The staff were friendly and helpful. I liked that they provide everything you need for cooking (pots, pans, etc) and silverware. Room was clean. I took away one star because when I arrived the clerk had a cut on his hand and did not excuse himself to go put on a bandaid as it was bleeding. As a result, he got blood on my paperwork.

Nice rooms but kind of small. Great front desk lady on weeknights, cant remember her name (sorry! ). Slowest internet ever though.

To Amy Bell: This Extended Stay America (ESA) DOES NOT have a pool. The breakfast at every ESA is oatmeal in a cup or a granola bar with coffee offered. And this is displayed on a cabinet in the lobby area. There is no seating for meals. "All the rooms are nice? " Have you stayed in "all" of them? The rooms are always a hit or miss on cleanliness, dependent upon the HK staff who cleaned them. And it is not a "little get away. " It is a very typical ESA. And that is not a good thing. The guests range from construction crews, mayo patients, guests in-between permanent homes and 'others. ' This is not a family style hotel. And to compare it to a waterpark is downright deceptive. I will even go further to say that when I relocated to Rochester and stayed for a week; the FBI and SWAT team had the hotel in lockdown while they raided a room three doors down from me in the arresting of a wanted murderer and his girlfriend on the run from Florida. So… family friendly?

I stayed at the extended, stay in tochester,, nw, mike the manager made me feel at home,, spoke to me as if my concerns were his top priority,, he was very nice when I came in, and offered his assistance if I needed it,,, when I come back, I will always come to the nw, extended stay,, feels just like home,, quiet, peaceful. And clean, thanks mike,, u are priceless,, need more like u at all extended stay hotels.

I love this hotel. Have been going there for a little over a year. Great prices, great management and clean rooms.

General manager mike salerno is a great help. I truly enjoyed my stay.

Our favorite little get away! Great pool great breakfast in the am and the rooms are all nice! We've gone back now every year for the last 9 years! A family with young kids who doesn't want the craziness of a water park needs to come here!

The rooms are decent. Staff however are quite rude. When asking the front desk for change to use the laundry facilities we were told that they could not provide what we needed, it was recommended for us to "go over to the Qwick Trip to get quarters as they needed to accommodate the construction workers" that were here staying?! Never mind the fact that the room was rented by a commercial driver who just returned from a run to Alabama. When we came back to do laundry, 2 of the 4 washing machines broke down and were out of service. There was trash left IN our room from the previous stay, (under the sink in the kitchen) the trash can outside was overflowing and there are cigarette butts everywhere. Someone needs to do some cleaning. This is my second time staying here and there will not be a third. For those reading, your money would be better spent elsewhere.

We liked the size of the room, but the bathroom was filthy. Fridge and outlet covers dirty. Looked like a quick once over.

The night desk clerk was the nicest man. I needed extra pillows for a bad shoulder and he sorted through all he had for extra fluffy ones for me.

Friendly staff. A practical kitchenette. Located near excellent shopping. Access to a wide variety eateries was because of personal taste. Easy access to major highways. Reasobly priced.

Very clean and quiet hotel. Easy access from highway. Plenty of stores and restaurants close by. My room was Clean, staff was friendly. The free breakfast is not as a traveler would exspect, coffee and oatmeal. Full size fridge on room was great.

The room was great and the night clerk was awesome. The only issue we had was that the day staff seemed to be new or less familiar with the systems as they appeared to get flustered easily and we ended up getting charged double. We will definitely stay again, hopefully the staff will be a little better trained by then.

Staff is awesome and feels like an apartment inside. Was clean and comfortable. Shuttle to Mayo runs great and driver is nice.

My husband and I stayed here about 4 days a week for almost two months. He was transferred here for work, but we hadn't moved yet. The staff was always accommodating, the rooms were always clean, and the breakfast is decent enough to get you started. Coffee, fresh fruit, & various granola bars. It's perfect if you need a room with a kitchen.

I spent two nights here while visiting the Mayo Clinic. The location is good for that, only a 5-10 minute drive depending on the time of day. The staff here is good. Upon checking in, they were very helpful, informing me of the hospital shuttle service (free for guests), offering directions, etc. The rooms aren't great. My room was clean, but very outdated and in need of some TLC. The door had to be kicked in order to lock (literally kicked while trying to turn the deadbolt…), the toilet and sink were very beat up, and there is hardly any sound barrier. The hallway traffic was loud and I was at the end of the hall. I can't imagine how bad the noise would be if I'd been in the middle of the hallway! I would not stay here again, but this trip was fine. I liked the location, but I didn't like the clientele or the hallway noise. It's just too loud.

Clean and spacious room equipped with microwave and a more than adequate sized fridge. Easy check in. Breakfast was poor but I'm not too big on breakfast so it didn't bother me. Staff was exceptionally welcoming. They even held my belongings until I got back from my interview after I checked out, and let me use their staff bathroom and made me coffee while I waited for the shuttle. Would definitely stay here again.

It's a pretty standard hotel, no hot breakfast.

Fantastic place to stay in Rochester but just outside of the city itself!

My aunt stays here whenever she is in town. If you need silverware just ask for it and they will get it to you. Full kitchen with full sized fridge and stove.

Nice option to spend few days with all homely amenities.

Short visit but was a nice hotel.

Price is reasonable for what you get, hallways smell (too much smoking), beds are rock hard, pillows suck (bring your own). Only reason we stay there, my wife needs a recliner to sleep.

While the rooms are good sized with an adequate kitchen they are not clean. The room had a bad smell that got worse after we turned the heat on and the carpet was very dirty. None of the beside lighting worked so I went to the front desk to ask for light bulbs and the desk clerk said she would call us about moving to a different room. She called about five minutes later but I couldn't answer the phone because it didn't work either. So I walked down to the desk again and she showed us another room, cleaner carpet but still the bad smell. Needless to say, we didn't stay the 7 nights that we originally reserved. One good thing about the whole place is that the desk clerk was very apologetic and we got a full refund and moved to another hotel. This one has working lights and smells clean, the phone even works.

The section 8 equivalent of a hotel. Youre allowed pets, thats fine-but I assume that is what the stains on the carpet are from. That or the children running around screaming. Stove light didnt work, room phone didnt work, no stopper for the sink which I had to use my cell phone to call down to the desk because the disgusting yellow room phone was out of order (I honestly dont think they plan on fixing it. ) No counter space in the bathroom for this suite am I supposed to put all my stuff on the nasty floor? The shower spigot is rigged with a piece of string to keep it from leaking. Minor pain peals and cracks shoddily patched to pass SOMEONE's inspection. Trash underneath the bed. A nice rock hard bed that dosent transfer motion on the plus side, but then again neither does concrete. The AC/heating unit kicks out dust and even on "Off" still turns itself on. I realize I'm not 'paying for luxury' (whoever wrote that review sounds like a staff member) here but lots of people stay here and attend Mayo and cant afford luxury because their last nickels and dimes are being poured into treatments and appointments trying to figure out whats wrong with ya. Im js.

This was the best place we stayed on our cross-country move. The room was spacious enough for our party of four and our 2 cats. The kitchenette was the nicest, with a nearly full size refrigerator, a microwave, a mini stove, and everything we needed to take a break from restaurant food and cook our own meal. The bathroom was not a bit cramped, the Wi-Fi worked well, parking was pretty convenient. I don't think they could improve anything except the breakfast, which was mostly packaged muffins and things. Great coffee though.

We spent 5 nights here while visiting The Mayo Clinic and if I were to come back to Rochester I would take my chances with a different hotel. PROS: price, cleanliness, friendly staff, Mayo shuttle, Target nearby. CONS: a cement slab would have been more comfortable than that bed, we reserved a non-smoking room but our room REEKED of smoke and after a day and a half of trying to air it out I requested to be moved and was told no, that they were booked, bathtub did not drain so showering required standing in your own filth, cable selection was very limited, some of the lighting did not function. While on the shuttle I overheard other patients talking about their accomodations at the Microtel across the street and they all seemed pleased. I would give them a try if I were to go back.

Great Hotel! I stayed there while going to the clinic. It was a very quiet, clean, and safe hotel. The staff was very friendly and quick to help with any questions I had. I would recommend this hotel to other guests and will return myself.

Stayed 9 nights for Mayo Clinic visit, would stay here again. Hotel quality is about halfway between Hampton Inn and Motel 6; not fancy, but you're not paying for fancy. Everything was modern and in excellent condition. As quiet as any hotel, and we were near front desk and laundry. Very adequate for the price; amenities are everything needed for longer stay. Clinic shuttle was great, and hotel is on city bus route. Good proximity to groceries and restaurants. Bed pillows were the worst I can recall, but everything else was great. Recommend Target for groceries, China Star for great Asian carryout. 12 mile long Douglas Trail (Rail Trail) is about 1 mile away.
