I was given a horribly small room when I reserved a bigger room — they overcharged me $100.00 and refused to refund it for 2-3 days. The desk lady and manager could not tell me why I was overcharged for $100. The entrance of the hotel smells like cigarettes. Beds are hard. Horrible stay will NEVER stay in another Super 8 hotel again! If I could give a — 5 star rating I would. Avoid this place like the plague.

Started over the weekend in Storm Lake, IA, in room 200. It's a pretty basic hotel, but it was very clean and comfortable. It's had it's ups and downs over the years, but it is currently a very well run establishment. The only issue we had was that the air conditioner seemed to be leaking a bit — we mentioned it on the way out, and they assured us it would be looked at and fixed.

I gave the super 8 the highest rating because of the staff and environment. The staff here was helpful and kind in everyway. Even though it was a hot and humid two days my room was the coldest (I set the air conditioner that way because it's my preference) dryest room I've slept in, that I can remember. While the beds and sheets were clean there was some issues. The walls needed to be cleaned and the carpet was more than dirty or well used (though that's not the staffs fault). This super 8 far exceeded my expectations in comfort and friendliness.

Mixed experience. We booked a suite but it was only a large room with two beds. Low on amenities. High price. Staff was accommodating.

We have family in the Storm Lake / Alta area and travel back there quite often. And always stay at the Super 8. It is always clean, quite and comfy. And the employees are always very nice. The ONLY complaint (if I can even call it that) is that the doors are SO thin you can hear everything in other rooms while walking down hallway. I highly recommend them to anyone traveling to the Storm Lake Area.

The hotel was clean, room was very large. It got increasingly warm as the night progressed however but it was still an enjoyable experience.

I stayed here for a week while traveling for work. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even though it was right along the main roads in town, I didn't notice too much traffic noise. The rooms were fairly standard and well-kempt. Overall, a pretty standard Super 8.

This super 8 motel In storm lake Iowa has the best and friendliest employees that I've ever had! They make u feel comfortable and at home and they take time to talk with u! I can't wait to tell everyone that I know bout it and to come here verses anyplace else keep it up u guys r awesome!

WONDERFUL experience! I would highly recommend to anyone coming through Storm Lake to stay at this Super8! We were in town for a college visit, and my son ended up staying at the dorms so I stayed alone in the room. I was very comfortable, the room was clean and tidy. No issues at all. The free breakfast was perfect for me! The staff were ALL very helpful. I would definitely stay again!

Good service, what you would expect at a super 8. No disappointments.

Water pressure bad and carpets need shampooed. Bed nice. Breakfast was just cereal and waffles juice and coffee.

The people at the front desk were very nice and the rooms were nice although the recliner they had in the rooms was awful. The bed was your average hotel bed, not too hard, not too soft and the TV had enough channels to keep me entertained.

It smelled like cigarette smoke even though I got a non-smoking bedroom. It's a nice detail that they have free breakfast, although everything is instant made.

Decent selection for breakfast. Recently remodeled with new furniture and decorations in rooms.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Pretty quite even though it is on a busy intersection beds pretty comfy too.

Location is right by a busy street and the walls are thin so road noise is a problem. We had a suite so the room was good sized. The desk did not have any info about the Waterpark in town. The sunsets by the lake are beautiful. But the hotel itself is not wonderful.

Room and service was fine. No real complaints other than really strong intoxicating vanilla smell throughout the lobby and the hallway to the rooms. It was fine in the room though.

It's the best in storm lake, that's not saying a lot though. No extra pillows!

Love it! Staff are very nice and respectful and made sure my time here went well. Clean rooms and a nice location near food and stores. Definitely would come back.

Room is a little small and check-in was a little slow. Once you get inside and settle down this hotel is really nice and the service is great. Low price and really clean and we'll kept rooms. Staying here was a great choice. I will definitely stay here again.

The staff is Great and the rooms are clean I have stayed there many times.
