Dirty rooms and smelly! And building looks bad! No pool! No to go breakfast! No staff on duty maybe one! House keeping is bad!

When Wyndom took over, rates went up, points earned went down, they LOST our La Quinta Rewards points and never replaced them, and NOW we were just slammed with a $40 pet charge! Hello! The reason we’ve stayed (the ONLY reason) here repeatedly for years—over other chains—were because pets were free.
When I complained to the night manager, he was brusque and snippy: “It costs to clean up after pets! ” he snapped. Hello! It’s always cost—but we’ve never been charged extra ever before. He kept barking, “Don’t blame MY motel. Write to Wyndom! ” instead of even expressing any sympathy.
Wyndom is greedy and their help is rude. We see no reason, after 25-30 years of faithful and consistent La Quinta patronage, to choose them over any other so called “pet friendly” chain ever again.

2nd time staying here when I’m here visiting friends. The staff is great very helpful and accommodating to my needs the morning breakfast is
very good with a lot of choices.

Severely disappointed in the new Wyndham franchise ownership of this hotel.
MANAGER AND EMPLOYEES RUDE CULTURE seems to be acceptable to them.
We have stayed here multiple times while visiting family and always had the best service, as with all Laquinta while traveling with a pet across the country.
New policy — BEWARE PET OWNERS — $40 NOT posted that they charge now!

Great hotel! Very clean, plus the staff was very friendly and efficient. Wide variety of breakfast options and the area was well maintained. Would definitely stay again!

The rooms are perfect to stay at. Very roomy, well kept. I will keep this place in mind again for a stay, and they have an excellent breakfast in the morning. And the price is right.

We’ve stayed at this hotel before and been very pleased, but not this time! Arrived to find that all the rooms had been given away and we got the last one (despite my having made reservations long ago) : Total hotel fail! The 2-room suite (always before with a curtained glass dividing wall and a door that shut) is a one room handicapped (so no way to shut off our dogs), and the bathroom is full of metal bars but no shelves or a real shower, the a/c is dying, we literally had to rearrange all the furniture—including the sofa— to even *open* the sofa bed, which was unmade. They couldn’t even find pillows for it and WE had to make it up, once we got sheets from the lobby. The refrigerator doesn’t work—the feeezer door has broken off entirely—so I had to go down and have them put my frozen foods in their freezer, and my husband’s key card stopped working and he had to get another. We have been down to the lobby SIX TIMES since arriving dead tired an hour and a half ago—at 10:30 pm—with NO assurances we’ll be compensated and given the top of the line suite I reserved—as a treat after a week in a one room cabin with no running water— a MONTH AGO! I am absolutely disgusted. We are now an hour late getting to bed (we got up at 6am; it is now midnight) and will lose MORE time tomorrow, moving rooms.

This is a good location! There's a great Irish pub within walking distance and groceries and fast food within a couple miles. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The continental breakfast is great!

I travel a lot for work. I’m in and out of hotels almost every day. Today I got to this hotel and there was nobody at the front desk. You had to say hello three times, before this girl came out. She barely said hello and then she asked me if I was checking in. When I said yes, she went into the back room and from back there, she asked me for my last name and other info. When she came out again, she gave me the keys, I signed the paperwork and told me good night. She didn’t point me to the elevator, she didn’t ask me if I needed anything, she didn’t explain the internet connection or breakfast for the next morning. Customer service was very poor and unprofessional.

I recently had a bad experience with Cody but I gave the hotel another chance. I called around 11:30 to say I was going to be checking in late and Taylor was so helpful and really worked with me to make sure everything I needed was accommodated. My mother recently passed and she kept me company at the desk for about 45 minutes. That really meant a lot to me. She has EXCELLENT customer service and a very warm heart. She needs to be rewarded and as long as she is there so will the Bell family.

Clean hotel, nice location and friendly staff. Got there very late… still greeted with a smile.

One of our go to places when we come to the Cities. Nice and hit breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, American potatoes, waffles, oatmeal, muffins, cereals, yogurts). Would recommend this hotel to others.

I have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions while visiting Minnesota for my job. Staff is wonderful. Accommodations are always fair priced, clean and welcoming after a long day on the job. The breakfast in the morning is always hot, fresh and delicious.

Friendly staff, clean room, comfy beds, and breakfast wasn't bad. On the final day of the stay I came to the room and housekeeping hadn't stopped by. Other than that a good experience and would recommend.

Staff was very pleasant upon check in. Room (one bed, king) was nice and clean. I do wish their decor was updated with the purple, grey, black and yellow scheme like I believe most La Quinta's are heading but it wasn't a bother as everything was clean. Would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed here twice; once for my first rock concert, and another for the most recent concert I went to. Very comfortable and affordable. I'm sure I'll be staying here many more times.

Very quiet and comfortable. Even though it is right by the expressway. Very convenient location near Trader Joe’s.

Personnel was so friendly, professional, and courteous. I had a pleasant experience during my stay. My room was so clean and well kept.

Clean, nice staff, delicious breakfast. Stayed in room next to utility room. And so noisy couldn't sleep. It sounded like ice maker every hour. Also doors slamming all hours of the night.

We booked a hotel after driving an entire day from North Dakota with two kids under two. WE arrived at 2:00 asking if we could check in early to put the kids down for a nap. They were extremely crabby and tired. The gal at the front desk said they weren't ready yet which was to be expected. Then we came back in an hour. Still not ready. She explained it is the only suite and it wasn't clean yet. I don't understand if it's the only single suite why she couldn't ask the housekeepers to clean it quick And each time we went in I seen some housekeepers just standing around the lobby I understand we arrived early but we stay in motels a lot and a lot of time we have no problem checking in an hour early. I just thought the front desk gal could've maybe asked the housekeepers to clean our room first aince we had crying babies in the car. It messed up our plans for the whole day. Rooms still weren't ready at 3.

I stayed in an executive suite. For 2 nights. The staff was incredibly nice. The breakfast was hot, fresh and tasted great. The staff kept up with the large crowd very. All the amenities werewell stocked in the room. The only, very small complaint I have is the small, very firm square pillows on our bed were rather uncomfortable. Will come back again next time we are in town. Prices were competitive with other similar hotels in the immediate area.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times for work and personal trips. This hotel is very clean and a good deal for your money. I just recently stayed there for an extended stay while on a back to school shopping trip with my daughter. We had done a lot of shopping and had a lot of shopping bags and new clothes, shoes, etc. On Sunday, we left a note for housekeeping to throw away a stack of empty shopping bags on the left side of the wall. On the right side of the wall there was a bunch of brand new shoes lined up and a shopping bag with a brand new winter jacket and winter vest. All of the garbage was thrown away so we never thought to make sure the new items were still there. When I got home on Tueday and unpacked, I couldn't find those items. I called the hotel at 3:30 pm that day and told them the situation, they said they were going to check the room as they weren't sure if my room had been cleaned yet or not and they would call me back. The front desk person did call back and said the bag wasn't in the room. I said I figured that and explained that I believed someone had taken the items from the hotel room. She said that the Assistant Manager would call me the next day. I never got a phone call from anyone on Wednesday. On Thursday, I called the hotel and the General Manager answered. I shared with him my concern and he asked if I spoke with the Assistant Manager. I told him I was supposed to but she never called.

The staff were extremely friendly. The breakfast was great and tasty! Also the rooms and beds were clean and comfortable! We stay here every time we are in Minneapolis.

We enjoyed our stay here. They have a wonderful pet policy. Currently Companywide there is no pet fee. Place does look a bit dated. But a fairly large size room for the hundred dollars we paid. Breakfast was adequate staff was wonderful and always smiling. Also every day when we came down hey staff member usually said hello to our canine friends. It was a great it made us feel like we were at home.

La Quinta Inn & Suites Minneapolis is a very good hotel with extremely courtious and professional staff. It's located near a beautiful calm and quiet neighborhood. The breakfast has a good variety of healthy and tasty food. Overall, a very nice location to stay for a while.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable the breakfast was amazing close to our destination to the mall and casino. Staff was helpful and courteous.

I had a fantastic get-a-way here! Staff was so friendly and helpful, the bed was lovely and comfortable and breakfast was delicious and filling. Can't wait to go back!

So there's no pool… Oh well. They have a deal with the YMCA across the highway and will shuttle you there if you want. My wife was staying here during the week, then I'd join her on weekends. They also have a deal with Regency Hospital, where my father-in law was. Lower rates of you have a loved one there, and they will shuttle you there as well, even tho it's farther than the 5 miles the shuttle usually runs. Perfect since my wife is scared to death to drive in the cities.
Rooms are clean, nice beds, and a SUPERB staff. Very friendly, extremely accommodating, and if you have questions about the area they will try to help as much as they can (where places are, dining, shopping, etc). Of course, as my wife stayed here for a long time, we got to know the staff better than most. There were a few who prayed for us. If you believe in Christ, as we do, that's awesome.
If you ask about dining, they have coupons for some of the local restaurants. So, it pays to be friendly and sociable with the staff (and all hotels a actually).
If you just need a place to sleep without all the extras, this place is great.

Excellent and courteous front desk. We choose La Quinta because they are pet-friendly with rooms that are immaculate which is a shout-out to the quality of their housekeeping teams. AND the MANY locations, in smaller towns, make it very easy to create a comfortable route from point A to B to C, etc. Plus, they now send advance welcome messages complete with a weather forecast covering the duration of a stay. VERY helpful in planning! And of course, the price is right.

Yesssss! This was a great place to rest! We got booked for a king, and when we got there we got a free upgrade to an executive king! Loved the staff there as well!

I liked this hotel ive been here before I've been to many la quintas before and haven't had a good experience but the staff is very nice they even set me up a conference room for my birthday for just a small pizza party it was very nice of them only criticism is the beds are too hard and pillows as well.

Room was serviceable, conveniently located, and quiet (good since we have a dog, for which there was no weight limit! ). Biggest gripes are that they messed up our reservation through 3rd party booking (we booked a king, were on books for 2 doubles; although we did get to pick our floor), the toilet barely worked (bubbled down…), and that staff didn't get breakfast ready on time (coffee wasn't even brought out until almost 9).

Service was very good. Shuttle service was fine. Breakfast was good. Rooms were fine. I stay here a few times a year.

Service was awesome. Very friendly staff, room was large (1 King size), very clean. The free breakfast was great too, good selection of food. Was surprised to see hot scrambled eggs and sausages!

Stayed at the hotel for my brothers bachelor party. Rates were reasonable for a large group and occimudations were pleasant.

The rooms are nice. They have a membership to the YMCS. There are no on sight amenities.

Great room, especially for the price. Breakfast was good, and late check-out time was convenient. Only downside was "pool-access" is from free passes to the local YMCA you can get from the front desk.

Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, and a decent free breakfast. I really don't have any complaints. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Just be aware of its location relative to Minneapolis.

Not happy with the lack of amenities. 1. No fridge 2. No microwave 3. No pool 4. No laundry. After driving 12 plus hours it would have been nice to have more comforts. I had to have daughters med stored at the front desk and risk loosing them to the girl who checked us in, or her daughter not sure who was in charge the whole process was very unprofessional, I will no be staying here again.

Great people. No guest-laundry?! No refrigerator. : (Clean and well maintained facility. Been here a week and the only vending machine has been broken the whole time.

I stay at this hotel very often and it is one of the best in the area. Very cozy beds and large rooms at reasonable rates. Hotel is close to a lot of restaurants and a mall. It is just around 15 mins from downtown. The staff is great and very welcoming. The hotel has a very good selection of free breakfast and great coffee/tea too.

I have never written a review but was given the best customer service at La Quinta that I felt it was necessary for me to share my experience. I was greeted by Jane, she also helped me book my stay. I was in area for visiting my son at Courage Kenny Rehab Center. Jane also escorted me to my room where she had a rose with hand written note saying that my son and I were in their thoughts. She also had a small cake for me. That personal touch and her willingness to go the extra mile to help find a great rate online that she matched and gave additional hospital discount. As having a family member in hospital long term the extra money saved means a lot of money saved as I will be visiting MSP frequently, the expenses are adding up.

My husband and I have stayed here twice while visiting family near-by. We have enjoyed our stays here very much. The rooms have been comfortable and clean. The breakfast is more than adequate, and we enjoyed the free cookies, coffee, tea and hot cocoa, especially during our December visit! We never had a problem.
