The hotel is conveniently located, right off the highway. The rates are great at just under $60/night for a double. The decor and furnishings are dated, but not bad for the price point. The problem is with the cleanliness of the room and linens. The bathroom in particular was dusty, and the walls were dirty, including some mold or mildew. There was hair in the tub drain. Also, the room was not properly stocked. There was a coffee maker in the room — but no coffee. There was only one bath towel, and one of the two washcloths provide was dirty/stained. The clock radio was unplugged, and once plugged in was revealed not to function. The television remote didn't work properly (channel up and down didn't function, the numbers had to be entered for each channel). The outdoor pool area looked quite appealing, but this visit didn't allow time to check it out. The continental breakfast was okay: cold cereal, bagels, toast, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, milk, and a few juice products. Overall, I'd say two stars but for one saving grace: the evening clerk when we checked in was very warm and friendly, suggesting restaurants and giving traffic advice. She earns the third star.

Very nice and clean place. Pretty cheap too. Only gripe would be that the water never got HOT HOT! Some mornings you need a little more than warm. But all and all, a great place and I'll definitely stay there again when I'm up that way.

Our toilet overflowed within 5 minutes of our arrival, but I informed the hostess and she moved us into a new room immediately. She was very welcoming and helpful. The location was easily accessible and in a safe area. The price was right. The rooms, beds, and restrooms were all clean. I had no issues that were not immediately resolved.

We stayed there the weekend of June 1. When we first got to the room, the toilet didn't work, so I took the cover off of the back and the chain wasn't connected to the handle, no big deal, I just reconnected it. But the toilet was filled with black what looked like moldy water, both inside the tank and around the toilet. When I turned the bathroom vent on, it didn't work. After a couple of minutes it did turn on but squealed loudly the whole time. Then we turned the TV on, nothing… Went to the front desk and told them the TV didn't work, so they sent maintenance up. After an hour I called the front desk, their response was that the TV didn't work and they weren't sure what the maintenance guy was going to do and they would call me back. Never got the call… So, no TV for the weekend… The worst part is the clientele that $65 a night motel attracts, the folks in the rooms on both sides of us had kids running up and down the walk way all night screaming, plus the drunk's in the room next to us were fighting and arguing half the night. The rooms are fairly clean and we just stay there when we are fishing, but it's to the point where I will pay a little extra and start staying at the Hampton or Holiday in from now on.

After checking in and going to the room, there was a yellow stain on the bed sheet and what appeared to be dried dark spots and smears on the comforter. After calling the front desk, the person brought new linens but said that they wouldn't be able to change the sheets since house keeping had left for the day. While we were gone for the day they did in fact change the linens. Next day came with house keeping taking the used towels, but not giving us any new clean ones. Called and they brought new towels after about 30 minutes (this was later in the afternoon upon our return). Last night of stay we returned from the days activities and found house keeping never bothered to pay a visit during the day and everything was as we left it… Beds not made up, no change of towels. The front desk staff was apologetic; however, I would not come back here again!

This place was clean and comfortable. We checked for bugs and other issues upon arrival and found none. The bathroom was clean. This hotel was good for the price. I did not give 5 stars due to the smoke alarm chirping all night, the breakfast could have been fresher and the morning clerk did not have a good attitude.

This hotel is recomended for everyone. Management, & staff. Are all friendly. And will assist you in making your stay. Above excellent. Main MGR Heather oversees hotel operations with perfect accuracy. Rooms are very clean and. Comfortable.

Toke me 3 rooms to get a room acceptable where something wasn't broke. Front desk was very apologetic and upgraded the room.

Very dirty room. Sheets and towels were not clean. Hair all over the bathroom and in the sink. Floors were not swept. Smelled like dog. Nasty hotel I've ever stayed in.

Nice rooms and staff was nice. Renovations was a little bit of a headach but good place to stay.

Well I like it there and shame my friends and I been in hotel almost a 2 month and so I been walk around parking alot. So I like it there and I went to lobby and one girl tell me no that I cant get coffee and there alway cafe for free so I can drink. Cuz I never drink water.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Convenient to I-75. Near to William C. Sterling State Park.

Horrible. A bad attempt to turn a construction worker hotel into something nice. Rooms not clean, cigarette butts everywhere. House keepers smoking. Nothing good to say except new mattresses were comfortable. Were planning on staying 3 nights; stayed one and checked into the Holiday Inn Express next door for remainder of our time in Michigan.

I recently stayed at the Days Inn in Monroe Michigan as an overnight guest. The first room I received was dirty and had not been cleaned. The next room I got was okay. Their vending machine was broken so I was told to go to the hotel next door to get something to drink from theirs. The next night the room I received was being worked on. The hotel was changing out mattresses and there were stacks of old mattresses outside in various places along with the wrapping for those mattresses in several other parking spots. So I had to go back down and get yet another room. The rooms were old and although they were trying to update the hotel it was not one of my favorite places to stay.

Room clean and neat toilet ran all night like it was flushing itself and not enough parking for boats or trailers half of a 4 slice toaster worked continental breakfast with something to be desired.

Check-in was easy nice, & clean, a very special evening for us. Easy check — out.

Asked for a non smoking room but was given a smoking room with a TV that didn't work. I should have complained and asked for another room. It's close to I75 that's the only nice thing I can say about it.

Aside from some needed remodeling in its physical plant, this former Red Roof Inn had clean, comfortable rooms and helpful and friendly staff.

Great staff, very quiet nice area nice rooms remolded. Good coffee, Great price. I Will always stay here when I'm in town.

The name should be changed to the bed bug inn! Nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in while traveling. First room we got was dirty hadn't cleaned, including bed sheets. Second room looked better until we returned at night at found bugs underneath the covers. Was so tired just slept on top. Next day woke to bug bites all over both of ankles.

Rooms are nice, people at the front desk are super BUT housekeeping one in particular will barge into your room even when you say one second then get an attitude with you lol.

We have stayed here many times whenever we come to Monroe to fish for walleyes. The rooms were always clean and we had good service. However our last stay was completely opposite. Since the lobby is being renovated, the office was located in one of the motel rooms. Our room was dirty and smelled bad. The AC didnt work, either. The room next to us was obviously running a prostitution or drug ring. We won't be staying here anymore. It was much better when it was the RedRoof Inn.

Stayed here on my way to Detroit. Room was nice remodelled recently I'd say. Good Wi-Fi in the room I was in anyway.

Newly Renovated, New Carpet, Half Tile And Decent Shower! Very Friendly Staff! Had A Bit Of Noisey People In Back, Asked To Just Move Closer To Front. Was No Big Deal! Will Stay Here Everytime I Come Here!

Worse place I have stayed in my life, so far. Dirty rooms. Lingering smell of sweat. First room had black stained sheets, broken fridge, broken microwave, missing iron, towels & toiletries (shampoo, lotion, etc). 2nd room has cigarette burns in sheets. Breakfast provided was limited to 2 cereals, yogurt or individually wrapped slices of white bread. Coffee was never brewed for the duration of breakfast. Pool was 1/2 full of water and closed off to guests, despite being the end of June and 90 degrees all day. STAY AWAY unless you feel like "roughing it" while on vacation.

My room was very dirty. No vanity in the handicap room. Shower had a slippery floor. I used the ironing board for a table to put my toiletries on. Bed spread was not clean looking with stains. I asked for a clean one and 2 more hand towels at 9pm, and was told they were locked up and they were not available. For a nonsmokers room it smelled like smoke. I am unhappy.

This was the nastiest place my husband and I have ever stayed in since we've been married. The room was supposed to be a non smoking room, but it was so obvious that people had smoked in the room, it was riddled with smoke smell among other nasty smells, we had to spray Febreze every day at least two or three times a day. There were cigarette burns on the bed spreads, chairs and curtains and there was stuff all over the walls and the floors were disgusting. When I checked us in I was told that the room had been "deep cleaned" the cleaning crew really needs to be trained on what "deep cleaning" means. The only ok thing about the place was the people at the front desk were nice, however, we will never stay at this place again or any other Days Inn again.

Very poor management. All they want is the money. No towels, No sheet change. Found needles in the parking lot. Really nice place for drug dealers and hookers. Their Wi-Fi sucks at best. Had a letter mailed to the hotel they returned it after a told them it was going to be mail to the location with my name and room number on the envelope. The roof leaked and there is some nice mold growing on the ceiling. Very loud during the day with house keeping and management scream at each other. Parking is overcrowded people park in the grass. I would avoid at all cost.

Very dirty, had to move to 3 rooms due to sheets not changed hair all over them when complaned to eric manager was treated very rudely night front desk person was not friendly or helpfull would never stay again. Tryed 2 leave and the front desk called the police on us! and they had drug drealers outside/rooms.

Reasonable rates. Rooms are usually clean and comfortable.

We love staying at this RRI! We're in Monroe, MI at least twice a year for flyball tournaments. They're pet friendly, and the staff is always kind to my dogs. The rooms are very clean (and updated). Especially like the new heating/cooling units! More control over temperature. The dogs love the extra King room, especially the big, comfy bed with lots of pillows. The continental breakfast is nice too. As a fan of flavored coffee cream, I was thrilled to see them add this to the breakfast. If you're traveling with pets and looking for a nice place to stay in Monroe, then this Red Roof Inn is for you!
