One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Rooms are beautiful. They have a happy hour from 5-7 wow this was awesome. Also they offer a shuttle service to keep you safe heading to dinner. Could not ask for anything else. Deserved all 5 stars in my opinion and more!

Really nice. It's what you expect when you stay at a Holiday Inn express. The egg white omlettes were pretty good.

Would have given it 5 stars except the bathroom didn't meet our standards.

Nice hotel, but raises the rates on weekends. It took multiple conversations to explain the govt per diem rate doesn't change. It seems rather shortsighted to attempt to raise the rate by a total of $41 for 2 days when my stay would cost over $900.

Nice enough room. Breakfast and Keurig in the room. Drinks in the evening too.

Overall, our stay at the holiday inn was great! Only reason for 4 stars is the front desk person who checked my family in double charged my credit card. Still waiting for the charge to be refunded…

I normally stay at Motel 6 — so, this was quite an upgrade for me. Room was spotless, bed was super comfy, and the breakfast in the morning was great — lots of healthy options. Thanks, guys!

Great Pool and Spa. Always crystal clear and inviting. Clean deck and plenty of seating by the pool to watch our little ones. Their exercise center is wonderfull. Never have too wait for a machine.

Nice room, well taken care of hotel, big breakfast selection, pet friendly, clean pool/hot tub area, comfy beds. Had a great experience here. Slightly overpriced, but definitely the nicest hotel in Torrington by far.

Great little hotel for travelers or visitors. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Swimming pool and jacuzzi that are not usually crowded. Great breakfast options and snacks served for getting together in the evenings. Convenience store is walking distance and gas stations close by.

While comfortable and clean overall, this hotel could use some updating. Small things stand out, like cracked and missing grout in the bathroom and a cracked sink. However, the staff were friendly and breakfast options were good.

Just on the outskirts of Torrington, this Holiday Inn is well equipped with a swimming pool, exercise room and of course, free breakfast in the morning. Service was a little slow when it came to replenishing breakfast items, but other than that the service elsewhere was great. Recommended if you're in the area looking for a place to stay!

Stayed here for the eclipse. Prices were crazy but the staff was friendly providing everyone with glasses and food during the event. The facilities are pretty good. Breakfast better than I thought it would be.

Room was great! Pool was too chlorinated, burnt your eyes. Not enough night staff to keep up with pool towels and filling water and complementary beverages.

Rooms were decently up to date and very clean. Service was helpful and patient.

Awful staff! I have stayed at this hotel several times and always have found the front desk person not helpful. This last stay NO ONE would answer the phone to make a reservation. I had to wait 30 minutes for someone to show up at the desk to check in. Then once I got checked in after a long day of travel and late at night the toilet was broken. They offered nothing but a few rewards points for all the hassle!

No closable curtains, can't make the room dark. Small TV. No freezer in the mini fridge. Provides microwave but no microwavable plates (offers Styrofoam! Trying to kill me? ). Coffee maker is dusty, probably hasn't been used or cleaned in ages. Recieved our reciept under the door at 3 am, waking everyone up, kind of unprofessional. No communication with room service as to if you're checked out or not. Pedantic details aside its what you would expect.

Very clean hotel! amazingly friendly staff! Helped us with whatever we needed and seemed happy to help, will definitely stay here again if and when I pass threw this way. Best stay I've ever experienced with a hotel. Oh and on a side note, there is a truck stop a block west from hotel, don't let the "truck stop" title fool ya, AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE.

Get a room in the back unless you can sleep through a hurricane. Our first clue that we were in for a bad night was the complimentary ear plugs on the nightstand. The train tracks are about 100 yards from the hotel. This I could have handled but the conductor blows the whistle as he goes past the hotel. We counted five trains that night. The room was clean and the staff was nice.

Worst night ever. Way overpriced, they wouldn't discount the price at all because the pool was under construction. All they had over the window on the ground floor was a thin see through veil type curtain so anyone walking by could see very clearly into my room. Very bright light shining into room from street lights (like I said, barely a curtain) the heavy train traffic all night 60 feet from my window made it hard to sleep as well. Very nice clean place, but what kind of retard doesn't put a curtain on the window? And who builds RIGHT NEXT to a very busy train track? They did have bacon for breakfast (when I finally got up at 6am after not sleeping for more than 30minutes at a time due to the loud train, bright lights from the street and train headlights) and they have these nice warm cookies at check in. Very nice staff as well, it's not their fault it's a horrible place to stay. I'm told it's a lot quieter on the back side away from the trains, but they were full and I had to end up paying for the "junior suite" which was the last room available. Or so they said. Unless you can get a room on the back side, don't even consider staying here (unless you are a very very heavy sleeper, and like people seeing into your room).

New owners or new management have completely turned the property around. Our stay this time was in a clean and spotless room that looked like it had been completely renovated. Very friendly staff, and warm chocolate chip cookies at night. Yum.
