The BEST motel we have EVER stayed in. The staff was AMAZING! My car battery died and they not only gave us cables but jumped it for me, and the entire stay they were sweet and funny! I would stay here Everytime I get a motel room!

Bed was crooked… could not sleep… told the desk clerk. She wanted to talk with the Mgr. No… I'm in a hurry.
3 hours of sleep.

I expected as always "Only the Best". Simply "the best". I'm never disappointed when I stay with the Drury Family.

We stayed due to a power outage and the need for AC and running water. Drury was full due to
The local outages, but the staff was incredibly kind and did their best to serve everyone in a timely manner. The rooms Were extremely clean, along with the common areas of the hotel. The complimentary dinner/breakfast/drinks were very much appreciated especially with having small children in tow. Will definitely recommend to others.

We love staying at any Drury Inn Suites. They are clean, comfortable, the food is great and the staff is friendly and helpful!

We didn’t have a reservation but I could easily book one online while standing there. It seemed like I was inconveniencing her. She was very rude while checking us in and continued throughout the evening. If you stay make sure your kids have pool shoes because they can’t don’t walk to or from pool without. They can’t even stand in lobby with swimsuits (wet or dry) on while I try and ask the front desk a question. Otherwise the rooms and other amenities were very nice. Too bad one staff member can ruin your stay.

Left some personal items in my hotel room, and when I called back, they were nowhere to be found. My fault for leaving it, but can’t trust the cleaning staff to do the right thing and turn in lost items. Have to replace expensive stolen items now.

Stayed there for business and always had a great stay. Staff were great always friendly and helpful. Only 2 complaints were when had sports team there but staff was quick to deal with it and wish there was more of a variety with the 5-7:30 food& drink menu but what they do serve is great. Overall I would definitely stay there again one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at! Keep up the great work!

We have stayed at Drury Inn several times and have always loved it … except this time. There were several of those traveling kids sports teams at the hotel with their families. We couldn’t use the elevators, couldn’t go to the happy hour time, couldn’t use the pool, and it was very loud in the hotel. We told the front desk our concerns but felt ignored and dismissed. Probably will not stay here again unfortunately.

Staff was wonderful. Complimentary supper and breakfast plus drinks was amazing. Pool and hot tub after a long day was great. Room was very comfortable.

As my family and I have become accustomed to, our stay at the Drury inn was amazing. The staff were courteous and genuine. The grounds were beautiful and the room was perfect. 5:30 kick back was amazing and breakfast equally so. It really doesn't get any better than this!

Would give an A+ rating. Very nice and clean rooms. Food and adult complimentary drinks were great. Super friendly staff. Shopping centers, hair and nail salons, clothing boutique, and Target within walking distance. Wine and beer shops and restaurants in same location. Loved the location! Lastly the Hurts Dougnut shop is a must stop in and try. Best doughnuts on this planet.

It’s a beautiful hotel & staff is friendly. But my over all 2 star rating was from the uncleanliness of our 2 bedroom suite, it was dirty! We found a bottle cap in the middle of the barthroom, crumbs on the floor between the bedroom and living room, a Target sack under the bench in the bedroom, hand prints all over the window and a large fresh stain on the carpet in the living room that we think was the cause of a funky smell. Atnight there is an extremely bright spotlight that pointed directly into our room and even with the back out curtains the room was still light enough to make it hard to seep. We also found the pool is super small only big enough for a family with a couple kids anything more and it’s crowded.

Visited the hotel a couple of weeks ago for meetings. The meeting room looked to be very well prepared for the meeting and was very comfortable. The lobby area of the hotel looked very welcoming. Appeared to be plenty of parking around the hotel! I have stayed in another Drury in the past the room was great and I would have no reason not to think that the rooms at this location are just that good also!

Rooms are spacious and clean, great amenities, and free cocktail happy hour as well as warm breakfast options. Great location right off interstate with walkability to many restaurants, bars and stores including Super Target.

Perfect stay! Nice rooms. Great breakfast, great managers evening special (free adult beverages and hearty buffet). Friendly staff. Great location with close surrounding shopping, dining and bars. Target store within walking distance. Hurts donuts is a must try. Plato's closet has lots of cheap clorhing, shoes and accessories for women and men. Highly recommended.

Excellent customer service. When checking into room discovered that we did not have any hot water. They sent maintenance right away to try and fix it. When they were unable to fix they gave us a second room on them. Rooms were nice and spacious.

Newly remodeled hotel. Nice amenities included with stay: food and drinks each evening, hot breakfast, popcorn and pop. Nice staff. Located from walking distance to Target and little area stores.

Great stay at a GREAT location! Newly remodeled rooms made for a up-scale feel within budget. Happy hour food and drinks were a nice perk. Can wall to the near by piano bar for a night out.

Des Moines stay was fantastic. Super clean remodeled floor 7 was perfect! Staff was clean, helpful, and polite. Thanks Drury… we will be back for our next stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a beautiful hotel with very welcoming staff. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. My husband was thrilled with the recliner for his sore back from a long drive. It would be really nice to keep a few rooms with recliners for Seniors. Seniors love recliners and you could use that to market that to them. Breakfast was nice. We will stay with Drury again.

For the price the stay was at very good value. I enjoyed the pool and got to the complimentary drinks and food which started at 530. There was an good variety of munchies and drinks to pick from. The continental breakfast had arrived few more choices than an average hotel. Overall an excellent stay and really the only negative feedback I can think of is that the TV remote is all little laggy and has an weak signal from the bed. A very small price to pay for the overall experience.

The room was decent. Good continental breakfast. They also offered free dinner as well. They have an indoor/outdoor pool, but it is kind of small.

This place does not disappoint at all! Rooms were nice, clean, and decently modern. The amenities are insane. Kick back with tons of free food (2 soups, nacho bar, chicken strips, baked potato bar, salad bar, pasta penne, fountain soda) and free drinks (mixed, beer, and wine) from 5:30 to 7 each night. Great breakfast that includes all the stuff you hope for (eggs, sausage, biscuit gravy, breakfast potatoes, cereal, fruit, yogurt, muffins, toast breads) and a very large dining area. The staff were fantastic and are obviously there to please. Beds, pillows, and bedding were great. The price is such a bargain… I have paid way more for lousy hotels. I was impressed all around with everything from the pool, to the great location, shops, entertainment, and especially their genuine smiles when greeting guests! Worth every dollar! Will surely be back and recommend to anyone looking for quality. Great for couples, business, families, or anyone looking for a getaway!

Drury Inn never disappoints. WDM has the BEST hot tub EVER! Nice accommodations and friendly, helpful staff. Totally worth it find the DI when traveling to unfamiliar places.

This place was absolutely awful. We planned on staying here for my sisters birthday. We were in our room talking amongst ourselves and was told that we were being 'too loud' in our room. She was very rude and then told us that she was calling the cops. We had to leave at 2:00 in the morning, literally while we were sleeping. And drove 2 hours home. We were not being loud what so ever, talking in the room that we paid for. The people were awful and ruined my sister's birthday. We will NOT be going back.

I was visiting my parents that were staying there. They had free snacks to guests at 5:30 which was nice. My parents said they would stay again.

We explicitly seek out a Drury Hotel everytime we go out of state. We've had such good experiences with them and their West Des Moines location is of no exception. There's a lot within walking distance of this location… there's a Super Target, Hurts Donuts (open 25/8), beer gardens and bars, an arcade, and a few smaller shopping places. If you care to drive 1½ miles down the street, you'll hit Jordan Creek Town Center… what's said to be the biggest mall in Iowa. Hotel and room were clean. The woman that checked us in was very helpful (giving us maps of the location for things to do and restaurants). They have a workout room and a small indoor/outdoor pool. They offer free meals through the day to their guests (3 free alcoholic drinks included with dinner). All-in-all, weve had another great experience and we'll continue to seek out these hotels for our future trips.

Very nice hotel with great accommodating staff. They also have a decent breakfast and a good happy hour from 5.30 to 7pm. The hotel ia about a 10 to 15 minute drive from downtown but is in a very nice and well served area for restaurants and shopping in either walking distance or a very short drive.

The Room we stayed in was very clean. The pool was nice I always love going in and outside from the pool. All the food was VERY good. The shop they had was a cute idea but was kind of expensive but that is to be expected. The hotel was right by Hurts Doughnuts which is very convenient. So my stay was pretty good!

It gives you free breakfast and dinner. It has an excellent indoor and outdoor pool. You get two full sized in the room. If you tell the hotel that you brought a pet to the hotel, they will allow it. I think Drury Inn & Suites is an amazing place to stop!

Loved everything about our stay — our room was clean and huge! My boys loved the indoor/outdoor swim under pool and we loved the hot tub! We ate at the dinner reception one evening — and the bartender kindly got milk for my kids even though she didn't have to. They went above and beyond during our checkout. One of our kids got a stomach bug and we decided we needed to leave — so we checked out at 5pm fully expecting to pay for that night since we had stayed pretty much the whole day — but the attendant didn't charge us for that night without us even asking! We will definitely be staying here again!

This was by far the best hotel I've ever stayed at for the price! What a value with breakfast AND dinner included plus the room was clean and very well appointed. It had a wonderful shower and the most comfortable bed and pillows! This was my first Drury hotel stay and it has made me a customer for life!

Though the elevators were out of order for the weekend, Drury Inn did their absolute best to acommodate us. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and despite being next to several night clubs, it was very quiet in the room. I definitely enjoyed my stay, and would recommend Drury Inn to others visiting Des Moines.

The hotel was clean and beutiful. The staff was attentive. I was there for a buisness meeting and it was very nice to have a breakfast provided so we didnt have to leave to go get something before the meeting began.

Nice hotel and a very good breakfast. Only complaint is time of elevators. There are only 2 and being on the top floor can add time.

The location is a little clunky. The area around it is nice, plenty of options for dining and getting out. The room and service was great. Nice fluffy bed, real feather pillows, the shower didn't have a lot of pressure but the oversized shower head made up for it. My room was the basic with 1 King bed. The room had a recliner in it as well. The hotel staff was very nice and friendly. The breakfast buffet in the morning was scrambled egg, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, waffles, cereal, toast, coffee and juice. The hotel does have an indoor pool and fitness room. They even have a small shop in case you have forgotten something.

Everything was great! Very clean, roomy, etc. One thing — they didn't make up the pull out bed like we asked, we needed to do the sheets ourselves.

I made a reservation here because the Drury that I stayed at in St. Louis was so nice. This one is not. I travel with my pets and the first room I walked into smelled, had stains on the floor that my dog would not stop smelling and the rest of the room seemed dirty as well. They also furnished this place with someone's great grandpa's dirty recliners that he refuses to give up and belong in a dumpster. $177 for this!? I think not. (If you're traveling and need to stop they'll charge you an arm and a leg for a crappy room) I got a different room and that one was no better plus I couldn't stop coughing in there for some reason, something kept tickling my throat. Needless to say, I did not stay there over night. I told the kid at the desk to refund my room and went over to Staybridge suits where I normally stay if I need to when passing through here. Save yourself the disgust of the Des Moines Drury inn and don't stay there.

Rooms were clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Happy hour is from 530 to 700 and never disappoints. My only complaint would be that I wish the pool was a little warmer.

Room is great. Tasty breakfast. Good parking. Convenient from I80 and I35. Not very walkable, but lots of restaurants nearby.

Occasional Guest We visit DesMoines annually for the Nutcracker. We stay at Drury and are always impressed with the kind staff and cleanliness of the rooms. We appreciate it's proximity to things we need, but not so close to busy areas as to be loud and obnoxious.

Room was very clean — rooms were quiet. However, if you are looking at this hotel for a weekend get-away with the kids in the WINTER — as we were — might not be your best choice. The pool is half inside and half outside — yes in the WINTER — the pool was a freezing 70 some degrees and I can't believe they are wasting all this money trying to heat the pool in IOWA WINTER. Such a waste of money and energy. They'd be better off either enclosing the whole thing or have one pool outside to close down in September and another inside for winter. Really disappointed in not being able to swim and relax. Breakfast was good, I would have liked to have had another option choice for the evening meal other than hot dogs.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The people at the front desk told me that they just needed my card for incidentals and then charged my card for my room which made me hit my daily limit and stuck at the Funny Bine with a tab that had to paid before I could leave. They offered no relevant solution to this problem. Incompetent people. I've gotten better service from a Motel 6 and have stayed in 5 star hotels and never had my card charged or a hold put on it until I checked out. To top it all off the day I checked in they were told which card to charge which was a business partner's card and yet they still used my card.

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. And the staff couldn't have been nicer. My only regret is that they don't have these hotels out West where I live.

Hotel is located near many places to eat, and down the road to a shopping district, so something to do. Rooms are nice. I travel a lot for work. I have stayed here in the pass with no issues, and other Drury Inns around the country. It is worrisome that hotel staff will call the police just because a guest does not fit what they find acceptable in appearance. Racial profiling,, Shame.

Management may as well close the hotel at this point. Staffed completely by bigots. As if being in des moines wasn't already a hell in and of itself.

Whenever my husband and I are in the area, we make sure to stay in the Drury Inn located in West Des Moines! We love the entire chain of Drury Inn and Suites hotels, but this is a particular favorite of ours. It is always clean and the people are always friendly.

We stayed there with kids (age 11 and 13). Staff was great and room was ideal and rate was reasonable. We stayed in the two room suite. The pool was set-up very nice in an Outdoor/Indoor format. We enjoyed the evening kickback offerings and the breakfast was great each morning. I'd specifically like to commend Nick (at check-in) and each person serving during the kickback and breakfast — — They were very courteous and personable. We would definitely look to stay here again on any trip to that area.

We stayed in a 2 room suite with 2 queen beds. The room was huge! Great for a family with kids because you can close off the sleeping area from the rest of the room. Plenty of unused space for your luggage, coolers, etc. I LOVE the bathroom. The soaps in the shower are in dispensers so it's easy to take as much as you need compared to regular hotel shampoo bottles. The hotel is pet friendly so expect to see a wide variety of animals during your stay. We did not check in until 9pm so we missed the kickback happy hour, but breakfast was great! The staff works really hard and you can tell they take pride in a job well done. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will always stay here while passing through Des Moines.

I became a gold star member so I could get a reasonable rate. Well that went out the window when I called for a reservation and it was $144.00 and a friend of our called for the same night and it was $76.00 so much for Drury's.

I travel to West Des Moines 2 to 3 times a month. Each trip, I stay here at the Drury Inn. I love it! it is walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants; the breakfast is hot, with a lot to choose from. Amy and the staff treat you right! it is a great place to stay.

Excellent Hotel. Very up to date Hotel. All workers are very personable and helpful. The Breakfast and Manager Hour were great, lots of food to choose from. I had a dead battery in my car in the morning, have NO idea how this happened, but the front desk has a portable battery to start your car, and in five minutes I was all AOK. I really appreciate that gesture, and what a great way to treat guests in a bind. I cannot thank you enough for saving us valuable travel time. Thanks again for a nice stay, quiet at night, clean and bright, just a great hotel. Bill and Louise Dorner.
