My boyfriend and I came here for a weekend get away and we got a room with a jacuzzi tub! Very satisfied! They put candles and chocolate and made a swan out of towels! Very clean and friendly staff! The rooms could use a little updating other than that it was perfect! Very relaxing!

We stayed Friday night — someone had a party in the lobby which was directly outside of our room and it lasted until early morning Saturday. They were very loud and kept waking my husband and I up. I informed the desk of this at checkout and she assured me that her manager would contact me to handle this and no one has. Poor service and a very hard bed!

It was close to jobsite, friendly people, indoor outdoor pool.

The lodge was clean and service was good but worst night sleep ever. The bed was VERY uncomfortable and so was the couch. They really need to get new mattresses.

Rented a conference room for my grandson's first birthday. Staff was outstanding as well as the room.

My visit to adrian college was great and they recommended me to the Carlton Lodge for my stay and never felt so homey and comfortable.

The Carlton Lodge was an adequate hotel. It was clean, and suited my need for a place to sleep for 1 night. The prices are decent for the King room I reserved, with my total coming to about $98 after taxes. The woman at the front desk was incredibly rude upon my arrival. I tried to let it go, but as it continued, I changed my tone to match hers, and she cooled off pretty quickly. The rest of the staff was quite friendly.

Very pleased with the hotel. Maybe dated, but not something I really worry about. Room was clean and quiet. Mattress was comfy and AC was great. Only complaint was tub was awkward to stand in to shower as the bottom was very curved. But would still recommend and return.

Sure needs a huge remodel completed, especially with 2 new hotels coming into the area. We love the idea of the lodge feeling. Hope they see the urgency and value of making this place great again as it was when it was built. It's nicely set away from the business of the town, but ewwww it feels dirty and broken down.

Rooms are neat and tidy. Great staff that is helpful and welcoming. Rooms are ok. Breakfast options are limited but work in a pinch.

Not bad! It was clean. We didn’t take advantage of the pool but it was a nice feature. The restaurant wasn’t open because they recently changed ownership so they are waiting on their liquor license. Our room had a jacuzzi in the room itself. It was pretty cool. The windows can open to get fresh air but don’t have screens. Not a big deal for us but something to note. I noticed that they had cornhole in the courtyard area too! Nice touches.

The room was very nice! Very clean. The staff was friendly and they went out of their way to accommodate us using the pool since my nieces arrived late. I loved my stay and will definitely be staying again!

This is my hotel of choice when I visit Adrian Michigan. Not overally expensive and well worth the standard room rate especially with free breakfast. We really like the 2 personal jacuzzi room. We look forward to staying here again the next time we visit. Highly recommend.

Always clean and very affordable. It is a great place to host any sort of party/gathering. They have a pool. Staff always there to help you. It could be updated a little. It doesn't look run down by any means, it just doesn't have a very modern feel. Overall, not bad at all for the price!

Great service! I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights as this was my first visit to Adrian with a friend. From the moment we checked in we were greeted and felt very welcomed. The staff were friendly and got us situated as quickly as possible. The room was cozy and very neat and clean, and breakfast the next morning was delicious. I enjoyed my stay.

Location is ideal for Adrien college parents and guests. The hotel is similar to a comfort inn and at the same quality level. There is an indoor/outdoor pool and a large breakfast bar area. The rooms are standard hotel size rooms. Staff is friendly/helpful.

After traveling to Adrian due to the death of my father, I paid for my room as well as for a room for my daughter who would arrive later that night/early morning. The staff was courteous, gave me receipts for both rooms, promised that although she would not be there when my daughter arrived that the key to their room would be ready with their name on it taped to the front desk, along with having a pack and play crib set ready for their infant. What a great place… Then the story begins. At 3:30 AM my daughter calls informing me that the “man at the front desk is out. He is sleeping so soundly that her raised voice and banging on the counter doesn’t awaken him. ” So I told her to call the hotel number to wake him up. She did, only to discover that the sleeping gentleman, did not have “any record of them staying” and wanted to charge them for a room. I called the front desk, explained the situation, and was told “calm down sir, I know nothing about this” by the guy who was just enjoying his sleep two minutes ago instead of doing his job and taking care of customers. Being an activity duty military serviceman with over 16 years of service, grieving the loss of my father, being awoken at 3:30 AM to explain that I had paid nearly $200 for two rooms that I was told I hadn’t, by someone sleeping on the job and now clearly upset by being awake, did not settle well with me. He eventually “found” the information and then called me back closer to 4 AM to let me know.

Everyone was nice, service was helpful, jacuzzi takes forever to fill, but I had a great time.

Beautiful Lodge the rooms are very clean. Everything is well maintained and they are bed bug free.

Showing some wear, but nice enough. Better choice might be the super 8 or holiday inn express.

I stayed there two days ago a very clean hotel, polite staff and, a wonderful management.

Stayed for the weekend for a little getaway with the hubby. The room was nice and clean, our Jacuzzi was spotless. Only complaints are a massively loud heater unit and the thinnest toilet paper known to man.

King Jacuzzi suite, clean for the most part, the bathroom however wasn't, the toilet had ashes, and urin on it, also a suggestion. Maybe wipe the bathroom door down, especially by the handle. Other than that it was a good stay.

Sadly I write with some angst. We were warmly greeted, went to our room but after putting our (entry) card in the slot, the door wouldn’t open. We’ve traveled our country but have never encountered a door that you need to lift the handle up in order to enter. Please do remember this oddity in case of a fire! As darkness was upon us, I went to the large window to pull the drapes. What passed for drapes i. E. (privacy from the parking lot) were sheer drapes framed by denser drapes that didn’t close, therefor, if you prefer to rise early, this is the place for you. Also, if it’s cold either turn up the heat that leaves you dry skinned and dry mouthed or bring warm clothing as there isn’t an extra blanket to be found. This is my first take on Carleton Lodge, my second take is forthcoming — aka — tomorrow. Oh my! I went for a swim in the pool which seemed just fine. The water was tepid but that was to be expected, and after a 25 min. Aerobic workout, I was just fine. Trouble the next day as I awoke with severe pain when I urinated. Not sure if it was bacteria in the pool, but I had a UTI. I noticed water didn't seem to be flowing into the pool. Do they clean the pool in November? Just say'ng, be careful.

The rooms were ok. When we arrived there was food & a half filled bottle of soda under the bed. There was also a blood stain on the blanket and when I told housekeeping, they were rude about it. The pool was dirty, but that is probably because it is half inside/half outside. The breakfast was great.

If you want to plan a family gathering or party, this is the place to go! They are so friendly and gracious. I used their meeting room to host a 50th anniversary party and it was wonderful! I was able to use their coolers and kitchen area to prep food and do some dishes. Thank you so much for your assistance.

Great place to stay! Clean rooms, nice pool area. Friendly staff. Fast internet. Stayed here about a month for work. Definitely will return if I'm in the area.

Loved our stay the only thing I didn't care for was the pool… burned my eyes just sitting there watching the kiddos swim… everything else was amazing tho!

This hotel is wonderful. Staff is so friendly and willing to help with anything you need! Very accommodating! I have zero complaints. The pool is so nice. The rooms are very reasonably priced, they even have a little snack shop with drinks, candy, and other snacks and everything! The beds are comfortable, rooms are clean! I would give this place a 10 out of 5 stars!

It's really the only decent hotel in Adrian. Pet friendly, friendly staff, Jacuzzi rooms and suites, reasonable prices.

Lovely place to stay but a little hard to see/find for the road at night.

This place is a bit outdated, which is okay — as long as its clean, which it wasn't. My room had two double beds, one of them looked to me like the bed had been made but the sheets hadn't been changed from the last guest. The tile floor was dirty and there was hair on the floor in the bathroom. Would recommend looking down the street — there's a newer hotel there, or just driving from the Ann Arbor area if you're able.

Rooms and interior of the room were nice and beds were comfortable. Landscaping seems to have been neglected for several years, giving the outside a poor appearance. Breakfast selection was poor. Apparently the hotel is a wormhole to the South, there were biscuits and gravy, and only white bread and plain bagels with old donuts. I ended up eating just a carton of yogurt.

The room was nice, the beds were comfy, and the cleaning staff has good attention to detail. My only comlaint was the placement of the fridge in the room. It was blocking the A/C unit and caused it to suck in the hot air and dispurse it through the room. After switching the table and mini fridge around, the cirulation of cool air was much better.

I was looking for a nice quiet getaway in Adrian and found it. Nice sized rooms with a large bed. The guests were quiet, and the hotel is easy to find. Wait staff was friendly, and the breakfast was good. I'll definitely stay here again if I ever find myself out this way.

This place is supposed to be the nicest place in Adrian. But I am telling you it is not. The hot tub we received was nothing but a large bath tub. The jets were the equivalent of someone blowing a straw into the water. We were woken up by a maintenance man walking into our room which was very inconvenient at 8am. About 20 minutes after that it sounded like a war was going on in the next room. They decided that today would be a good day to do construction on a room with guests in the room directly next door. So our room was shaking like crazy from the construction and while that was going on the room cleaning decided that they would walk into our room as we were getting dressed. Management decided that they would comp us $20 to make up for ruining our morning instead of inviting us to stay another night. I don't know how communication is that bad. But if you like staying in a hotel that is severely outdated and under maintained with construction materials sitting in front of the drive then this is the place for you.

I had guest coming from Romania spending Saturday night and I recommended the Carlton as the best hotel in Adrian. After speaking to them on Sunday at church, saying I was disappointed is an understatement. They booked through one of the hotel booking sites and fortunately she had a copy of her confirmation number because her reservation was no where to be found on the hotel computer. There was all sorts of trash outside, due to remodeling, the entrances from the parking lot were not locked so anyone could have walked in and the ATM machine was broken. The restaurant was also already closed for the night. I was so very embarrassed and will never recommend your hotel again!
