Kensington Inn - Howell Hotel

Very angry with the owner with the long greased hair. My 11 year old daughter and I walked past him and he grunted and I turned around and saw him staring at her. He's lucky I didn't hurt him. Arrogant prick.

Worse place ever don't ever rent a room there… the mgr chris is rude and disrespectful and belittles the less fortunate… please don't give this gross place any business…

Spacious, clean rooms, quiet. Microwave and fridge in the room, coffee in the lobby. Will stay here again next time business brings us to the area.

Free Wi-Fi free breakfast is all good they have good service and the place is clean.

Tolerable. Showing many signs of the last phase of life for a lodging facility. It'll get you through the night if your easily satisfied. .

Strong, nasty odor, sheets are covered in cigarette burns and are just filthy. The outlets don't fit many modern chargers, the mirror is shattered and muddy.

Not the Ritz but affordable, neat and clean. Located right off freeway so easy-off, easy-on.

Nice place to stay. Not many choices in the area, and got a discount. $90 room for $60 on a weekend.

Nasty. Strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room, cigarette butt on the floor, dirty. I was there on a Friday night and noise until very late.

Clean quiet with comfy beds. Apparently popular for people w kids.

Horrible motel, worst in Michigan. Found a noose in the room. Alcoholic who lives there backed into my car and tried to force himself into our room and assaulted my fiance. Management refused to help, had to hold him at gunpoint while calling the police. Police officer said they get calls like that all the time, he told me to keep the gun next to the bed that night and leave first thing in the morning for our own safety. Alcoholic still lives there.

I barely walked in and smelled a musk oder the bed sheets had burn holes and I didnt even want to check the actual bed/mattress underneath. When I went to the bathroom ti take a shower there was a bunch of hair on the floor. Yes I understand the hotel is cheap and the housekeepers and getting paid minimum wage (assuming from the cleanliness quality) and its in a bad spot in town the cops were looking for a crazy lady running around breaking stuff at her ex/boyfriends motel room which was right down the parking from mine. I rated Kennsington Inn a 2 star for nice staff but thats about it.

Do not go to this place we bought a room for 2 nights and got kicked out the next day for no reason the manager is a complete dick every time and this is the second time he's done this. Trying to charge us another $150 for no reason this place is a scam and we will be reporting it to the police talking to the owner and going to court.

My friend stayed last night the room smelled of weed a cigarettes and the heat didn't work and I got down to — 5 and the manager Chris is very rude and unfriendly the rest of the staff were good. The breakfast is only coffee and toast.

Cheapest price in the immediate area. Slightly more expensive than you'd expect, for the level of room quality and service.

It is disgusting and over priced. Nothing worked. Ice machine broke, laundry facilities destroyed your clothes. My bathroom door was held on buy four big pieces of ducktape. Snd there was a huge whole in the bathroom door where some one had smashed it with a large object. Not to mention all the nasty bugs crawling everywhere. And the worst part is yhe front desk employee named Chris. He was such a jerk! And I almost got run down by the guy plowing at 80 miles an hour. Do not ever go here! Oh ya fyi there is no pool. And they havent used it in over 4 years.

Room was clean and comfortable. We had a Jacuzzi Suite witch had a small microwave and fridge, witch also looked clean and sanitary. The only things I noticed that would have improved our stay was to add extra pillows and programming that included a guide, I spent 20 minutes searching each channel to find an enjoyable program or movie.

Not fancy, but has an awesome bed, shower and internet. It's great for the price and very clean. There's a decent size fridge and microwave. Good deal.

Exactly what you would expect from a weekly. Internet cuts out every 30 minutes, no coffee pot in rooms, staff is rude, entitled and not helpful, had to ask several times for sheets and towels even on their weekly cleaning day. Still too expensive for what you get. One positive, the rooms are clean and bug free.

This hotel is right by Taco bell and I love that. The hotel room consequently smells of burrito bowls. Not a huge problem, it airs out nicely by opening the door. The curtains were clean. Everything was clean.

The staff is absolutely awesome. Chris the manager definitely knows his job. He has to deal with a lot of issue with customers/tenants. My opinion is he does his job extremely well to handle all issues.

Staff was super friendly and personable. Clean for as frequently guests stay here. Really can't Co plain about any possible mess in here… locked my key in my door twice and they were very willing to give me more will defiantly come back!

Pros: The day manager (Chris) is understanding and willing to negotiate. Good prices. Weekend staff is nice. Cons: There is mold in the toilet, AC unit, and sink faucet (the sink water is undrinkable, it made both my fiance and I ill). There are loose nails sticking out of the wall. Housekeeping is rude, and won't change your bedsheets until you leave (we were there for 3 weeks, not once did they change the sheets). The night manager (Yvonne) is condescending. Overall: This is a cheap place to stay at for a night or two, but anything beyond that is a hazard to yourself.

Cheap motel. Can't expect to have everything fine and dandy. In all, a good place to sleep for the night.

A little old school could use some updates but over all good I would come back for the price and the nice lady at the front desk.

The staff is friendly and they offer breakfast but the cleanliness is gross. I cleaned the room myself and after being there a few days I found a cockroach in my room. I'm guessing there is bed bugs. Super gross. I won't be returning until the carpets are replaced and they hire a better cleaning staff.

I don't understand the complaints against the managers, both chris and Yvonne have been amazing. They're understanding and somewhat negotiable, under their own circumstances. No, the rooms aren't large, but they are clean. The beds will slip off of the box, but not awkwardly, or far enough to hurt yourself, unless you "slip and slide" off the top. Maids are super friendly, will change the trash. This is a semi perm place, you're expected to smoke outside, and dump your garbage, but it's a privacy issue. If you're too lazy to walk 3 feet out of your door? Well.

Howell MI basically it is a roof and a bed don't look too closely around the room or you will find it not very cleanly also they don't change your sheet until you check out also they were full of cigarette burn even tho the rooms are supposed to be non smoking not that great of a stay but they are not to expensive but you get what you pay for.

Was very nice everything worked that I needed it was a place to lay my head.

The beds are falling sideways off of the box springs, but there is a microwave and a refrigerator and the room is very reasonably priced. It's a decent place to flop, and pretty comfy to sleep in.

Horrible experience. Bedrooms are nasty and the management here is beyond unprofessional and rude. Will never stay here again.

Maid said we had diapers everywhere but we didn't they gave me some towels with black hair on them I asked to get new ones they gave me some scratchy ones and told me the only hotel guests that get the nice towels are the ones who take care of the scratchy ones and the maid gave me a dirty look and I asked if they could empty the trash can out the was full they told me to do it myself and the lady at the front desk is rude and the manager Chris is rude its not work even staying there especially that it smells like smoke in the room.

For the price and great for my dog I can't beat it. Needs work but all and all I'm happy. The staff has been very helpful and very nice. Been here sine November 1st staying several months before returning to Florida. Beautiful area!
