Bed bugs! They were everywhere!

Couldn’t find the front desk person and had to call around, when they came out they had no mask on, none of the customers we saw were wearing masks in the lobby or hallways, the cleaning person in the hall this morning had no mask on while supposedly cleaning/sanitizing rooms. There were candy wrappers and a piece of loose candy under the bed.

Very nice staff. Had a good stay thank you. Wish the other elevator worked though.

The beds are comfortable. The pool and spa tube are nice as well.

Good hotel, great for couple nights stay, quick check in plus rooms very clean.

They told me the pool was fixed and they lied. Will not be coming back. This is why I came so my kids would have a good time. The pool was freezing.

Staff were very polite and very helpful. The gentleman that checked us in asked the morning staff to open the breakfast a little earlier than normal to accommodate our early departure for the train station! And he even recommended a cab company to use. Overall, a great experience and would stay there any time.

We spent the weekend here and enjoying the pool & hot tub!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
I will say that they could have made the effort to notify their guests of faulity equipment such as their laundry room, especially for those who booked a long stay.
A simple out of order sign and/or a discount would have went a long way.

This hotel is affordable & clean with pleasant & helpful staff. We love our room with a Jacuzzi. Being a Choice Hotels Member is Wonderful!

The a/c in the rooms is terrible, sounds like someone is running a bath the whole time. Easy to miss the entrance add is not marked very well and you'll end up at the duty free back to Canada. The shower head is designed for someone under 5 feet tall. The front desk staff was very curious and helpful though!

Back again this year on a trip back to the states. Worse time this year than last. Would say quality has been going down. We book two rooms every year. Could not get adjoining rooms when requested well in advance. One room looked to not have been dusted for some time. Didn't find the bed to be very comfortable. Probably going to stay elsewhere when we travel again next year. Looks like they were doing some remodeling.

I rented a room and I had my grandkids come up to swim with me I had 6 people total and they informed me that I could only have 4 I asked to rent another room so that my other 2 grandkids could swim and they rufused saying that my tone was rude and that I had to leave. And also told me the way I was talking she new that I was "local" (port huron) the manger was very rude and refused to give me her mangers number and kept hanging up on me when I tried to call and talk to someone and refused give my 150$ back my grandkids were literally in tears and this lady just wouldnt let them swim so much for a family place.

Front desk people are nice. Breakfast ist nice too, offered in warm and cold. The rate is little over average. Room and bed we have used were nice. Only thing we didn't like during our stay was the visible construction every where. Locationwise it is little tricky to get into hotel during night. Thus Someone might get on way to Canada.

They are under renovation. I stayed Friday night in a King suite (Jacuzzi room) it was very clean and was lucky room was newly renovated. I did manage to have my room key deactivate which we discovered was from my internal heart monitor. Upon checkout I checked into the queen suite (jungle room… a queen bed, and bunk beds) to bring my kids. The room was dirty so let the desk know then left for 4hrs when I returned it still wasn't clean so I complained to front desk and she had housing come clean right then. Also has no mini fridge or microwave and we paid for 2 nights. House keeping found a mini fridge in a room and brought it in. This room has NOT been renovated yet. While sitting in dining area with kids we seen a little girl in the hot tub for 5min. We let the guy at the desk know and he said no one under 14 can be in it. He went to look and seen the kid and turned to go back to desk saying it's owner family they can do anything. Later I took kids to swim and didn't even get 5min cause guys were in courtyard off pool smoking hookah with door open and air was thick of the horrible smell again the guy at desk said they are owners family they don't need to close door so we were left to stay in our room. Today I complained to a sweet lady at desk and she was not happy how we were treated and discounted our room for tonight.

Understand under renovation, but does not excuse uncleanness of rooms during our stay, the standard of breakfast has gone way down, and the presence of staff at desk was nonexistent as they sat in the office on their phones. Highly disappointed as we have been coming here for 3 years and multiple visits in those 3 years. Will be looking at other accommodations for the future visits.

Our room was very clean and service was awesome. I went there for my birthday because we were out of town. I was quite disappointed when I got there to see that the hot tub area had been filled in with cement and was a seating area. The pool water was fantastically warm and very enjoyable. The manager was very accommodating to work with my time frame requests and I was very happy with that. I only gave you three stars because part of going to a hotel pool area is being able to enjoy the hot tub. That was the only reason that I gave three stars instead of 5.

Visiting Port Huron? The Quality Inn had VERY reasonable prices, a pool, kid play area (think of McDonald's Playland, ) and a free breakfast along with some of the most helpful employees and manager you could wish for. It wasn't a super fancy place, but worked well for what I needed at the right price.

Pool was relaxing. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. Staff was helpful and friendly.

This hotel has no idea how to treat customers. I have several rewards programs and the Choice Hotel program is the FIRST I have cancelled. No one cares if you have been sued or if you can't accommodate a late check out that was promised. Arguing with a customer is not the solution. Try to be rational with how you talk to a customer. The hotel is old and outdated. The pull out bed had no linens, pillows or blankets in the room. First room had no working bathroom lights. Forget the fact I paid for a second room for my niece to come swim and she was still kicked out of the pool. Really?

Best place in Port Huron to stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast very good with lots of variety. Close to major shopping. Have stayed here for last 25 years.

Great hotel right off the interstate. Duty Free McDs and gas stations just off property. Samantha is awesome to work with. Rooms are nice and spacious. Definitely easy to call your “overnight home” if you need to.

A cheap standard hotel. At — 16°C, the heating systems have never failed. In the arcade room no game console worked, of 3 3 did not work. At breakfast there is a better choice, so not only muffins and pancackes.

Great friendly service. I had a small issue with my room, nothing big. They upgraded my room to a suite without even asking. I told them they didn't have to, but they insisted. Great managers and staff at the front desk. I will stay here again.

We have stayed here 5 or 6 times now, it has become our pitstop before heading to Canada. After trying several other hotels it became our fav. Friendly staff, though sometimes it has felt under staffed. We have had clean rooms during each stay. The indoor pool is a decent size, there is a bathroom, play area and hot tub in the pool area. The lobby and food area is clean and comfortable. The free continental breakfast is decent, nothing fancy, but our 10 yr old loves it. Easy access to the interstate and bridge to Canada. The only issue we had was problems with our cable, when they couldn't fix it themselves they offered to switch rooms for us but we declined. It hasn't changed our opinion and we will be back.

Pool was too cold to swim, thoughts of more than one guest. Staff clearly did not want to be there on Thanksgiving! When I have to work during Holiday's I'm just thankful I have a job. Breakfast was terrible… no knives, no cups for juice which probably was just as well as the juice ran out anyway, no hot water for tea, no yoghurts other than 0% not good for kids and worse of all no staff to ask for these things. No light in bathroom, and seemed to be shorting a wire as would flick on then off straight away. Told front desk who apparently where going to repair before the end of shift — that never happened not very nice showering in the dark with a shower that whistled so loud the whole time the water was turned on it was awful. Requested late check-out which apparently was added to our nites, get house keeping at 10:45 to ask if we're nearly ready to leave. When I told of late check-out she wasn't too pleased. A real shame as we had stayed here in the summer and the whole experience was much better. Perhaps time to rethink and look for options in the area.

Showing it's age. Noisy due to proximity to birder crossing. Pool was VERY cold. Nice continental breakfast.

Great place very clean and friendly we checked in very late and the nice counter lady gave us an extra hour to check out. Breakfast was amazing will definitely be back when out this way.

My room was dirty, there was cob web's on all the walls. Bath tub drain drained slow. The inside of the toilet had black dirt on it. Old air conditioner that didn't cool the room down. Was really disappointed I have stayed here before and everything was ok. But it was like they didn't check the room to make sure it was clean before we stayed. I told the manager and all he said was thanks for letting us know. Don't think we will be back.

Great location for seeing the waterfront, very short drive. Short drive to many parks, the lighthouse, etc. Professional and friendly staff. Perfect for families. The pool & playscape are well maintained. The breakfast was nice. Room was very clean. Glad we stayed there.

The location was very close to our destination. There is a nice pool and Continental breakfast. Good value.

I would definitely go again the staff was great especially Skye and the room was very spacious and comfy we all had a wonderful time.

We have stayed there in the past and have had great experiences. This time, we weren't so lucky. I don't know if the owners have changed or what but it was a horrible experience this time.
We booked the St Clair suite with another family for news years eve. When we booked, we were told the room had a king bed, two queen beds and a pull out couch. Which was perfect because we had 6 people staying in the room. So we booked the room for $185. When we checked in and went up to the room we discovered it only had ONE king bed and a pull out sofa bed. Not going to work. So we went back down to the desk to see what we could do. Brianna, the receptionist, was completely overwhelmed as there was a line about out of the door. After about 45 minutes she finally got to us and tried to call a manager to see if she could offer us an additional room since we were down 2 beds. The manager said the only thing they would do was give us two roll away beds or we could get another room for a discounted price of $45. I believe they should have given us another room for free since we were given the wrong infomation at the time of booking. Why would we pay $185 for a room with ONE bed when we had 6 people in our group?! So we settled on the roll away beds because we were already there. But, I knew I wasn't done with the issue yet.

Don't go! Find another hotel! We booked a room along with two other families and had requested our rooms by each other. In our room one of the beds was broken. I called downstairs and Breanna basically said sorry we don't have another queen room available. I asked for a discount as was told no. I went to the front desk later and asked for a managers number, I was ignored. Later she came in the pool area to find me and said she called the owner and he authorized a discount. Later that evening my daughter went to leave our room and the door handle fell off in her hand! We were trapped in our room till we could figure a way out. We told the front desk and all we got was " wow I'm sorry". Our room now has a broken bed and a broken door handle. I called later in the evening for a roll away because the broken bed was so uncomfortable and the woman took 40 min to locate one and then left it by the elevators for me to get. I asked for extra pillows and she said there were none. She would have to steal them from another room. This was another 30 min process. She may have moved quicker if she didn't have 3 kids at work with her that she was trying to keep an eye on. The next morning I asked for a late checkout and was told by the elderly gentleman at the desk that the latest they give is 11:30. Regular checkout is 11:00. That they really don't offer late check out. Over all the staff could have cared less about the condition of our room or our satisfaction.

The rooms were good and the pool and hotub were good but the breakfast is disgusting and the employees suck.

Generous polite staff willing to go the extra mile to make our stay worry free. A special shout out to Alex for solving my van door problem! Breakfast was great with a wide variety of choices.

We were told they lost our reservation and it was a nightmare. The front desk clerk was very nice. They tried to accommodate but weren't very professional.

It was really nice the pool and hot tub was awesome and arcade and the expertise the night crew was nice but the morning guy a little rude therestains on bath floor the breakfast was good only if they sausage bacon breakfast but hotel I would stay at again.

First of all the staff were all great. Front desk check in was very helpful getting us into room early as we were in from out of town for a Saturday afternoon wedding. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. There was a problem however with the plumbing in room 128. Water pooled up in bathtub during shower and toilet would not flush. Had to have maintenance come to work on toilet right away and it still did not work right after that. We honestly spent very little time in the room so this did not effect us too much but would of been nice to have a toilet we could flush.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The employees were very kind and we'll trained. It was one of the best hotel experiences I've had.

From what I've seen the remodeling is done. My room is great. I often stop here when I cross the border.

Lady at the desk was great room was great hotel was great but this is the last time I ever stay at a choice hotel I am done never again I have had a choice member account for at least three years or so now and was told in the beginning that I needed two separate stays and would get a free night stay so lets see ive stayed well over 20 times now and still not a f ing night free every time we stay we call the choice number and book and tell them we want our free night first time we were told we had to call the number and prebook second time we were told we had a free night after that booking third time supposedly they screwed up in booking us the second time and couldnt give us our free room here we are time f ing 20 something and now we haven't gotten enough f ing points built up w t f happened to the two nights booked get free f ing room deal then if I pay cash all of your hotels want deposits on top of the cash for the room ive stayed in at least 1000 hotels in the last 10 years for business and vacation and the only places that want a deposit plus the room fee is choice hotels and I feel completely insulted every d time I'm told a deposit is needed you have my life history with that waste of a rewards card you gave me to fill out I'm supposed to be a valued Customer and member but I feel as we are treated like scum of the earth and the only reason I gave you a try was the two for one deal.

Our room was a legitimate work in progress. Unfinished drywall, paint missing in areas, drywall dust on the cabinets, laquer missing from the doors. The receptionist and cleaning were great. The breakfast was awesome. They seem to suffer from terrible maintenance personnel and an overall lack of attention to detail. Otherwise the rooms would be great. An updated aesthetic is what they were going for but the execution was awful.

Booked a room for a kids birthday party and when I arrived the day of was told that I could only have a limited number of people there. Management was no help whatsoever and they wouldn't refund my money so I could go somewhere else. Will never recommend this place for anything. Very poor customer service.

Horrible stay! Management allowed guest to drink booze in glass bottles in the pool area along with food (Signs clearly say no food or drink in the pool area) Nobody watches the pool area at all. Kids were jumping in, running wild and throwing hard balls around. We also could smell marijuana being smoked in the hallways. I took my kids here to "get away" and swim. The room was cold as ice, took two hours to warm it up. It was the worst stay possible. I would NOT make your reservations here unless you like slumming it.
