The inside water park was fine but was not a fan of the outside water park. We stay in the hotel for one night and paid $300 and I still haven’t got my $30 back on my card.

Great staff! Our favorite server recognized us from last year! Two huge waterparks attached to resort. Large playground, lighthouse, and rock pier for strolling. Bikes to rent. Two diving boards, one seems like 30 feet high… This place is a gem!

The staff at Kings Pointe were extremely helpful and fun to work with planning a surprise engagement for our soon-to-be son-in-law and our daughter. Michelle Schreck’s helpful advice and perfectly beautiful backdrop was much appreciated! We were thrilled with the whole experience and so thankful for the great staff for all the special details.

Just went to the water park and it’s a great facility!

We really had a fabulous time here last night-this afternoon. The service was fantastic, the heartbeat of that being Kristal at the front desk. She was so fantastic. When asked if there was a microwave we could use to make our daughter her (gluten-free dietary needs) food, within TWO MINUTES Kristal had maintenance bring one right to our room. Deb in the restaurant took great care of us at the breakfast buffet. Our room was very clean and comfortable, loved being right on the lake at ground level. Our daughter has special needs and not every place works well for her extra needs, but we had everything we needed and felt at home here. I noticed some other kiddos with special needs in the pool area as well. I've worked in management for ten years, give Kristal a raise so she sticks around! Completely made our stay. Thank you for a great stay, we will make it an annual trip to end our family's big birthday month.

We do have to say, Yadyra was great at the front desk! We checked in and asked that we don’t get the rooms on second floor with the vents from the kitchens right in front of the sliding glass doors, like we did last time. We walked in and it was the same exact room. My husband went down and Yadyra kindly switched us to third floor. She was very pleasant and professional. We do have to say King’s Pointe is over priced for the location. You are paying for the lake view, if your room has it, and you don’t have a kitchen vent in front of your door! You are also paying for the water park area if you use it…which we do not. We do a lot of traveling. We have ate at Regatta Restraunt several times and have never had a horrible meal but have never had a great meal either! Hubby had prime rib and it was very gristly. He couldn’t even chew some of the pieces. I had Cobb salad and the lettuce could have been more fresh. It was way too much lettuce for the rest of the toppings. We have researched and found another motel across the street with very good reviews we will try next time.

There was a guy with his feet on the serving counter for two hours, this is where they service your food and drinks, after complaining of this and his standing in the way of paying customers he was still there 1and a half hours later.

The suites were a perfect size for our family of 6. Both watermarks and nearby activities provided plenty to do for a weekend for kids of all ages! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and restaurant in site is GREAT as well!

Rooms were impressively clean! Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The kids had a great time at the water park. Only downfall was the smell of the lake due to an algae issue that was going on this week while we were there.

We just left today and can not wait to go back! This is truly a hidden gem! The hotel was clean, staff was so incredibly friendly/polite and the water park was too much fun!
This was our first time going but will not be our last! Without a doubt Kings Pointe will be an annual stop for us! Thank you Kings Pointe!

Great getaway. Mary Kay in the Regatta Grill was a highlight for us. She was warm friendly and welcoming. The roo. Was fair the bed was older could replaced. All around we were happy.

This is a great place to take families with small children or older children. This is a facility that can be in the cold winter days and hot summer days. I love the coupons that come in the mail periodically.

We stayed in a cottage and it was wonderful! Lots of space and the amenities in it are great. Highly recommend and will for sure be staying again.

While the atmosphere is great the service to get food and drinks was ridiculous. My daughter waited 25 minutes for 1 slice of pizza. It was well over in the 100 degrees mark yesterday and the line was one hour long for even a bottle of water. There should be water stations outside set up as well as easy grab and go snacks/sandwiches so people can eat in a timely manner.

What a beautiful hotel. Excellent service. Restaurant was fabulous. A Gem for Storm Lake.

We had a great time! My son loved the indoor water park. I loved that it wasn't so deep he couldn't swing on his own. The room was really nice. We can't wait to come back during the summer and try the outdoor water park and lake activities! The only thing was the not too kid friendly Halloween movie on Saturday night. So many other options to pick from.

Great waterpark! The staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and the water park was not over crowded. The restaurant is out of this world! The steak was one of the best I have ever had! Nachos and tacos were great too! Keep up the amazing work!

This is a great place for families with kids of all ages. Indoor and outdoor water parks are a blast! Be sure to check hours and details of room packages, to get the best deal for what you want. If you stay one night, you get two full days of swimming, which is a great deal. Highly recommended!

The facility from the outside and the general interior is great and week kept. The room layout was odd and not as spacious as we had been sold. Housekeeping got the beds made and towels replaced but I killed about 10 flies in the first 15 minutes. The staff needs to be trained a bit more on professionalism. Everyone we spoke to seemed brash and a bit annoyed when we had questions. I witnessed a front desk employee use a few choice words while trying to get the desk printer to work. Not a bad place in general, but for the money they need to step it up.

Our family of 6 adults and 4 children did an overnight at the resort. The water park was mostly good. Several things not working at park but still a good time. The concrete around the pool is very VERY slippery. You expect it to be slippery some, its wet, however, I was walking (not playing or hopping or running) around the indoor pool and slipped on the paint smacking my knee and scraping a toe. In a different area my son was also walking and slipped and fell backward hitting his head, again around indoor pool and using extra caution since I had fallen a few minutes before. The rooms? Horribly over priced with miserable beds. The hide-a-bed was a joke, a better nights sleep would have been had sleeping on the floor. None of us slept well and after coming off a week of county fair with a busy show schedule none of us should have had trouble finding sleep. The bathrooms had no exhaust fans. The Wi-Fi did not work in either room. At the price of these rooms a person really expects to have simple amenities. Also no breakfast offered. The staff didn't really have any answers for any of the questions we asked, this was true of the front desk, restaurant and pools. Most staff were not real friendly. We did enjoy the food for the most part, though it was very pricy and several plates were not prepared as requested and at those prices you really expect them to be.

The beds are uncomfortable. Thr staff was less than pleasant. We called a month in advance to confirm our reservations. At no point did they tell us that because we booked through a third party our water park tickets weren't included. Has we known we would have canceled our reservations with the third party. It would have saved us 70 dollars. Don't waste your money go to great Wolfe lodge.

I don't even know where to start. Our room was wrong. We were suppose to have a north facing balcony room (have confirmation that's what we were suppose to get), checked in and asked why we weren't getting the suite with the balcony and was told they had limited of those. Was also told after they ran our card, there was going to be a $30 dollar charge that will fall off (we'll see if that happens), checked out bank account and they only took out one day and will take out the rest upon check out, that put a halt to everything we had planned because we wanted to make sure the room got paid for. Turned the water on in the "kitchen" area and the faucet flew off and water shot up into the air. Apparently, someone unscrewed the piece that holds it together. The room was overpriced for what's included. The people above our room stomped and ran half the night. I complained numerous times about the stomping and running above us. It was so hard things in our room was rattling and my sister heard it through the phone. The walls are paper thin and could hear everybody's conversations clear as day. The staff didn't know where anything was located. The bed was super hard, there was little to no internet access, we asked the housekeepers to vacuum our room and get the trash, she said ok, came back from the water park and the trash was still there and no vacuum was ran. The "gift shop" is a joke. They have adult items but no child things.

We spent July 3rd & 4th here. We had a fantastic experience at the hotel, the staff was phenomenal. The Water park itself was really great as well. We were really disappointed in the staff at the water park — very rude and unaccommodating. They were out of: water bottles (they were able to offer cups of water after much confusion — it took four staff members to decide they could give us cups of water), all sodas except Crush & every food item that we asked for on the menu (chicken tenders meal and cheese pizza). It just amazed me that on a holiday, they were out of everything — one of their busiest days. So, we left for every meal, but overall it was a positive experience — the kids had a great time!

Staff at check in were very short and rude to my husband when he was trying to obtain a handicap accessible room for me. Several times throughout our stay no one was at the front desk because they were off chatting with other staff or in the back on their phone (which we saw first hand). The indoor pools were not heated at all so the water was so cold my daughter had blue lips within 5 minutes. It took a very long time to receive drinks and food in the restaurant and they were out of a lot of items. The water park was out of towels by 9:15 am and there was less than 20 people there, which tells me no one was keeping up on laundry. The resort was not full or even close to it. The rooms were nice and the water park staff was great but that’s about it. Definitely not worth the price you pay to stay. Customer service needs a complete overhaul. The beach was also very dirty and needed garbage picked up.

The waterproof is great, especially if you have children. The hotel portion is very expensive, especially for the quality. 300$ is the listed price of our room but the bathroom had peaking wallpaper. The walls and floors are really thin. You can here much of what goes on in the rooms next to yours and if children run across the floor of the room above yours late night and early morning you will here it. If you get settled next to an unruly baby room it will be loud. One expects this kind of thing at lower end hotel but for this list price I expected better. It's probably better to stay somewhere else and just visit the water park once or twice.

Spent the night at the water park for a weekend getaway with the family, we have three small children. We had a great time at the pool and water park. It was great for the kids and kept them entertained the while day. The outdoor area is definitely the way to go but it was fun coming to sun inside again after dinner! The hotel was clean and the room was large, the staff was nice. The only con was the wall paper in the bathroom was peeling off in a few places.

I ate at the restaurant in the resort. Food was great as well as the service. Great view of the lake while dining. The food was reasonably priced for the fine atmosphere.

Have stayed in the hotel itself and the rentable cabins on the lake. Our toilet in the cabin went out a couple times but they were nice and quick about sending someone down to fix it. The hotel is nice and clean and would be nice to visit for a good weekend on the lake.

Great service at the front desk. The Regatta Grill has one of the best ribeye steaks I've eaten in years! The cleaning staff is wonderful and did a great job. The water park is perfect for the family. Plenty to do. I was here for 10 days on business in a family suite. I recommend it! Plenty of wild life as well.

So beautiful, rooms are clean, Wi-Fi works great. Not the best food though (portion and cost wise) easy to eat out though.

We stayed at Kings Pointe three nights unfortunately. Service: We got to the hotel Thursday and they said we would get our water park passes Friday since it wasn't open on Thursdays. Friday evening we went to get our passes and they refused to give them to us because we should have gotten them when we checked in. We gave up on that fight and decided to pack a cooler and sit in the lobby to enjoy a few drinks while looking out at the lake. After an hour of sitting and drinking quietly and respectfully, we were told by a worker there is a strict no drinking or eating policy in the lobby. This was because guests are coming in and there were high schoolers there for prom that night. We were only allowed to drink in our rooms, so it didn't allow us to catch up with a few family members staying there. The following night we saw people drinking noisely in the lobby with their bare feet on the furniture. Must be a strict policy. Restaurant: We had a decent experience one morning when we were literally the only people. Went back the next day and they said it would be a wait. There were four tables in the entire restaurant. The reason was because there were only two servers and one cook, so I guess two servers and one cook couldn't handle five tables. As we were telling our family that we were going to go eat somewhere else, the hostess made a very childish, rude face and rolled her eyes at my husband. Extremely unprofessional.

We stayed the night in the adjoining hotel. The room was nice enough, although the bed was a bit more firm than I'd like. The water park outside was closed for the season, so we went to their indoor pool. The indoor pool looked great… Online! For the cost of admission and how many people were there each day, I'd think they'd be about to maintain the equipment better. A lot of the equipment either didn't work, or worked poorly. My kids did have a lot of fun though.

Best service I've had at Regatta Grill in years. I will ask for our server, Lydia, again. She was friendly, efficient, and sincere. The food was good too. A welcome change from past visits. Please keep the positive changes coming. Hire more staff like Lydia. Customer service is everything!

The stay was just ok. It is over priced during the winter season (not sure how much rooms are during the summer) for what the water park has to offer. My kids enjoyed it but we have been to Great Wolf Lodge and the cost of the rooms were about the same with SO much more to offer. There are all sorts of things for the family to do during the day within the resort. I wouldn't go back to Kings Pointe. We would much rather spend the same amount of money and have far more to do at Great Wolf Lodge. Oh, and to get a room with a microwave you have to spend and extra $30-40 per night. And like most of the other reviews, the staff weren't the friendliest.

My wife and I visited Regatta Grill for Valentine's Day dinner. The food tasted great and the servers were especially friendly. The chef came out to our table to ask how we liked the dinner and was genuinely interested in our thoughts on the upcoming changes to the menu. We will definitely be eating there again in the future.

We stayed here this past weekend. Overall it was good, our daughter loved swimming and playing on the kid part. Rooms were nice but chilly and couldn't adjust the temperature. When we called for a late check-out the next morning the front desk person was rude on the phone and said all they could so was 1130 and hung up. Customer service wasn't the best and would make me thing twice about coming back.

I give this place 2 out of 5 because it's a resort. We were offered water park wrist bands when we checked in. I refused them so we should have been refunded the resort charge. It was a typical standard king room. Cable was a bit difficult to understand. The bed itself was so hard I had to sleep on the couch while my husband had the bed. The price of $174 in the winter months was way too much considering I myself work at a hotel front desk n our winter rates don't exceed $101. The only highlight I had seen in the room was the makeup remover wipe in the bathroom. Oh and what you would expect from any hotel and resort, a FREE breakfast. There wasn't very many options n we had to pay extra for it. Also, no 24/7/365 front desk free coffee.

Not going back anytime soon. Good at restaurant was not good. Phone did not work in room. Wife left a ring in room and went back to get later on and was not there. Front desk not very helpful. Wouldn’t be so bad but was her wedding ring. They had a lot of poor excuses. Said we’ll call. Almost forgot, went to get kids morning baths and cold water and tried to give. Shower after swimming at water park and that was also cold.

My kids & I have stayed at King’s Pointe a handful of times in the last 4 years. We were unfortunately quite disappointed in our recent stay. We got a 2 room, queen suite… although the room itself was ‘okay’ it wasn’t very large for the price, not the end of the world because we were there to swim. When we organize this weekend it’s a girls trip with friends that don’t get an opportunity to get together often & Kings Pointe is a great middle spot! Once down at the waterpark we grabbed a table & went to get drinks… while the drink list at the concession showed about 6-7 options when I went to order they only had 3, none of which were good choices, in my opinion. Whatever we’re still determined to make the most of our trip! At 9 we went to our rooms to get the kids situated & order room service. We called the front desk around 920ish only to be told room service was done for the evening. Fine, we got the kids settled down & ran down to the restaurant to grab something to eat, it’s now not quite 930. We get downstairs & the restaurant is closed! Fortunately we’d already fed our kids frozen pizza from the concession stand but as adults we wanted something a little better than frozen pizza so we waited… bad idea! Even tho the website clearly states on Saturday the restaurant is open until 10 it was closed well before 10pm! I called to the front desk to get an additional roll away for our room! I was told it would be $15!

Rooms were nice. People were friendly. The pool was a bit dated but clean. Kids had fun.

Nice and clean. Super warm facility and nice warm water. Great water slides, play equipment, basketball hoop and lazy river. My kids love it!

It's a great water park to visit when you want a day out in the summer, but is expensive. I personally have never stayed in a room but I would guess they are pretty spendy as well. You should have a nice view of the lake on most sides of the building and the waterpark also extends indoors so rain or shine, even in the winter you can go swimming. You also can buy alcohol while you are swimming, but be warned the drinks are expensive. Got plenty to do and might cost you a bit to get inside but is worth if you plan on it being a most of the day adventure.

If you're on a budget for a wedding this is the place to go, but don't expect a amazing experience. The night of rehearsal we had to wait around for a half hour cause the "wedding coordinator" went home and failed to explain to us that we were on our own for the rehearsal and were suppose to get a key for the room we were suppose to walk out of. She also did everything for our wedding however she felt like. I had to hunt her down whenever I had a question or wanted something fix. The tables and chairs in the reception room were set up however and weren't how I wanted them. The chairs outside were also not set up how I wanted them. To top it all off I paid $500 for them to serve the wrong beer! The water heaters weren't working in the pools so all my wedding guest got to swim in ice cold water. I defiantly wouldn't recommend having your wedding here, unless you're on a tight budget. If I could go back and do my wedding over again I'd go elsewhere!

Great place for a wedding! Wedding planner was very accommodating and extremely hard-working she made herself available for all of our needs. The chef went above and beyond extremely helpful! Was able to accommodate special food request and the safety of our guest food allergies. The cleanliness the affordable ability with extremely pleasant staff. The kids (a bridesmaids) had a great time at the water park. The new chef of all of two weeks will definitely improve it to an excellent rating hotel. Their only weakness, they need more staff. To go to next level wedding accommodation a chair for doing wedding hair, grooms room i. E. Pool table TV comfortable chairs for guys, bar. 170 people at the wedding, perfect size. Thank you to all of your staff!

Very nice hotel. All areas are immaculate. Staff is efficient, and well able to respond to your needs/requests. The restaurant serves excellent food, but prices can be a bit high, excepting breakfast. Highly recommend a lake view if any are available.

Water park was quite fun, but the water was on the chilly side even for the indoor pool. The rooms were reasonably quiet. However the price is exceptionally high for the location.

I was only at the hotel very briefly, checking in with a wedding party. From the half-hour-ish that I was there I was impressed by available parking, convenient location, beautiful views, and large bridal suite. My colleague who stayed overnight said she thought the rooms were fantastic and enjoyed her stay.

Rides are great and I love the location. A few staff were a bit rude and weren't paying much attention to the swimmers. The food is a bit over priced. Over all I would come back but I will bring my own food next time. It is fun for a day but I would stay the night here.

We went there for the day just for the water park and it was great. Plenty for our kids to do who are 4 and 6. Inside was spacious and fun and the outside had cool stuff for the kids to play on. Lifeguards on duty were always watching and very good.

Great food (I had the ahi tuna, only complaint is it didn't come with some specialty dipping sauce add most places do but it still tasted delicious), fun water park, plenty for everyone without being too much or too little. The indoor pool could've been a little cooler but it was a very hot and sunny day. Coming here at the right time of year like the summer especially on weekdays when it at least seems less crowded is great. Came here with my family including some younger siblings who had a blast. I enjoyed the lazy river, minus the rude swarm of high school? kids who were all play fighting with the equipment, but that's not the resort's fault. All in all I have no real important complaints and I had a great time.

Rooms are average, a few of the staff have been somewhat friendly, however overall they lack hospitality and customer service skills. The food at Regatta is overpriced for its average quality. The indoor water park is fun, but not worth traveling from far away. The outdoor water park is currently half-functioning and they won't comp to customers because they have a sign stating it doesn't work. Really? Also, they Tyson meat plant stench is unbearable in the mornings. Not impressed at all, wouldn't recommend.

To start our room was not clean it had big red stains all over the carpet, the hair dryer malfunctioned and caught fire, the bed box spring was broken and there for the bed sunk extremely bad on one side and was told that if we would like we could pack up all of our things and move to a different room and with four children that didn't sound like a great idea to us, we took the kids to the arcade and the quarter machine was broke so we went to the front desk and they said they didn't have any change so we went to the restaurant and they also did not have any quarers so we got our quarters from the pop machine. The restaurant had a 45 minute wait and they acted pissy because we didn't have a reservation but when we checked in to the room we asked if we would need one and they said we would not need one. One of the outside pools was shut down because it was being worked on, we were not told this when we booked the room for the weekend. Not a great experience just saying.

Aside from the fact that my door would not lock even after maintenance and the front desk staff revealed the secret to making the door lock, the stay was pleasant. The hotel is definitely showing its age EVERYWHERE. We had a king room with a hide a bed. The layout was horrible in that the bed was so close to the wall there wasn't room for a night stand or lamp. The full length mirror was blocked by the frig, no microwave, and the remote batteries were weak. The staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be. The hotel was busy so no room change was offered and everyone was so sorry that my room would not lock. Somehow it seemed to be my fault. Did the chair in front of the door thing. So check your doors when you check in as how you open your door and the weather could affect your security. My room was not the only room experiencing this problem. View was great, room was clean. Food not so good.

The water park is very enjoyable, and the slides are a lot of fun. It's even better when the outdoors is open.

NO swimming in april (inside or outside water park) during the week days which is stupid even if it was open we would have to pay thats not included in your $100+ a night room. NO Continental breakfast. And the room wasn't anything to brag about for the price we paid. Day of check out had 2 different times maids knocking at the door before 10 am. And check out is 11 AND my "do not disturb" card was in the door. The beds were comfy and restaurant was delicious but pricey. Needs better hours for stuff and less cost for things. Won't be back waste of money.

Staff at check-in were very hurried and were unlocatable for our 9 am checkout. The rooms were fine except for the 2 to 230 hall noise I presume was connected to social events or a bar closing. Looking back on the rate, it is hard to believe how much they ended up charging for the room. Perhaps a good match if you use the water park, but I don't know if it is included since we didn't use it. If you don't intend to use it, I recommend checking other hotels for equivalent quality and half the price.

I register at the reduced government rate on Monday for the week, checking out on Sunday morning. The clerk (manager) told me I was lucky, I got their last open room on Friday night. On Thursday night when returning from night shift work at 2:00 am, the bill was under the door. I called the front desk and was informed that I didn't have a reservation for Friday and Saturday night. I was then informed to talk to the manger in the morning. When speaking to the manager in the morning, she was rude and non-apologetic. She said I never had a reservation and she couldn't help me. I guess she didn't have time to show me the paper work I initialed when checking in, or maybe knew what was on it. I suspect after reserving the room at the reduced government rate, she found she could re-book the room at the higher weekend rate. I have stayed there before for business and pleasure, both alone and with groups and found it a pleasant experience. But after not honoring a reservation and then the rude, unprofessional behavior of the manger, I'll stay somewhere else. I will also warn all my colleagues get a copy of the reservation.

We were there to swim at the indoor waterpark. The pool was warm and staff friendly.

Even over Christmas, this place was great. Staff was excellent and our room was clean and tidy. The front desk said they had no extra pillows, which was odd. Other than that, a great stay.

This hotel is very against assisting their customers. The employees ensure that they are taking care of situations in which is a lie. I called to cancel a reservation within minutes and was told by the front desk it will taken care of and they still removed funds from my account. When advising the manager Wendy, whom in which did not return the phone call of a message left 4 hrs prior of reaching out again, to say they will refund half. They say they do a cancellation number in which all hotels do not do, and blame the customers for the lack of knowledge of how they operate like we work there. Customer avoid at all costs because they will not go to bat for you! Horrible Manager!

Incredibly poor for the rates they charge. They have smart TVs, but what's the point when the Wi-Fi is so weak it won't connect? Couldn't even browse the web because of horrible Wi-Fi which made it impossible to complete necessary tasks for work. Two outlets in the room didn't work, and the shower is only lukewarm at the hottest adjustment. You would think you were getting so much more by the looks of the place. Front desk staff is not very friendly or willing to help, and to even make the reservations I had to call 5+ times because no one even answers the phone.

Ripping off BV county residents for 7 years, They do not advertise or have posted that bv county residents get a discount (we paid for that damn pool to) BV residents: Ages 12 and older are $8 + tax and Ages 11 and under are $6 + tax. Thanks!

Highway robbery! I have been to the water park with family and stayed elsewhere but the kids wanted to stay there this time. The rooms are in no way worth the cost, the restaurant food and service was lousy. The hotel staff was rude, unprofessional, and lacked basic customer service skills. Complaint to the manager was futile and you could tell why the other employees were the way they were. Do yourself a favor buy the water park passes, stay at the Super 8, and use the money you save to buy yourself a nice meal in town.

I first choice to stay in Storm Lake when on business. It's a class on its own compared to the other Hotels/Motels available. Even brought my family once and we enjoyed the water park. Just on my way to go there again.

Paper thin walls, mediocre service for the price, Wi-Fi is nearly unusable, check out is at 11 and they would not extend it.

If there was another place that we could go in Storm Lake we would. Took a while to find power outlets that worked. The Wi-Fi was intermittent. The shower was full of hard water stains and in need of repair. The first room they gave us had a deck door that didn't work. When we talked to the front desk about it they did move us to a different room. However they downgraded us from a suite to a regular room. The furniture could have used a good vacuuming. There was quite a bit of dust that kicked up when we sat diwn. Not worth the $200 we spent for the night.

Another year, another disappointment. The only thing that this hotel has going for it is the realistic lack of other options in Storm Lake. Pro's — for the first time in five years, the water park was working AND the water was heated. Usually its one or the other, but not both. Con's — After a number of years, this hotel is starting to show serious signs of wear and tear with absolutely no evidence of reinvestment into the property. This is acceptable in a Super 8, but not at a $140 per night hotel room. Just a few examples: Our entertainment center had the doors ripped off. The wallpaper had a rip in it, no extra pillows or blankets in the closet. Still running with console televisions (Welcome to 2014 folks). No microwaves in the rooms. The food at the Regatta Grill was served cold. Again. Oh. And for the second year in a row, someone came home drunk from the bar at two in the morning and spend the next hour banging around, yelling, fighting, etc. Bottom Line: I expect all of the above at a two star, $75 per night hotel. I expect a bit more at $140 per night.

Great for families. Kids 3 to14 enjoyed water park. Friendly staff.

I read all of these reviews after we booked our stay! And I must say I was a little hesitant as to how the trip was going to go over after reading some BAD reviews. BUT Im happy to announce we had a TERRIFIC time here! We are a young couple with 4 Small children (1, 4, 6, 8) and we were looking for a nice place to take our children to run off some energy! The check in process was VERY fast and simple, they gave us all the details of our stay and events that were being held that evening! Our was was spectacular, and very neat! The pool was nice and warm, and very clean. Alllll of the staff was very helpful and professional! The buffet in the resturant is perfect for picky kids and priced decently. I would reccommend this resort to anyone with small children! WE WILL BE BACK.

Excellent waterpark. If it was working. Booked several months ago for labor day weekend and arrived to find that the waterpark is not working and not open. NO phone call was made to let us know this would be occurring — still charged full price for room/waterpark despite the fact we couldnt use it! Made several attempts to speak with management — who were all mysteriously busy and could not be bothered with customer satisfaction.

For the July 4th holiday, my young family (kids 9, 6, 5, 10mos) and hubby and I decided to try out Kings Pointe (indoor/outdoor) waterpark. We had been there before but never when it was warm enough to enjoy the outside. Had a blast! It was a wonderful outdoor experience! So. We thought we would come back to close out the summer (this last weekend). I made the reservations with the hotel clerk, telling her how impressed we were a few months ago with the outdoor park and wanted to do it one more time before end of summer. So we booked it. When we arrived (Friday afternoon) it was 86 degrees and sunny. Ready and excited to jump right in. Well, the Manager Wendy Oleson informs us that the outdoor park isn't open today because they didn't have enough staff to run it? That was the whole reason we came there (We are BIG fans of the Okoboji waterpark for the indoors — great lazy river, hot tub, etc. ) Anyway, she was not very accomodating, the check in process was slow and they were understaffed. She forgot to give us water park passes and so when we went to check in at the park, they gave us a hard time (young kids, a bit unprofessional. Saying I trust you, but.? " Anyway, the water was cold just as I remember it, the Holographic tube slide was broke (again like last time, etc. ) We asked for a crib at check in, which they brought. And should have just given to us for all the inconveniences that occurred. $10 fee.
