Less expensive then most others in area, recent renivations have been happening to improve an already excelent establishment; jucuzzi room or suite are available for a bit more then a kitchenette room which is only slightly more expensive then a standard room; there is a (I believe seasonal) in ground pool but no lifeguard & please not wet outfits in lobby, the ice machine/vending does have bathroom for swimmers & other guests in building just outside of loby, & they have longer pool hours to help stay cool this summer; just an awesome place — come check them out, but use Miller Road entrance, renivations blocking side street entrance.

I didn't stay there. My friend did. But the location wasn't bad at all…

The room cleaners are very nice. The people that are other staff are rude and inconsiderate. They do not listen to your concerns or questions, I would not recommend this hotel.

We got a room for my daughter n my cousin and I. It was a hot day we wanted to swim and relax but as were winding down I went to lay down and there was a huge bedbug crawling on our pillow. I got a tissue grabbed it and took it to front desk we wanted our money back but instead put us in a jazzcui suite which cable doesnt work and I went to turn on the air amd there was what looked to be a roach crawling on it. Im very unhappy with this place. I will be at the front desk in the morning demanding my money back n hopefully have them pay for the cleaning of all of our things. Not only am I not going to be able to sleep but now have to take my belongings to laundry mat n make sure I dont bring them things home with us… We come for a good night not another bill… I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Swam everyday. Did an 3 day stay for a funeral. Day arrived Sunday special $37 that helped our alot. We had a great time right next to everything food, Target and hair store. Staff was awesome very respectful.

The staff tried hard and my one nights stay was nice. But this place could really use some updates.

The first day I came I was amazed at how happy-go-cherry the front desk clerk was. The prices are very affordable, and I like the layout and space much better than Knight's Inn a little up the road. The rooms I've been in so far have been mostly clean, except for one. In Rm 263 found a bed bug in the bathroom, and a big roach was crawling in there. Noticed there was some boric powder in the crevices of the wall and floor by the refrigerator. Reported it immediately and was given a better room. Don't count much on service concerning housekeeping. If you need something you have to call up to the front desk to ask. Maintanance is on call. I haven't seen not one police vehicle here so far, and is mostly quiet. Also, if you're not afraid of spirits… there is one in Rm 264. There was unexplainable noises coming from the picture above the bed nearest to the door. Took a pic of my son and caught an image of a woman right in front of the mirror, so I have proof… I just dropped my rating as of today 3-29-18 due to just finding out that my family were put on some sort of "Do not rent to" list saying we owe a $25 late fee debt, and they don't want us on the property… The messed up part was that nobody ever told us that upfront, and we heard it through somebody else that was there that we were familiar with who heard it in while they were in the office… smh. We have been there several times, and not once had anyone told us this while checking in.

Wanting to have a fun weekend with the family, I tried their suite which rents for $124 a night; what a mistake it was! First off, half the lights didn't work. Ok, I guess we'll watch some TV, or not, because the remote control doesn't work for either TV and there's no buttons on the sets! Maintenance was so helpful too, an hour later! Then I decide to try out the jacuzzi tub, until I saw the layer of filth in it. And finally, after accepting the stay was a big mistake, I was just ready to get some rest. I unfold the sleeper only to find out there's no bedding at all for it! Needless to say, it was the worst stay I ever had. I only give two stars because a very helpful worker tried her best to apologise for the horrible stay, but I highly recommend using the red roof inn just up the road. Unfortunately, red roof was booked full on this particular evening.

I just checked in it’s 4:30am because I needed a quick nap so I could keep driving. The staff was friendly and precise. Then I get to my room and it is lackluster to say the least. I bring my items in, then go to the bathroom. As I flush the toilet a MOUSE ran over my foot. Now I can’t sleep and am upset. I’m really questioning the cleanliness of this room. It also smells very heavily of smoke and cleaner.

Location in Google was good, parking lot was not plowed and my car got stuck. Staff was nice. Rooms were okay but not the best. Could be cleaner then they were. Need to be plowed better as well.

Roach motel. My daughter stayed here. She was assaulted while there. Because she was transported to the hospital via ambulance some if her belongings were left behind. The staff denied having her things. Guess they kept them for persinal use. Nasty.

Bath tub Was Disgusting Wasnt Cleaned Properly Hair In The Tub Cigarette Burns In The Bed Try To switch Rooms And Took Us 15 Min To Get The Door Open On The 2nd One And The TV Did Not Work In That One smdh They Need Better Maintenance And Better Management Obviously.

Pretty sure all those positive reviews are fake. Absolutely terrible experience staying here. My boyfriend and I came to stay for 2 nights and couldn't last one hour. They have a major BUG problem. Asked to switch rooms and manager was very hostile. I noticed someone else mentioned a lot of those 5 star reviews are written by some anon Google accounts (HINT: FAKE REVIEWS). No idea why anyone would choose to stay here when there is a place as cheap and better across the road.

Tl;dr: this place sucked. Don't come here. Seediest motel I have ever stayed. Everything is broken down and dilapidated. I normally don't mind staying in crappy places, but this place was the absolute worst. Room smelled of smoke, mattresses are worn-down, no housekeeping, no one ever takes out the trash, and there was all sorts of yelling and shouting. I stayed here a week. Asked for a refund if I checked out early, but they wouldn't give it to me. Also in a shady part of town, which I didn't realize until too late. EDIT: I love how just about every 5/5 review on here is anonymous, by “A Google User” whereas just about every 1/5 review on here has actual people’s names… just something to mull over before making your choice of hotel.

Stayed one night. Sunday special. Room was not bad. Bed was comfy staff was polite only issue I had was the toilet ran every 10 min. Room could have used some fresh paint and a newer tv. But for the price it was a nice night's rest.

Cheap and conveniently close to the interstate and mall. Though I would choose super 8. Especially if travelling with family.

Really close to shopping centers and resturants. The young lady at the front desk was very eager and helpful. Rooms were average but clean.

I have been coming to The Home Town Inn for a few years. We enjoy the nights when we get a jacuzzi room. Yes, they do have nice jacuzzi rooms!

Stayed in the jacuzzi suite and it was AMAZING, this same type of room was gonna cost us about 209.99 plus tax at holiday inn and we only paid 109.99 plus tax here for basically the same room! The jets feel amazing on your back and the hot tub is nice and spacious.

I be kicking it at the hometown. Its got a good price. Need some new tvs.

Horrible place. Drugs and prostitutes run rampid through out the entire campus. Not a place to vacation or take your kids. They present as a nice place with a pool until you get in there and you realize you're in a ghetto motel.

I am so glad we came to Home Town Inn. We had a reservation at Super 8 but they wouldn't honor our reservation because they were sold out but had a room with one bed for $90. WHAT? Anyways we got a room for $66 and slept just fine. What a blessing.

Stay away. Do not even waste your time with this one. We needed somewhere to stay during a 2 day festival in Clio, MI & this was one of the first to pop up when our friend searched for hotels. Got there and before we even open the door to the small lobby, we hear yelling. Three young women were very angry & screaming that they wanted their money back because the room had mice & was dirty. They said it was the most run down place they had been to and that we should just turn around. So that was enough for us. It is also enough for me to give a one star. Seeing these other reviews now, I think this place needs a major makeover & moral boost.

The crack dealers were beyond helpful, the junkies kept pandering to a minimal 5$ & the sweet smell of shake & bake meth was in the air… Bring the family, leave a bachelor, cause if the bugs don't eat ya, the water will kill ya…

If I could rate it as 0 I would! That place is gross and filled with hookers and drug dealers! That's the only people that stadiu stay at that DUMP! Bed bugs & all…

Wi-Fi don't work coffee and donuts never any coffee and run out of donuts by 7am but rooms are clean.

Thank you Andy for being such a gracious host to our client. Very friendly management and staff. Client had a minor issue with a room and was quickly moved to a different one. Great location to boot!

The good news is the staff is very friendly. Also the water pressure was good. I have stayed in a lot of places both good and bad and this may have been the worst. I was booked for two nights. I stayed one. The next morning I left with all of my stuff and stayed at a friend's house. They told me they will be doing a major renovation in a few months. Let's hope they do. Even if they redid all of the rooms and remodeled everything they would still need to rethink the clientele. I came back from work at 12:30 AM to a guy sitting in his car blasting rap music filled with expletives while his two little children climbed all over him. There were other little kids running around in the parking lot at least until 1:30 AM. At some point you need to decide if you are motel or a half way house and embrace that decision.

Pool, Free Cable, Free Wi-Fi and a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.

I always enjoy my stay. They definitely have curbed the fighting and partying at 5 in the morning. I appreciate that since I still have to work after a night with my girl.

They have made some changes like added security and a perimeter fence, which makes the motel feel more enclosed. I guess when you are alone, it makes you feel safer. Personally, I like the small neighborhood feel I get when I am staying here. It's cozy and laid back.

We started coming here back in 2006, when my daughter moved to the area. When we visit her and the grandkids we stay at the motel so that we can get a good night's sleep and avoid being a bother. We always get 1 of 2 rooms for handicapped guests. The rooms are roomy and they are easily accessible, which is great at my age.

Nice rooms, nice staff and great price. Everyone is very helpful and go the extra mile for their guests.

My family stays here for our yearly reunion and they are very accommodating. We can always count on great service and smiling faces.

I stayed at the hotel for a week. The rooms were very nice and they even had a picnic area where me and my family were able to barbecue and have a picnic. The staff were very accommodating and saw to it that our stay was great. They had great prices for our weekly stay. Our room came with cable, HBO, a refrigerator and a microwave for mt family's use. They truly made our stay feel like a home away from home.

I was passing through and needed a place to nap. I just happened to drive pass the home town inn and saw the room rate. The young lady at the service window was very nice and accomdating. She put me I'm a nice room in a quiet area. Before I knew it, it was time to get back on the road. It's was a great and quiet experience.

The rooms reeked of cig smoke. As soon as I opened the door to the 1st room we were put in I said "nope, this must be a smoking room. " And went to the front desk to get a nonsmoking room. The next room wasn't as bad, but it still reeked of smoke. When I got home I had to wash even the clothes that were still unworn BC they picked up the smell. The worst part: when I got home I had 8 bites all over my body. They itched like crazy and when I went through all the laundry from the weekend I found a bedbug. The rooms are cheap for a reason…

Its cheap because this is where herion dealers stay cause the junkies pay weekly to live in the back so they never leave at least 3 deaths every summer you could be robbed or worst killed for you cash or car here cops aren't even save here and the owners Dont give a krap about your safety just your money.

When I explained my concerns for manager he refused to give me a refund so I told him I was going to leave a negative review and he pretty much told me to go to hell and do my work propositioned by a hooker installed and tried to sell me drugsAwfull. Stayed with my children while I was going in and out of the room I was aproached by a booker and somone tried to sell me drugs. My little clearly not changed or fresh so I had to have housekeeping bring new ones. After going through all of that in the first three hours I decided to go to motel 6 which is just across the freeway. When I explain my cancer store manager he refused to give me a refund so I told him I was going to leave a negative review and he pretty much told me to go to hell and do my worst. I love leaving good reviews for places and rarely leave negative ones I guess that I was told my review did not matter it encouraged me to go ahead and post my exp review.

I checked in after being on the road for 15 hrs and Rebecca was truly helpful. She found me a comfortable quiet room and offered me some coffee and doughnuts before I went to my room for a much need nap. Thank you and I will remember you on my next road trip.

Very quiet and relaxing. I had my doubts at first, but my stay for a good one. I would just recommend you bring an extra blanket and pillow if you need them.

Close to shopping and restaurants. Rates were great. Housekeeping made sure we were taken care of. Great place to stay.

We stayed here three days. Very nice lobby, very nice front entrance way. Staff is exceptional. It was clean and we were comfortable.

I have never been to a hotel that had accommodations that would allow their guests to bbq grills as well as a picnic area. Our stay here was comfortable and we will definitely stay again when we come into town.

Should have read into it more. Seems like its got a bunch of good reviews, but room smelled like cigs real bad. The guy next room was smoking in the door jam with it open. So I went back to the desk and asked if I could try another room. The woman was gracious enough to let me pick from 2 other rooms, but neither smelled much better and I just settled. The place is gross, and the amount of odd ball people walking around, even at 11:30 at night when I got in, is kinda weird. Definitely some stereotypical motel dealings going on I am sure. The bed and pillows are lumpy, glad I have my camping gear to sleep on top of the bed with, cause I frankly don't trust the cleanliness. The towels are scratchy as hell and the light above the mirror has that classic flickering fluorescent tube light that won't fully come on. The tube TV is huge, can't believe this antique is still around. But it does work and does seem to have cable, and I am writing this on there Wi-Fi connection. Still thinkin I should have looked for some free camping around.

My family and I stayed here over a weekend recently and for the price our stay was really nice. My kids enjoyed the outdoor pool and our stay overall was great. Housekeeping saw that we had what we needed and the young lady at the front desk was really nice and inviting.

Rooms were spacious and very nice, house keeping brought us extra towels at our request. Internet was fast as well as free. When I had to make a call, all I needed was a ten dollar phone deposit that I got back when I checked out because I only made local calls.

Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Many things included for such a low price, like cable, internet, microwave and a fridge in the room. They served coffee and donuts which were great for a quick breakfast.

The lobby was clean and well decorated. Front desk staff were friendly and quick at getting a room. When I entered my room, it was very clean and everything was in working order.

In the summer I brought my kids to Home Town for a whole weekend. Our room was spectacular, very clean, well decorated and comfortable The kids played in the pool and enjoyed our weekend getaway. Management was also on site and checked in to make sure we had the best stay possible.

Great location, close to restaurants and shopping. It was very budget friendly. The staff were attentive and saw fit to all our requests. The rooms were clean and had a microwave and a refrigerator upon our arrival. It's a great place to stay.

If you come to flint this is not the place u want to stay. Only good for catching a date, selling dope, or doing dope! Head of security smokes rocks. Maintenance is a thief and trick. The short time I was there I seen security smoke hard maintenece whipped his junk out and head of house keeping stealing customers property that she was supposed to b watching for them. A young lady got jumped by two girls while security maintenence and house keeping stood there frontrow and watched while the young lady screamed for help. They cuss at the customers and condone and assist the customer's commiting crimes! They are all n all a nightmare.

We stayed here and it sucked. Here's why! I've been sick and my fiance and I wanted a peaceful night but that didn't happen. We paid $100 for the jacuzzi room and the first room we got was horrible. There was chipped tile and staples all over the floor. My fiance cut his foot on the chipped tile. So they move us rooms; it looks good at first. We go to get in the jacuzzi and the bottom is cracked and it is stuck on max for the jets. The water strength bruised my side and the cracks almost broke one of my nails. They offered a discount they would not refund our money or give a free night.
