It is a very dated place. If you are a coffee drinker, don’t come here. Worst watered down coffee in lobby and terrible room packet. Hair dryer didn’t work but one was brought in for me. The phone was so nasty!
Scratchy towels and had bare minimum, one each. Must say the bed was very comfortable.

Worst experience at a hotel ever (& we didn't even stay). We had a fun overnight stay planned here with our kids. Called ahead of time & we were told they had their pool/hot available. Arrived there, walked in & were welcomed by the sound of snoring from the back office, looked to our left & that's when we saw the caution tape blocking off the CLOSED hot tub. The front desk associate never came out to greet us so we left & called on our way to a fully operational hotel, we asked to cancel our reservation since we were misinformed of the pool/hot tub status. The front desk associate answered after we called a couple times (sorry to interrupt your nap dude) & informed us that we needed to call the website we booked through & we wouldn't be charged. We called the website & they informed us that the hotel refused our refund. Icing on the cake — this hotel not only charged us for a reservation we didn't use, but also charged us for the 3 small dogs we were going to bring. Shady shady shady.

Is literally the worst place to stay next to the travelodge. The owner doesn't do his job and the general manager snorts coke in the office and is wasted on the job. Bed bugs, mold, unclean hotel. Don't stay here.

After an awful stay the night prior with Rodeway Inn, we were more than happy with our room at the Quality Inn. The room was clean, and the hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. My only complaint was there was no mini fridge (not sure if this is due to covid or for other reasons), and the noise that comes in through the door from the other guests in the hallway-though neither is a huge deal. I'd definitely recommend this hotel :)

Booked ahead and checked if pool was open they said pool was open and it wasn't I understand with covid but I would not pay this much for a room with no fridge and my chair was broken.

The pool and hot tub are not heated properly and maintained efficiently. No sauna available. The room was basic, here again not maintained properly and the cleaning crew on Saturday only did half of their work, the cleaner on Monday did a very quick and efficient job and deserves praise. We ran out of sausage and eggs on Tuesday morning. The rest of the weekend was very nicely done. For a quick one night stay, I would recommend you, for a long stay like I had, price wise would be the only reason I would recommend you. For quality of stay, I wouldn't recommend you.

Had car trouble both days I stayed. The staff on both days went well out of their way to get me back on the road. Superior to all the 4 plus star hotels I've stayed at. I'll definitely use quality inn as first choice from now on! Customer service is priority number one at Hudsonville Michigan Quality inn. Thanks a million.

The staff is very helpful and courteous. The inside of the facility was very clean. It is not new, but everything is kept clean and neat. I feel the value is very good and would recommend staying if friendly staff and cleanliness are at the top of your list. The only reason for four out of five stars is because the outside landscaping needs some care.

Was a house keeper and he only paid us $5 to $6 dollars per room. People never leave tips. And he expected the rooms to be really clean. A person can't servive on that kind of pay. No elevators to the top floor.

Not clean. Our room carpet felt slightly greasy, needs updated. Beds were too small. The window and window ledge were dirty, the bathtub ledge had yellow crusty spots and could not have been wiped down between guests. There was a spot of blood on the sheets. Every time we called the front desk from the room no one answered, every time we called from our cell it was. But the worst part was going to the pool. There were spots of dried blood around the pool edges (informed employee who said she would tell the manager) and other unknown crusties… food? The ceiling looked coated in mold. There was a greasy film on top of the water in the hot tub and the bottom of both the pool and hot tub was dirty and the paint lining was worn away. You could see where people scrubbed a spot with their hands to show the layer of grime. Needs cleaned up and updated. We were too grossed out to even try breakfast with the uncleanliness of the room and pool.

First off let me start out by saying before we even checked in we received a phone call from hotel staff stating that they changed all the beds from queen to extended double. Well, we booked two queen rooms. However, we accepted the 20% discount because we were informed the beds were only a inch different on both sides. I thought not a big deal. So, we check in and get to our rooms. The beds were significantly smaller then what we were told. Still not a deal breaker. We start putting our personal items away and I head into the bathroom. Upon closer inspection I discover the tub still has water all over it as if some one just showered in it and hair on one wall of the shower. I called down to the lobby and requested some one from housekeeping clean the tub. I was told" I'm sorry, I don't have anyone here to do that and I can't because I have a bad back" Um ok. So I said I guess I need to do it myself? So I have to walk down and get cleaning supplies and scrub it myself. Absolutely ridiculous. After that, we head out to dinner. I come back and use the bathroom to which I discover the toilet will not flush and just keeps running. I pull off the back of the toilet and realize the drain chain became unhooked and we had to hook it back up ourselves. Meanwhile, the manager refused to comp the room and only gave us a 10 percent discount. We head to the pool to try to salvage the night and the pool is ice cold and I could barely get down the stairs to the pool.

Very inexpensive, clean place. Needs updating which I feel there working on. Works very responsive and polite.

Don't even think this deserves one star to be honest. Absolutely filthy hotel. When I was here, a window was broken out and was poorly covered with plywood and a 'we're hiring' banner. I had a moldy cup of coffee sitting in my microwave, and a dirty sock in the corner of my room. Extremely old building that smells of smoke, and the ceiling is falling apart. Would not recommend this to a prison inmate, or anyone else. Pay the extra money to stay somewhere decent.

Wow. I work on the road and couldn't tell you the last time I stayed in a hotel with no mini fridges or microwaves. Rooms could be updated. Not enough outlets next to beds. Staff was friendly enough.

The most expensive and nicest room they had available had cracked ceilings and moldy tubs. The room had dust in it and none of the appliances were plugged in. Our food had to warm up before we could put in the fridge. And when we told the fat desk receptionist she told me she didn't care and to f off.

Personally didn't have a problem with the place. My fiance and I decided to rent one of the king rooms and it was modestly nice. Even had a heat lamp in the bathroom to warm the floors! Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is the lack of microwave and mini fridge.

This place is definitely worth all 5 stars. Everybody keeps to themselves unless you need help then you'll get nice friendly staff members offering quality service. The pool is great and the hot tub is definitely nice to have too. They had a few other things like a sauna and a workout room that I didn't choose to visit while I stayed but if you need a good place to call home for a bit then this is the place to go.

Amazing staff, very friendly and hospitable. The building is another story, pool and hot tub in need of refinishing as well as carpet. Some stains on blankets.

The breakfast was satisfactory… The room was rundown. There was obvious water damage on the ceiling in the shower, and above the sink. Like the room above had a leak at some point. The staff was friendly. I would stay here again because it was so cheap.

Choice Hotel — choose elsewhere. Anywhere would probably be better than this. The grounds do not look at all as depicted on website. I usually take harsh negative reviews with a grain of salt but believe what you read about Hudsonville Quality Inn. Filthy, neglected, rundown. Mold in ice machine. Mold in bathrooms. Wallpaper dirty and falling off the walls. Dusty dirty filth everywhere. Next to nothing for AC and low fan output. Room too hot to sleep. So bad, afraid to look for bed bugs because no where else to go late Saturday night. No building security; keypads all disabled or broken. Phone service to desk intermittently operable per desk attendant. Depressing to subject myself to spending a sleepless night there. I don't know where they found people to write raving reviews. Read the one-star reviews on Trip and believe what you read!

Better named Low Quality Inn. Bed had hairs all over sheets, hallway carpet stainwd with the usual bad smell. You know what kind of hotel you are in when the bathroom light haa a timer on it. The only reason for the two stars is the helpful desk clerk.

The pillows were soft, beds comfy and service absolutely outstanding for more reasons than I could list. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice pool area. Carpeting and furniture are due for a change. The rooms air conditioner produced a smell like urine. At first thought it was the carpeting. Was given a new room that smelled the same way. Management was not at all apologetic. Rooms do not have a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. Hot tub out of order. Coffee, terrible. $79 room for $114

This hotel is in drastic need of a facelift. Some staff were friendly, but had an employee get very short with me for coming down for breakfast "early. " It's posted in my room from 6am to 10am, but outside the breakfast room it say 6:30… Get your information straight! Don't take it out on the guests. Besides that… hot tub jets do not work, pool needs to be cleaned, room smells like smoke, no exhaust fan in or near the bathroom and vending machine prices are stupid expensive. Update this facility, add on a restaurant/bar and hire positive people to manage your breakfast. Make the rate the guest pays more worth it.

It's clean for an old hotel, and the staff was very nice. The hotel is extremely dated. Wall paper is peeling, carpet isn't stretched anymore, my window was leaking rain into the room the entire weekend. The kids loved the pool, however there weren't clean pool towels so we used the room towels. Room service didn't come either day, so we took our trash and dirty towels downstairs ourselves about 6:00pm to get new ones. The ice machine is broken, but the employees are super nice and got us some from the back. The thing that bothered me most about this hotel is there was a broken window on the ground floor. It looked like someone had broken in. Instead of having it fixed, there was plywood over the broken window with a giant sign/banner to cover it. It had been broken for a while. There are no elevators in the hotel.

Good quality room. Very impressed with the jacuzzi! The red light bathroom however.

A cheap alternative — really there are only a couple of alternatives in this area so flip a coin. We did not enjoy this Quality Inn. The whole place seemed dark, as if they were using very low wattage bulbs everywhere. A cost cutting measure. The room didn't seem very clean and the whole place was in need of a good remodeling. Credit where credit is due; they were just starting to remodel and that is likely why our room was so shabby. Under those circumstances I think they should have charged us an even lower rate.

The location was pretty good. There were restaurants fairly close to the hotel and the rooms were very adequate. The service was great as well.

The rooms were well kept, smoke free, and quite cozy. The service was excellent even in the late hours of the night! They have a nice pool accessible through your key card and delicious continental breakfast!

Friendly staff, easy check in, cold pool and small jacuzzi. Rooms are not updated and a little dirtier than I would like, but great for a quick stop over.

Not as good as other Quality inn, rooms are old and smells bad, staff is not friendly. No elevator in the hotel.

Staff was awesome. Room was comfortable and clean. Didn't get a chance to try the hot tub or the pool, but both looked very inviting. Breakfast was pleasant. Eggs, sausage, waffles and cereal. Left rested and full.

Stayed here overnight on our way back home. Bed was ok but the king bed had what we're basically throw pillows, did not care for that. Shower was decent, but the room wasn't that quiet as we could sort of hear other guests. Free breakfast was underwhelming, seemed like microwaved sausage links and eggs and a waffle maker with a few pastries. Overall ok, but not great.

The outside did not look much like it fit the name "Quality", but inside, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast was fairly good. Additionally, the Wifi was a bit above average for a hotel.

First impression — driving around the building, a window on the first floor is boarded up with wood. Upon check in the lobby smelled like a public porta potty. The manager on duty reached down her bra for her personal cell phone … As she was speaking to me, like it was a completely appropriate and proffessional normalcy. The back door used to access the middle of the building remained open all day… supoosed to be locked and accessed by an active key card. What's the point? Walking into the room the first thing I did was check the beds (I do this regardless of it being a 2 star or 5 start hotel). The made bed had food and crumbs all over it… The room had a stale scent of urine/ bathroom to it. The bathroom had garbage from it's previous occupants. I went to the front desk and kindly explained I'd like new sheets on my beds due to the food and crumbs. With no apology she asked "which bed? " And after a long blank stare she finally understood that both beds were to be changed. Again while reaching down her shirt for her personal cell phone for some reason!?! I could go on for days on the details of how disgusting this place was… Hair, garbage, dirt, smell… Everything. Positive side : While checking out, they did compensate for the dirty beds. 25% off the first night. That was a pleasant surprise.

Comfortable & clean room. Breakfast was nice and Wi-Fi works great.

Disgusting hotel in Hudsonville.

Not the best room I ever had. No frig or microwave in the room, the mattress springs seemed to be poking out. The doors to come into the building that did had a security lock on it did not work so anyone could walk in. There pillows were very small and limp for a king size bed. There were 4 of them but they were not as big as a single pillow. I called for more and they brought some to our room. The price was okay for the area. I called the front desk by pressing 0 on the phone and never got an answer so I had to call the front desk on my cell phone.

The Hudsonville Michigan Quality Inn was very Good we arrived late the Lady was very helpful even carried some of our bag. The Food was Good location was great. They had a home town feel for us California misfits.

The mattress springs were broken. The bathroom light had a mind all of it own it would work then it wouldn't work. There non smoking policy only applies to smokers not card caring pot heads. The chemicals in the hot tub burnt your eyes.

The two beds room was large and very clean. To bad it didn't have a microwave or refrigerator! Would stay again.

Breakfast food was ok but the room was dirty and the toilet was clogged. Also the hot tub was broken and we found worms in the pool and hot tub and they didn't do anything about it. Overpriced. Will never go back.

Called the quality inn in southfield mi. Before we left home on may 1, 2015 I asked if the had a room for 2 nights checking in that night and leaving on sunday. The man on the phone said yes I asked 3 times do you guys except pets. Yes we do. He asked how many adults I said 2 adults and 1 dog. I even asked if there was a charge for pets no charge for pets. So I went ahead and booked the room. After driving 3 hours across the state. My husband goes in to check into the hotel they run his card. Then they tell him they are not pet friendly. While I had them on the phone I had them on speaker my husband heard the whole conversation. He came back out to the car I went in there. I told him I asked 3 times if the took pets and the guys said yes and when he asked asked how many adults I said 2 adults and 1 dog. He said i'm sorry you can't stay here with a dog. I went back out to the car. My husband went back in and asked about them running his card. They told him they did not run his card. We get to the other hotel. They ran his card there the card was declined. So the quality inn did run his card. $153.28. Thank god we had another account at another bank. I called the quality inn after we checked in at the other hotel they said it will take 2 business days for the money to go back into our account. Here it is wednesday may 6, 2015 they money is still not back in our account. I'm rather upset about this.

For its reasonable pricing, you can't expect too much more from this hotel. Our room was very clean and well-equipped. All the room furnishings worked fine. The breakfast was actually surprisingly extensive for this class of hotel, in my opinion. The Wi-Fi is pretty slow and a little unreliable, but it's fine for email or Facebook. Streaming video might be a stretch though. Also, the hot tub and exercise room were both "out of order" but you don't get the sense they ever actually plan on fixing them, so don't count on using either of those amenities if you stay. Overall, still recommended for the price.
