Let me tell you, if I could rate them with negative stars, I would. The reviews online and the pictures online made the hotel appear as if it was a decent place for the price. Upon arrival and talking with the staff, this was the last room available of the size we requested. We got into our room and found that the A/C units cover was not attached and laying down on the floor, the A/C would not stay on, the A/C unit kept cycling on and off, the A/C unit had flashing lights in it that were noticeable the entire time since the cover was not attached, the holder on the wall for the facial tissue kept falling off the wall, the entire upstairs hallway smells horribly like cigarette smoke, the toilet tissue holder was not fully attached to the wall, and not all of the lights appeared to be fully working and made the room really dark. That was just what we noticed when we got checked in. The first morning of our stay we went down for breakfast only to find there really wasn't one. There was an extremely long line of people waiting to use the ONE toaster for the limited amount of ONLY bread available, there was very little cereal left, and there was no yogurt or fruit left. They had no pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, or anything else like 99% of all other hotels have for breakfast. And there was nowhere to sit for breakfast. During our stay there was garbage on the benches outside the main entrance the entire time.

Absolutely love this Microtel. Staff is friendly and non invasive. They were extremely easy to work with and always had a professional and friendly demeanor. Room was clean and just as advertised. Overall 5/5 stars. Amazing.

Not even with 1 star. Hallways smell bad, the stairwells even worse. One bedroom had an odor that wasn't any better. We requested another room and it was provided and didn't smell as bad but the door latch would stick so it took a lot of pressure to open the door, a safety issue. Less than an hour here was bad enough without unpacking. We thankfully were able to move immediatley to another companies hotel (Thank you Wyndam rewards! ) With no cost at this one.

Fairly easy to get to from 35E, clean, appears secure as parking in the back resulted in walking around to the front as the back door needed a key card. Our room had two beds, microwave and mini fridge. There was coffee available downstairs, so that might be why there was no coffee pot in the room? So bring your own pot if you don't feel like getting dressed to go get it. They do have a nice leather love seat by elevator I thought was a nice touch for the use of space and waiting for the rest of your group. While it's not your typical breakfast seating area, they have made use of the space they do have to accommodate a grab and go. I honestly appreciate that more then staring at strangers and making small talk while balancing your breakfast on a tipsy table. Past experiences. Its a place to lay down and get some sleep. I didn't hear much activity outside the room so either no one was down our end of the hallway or the sound proofing was better than other Microtels I've stayed at. It's not fancy like I said, but clean and appears to have expected security actually in use.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff was friendly, the rooms were big and very clean, the breakfast food was fresh. I'm extremely impressed with the level of cleanliness and the value. I will be saving this hotel and come back!

Very affordable, clean beds, bathrooms, fitness room. The breakfast was decent. Less than $100 for a night on memorial day weekend.

We stayed two nights, was clean, quiet. We had to ask for an extra set of towels as there were four of us. The staff was helpful. Room wasn't quite as big as we expected but sufficient.

Low cost, but also bare essential amenities. Yeah, it was a room, but more like a UofM dorm room than a hotel room. (TV was on top of the wardrobe. Breakfast "buffet" was in the hallway. Etc. ) OK for one night as it was clean safe and quiet, but driving an additional 5 min gets a lot more for the same/less money.

Location is easy to find but turn off and parking lot have a strange setup. Breakfast options were underwhelming and the room was adequate at best. Wouldn't suggest staying here unless you just need a bed for one night. Otherwise it was a decent value for the price paid.

Had to stay overnight because the storm in mid-April closed down the airport. It was hard finding a room because all hotels were filling up fast but I managed to get a room here. I wish I had kept looking and found something better even if it was further away. Being delayed for so long when I was trying to get home after being gone for work for 2 weeks had me in a terrible mood, as most people would be, and this just topped it all off. Toilet backed up after first use, so I had to use the lobby bathroom. I was on the third floor and the elevator was broken. The entire main floor smelled like rotting food and vomit. When I left in the morning I noticed a cluster of bites on my elbow that had not been there before, so there's bedbugs, too! (Attatched picture is of bite cluster 5 days later) The stairwell smelled like cigarette smoke clear up to the top floor because the outside door at the bottom was inside the stairwell and people were only partially outside the open door smoking. There was a camera right there, so this should never have been allowed. I don't care that people smoke but they need to deal with the consequences of their habit, which includes standing ALL THE WAY outside to smoke even if it is snowing, instead of making rveryone else have to deal with their habit, too. In conclusion, I will never stay here again.

Very nice clean comfortable room. Great rates! And extremely friendly staff. I will stay here again when I am in the area!

Front desk lady was easy to talk to and correct my booking error. Room is cozy and quiet. Easy to lark and find.

Rooms are a bit dated, but the room I was in wasn't in poor shape. My room seemed clean and the linen was fresh. The breakfast is very simple and not appetizing. Located very near the airport and shopping was convenient.

It was actually great! It's a very clean place on great condition the rooms are a bit small but they're actually really cute rooms. Great overall value!

You get what you pay for, I guess. There's nothing really terrible about the place, but there is definitely nothing good either. The walls are paper thin, it's not very conveniently located near anything else and you could probably get a better breakfast at a gas station.

I have stayed at this hotel dozens of times and used the park option. This last time did not use park and was surprised to learn that cab ride to airport is only available with park option. Mistakenly thought that use of cab was alternative to shuttle that so many other hotels offer. Guess my next hotel stay will be at hotel that offers shuttle to airport, not the microtel.

They have modern, adorable little rooms for 2 with everything u need for a nights stay! The staff was very accommodating and the price was so affordable! I would definately stay here again!

I was unsure of staying here out first, but in the end they exceeded my expectations! The staff was friendly, the beds were comfy, and the breakfast never ran out of muffins. The only complaints I have are that the city of Eagan just has bad water for drinking and bathing and the air conditioner was extremely loud. Luckily we came during winter so we opened the window instead. Also, to make up for the gross water the hotel has the best water pressure so it made up for it while showering! I would definitely stay again.

This place seemed like it was a great option for the price. Then after you check out they charge u an extra 200 dollars. AND THE BEST PART — They don't even have to tell you. So I returned to this "great value" hotel/motel to get an explanation of as to why they charge me that amount of money it was probably told because they felt like it because someone smelled smoke in the room when asked to be provided with evidence of such because I know no one had been smoking in that room I was quickly greeted with a you need to leave I'm calling the cops when asked for the supervisor's name and number and best time to contact him I was told that they weren't going to do any of that if that's the way Hotel runs than I f****** hope that place f****** gets shut down in the little little little man that's working behind the counter at the bare minimum does not need to have a job the way you handle customer service is not like that I need everyone to know this and I'm going to repost it every single day until I'm satisfied.

This was a great hotel to stay at. One of the managers was there a few times during our stay. He was nice enough to check to see if some cereal was gluten free for my Grandma (who has Celiac's). He commiserate the difficulty of finding food on occasion when you have diet restrictions and shared that he's vegan. He was incredibly nice. He made a decent stay really great.

Definitely not the worst hotel I've stayed at but the entire place smelled pretty bad and the police had to come and forcibly remove a violent, apparently insane guest right next door. The front desk told me to stay in my room with my door locked and not to leave for any reason while the cops came. Now I understand the hotel likely didn't know the person was in a bad mental state and potentially dangerous when they rented the room, but they made no effort to tell me all was clear after the police left with the guest or even mention an apology that I'd basically been under room arrest for a few hours during my stay.

The staff was very accommodating to our request. Very professional staff. Rooms were very nice and clean. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

No coffee pot in rooms not breakfast after 9 am on weekends. Poor at best. Noisy fan in bathroom. Need s a separate switch.

The room was very neat and clean. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice. I do wish the rooms had better lighting. Would've been 5 stars but they put me in a room directly beside construction. It was very loud very early in the morning. Otherwise, really nice place.

The room was tiny. The common areas were hot. We did not try the breakfast it seem basic. The room was clean though.

For the money not bad. Could use some fresh paint and carpet in places. Room and linens were very clean. Not much noise except for the occasional jet flying over to or from the airport. Some good restaurants a short half mile walk or drive. Only real complaint is the breakfast. Could use more variety and more seating. Front desk attendant was very helpful and nice. Water pressure in shower is great. I was here for two nights in a King suite. Im a truck driver and got plenty of rest before journeying over to Chicago. Plenty of room to park. So overall, for $71.00 per night. A great deal.

The room was ok. It was clean, beds are nice. Shower was hot and the pressure was great. Theres a safe, fridge, iron, iron board, hair dryer and microwave in the room. Breakfast was disappointing. I could hear the people in the room next to me making a phone call at 645am (I woke up startled thinking someone was in my room) and it sounded like they were banging on the wall. You can't really get to the ac/heater due to its placement, I could barely get my fingers in there. Oh and don't take the Chinese food recommendation, it was gross. The lighting is not the best.

They charged me a month and a half after the date of my stay for another 520$ without my authorization or approval. Since then I have had to be on the phone with them countless times and they have yet to refund my money. Apparently they used my card by mistake and instead of issuing a refund to travelocity they used the card I had provided for incidentals during my stay. I was told that the General Manager, Bobby, would be the one who can issue a refund. It has been multiple weeks now and I have not heard from him because he is too busy, does not have regular hours, and manages multiple properties — according to the staff I spoke to multiple times during the many phone calls. I have had to file a complaint with Wyndham (corporate) to get a response and I will pursue legal action and complaint with BBB if I am not issued a refund of this unauthorized charge. I do not understand what the motivation is behind the lack of accountability and in cheating customers such as I. I have no other fraudulent charges other than the one done by Microtel which makes me think that my identity was not stolen. I have however cancelled my credit card since they wrongfully charged my card. Almost a month since their wrongful charge and my complaint — I have yet to hear back from this very busy manager. Very frustrating experience.

Had the BEST customer service from the nice looking front desk guy (Skylar)! Always a smile and very friendly and pleasant! I will always plan my hotel stay here because of him! He took great care of us and I recommend anyone to stay here!

This is a two star hotel. It is near a airport. It is cheap in both cost and design. When booking this hotel please keep the above in consideration. Two star rating is exactly what this Microtel deserves. They didn't fail on everything, they just didn't do anything particularly well, or even to a point of being average. The staff was courteous, and pleasant to work with; but, the hotel, furnishings, even the lighting in our rooms was two star at best. The free breakfast was equivalent to running to the gas station down the street (Frozen 'Eggo waffles, apples and bananas, bargain muffins, etc. ) My biggest issue is the following. The walls are best described as rigid cotton sheets; I could hear people laughing, and arguing, I assume four rooms down, and to top it off? I could literally hear a guest dropping a deuce next to us at 3AM. *Remember the second point I made at the start of this? Defending this hotel as anything more than a '2-Star Hotel' and rating it anything higher than two stars gives it credit where truly no credit is due. Note: I am neither angry or displeased with Microtel; it simply is what it is.

Was not impressed with this hotel and will not return. Room was not well maintained, for example the drain was disassembled on the bathroom counter and there were numerous holes in the wall. Mattress was very uncomfortable. Breakfast offered was various breads (muffins, frozen waffles, cereal) not bad but not great. Price was too high for the quality offered. I will say the air conditioner worked well the first evening we were there, although not as well the next day. And the staff was super helpful, I forgot my phone charger and the lady at the front desk went back to the room with me to get it.

Pros: Everything! Nice hotel. Clean room. Like the continental breakfast. Front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. Big bathroom. My room is across from the elevator (always a plus! ). My room is about 3 doors down from the ice machine (always a plus too). Ample parking — I don't have to walk far to the front door. Conveniently located to shopping and interstate. My room is situated on the west side so I get the sunset. And I get to see and hear a lot of planes landing! Cons: No coffee maker in room. No mini fridge. No microwave. = fridge and microwave I could care less about… but I need my morning coffee! It's not an inconvenience but just a bummer. I WOULD recommend this hotel to everyone! And I got a good price from Expedia. So to me it's worth it!

Room was nice and fir the price I paid it was nice until I noticed that toilet was broken and when I contacted the service desk, they refused to shift me to another room. Their excuse was that they r full for the night. I asked them to make arrangements for me in another hotel but they refused the same. Around 2 am, a guy showed to Fox it and couldn't fix it. So I had to use public restroom during my stay. It was an horrible experience.

Great 1 star hotel. Walls are thin but Wi-Fi is good. Smells bad and feels cheap.

The area is clean with a Sam's Club just around the corner. The room was very clean and the stuff was very nice and helpful.

The room and bedroom were comfortable and the water was always hot. The toilet kept running and then got clogged (in two of our rooms) but staff were quick to fix it when requested.

It was all it needed to be, but not much more than that. The continental breakfast was pretty tiny and lacking and there was very little sitting space for it. The room was nothing remarkable. The bathroom fan was connected to the light switch and was extremely loud and annoying when using the bathroom in the middle of the night. Besides that it wasn't horrible. But it certainly didn't stand out to me in any way.

I got a suite, decent price for the area. Comfortable bed, fridge is good, shower and bathroom could be better. Wi-Fi is nothing I'd brag about but works. It's no major frills but served it's purpose for my business needs. I did not attend their breakfast, I bought some sustenance for myself for a few days so everything fit my needs. I would return.
