We came to go swimming knew the pool was open. Well apparently the day we go it is not open. When checking in we asked for a room by the pool. Yep she gave us a room by the pool but forgot to mention it is not open. Really what did she think we wanted a room by the pool for to stare at it. This is the only reason we came here. Then the fridge is not getting cold we tell the girl who is at the front desk she tells me to turn the temperature up I said we did not see one, she said unplug it plug in different outlet. I said she can send someone down to do it she stated she is only one working. Number one it is not safe for one person to be working over night, two you do not tell a guest to do something 3 you be honest when making reservations. You totally ruined my birthday celebration. Thank you.

Don’t waste your moneys we booked one of the suites they had and it was nasty. Everything was broken, including the air conditioning. Stains on the floors. Very dark because there are no outdoor windows in the suites. Not like the pictures online. They put us in another room that was not suite and tried to charge us more. When we finally got it situated, got to our new smaller room after we were unpacked we had the air on for only about 15 minutes and the wallpaper was peeling and there was black mold all behind it. We were going to be late for our event so we didn’t change rooms. I wanted to switch hotels. Do not recommend.

Nice place spacious although the bathroom is pretty tiny love the Keurig in the rooms.

The staff was nice. But someone took a poop at the pool and they had it shut down. When they opened it it smelled like poop and pee. It was so nasty. It felt so dirty. They didn’t even have towels by the pool. Elevator was broke down and hallways looked like they could use a vacuum over them. The room wasn’t to bad. The bed table looked like it has water damage. Just felt dirty in the hotel. The breakfast is what is keeping me from giving it a one star. Will not ever stay here again. Place has potential with the right management.

Very clean! Comfy beds, plenty personal hygiene supplies. Pool, hot tub, gym, in lobby bar and great breakfast buffet!

I love that after the front desk made a mistake and mischarged us for extending our stay, the answer was to not inform us, check us out while we were at the hospital with a loved one and when we inquired why our room key did not work tell is that we would need to book a room with them for an amount that was 4X more. We were told that even though we had already paid for that night it will be refunded but it wasn't their fault or their problem. Thanks for taking care of us, never again.

I booked a non-refundable room. When I called to cancel they asked for reasoning so I told them “I was going to a wedding with this guy I’m dating and he has another girlfriend so I don’t think I should be dating him anymore” they put me on hold. After a couple minutes I was told I would receive a full refund without penalty back to me. Thanks so much. Now when they both arrive home from their carnival cruise in 2 days and he realizes I know… I have no loose ends to contact him about.

The hotel common area are nice, the pool is good to relax, there is a small fitness but there is so many nice trail nearby that I didn’t use the fitness. The room by them self are nice but it lack of stronger light. No room has a window on the outside. There is a corridor that is in between the outside and the room for half of the room, and the rooms windows show the corridor only, the others rooms (half) have windows showing the common area inside the hotel (this is better if you have the choice). People are nice and professional, and the bar restaurant has really good food (try the BBQ chicken wings! ) and good beer, try the local Pick Axe Blond Ale…

The building is very nice and the rooms are great too. I do think there could be better lighting, but it's not a big deal. The people there are very friendly so I was very comfortable asking questions.

If I could have give this zero stars I would have. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone, we were asked to give our king bed for a double which was fine. But they ended up putting us down this creepy hallway that was halfway done/ broken down. (Definitely seemed like American horror story down there) Our room had zero lighting and our air conditioner was hardly working. We then called to see if we could switch rooms and they told us there were no other rooms available… on a Tuesday. The parking lot wasn’t even full.

In a conveiant area right next to the interstate. Hotel is nice looking from the outside with plenty of parking. The inside lobby, bar, restaurant and pool area are well kept and updated. The rooms are spacious but outdated. They definitely need to remodel them to match the rest of the hotel. Each room us equipped with a fridge and microwave. For the price and location I will definitely stay here again.

I Loved Everything About My Stay There. All of the staff was helpful and friendly. Clean and the breakfast in the morning was the best! So great I’ll be staying there next week also. Thank You So Much For Your Hospitality.

The hotel is dated, but the people are nice. It's clean and serviceable. Out of order elevator on my arrival didn't impress me, especially with no help to get my luggage to the 3rd floor. I'll stay here again, the price was spot on.

The location/distance was perfect for an early morning appointment. The rooms were nice, beds were comfy, bathroom was clean, great shower in the morning! The hallway walls were a little dated but it was still clean, morning breakfast had lots of choices, very nice! All in all, it was a great stay!

Front desk were nice. Room was nice. Free breakfast was good enough. They have a cocktail bar and small restaurant (we didn't try this), decent sized pool and hot tub. And a large atrium. I'd be content staying here again.

The room we stayed in had leaky toilet causing it to run almost continuous. My husband decided to just shut off the water before it drove us nuts. The front desk was unhelpful and did nothing. He took our number and issue and promised to have the manager call us which never happened. The hotel was dated with chipped paint here and there. The breakfast was adequate. The hotel is poorly laid out for anyone in a wheelchair or walker.

Where do I even begin. When I first arrived the hotel staff was friendly. I drove around the my rooms entrance and realized I was placed in the most run down portion of the hotel. Old curtains, yellowed walls, the tub is breaking away from the wall and mold is growing in the cracks. The walls had huge chips and holes and the nightstand legs were broken and tried to hide it in the corner. Just update this place! I didn’t even bother with the continental breakfast when I saw the stack of styrofoam plates we were to use with food particles covering them. So disgusting. I couldn’t check out fast enough. And all for $140 a night!

Service has been good, but the first room we were put in had mold in the fridge. The second room doesn't have cold air that works very well. Everything else has been acceptable.

Great Hotel. Staff and Management made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Great rates for a hotel in the Ann Arbor area, highly recommend.

Love this hotel. Whenever we go to Ann Arbor (which is a lot), we always make sure to stay here. Nice pool, not super big and deep, but still nice. Elevator is a bit sketchy but it works nicely.

Hotel very good for families!

While this hotel appears very nice outside and in the common areas, once you get in your room the real identity shows up. The lighting grids above the television were hanging out and ready to fall. There is mold in the shower. The ac/heating unit fan was so loud we could not sleep. Management said they didn’t have any rooms so they brought us a fan. The girl who brought the fan said people complain all the time…. The patch work on the ceiling looked like a six year old did it. Trash can still had trash in it. I can’t nor would I recommend this place … it may say Wyndham on the sign … don’t expect Wyndham quality. I am a Wyndham property owner and I am shocked and disappointed by this place.

It seems the value of customer service at this motel is down the drain. On 4/10/18 a Wed. Night @ 7:24 PM I started my attempt to get a room. After 8 calls, 6 that I was put "on hold" & miraculously disconnected from. It took 30 minutes to get to the conclusion that I was unable to get a room. Mean while I'm passing multiple hotels that would have been glad to have my attendance. After calling back the next day, during business hours. I'm told the manager won't be in until 2 PM. Calling back at THAT time, I'm informed that he/she isn't scheduled to be in until Fri. Afternoon… That's 2 days later? I'm thinking " Wow". I'm told there's no district or corporate manager to file a complaint and honestly that doesn't surprise me. It was most likely the manager that was working Wed. Night… So here I am expressing my concerns on here, like accountability it still a thing… Oh well.

Overall great amenities & stay. Was rather impressed with bar tenant/server Lanette! Gave Great service. Will be back.

1st time here… Gotta start with awesome staff. But was clean, convenient, & better then expected. Will recommend to other's & will be back.

Affordable rate for a one night stay. On the west side of town, directly off I-94. I didn't have any but they do offer free breakfast. It's an awkward decor, some parts updated, some not. Many of the rooms directly face the center courtyard/pool/dining area of the hotel but noise was minimal and died off by sleeping hours. Ample parking, unlimited internet works quickly, rooms are dated and small but clean enough.

This place is undergoing a remodeling. Some areas felt quite dated. the room was clean and the staff was helpful. The breakfast bar was odd and poorly lit. The location wasn't very good as it was very near one of the local highways. This location I found hard to get to and from as it was in an older area that had development surround it so the traffic pattern wasn't good. The room was clean and presentable. We only spent one night here as we were moving on to the Upper Peninsula of MI after this stay. College kids were staying here with their parents as they were heading to school here in Ann Arbor.

Very nice room. Everything smelled and felt clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Nice lighting in the room. Bathroom was decent (not too small) and it had a nice vanity/towel holder. Nice shower head. Hotel was quite considering it has pool/hot tub, bar. Security person at night was nice to see. They serve fruit infused water/cookies in lobby, nice touch. They have a large snack selection area that you can charge your card for (we didn’t) and breakfast my husband said was nice. (I wasn’t able to eat due to going to hospital that morning. ) it’s about 4 miles away from Michigan university hospital, and right off highway with a lot of food choices nearby.
Downfalls: they charge an extra $50 on card, and it gets returned within 5-7 business days if room wasn’t damaged. I prefer when hotels only charge it if needed vs prior since we were on a tight budget going down.
Another was some hotels are practically sound proof it seems. You could hear others in their room/hallway/doors etc. It wasn’t disruptive for us at all, and nothing woke us up. But some are very light sleepers.
Overall, we loved it. We will be returning if we need to go back down next month!

Room was pretty stale and gross smelling. Stink bugs, beer bottle caps in the room when we checked in. 3 night stay our room was never cleaned once. We were in and out for a hockey tournament and I explained this so the room could be cleaned while we were gone yet it was never cleaned. Just a sad place… Breakfast came with the room so that is the only reason I felt comfortable about leaving a single star. Don’t bother staying there.

The rooms were ok. Breakfast was better than most hotels. The staff here is a joke! The front desk clerk was flirting with two gentleman the night we checked in, thus resulting in a 15 minute wait. Once checked in she charged my card, not realizing I had already paid at the time I booked my room. I called 2 days later about the charge and they charged me AGAIN! I have now called 5 times and left messages for the Manager Dustin, who has not returned my calls. The clerk at the front desk has NO IDEA on how to find a corporate phone number. Yet she can tell me that Nathan is the ONLY PERSON who can refund me my money! Really?

This place was wonderful to us and our family. The hotel was family friendly and had wonderful staff. The pool temperature was perfect, and the hot tub was great. We didn't get time to check out the suana, but still had a wonderful time. This is the place to be if you want to relax and enjoy a nice family vacation!

Decent hotel. Loved that the pool was actually warm and hot tub was HOT. The rooms need a bit if an upgrade but they're not horrible. The food served St the bar was top notch. Many selections and specials to choose from. Doesn't open till 4 pm so be mindful of that. Will deliver food to your room too. I used that service and than just tipped. Front desk said they would sign me up for rewards program but never did. Even after I checked on it 3 separate times. Decent customer service. They have cookies, flavored water and free newspapers as you walk in the door.

Well done for a relatively inexpensive hotel. Rooms can be a bit small, but have a nice big bathroom, and all usual amenities. Pretty ok breakfast. Pool was nice, though shallow (only 4'), but that might please some. Quiet, near shopping and restaurants.

The service and front desk are three only reason the hotel got even 3 stars. The rooms were in a maze and very hard to find. There was only one elevator and one set of single bathrooms visible and accessible. The sheets on one bed had what appeared to be burn marks. It was … Not a place I would recommend until updates were done.

My room was musty and stale. It's missing a few $10 light fixtures that would really make it look like less of a flop house. My tub looks like vagrants have been sleeping in it, completely filthy. There is no air conditioning. So, after sweating for 2 nights, we finally dragged a fan over to our room. Put it in the doorway, pulling cold air from the common area. Pretty awesome to have your door open all night! I especially loved waking up to the housekeeping yelling at each other in Spanish outside my open door. Both doors you had to throw your shoulder into to get them to close. There were people smoking inside all the time, I guess nobody cares about that in Ann Arbor. The hot tub was out of order, the sauna was out of order. The pool was locked during supposed open operation hours. There was no soap or toilet paper in bathroom near bar, that was a fun walk back to my room! We had no cable, I was told it would be turned back on and it never was. My room was never straightened by house keeping, I went to front desk and got my own towels and soap. My toilet wouldn't flush every once in a while and would run all day and night. I'm sure there is other issues, I'm just to mad to think of them at the moment. If I was only paying $80 a night I wouldn't mind so much, but I paid $690 for 3 nights. Completely unacceptable. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel ever. I will be getting my money back and never bring my business to any Wyndham again.

I stayed here on a business trip for 5 days. I will say I would have likely granted this hotel 1 or 2 stars if it wasn't for Lynette (bartender) and Jason (maintenance/janitorial). These two single handedly were the only reason I didn't check out and hit up the Hampton Inn right next door. Very outdated building, though currently undergoing renovations. My room had an incredible amount of water damage visible on the walls and ceiling. I did get locked out of my room several times due to keys failing or losing activation. I struggled everyday to order hot breakfast in the mornings, come to find out the concierge in charge of such wasn't handling that situation (I believe her name was Maria). Checking in and out was a pretty painful process but I credit most of that to the booking being done third party. I dined here every evening and the food was pretty good. I did enjoy the social aspect at the bar. If you are on a budget and need a place for a couple nights I'd say go for it but I can't advocate a lengthy stay.

Second stay at this hotel. Nice public spaces — if you’re traveling with friends this is the place to be. They have many cozy group areas with sofas and tables. The pool and hot tub are lovely. Rooms are clean and comfortable. On one our nights there we had problems with kids running past our room yelling pretty late into the evening. Apparently their parents were at the bar. I think next time I will ask for a room away from that location.

This hotel was great. There was a nice pool in the middle of the hotel. The service was great. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was really tasty and they had healthy options.

The rooms were reasonably priced for a close enough location to downtown Ann Arbor. The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Very unique common area inside. Great for large groups. Though the rooms were dated inside, they were clean. Also close to many dinner options. Staff was very polite and accommodating.

The classroom/ball room with tables was nice, if in need of a slight makeover. However, the roof seems to leak in multiple places when it rains. The staff was friendly and helpful and the restrooms clean.

Long review but definitely read it all. DO NOT TRUST THE HOUSEKEEPING STAFF! My fiance, my son and I saved here over the weekend. It wasn't the best hotel experience. It was an especially hot weekend and the A. C. In our room didn't work the greatest so sleeping was very uncomfortable. The room itself seemed newly remodeled but still not I'm the greatest condition. When my fiance took a shower we adjusted the shower head and it came off right in his hand. The ice machine on our floor didn't work. The halls look very dirty and the elevator was horrible. But the main reason behind this review is the TERRIBLE service after checking out. I live 5 hours away, and once we were home I had realized we had forgotten a bag in the room that had 3 pairs of my three year old sons shoes, and 2 pairs of my own shoes. We've called every day for 4 days now asking about the bag, each time we are told we'll get a call back and we never receive a call. The girl we've talked to at front desk is extremely rude. Housekeeping will tell me they'll call me back, and the girl at the front desk will tell me that housekeeping says there was no bag in the room. It's disappointing. I know for a fact the bag was forgotten. They're all covering for each other and giving us the run around. I was told a manager would call me back, that was 10 hours ago. I'm not holding my breath. Liars and thieves.

Great location. No king rooms were available so they bumped me up to a suite. It was amazing. Two showers, a full bedroom and living room, and a jacuzzi. And right outside of my room was the pool and hot tub. Their pillows were perfect. 5/5 would recommend.

If I could give a 0 out of 5, I would. We stayed at the Wyndham Garden on the second weekend in Sept 2017. When I checked into my room on Friday I immediately noticed the bathroom exhaust fan was making a very loud screeching noise so I contacted the front desk. They sent a maintenance man up and he replaced the fan with another old used one he had laying around in his shop. He said it may not be any better but I was to let him know. The second one made the worst screeching sound you could imagine. The light and the fan were on the same switch so you couldn't turn on the light without the fan screeching. I immediately notified the front desk person who told me that the maintenance man was gone and would not be back until Saturday morning. I was there for the weekend with my wife and son. I asked for another room but I was told they were totally booked up. That night we had to use the bathroom utilizing our iphones light for illumination because turning the light on would run the screeching fan. I asked three times that weekend to speak to the manager and I was told that he would call me when he got in. The manager never called me even though I was told by the front desk person that he was in several hours on Saturday and Sunday. Nathan Wells was name of the manager I was given. They also said Dustin was another manager there who could help with this issue. I general the hotel is old and very beat up looking.

The building has been poorly remodeled. Their ceilings leak when it rains; not just in one place, but several up and down the hallway (at least). They keep telling customers it's because they have people working on their roof right now, but due to the damage you can see, it's evident the issue has been happening for longer than that making it unlikely to be the cause. Drywall is cracked, paint is bubbling and peeling away; it really just looks like they tried covering up all of their problems with another layer of paint. They have full glass windows that separate your room from the hallway, and the light that seeps in around the door is enough to keep you up at night. The air conditioning units are super loud and you only really get used to the rhythm after 2-3 unfortunate nights. All in all, my stay was pretty sucky… But oh, they offer free cookies and refreshments at the front desk to try and help you forget about it all. That was nice.

This place is garbage. They have no customer service — its nonexistent. We had to call several times just to try to get through to someone. We stayed here once and the place was way overpriced for the quality. Rooms are poorly kept, poorly appointed, and outdated. Against better judgment, we decided to give them another chance and made another reservation. We ended up having to cancel this reservation 4 weeks before the arrival date — Yet they still charged our credit card even though we canceled! Attempted to call the hotel management to complain but shocker — still unable to reach anyone at the hotel. Front desk would ring and after about 30 rings someone would pick up and immediately just put me on hold. This kept on for over an hour. If visiting AA, you're better off staying literally ANYWHERE but here!

This hotel was functional. The room was tight and the bathroom very small. The toilet was a weak flusher. It could barley get rid of fluid waste. Everything was very clean and the service was fine. We stayed in the front part of the hotel which appears to be a refurbished motel. The lobby, pool, and rear tower seem to have been added on. The fan in the bathroom goes on with the the light and is very noisy so if you have a roommate keep that in mind. Free breakfast was adequate; basic continental plus waffle maker.

They are doing renovations, slowly. The room I was in was very nice and relaxing. The bed felt brand new and very comfortable. This is a very nice hotel.

The hotel rooms seem to have been recently updated and are quite nice. Front desk was very nice and the amenities are very good for the price. I like places that have a cafe or a restaurant especially when getting in later and their food was good for hotel food.

Place was great. Check-in was easy and the stay was nice. No promlems here.

Worst hotel ever! We had a reservation for a suite and when we got there the room was not the one we booked nor what we expected out of a hotel. Yet the manager kept trying to tell us it was; had to even show her pictures and have an employee come up to the room to see it. He agreed that the was not the room. The rooms look more like motel rooms and the conditions are not the best. They photoshop their website pictures too much. And it's a shame that the manager tried to fight us instead of giving us at least some decent customer service. I definitely DO NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Horrible conditions and horrible management.

Location right off the freeway. Room was a little small but to be expected with a king bed and large dresser. Service was good. Everyone was nice and happy. If I find myself in Ann Arbor again I'll definitely be back.

The beds are OK but the appearance isn't great and this d*@$ ice machine has been beeping for hours and I'm hoping it will stop so I can finally get some sleep. Also the creepy leprechaun man that's their mascot makes me unsettled and I'm nearly positive I've been cursed. Breakfast is not included but is on the ground floor in some weird restaurant.

Everything was very nice, clean, and very well remodeled. My only issue was the temperature of the water in the shower. It took about 10 minutes for the water to heat up. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Our room had a leaky ceiling in the bathroom that dripped on us. The water pressure in the shower was pretty bad too. Nice looking lobby. Bummed the breakfast wasn't free because it was the basic stuff that should be complimentary. I'd stay again though because the bed was comfy and the AC gets cold son.

Pretty average, although I've stayed in much better for 100/night. The rooms are clean and up to date — however, the fitness center wasn't much of a fitness center & was very dirty. Free coffee and water bottles in room was a plus. Decent bar w/ average food.

Rooms are gross. Front desk service was rude. Kids screaming in the pool am the time echos through all of the interior. Would never stay here again.

Very nice hotel. Pool was a comfortable 80degrees. Whirlpool was nice, staff was friendly close to the highway but if you have an interior room you cant hear it. Staff let me check out at 1pm instead of the original 11am. Girlfriend actually stayed an extra night because of the excellent service.

Strange look and feel to the hotel. Outside look indoors. Not sure if I'd stay overnight, but definitely good hosts for professional events.

Perfectly alright. Nothing high end but very comfortable. Rooms are up to date, lounge and bar are actually pretty good with tasty food. Breakfast is about the same as anywhere else but the best part is that this place is almost 30 bucks cheaper than surrounding hotels. I would stay again and recommend to anyone that isn't overly pretentious.

First, I'll say that the room itself was suitable and comfortable. If you somehow teleport yourself from your car straight to the room, you should be good. The lobby area is very weird. It looks like an ad out of a 1991 vacation catalog with the sea blue walls and church table dining set up. The smell of Chlorine is heavy, since the pool is on the lobby level and not closed off. I hope they update that soon. The parking area around the back/side entrance is dark and unlit at night. Seems unsafe. The doorway entry seemed a little unkempt — dingy carpet and unswept leaves. The construction also makes it unwelcoming. Right now, there is some sort of convention and a lot of teenagers are yelling and screaming & cheering in the lobby at 9:00 PM. Earlier the same cohort of teens were literally yelling and screaming in the hallway, blocking my room door. The hotel setup is such that some rooms (mine) overlook the main atrium/lobby, so if it's loud, well it's essentially right outside of your window, since there are only 4 floors. I called the front desk both regarding the noise and the attendant seemed sympathetic both times. But why a hotel, with its setup, would allow that kind of noise is beyond me. If you're looking for a place with little potential for disturbance, this is not the place. But like I said, if you can manage to get to your room, you should be good.

A great hotel and awesome staff. The price is perfect. I lived here on extended stays and it was fantastic. It felt like home. You can easily pay $ 200 a night for quite a bit less at other hotels. They have a pool, hot tub, gym and new rooms. Did I mention the great staff? I travel all of the time and I usually pay $ 200 a night for this quality of hotel. I have stayed here over 200 days in the last year, so I think I got this one.

I don't know why this place has so many bad reviews. I travel for work and am pretty picky with my hotels. This is a good one, I've stayed maybe five times so far. Nice, modern, clean rooms. Comfy beds. Awesome free hot breakfast buffet. The pool and gym are awesome. Great upscale feel, and one of the best prices in the area.

Was only there for a wedding reception, but was not impressed. Not enough parking, dark dated hallways bathroom smelled bad. Would not stay there if I had to.

Oh wow, they forgot to tell me there was construction right next door.

We booked a room online with an exterior access. When we checked in the clerk said our room had an interior access. No problem I thought. He directed us to our room and it was basically to walk through the hotel and out the back to an exterior access room LOL. Not a big deal but I had of course left the car out front. You would think someone doing their job correctly would let you know to drive your vehicle around to the room. Then we got to the room and the television did not work correctly. There was a channel guide and most of the channels did not work at all and the ones that did work were a different number than listed in the guide. When we went out the next day I informed the front desk of this problem and he said he would have someone take a look at it. When we returned that evening the television was on the same channel and the problem had not been fixed. Usually not a big deal to me but there was a game I wanted to watch on a major network and was not able to. Then the key cards stopped working and needed to be reprogrammed. The clerk said this was extremely common the last few weeks. I find it aggravating when a known problem exists but no one fixes it. These things along with the hair we found in the bedding and the spiders and bugs crawling around the room lead me to believe I would not stay here again nor recommend it to my friends.

Poor service, charged a smoking fee and didn't even smoke just all around poor.
