saying that I am extremely particular about hotels and even more the customer service and for the first time in easily 10 years I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Even the Very Small things that may have needed to get addresses were addressed with such an urgency and a dedication to exemplary customer service that none of them are even worth mentioning. The rooms were extremely stylish and modern. Amazing amenities in the room, comfortable bed and turn down service. The room service was SPECTACULAR — even the valet guys were amazing and constinously asked me how they could make my trip any better. Everything was absolutely amazing. If I could give this property 10 stars I would — super excited I get to come back to Cleveland in December and get to stay here again.

This a hotel with a character. Posh and trendy, with friendly staff. Don't expect a bellhop. The elevators are very high-tech and you get allocated to an elevator so you have to carry your key card everytime. I loved the reserve floor to relax and work. The shower and the toilet is separate so that's a good thing. I saw this previously at the Ritz Carlton Dubai. I think my room shower was missing a stand to keep the soap in the shower booth. Amenities were top class. Didn't see a newspaper… In the lobby. Water fountain on every floor was great.

The apartments at the 9 are really nice for the area. It's much like a hotel with a great gym and rooftop bar. The rooftop has a great view, good music, and good food/drinks. It's a great place to kick back and unwind with a great atmosphere. I love the fact that you are able to get room service to your apartment. Also, there is a grocery store on site. Very convenient!

If you are staying, it has the most comfortable pillows! I have never had any pillows that great! The room looks very classy with a nice touch of art. Staff are vey helpful and great.

What a beautiful spot! From check-in through to check-out it's a first class hotel. Staff go out of their way to accommodate… Rooftop bar and patio is a fantastic place to relax and take in the view of Cleveland! I definitely can't wait to go back.

Great place to stay. Very clean and great service. The Vault was an awesome place to have a cocktail. The decor with all the bank vault items was awesome and the drink presentation was the best my husband and I have seen! Restaurant food and staff was top notch. Would definitely recommend!

What a stunning building! I was there visiting my cousin and WOW! there's valet parking available and the staff was extremely friendly and polite. This place is secure and safe. You need a security pass to even use the elevators! The rooms are beautiful but not kid friendly, some risque artwork so beware. Haha.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel with all the amenities you can think of. This hotel is in the perfect location. The rooms are MASSIVE. The staff is super friendly. I had a great couple days here and I was sad I had to leave!

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary. We live on the east side of Cleveland, so we weren't far from home, but felt like we were in another world. It was an amazing experience. Everyone we encountered during our stay was incredibly professional, friendly and knowledgeable, and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. When we checked in, we were asked for our floor preference. We said high. We were assigned a room on the 12th floor so we could enjoy the rooftop bar (same floor). The views from the rooftop were amazing. In one direction, you could see the lake. In another, the skyline. In another, Progressive Field. After dinner, we returned to find champagne and desserts in our room — an unexpected treat for our anniversary. We slept in the next day and ordered room service for breakfast, which was prompt and delicious. We raved about our stay to everyone! Thank you for pampering us!

Entire hotel is pretty good. The rooms are nice, although not the most kid friendly — a lot of sharply-edged furniture and fixtures. Food in the restaurant was great and the event we attended was well managed.

This hotel is in a prime location in the heart of the city in close proximity to all of the local attractions. The hotel is very modern and contemporary. It isn't a great family hotel because it has a bit of a sexy vibe. One of the coolest parts is the bar in the basement. It is in the vaults of an old bank. It is fantastic. I would recommend this hotel for its unique aspects.

While not a 5 star hotel in the traditional sense, The Metropolitan at the 9 still deserves a 5 star rating for it's unique hospitality experience thats tough to find anywhere else in Cleveland. The property is impressive from the moment you walk in to the time you make it into your room. It's over the top in good ways (and a few bad) but that's all part of the charm. The staff is all very friendly and courteous and theyake sure your stay is memorable. The regular room can seem small with the shower sticking out into the living space but they pack a lot of fun amenities like 50 inch TVs and modern furniture into the room. The rooftop bar and bank vault themed bar in the basement are great venues if your looking to stay in the property. It's not for everyone but this hotel will definitely be memorable.

Without question this is the best hotel in Cleveland. I've stayed in Cleveland too many times to count and once I found The 9, I will be reluctant to stay anywhere else. The Metropolitan offers a welcome respite from the pedestrian "rewards points" type-hotels I regularly encounter on work trips. The rooms are perfectly appointed, the city views are actually decent, prices are lower than I was expecting, and the service is world-class (see my review for Adega, their Italian Mediterranean restaurant on-site and you'll understand what I mean). Overall, The Metropolitan at the 9 is a 5-Star hotel experience.

In the heart of Cleveland is a gem of a hotel. Makes me wish I was staying there. But I was there for a meeting held in one of the ballrooms. What was really exquisite and extraordinary though was The Vault, an old bank vault turned into a gathering place. Remnants of vault doors adorn walls and passageways. The decor is definitely from the 1970's. Charming and cozy.

Our room was beautiful and comfortable. Loved the bedding. The private floor was incredibly private and SILENT so we got a great night's sleep. The restaurant and the speakeasy were fantastic. Top notch food and cocktails during our stay. We will be returning!

Very nice trendy hotel, cool rooftop bar also. And the Cavs won game 7 when I was there so obviously it's the luckiest hotel on earth.

Look deep within the surface! Be aware that you must lighten your tone, stay off the radar, your attire and under must match a Sharks. It is to be enlightened by the corky, historic, and graceful monument that it possesses. Please thukurend lightly.

Loved the outdoor bar. It was super hot so needed the shade. Not many sections under any shade. Only negative.

The venue was well organized, entering and exiting was speedy and efficient. I never once believed it possible for an event to be hosted and move so efficiently.

Open racism. African American guests wearing the same clothing as some Caucasian guest and they were denied access in the club. Cost of one nigh stay totaled over $400 bucks while being watched by security the entire night. Called prior to share that a small gathering for my birthday was going to take place and later attend the club the Vault inside of the hotel. Total of 9 guests and security said we were making too much noise in the first hour and all 9 guests had not arrived. 30 minutes later the same complaint and security were outside of the room listening. I opened the door and then they wanted to speak to my husband about the noise. Also, said 3 of our guests had to leave and the max was 6 guests in a double bed suite with a pit couch. I woke up to kids running in the room next door and their mom yelling and screaming. I called down to make a report and the front desk said they will call lost prevention. This is how African Americans are treated and we were pulled by others that night sharing awful stories. I seen a group African American Veterans arriving on a party bus and 1 of the men being turned away for wearing dressy tennis shoes while white Caucasian man was let in right pass them. I called ahead for my guests and I was told by the doorman no and that I should have checked the internet. I mentioned that I called and he said I could speak with management.

We absolutely LOVE both the hotel and the Adego Restaurant! The accommodations were beautiful and the service exceptional. We will definitely be back!

Our stay here was memorable trip, not only were we here as wedding guests, but we also stayed overnight. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and service was top notch. The history and architecture an added bonus.

We went for a wedding, but decided to stay there even though it was expensive. We had young children and figured it would be easier just to go upstairs after the wedding (we drove 10 hours to get there. ) The staff was friendly, the gentleman who helped us to our room was helpful and explained about the hotel and where to go. The rooms were beautiful, plenty of space. The overnight parking should be included in the price, but the parking staff were great also.

The staff at the 9 were great. Food is excellent. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The security of the elevators is a little overboard. We were here for a wedding and we're not able to go floor to floor. The event spaces were really neat.

This is a beautiful, modern hotel unlike any hotel I have ever stayed in. We had a great time at the vault (probably too much of a great time). It's pricey, but if you can snag a good deal it's worth it. We stayed in the King Size room. The rooms were really awesome. Great lighting and beautifully decorated. The shower is in the middle of the room next to the bathroom vanity, so I suggest getting a different room if you aren't comfortable being naked in front of the person you're staying with. Hands down the best part of this hotel is the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Without their energy the place would be stuffy and uncomfortable. I hope to see that the hotel treats their staff well and keeps them happy.

Beautiful hotel but lacks the customer service of a higher-end hotel. Expect the hotel to be ran like a night-club — not a hotel. Rooms are very loud as many party-goers stay for the nightclub "Vault".
